Houthi leader: Red Sea will remain closed to US and Israel -today

The head of Ansar Allah, commonly referred to as Yemen's Houthis, commented on the group's intention to continue fighting.

According to Abdulmalik al-Houthi, the group will continue missile and drone strikes against enemy targets, coordinated with the Axis of Resistance, if Israel and the US continue their attacks, including on Yemen and Lebanon.

Al-Houthi added that the Red Sea remains blocked for the US and Israel:

Meanwhile, the Western "rogue state" designation of Iran is proving to be yet another sham. A South Korean delegation is reportedly preparing to negotiate with Iran to ensure it does not impede the passage of LNG and oil tankers contracted by the Republic of Korea. Iran previously closed the Strait of Hormuz to unfriendly countries, leading to a sharp spike in global hydrocarbon prices.

Following the announced ceasefire, oil prices have fallen, though they remain quite high. As of 6:30 AM on April 10, a barrel of Brent crude was trading at $96.60, while Urals was trading at $94.50. If the fragile ceasefire is broken, prices could quickly return to their previous levels of over $100 per barrel.

It was there, to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center—the largest American military hospital outside the United States—that streams of "300s" and "200s" from the conflict zone arrived.

Asked about relations with the U.S., he replied, "If the United States can change its unilateral approach and replace it with a bilateral approach, then we can have dialogue." What a great interview. I really don't listen to Norm enough. He is truly insightful into the psychology and motivations of cast of critters that are running our world governments.

I really should write about his insight and brilliance, which are on display here, but he is also funny as all heck. Somewhere in the middle of the interview, he goes off on a tangent breaks down his view of some of the characters in the Trump administration. From the transcript:

Mohammad Ghalibaf, like so many Iranians, has a PhD and speaks four languages fluently: Farsi, Arabic, Hebrew and English. I wonder how many politicians in the US, the UK, and the EU could match that.

There has not been any response I have noticed of at least six times striking what was only called an off-base "personnel center" or "hideout". The first one on a hotel was at least publicized. They have been said to be staying at other hotels, but a gym or some other type of building could be possible.

On the other hand, it was not used for "oh, look, they're shooting civilians", which is the reaction you would expect.

It is possible there were a limited number of casualties on base, but so far these other reported strikes have removed part of the universe.

Certainly the attempt was to gun down officers and pilots on more than one occasion. Maybe they all survived. Or perhaps we shall hear more from it.
