    Default "NO" to Data Centers

A Powerful “No” to Data Centers

“They call us old stupid farmers, you know, but we’re not.” ~ Ida Huddleston

"As Mr. Global’s Big Tech arm continues to try to bribe and bully its way into rural and urban communities to build hyperscale AI data centers, local pushback is gaining steam. This has alarmed leading global tech platforms to such an extent that a boutique research firm called Data Center Watch (a spinoff of 10a Labs, which collects intelligence “to stay ahead of evolving threats” to AI) is now tracking grassroots opposition.

Reporting that “local activism threatens to derail the U.S. data center boom,” Data Center Watch says that residents have blocked or delayed $64 billion in data center projects over the last two years, describing the centers as “the new NIMBY [Not In My Back Yard] flashpoint.” The research firm adds, “From noise and water usage to power demands and property values, server farms have become a new target in the broader backlash against large-scale development. The landscape of local resistance is shifting—and data centers are squarely in the crosshairs.”

Reflecting this sea change, data centers are also “becoming an important issue in local politics.” Residents opposing a data center in Hobart, Indiana (see image above) have criticized officials’ fast-tracking of approvals, evasion of transparency, and sabotaging of due process and public participation. In some localities, this type of behavior has gotten officials recalled or voted out of office.

Data Center Watch’s focus is on 142 organized activist groups across 24 states, but individual families are also making a difference. In northern Kentucky’s Mason County, two sets of local landowners have made headlines for rejecting outsized offers for their farmland by an anonymous AI company. Mother Ida Huddleston and daughter Delsia Bare declined a combined $26.5 million for roughly half of their 1,200-acre property (the company offered $48K to $60K per acre), and father and son Timothy and Andy Grosser turned down $8 million ($35K/acre) for 200-plus acres where they raise cattle.

Both families emphasize the intangible value of the land, which they say “means everything” to them. In the case of the mother-daughter duo, the land has belonged to their family for generations. Bare said, “My grandfather and great-grandfather and a whole bunch of family have all lived here for years, paid taxes on it, fed a nation off of it. Even raised wheat through the Depression.”

Huddleston cannily questions why the company won’t reveal its identity and suggests that its rosy promises of jobs and economic growth are highly exaggerated: “I say they’re a liar, and the truth isn’t in them…. It’s a scam.” As Data Center Watch neutrally observes, local residents are proving savvy enough to “challeng[e] the prevailing narrative that tech development is always a local economic win.”

Unfortunately, because some other Mason County landowners have agreed to sell, the final outcome there is still in play. However, local news reports about Huddleston and Bare clearly resonated with readers, who have thanked the women for refusing the money and praised them as the heroes they are.

How Sam Altman and OpenAI sold the world on the utopian promise of safe AGI, when the reality is a desperate, $14 billion cash-burning panic barricaded behind armed guards. From the quiet assassination of their own internal safety teams and the explosive, real-world backlash that put a literal firebomb on Altman’s driveway, to the massive enterprise failure of the ChatGPT ecosystem and the terrifying rise of unhinged autonomous agents, here is how the biggest artificial intelligence empire in Silicon Valley is rapidly collapsing under the weight of its own God complex.

    <solari_newsletter@solari-two.com> https://solari.com/the-fast-approach...tions-to-date/

"Residents living near hyperscale AI facilities are raising alarms regulators have largely ignored: radiofrequency emissions linked to cancer clusters, industrial infrasound that operates below hearing range yet measurably harms health—perhaps not quite the vibrations the Beach Boys had in mind—and growing evidence that these facilities are the physical backbone of a surveillance apparatus.

In the U.S., grassroots opposition has blocked or delayed $64 billion in projects across 24 states.

    Bravo! Keep it up!

This is what the power of people working together looks like. It serves as an important reminder to never underestimate what an informed and organized community can achieve."

AI Data Centers ‘Spreading Like an Aggressive Cancer’
    by Brenda Baletti, Ph.D.
    May 6, 2026
    https://childrenshealthdefense.org/d...essive-cancer/

    (Podcast at the link)

"As demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing accelerates, a surge in massive data center developments across the U.S. is prompting scrutiny over their environmental and social costs.

“Daily Pulse” host Maria Zeee warned that despite an ongoing energy crisis, “They’re spreading like an aggressive cancer and the consequences are proving to be deadly.”

Central to her report is “Project Matador — The President Donald J. Trump Advanced Energy and Intelligence Campus,” a proposed data center in the Texas Panhandle set to be the largest data center in the world.

Spanning up to 6,000 acres, the facility is projected to consume, conservatively, 96 billion kilowatt-hours of energy annually — equal to more than half of all residential energy use in the state.

Local residents are protesting the center over pollution concerns and an expedited approval process.

Texas already houses at least 87 data centers, with 135 under construction and more than 600 in the planning stages.

Opposition to data centers has been building nationwide as communities criticize higher electricity bills, stress on existing power grids and heavy water use.

