    Default A strange personal experience looking at the sun - anyone knows / had similar?

    Hello, wondering if anyone knows anything about this experience I had?

    In summary: when looking at the sun for a prolonged period - it vanishes.

    Starting in 2021 I had one of those awakening moments in the middle of an 18 month period of dedicated research about strange things / behavior I saw. My research period started by seeing strange behaviour in Western politics, and expanded into a huge raft of topics.

    I'll just say the next part straight - even if it all sounds weird.

    Mid way through that research period, one day I was looking into a complex topic. In the center front of my head a headache built up quickly to feeling and sounding like a huge and audible crack, intensely painful for a few seconds, and then it subsided - perfectly fine. Onset to "all clear" was a couple of minutes.

    At the precise moment it subsided - I realized, sat back, and saw what can't be unseen - "Oh fook, it's all a Clown Show, Clown World, everything is a lie, we (humans) are not what we are taught (from the Western atheist perspective)."
    - I later learnt - Maya.

    Various weird things (best called spiritual or energetic experiences) started happening to me from that point onwards (I since learnt how to "not experience" the negative items - which were overwhelming).

    The point, and the query.

    From that moment onwards, I realized I could look at the sun and something very strange would happen, which I never experienced even as a child.

    Before the sun got changed from the normal yellow / sodium tint, to this high-UV bright white thing, I realized I could look into the sun and something very strange would happened:

    Imagine:
    - Looking straight at the sun (even at 2pm, not simply dusk or dawn);
    - Do no blink. No pain, just eyes watering a bit for about 8-12 seconds;
    - Then suddenly, the sun would vanish, I could see the sky / clouds through where the sun was;
    - Always there was a thick black ring around the sun circumference;
    - Often there was a magenta haze around the outside of the sun;
    - Occasionally magenta streaks from the black ring edge into the sky;
    - I could hold my gaze for as long as I wanted and just take in the show (the sun itself had vanished).

    I tried this many times, and each time it happened. It still intrigues me to this day.

    I have not found out anything about this. Has anybody had a similar experience, or better still, know about this?

    As a typical 50 yr old Brit / highly educated / very good career / etc, it took this period of research / awakening for me to realize - I actually knew nothing about everything, and must re-learn as a child.

    (Since this 180 degree change in my perspective of life and this Realm - what you'd call "normal life aims / desires" - I've given it all up, simply doesn't interest me).

    Hi, and welcome to the forum.

    There is a whole thread dedicated to the topic of sun gazing here.

    You can perform an advanced search by typing this into the search engine ..... "sun gazing".
    You can find the Advanced Search function at the right of the page on the black bar near the top.

    BTW, that sounds like a fascinating experience.

    Hi and welcome to the forum.

    I used to sun gaze for many years around 2010 onwards. At that time, I read a lot about it and looked at a lot of other people's experiences. What I learned is very important and that is to seriously respect the time when doing it, which is exclusively in the morning after sunrise within one hour and just before sunset also within one hour. Staring directly at the Sun at any other time can damage your eyes, leading to permanent vision problems.

    What you experienced is very likely phenomenon called "afterimage" or "retinal burnout."

    Here's how it works:

    The cells in your retina, which are sensitive to light, get overstimulated when exposed to bright light like that from the Sun.
    If you stare at the Sun for a long time, your retina’s photoreceptor cells (particularly the cones) become overstressed and can’t respond to light properly for a short while.
    The afterimage is a result of this overstimulation. Your retina essentially "shuts down" temporarily, and you may perceive a black spot or a fading image where the Sun was.

    If you're in a particularly bright area and stare at the Sun for long enough, the contrast between the bright light and the surrounding darker environment can cause your vision to temporarily "erase" the image of the Sun, giving the illusion that it vanishes or disappears.

    Please read the thread that Ewan mentioned to you and I suggest you watch the lectures of Hira Ratan Manek (HRM) an Indian man who became well-known for claiming to have lived for extended periods (up to several months) without consuming food or water, allegedly sustaining himself solely through sun gazing.

    He has undergone several tests in controlled environments. In some cases, researchers observed him during his sun gazing practice. For example, he was reportedly monitored for 211 days in 1995-1996 by Dr. S. R. Gaur, an Indian scientist, as part of an experiment. According to reports from his supporters, he did not eat or drink during this period.

    Is every mind connected to form a peer to peer network that creates the illusion of a shared reality, making the appearance of material reality a simulation created through shared beliefs?

    Welcome
    I can't speak to looking at the sun, but can you explain a bit more about the comment you made above.
    Thanks

    Hi,

    no, that is a bit unusual, although it is an independent good start.

    I say that as someone for whom the sunlight causes me to see more that is not a burn or after-image.

    Yes, visually and by its other energies, it can and should very well connect you to a natural state that rejects man's artificial constructs.

    I have combined both ancient mythology and current science in a thread about the Plasma Individual and the Sun.

    And yes, I would say your reaction about not experiencing that which typically chooses to present itself to consciousness is the way through.

    Total opposite of noisy people reinforcing their beliefs by noise and numbers.

    Instead, the outcome is states of clairvoyance.

    If this was applied correctly to the solar orb, yes, it would disappear and be replaced by the corona, not by distortions.

    Roughly speaking, there are realms of visual and other experiences, which, though not "ordinary", are still just repercussions from one's mind and body, rather than true vision, which is only accessible after some fashion of "cleaning" all that other stuff. Now is a good time to start, because, at the moment of death you lose the ability to make these clarifications, and will be stuck with whatever you made in life.