Those living near data centers also report health issues, including headaches and disrupted sleep.

Research links electromagnetic radiation (EMR) exposure from the high-voltage power lines and electrical substations required by data centers to childhood leukemia and other serious health and environmental impacts.

Zeee shared a report on a $27 billion Meta AI data center in Louisiana that illustrates the local impact: residents report rising rents, an influx of temporary workers, and surging noise and light pollution. “The residents often don’t realize what’s happening until it’s already happening,” said a local reporter. “Right now it’s chaos.”

Zeee argued that the AI infrastructure build-out serves a broader agenda of “ultimate control” and smart city surveillance.

Meanwhile, in Box Elder County, Utah, Canadian millionaire Kevin O’Leary — star of “Shark Tank” — is proposing a 40,000-acre center — nearly seven times the size of the government’s Matador Project — being fast-tracked by the state’s military installation development authority, Zeee reported.

As AI investment accelerates, calls are growing for stricter regulation, greater transparency, and meaningful community input before projects move forward. "

Why isn’t saltwater being used for heat regulation at data centers when it has a higher heat capacity and the byproduct would be freshwater….?

We just need to find an abundance of saltwater somewhere….

Have you ever put a pinch of salt in water when boiling it? Why do you do that? People also used to put it in car radiators because it has a higher heat capacity.

Maybe someone should ask their ai thingy what it thinks about this. People usually listen to those.

This whole water situation just goes down the drain.

AI Data Centers and the New World Order
    Greg Reese
    May 14, 2026https://substack.com/home/post/p-197419826

    (Podcast at the link)

" The AI Data Centers in America have already become hugely unpopular. The noise pollution from their cooling systems reach up to 100 decibels and run non-stop. They are drawing down aquifers in areas that are already in short supply, turning the water brown and tainting it with a disinfectant smell, and there is no benefit to the local community. A U.S. Chamber of Commerce report found that each data center provides about 157 jobs.

Because of all this, developers have been using non-disclosure agreements with local officials, and projects are announced only weeks before voting for approval. There are now nearly two-hundred active opposition groups across the United States, and its growing fast.

The official story is that the U.S. needs to stay competitive to beat China in an Artificial Intelligence arms race, but that story does not add up. The United States has already built over 4,000 data centers. China ranks at number four with 368. What they appear to be is the infrastructure for a new financial system, one that includes mass surveillance and autonomous weapons systems to protect it.

The U.S. dollar system is quickly collapsing, which would devastate the entire world economy. The only solution being played out is the AI agentic economy which requires a massive amount of computing power. This new AI agentic system will be run by autonomous software entities that can own wallets, earn and spend money, create contracts, and transact with each other without human intermediaries. This addresses the debt problem by growing the economy faster than the debt accumulates. Like the petrodollar, it extends U.S. dollar hegemony without fixing its core issue, the debt.

The Bank for International Settlements is “the bank for central banks.” It is immune from any national law and its employees have diplomatic immunity. It answers to no government on Earth and every central bank is a member. BRICS only appears to be in opposition to Western banking, it is not. BRICS is aligned with the rest of the world in adopting this new AI digital banking system. But a growing number of analysts agree that this is a temporary fix. After about ten years, the consumption of resources, the displacement of human workers, and the massive transfer of wealth to the few who own these AI agents, makes a fundamental restructuring unavoidable. And yet the entire world is going along with this plan. The question is, why?

As we covered in last week’s video, “The New World Order,” the emerging unipolar world is preparing for a major geological event that is expected to be catastrophic for the United States, and beneficial to Russia.

In the United States, data centers are being built inland and on elevated land, away from the coastlines. This is where all vital U.S. infrastructure is being moved, and is where billionaires are buying up acres by the millions.

China is building their data centers inland and high above sea level, over 1,200 km from their main user bases who have been complaining about latency and security. China has also built ready-to-occupy ghost cities at high elevation, deep inland, and on geologically stable platforms. And they are now using economic incentives to move its population into these cities and away from the coast.

Russia’s official government plan explicitly states the “opening up of new land for agriculture” and “easier transportation of goods in the Arctic” as positive effects of an expected pole shift. They are spending billions preparing for it. They have passed dozens of new laws aimed at stimulating economic growth and encouraging migration to the Arctic, including free land grants, subsidized mortgages, and other social benefits for those who make the move. Russian scientists have concluded that 13 million square kilometers of currently frozen territory will soon thaw and become “the center of Russian civilization and a land of great opportunity.” Russia is not frantically building data centers. They are passing homesteading laws and preparing for a windfall of new land mass.

The expected catastrophic geological event is the most elegant explanation for all the chaos happening on Earth today. It explains just about everything. The real mystery is this: what exactly is causing it, and how do the most powerful people on Earth know about it.
    "

("The real mystery is this: what exactly is causing it, and how do the most powerful people on Earth know about it."
But is it? Actually, NOT such a big mystery anymore, as the truth is leaking out and SpaceWeatherNews has been a major contributing factor in that process. )
