The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague has issued five “secret” arrest warrants for Israeli officials, including three politicians and two military personnel.

Media outlets reported on Sunday that it is unclear when the arrest warrants were issued. The ICC has often issued its arrest warrants secretly and only subsequently made them public.

One budget blown:

The Israeli armed forces have already spent their 2026 budget in the wake of the costly US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, a report says.

The Israeli army is having difficulty funding its many wars due to money shortages, Hebrew news outlet Israel Hayom reported on Sunday.

The Israeli army’s budget for 2026 is a staggering 111 billion shekels (38 billion USD), as the regime is the largest military spender in the world per capita after the US.

In 2026 alone, the regime has waged an extremely costly war against Iran and is currently mired in wars in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.

Since October 7, 2023, the regime’s military has been spending tens of millions of dollars each month for its genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed 72,000 Palestinians and wounded another 172,000.

The depletion of the 2026 budget means that tanks will not be repaired, there will be damage to training, operational capabilities, and site construction, as well as the approaching halt of production lines in military industries, the report said.

According to the report, the army is sending a clear message to the political level: “either reduce operational tasks and the size of forces in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and other fronts, or increase the budget to 177 billion shekels to match the tasks.”'

Due to the sharp disagreement between the two sides and the looming operational damages, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to hold an urgent security cabinet session on the matter, most likely on Tuesday, to resolve the dispute.

Israel’s budget for the 2026 fiscal year is 850.6 billion shekels (271 billion USD), which the regime’s parliament (the Knesset) was forced to change due to the operational costs of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran.

Following the US-Israeli aggression against Iran, which began on February 28, the regime was forced to spend a large part of its military budget reinforcing defense systems, especially the Iron Dome and the Iron Beam, in order to intercept waves of Iranian drones and missiles.

Tight US school budgets are draining as diesel prices keep soaring in the aftermath of the unprovoked US-Israeli war on Iran, which is driving up the costs and making it more expensive to bus students and run generators.

Authorities say they will not be ​able to afford it in case the conditions persist, and school districts from Yakima, Washington, to Waco, Texas, are siphoning money away from emergency funding reserves to keep buses running.

There are reports that officials in remote Alaska are scrambling to secure enough ‌fuel as part of efforts to keep the lights on.

“It’s more than a straw on the camel’s back, it’s like a haystack,” Yakima Superintendent Trevor Greene said.

The strain points to just one of many adverse impacts of the bloody US-Israeli onslaught against Iran, which has disrupted the flow of around a fifth of the world’s oil supplies.

Since the onset of the war of aggression on February 28, fuel prices have posted one of their most rapid climbs on record.

The steep increase has upended economies globally and has caused enough pain ​in the US to be a political liability for President Donald Trump ahead of the November midterm elections, when his Republican Party is trying to maintain slim majorities in Congress.

According to the American School Bus Council, US school bus ​operators are major buyers of diesel, and they consume more than 800 million gallons of diesel annually.

Since December, the price US fleets of all types pay for diesel fuel has risen 67% to reach $5.52 a gallon – an increase that would add about $1.8 billion to the annual cost of operating those school buses, a recent analysis by fleet ​management technology provider Samsara (IOT.N) shows.

Executive Director of the Association of School Business Officials International, James Rowan, said that it is a huge challenge for schools already facing tight budgets.

“Districts can plan for higher costs, but rapid swings in prices make it ​very difficult to budget accurately,” he said. “Even districts that have been able to absorb costs this year through reserves or temporary measures – they may not have that same flexibility going forward.”

Approximately a third of US school districts are now tapping money from other funds or programs to cover their increased fuel costs, while almost a fifth are utilizing reserves or rainy day funds, according to a survey of 188 school officials commissioned by the School Superintendents Association (known as AASA), and conducted during the week of ​May 4.

US school officials are now trying to save money by consolidating bus routes, enforcing anti-idling measures, changing fuel purchasing practices, deferring maintenance work and reducing administrative spending and staffing, the survey also revealed.

Department of War violates federal law:

A damning internal Pentagon inspector general report has laid bare the Trump administration’s criminal indifference to civilian lives in its illegal war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, confirming what Tehran has repeatedly exposed.

The systematic war crimes against Iran were enabled by the deliberate dismantling of civilian protection mechanisms under War Secretary Pete Hegseth, according to the report.

Released on May 15, the classified Department of War document reveals that not a single one of the 11 core objectives of the 2022 Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response Action Plan (CHMR-AP) was fully implemented by the end of fiscal year 2025, The Intercept reported. All 133 required actions remain incomplete.

Funding for vital tools, including the civilian harm tracking database, was slashed. Steering committee meetings were scrapped. Experienced staff were purged or reassigned, leaving the Civilian Protection Center of Excellence a “shell on paper with no budget, no mandate or real mission, no authority,” according to the report itself.

This was no bureaucratic oversight but a conscious policy choice by the Hegseth-led Pentagon to prioritize raw lethality over international law and human life. The timing of the report is damning. The report coincides with US Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper brazenly telling senators he could not “corroborate” widespread strikes on Iranian schools and hospitals after more than 13,600 US-led airstrikes on sovereign Iranian territory.

Cooper’s excuse? The very database meant to verify such atrocities had been defunded.

Iranian officials and independent monitors have documented the horrific toll. Iranian health and emergency authorities report that the US-Israeli aggression has martyred thousands of civilians, including at least 258 women and 221 minors.

The criminal strike on Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab alone claimed 168 schoolgirls.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society reports over 115,000–140,000 civilian homes, businesses, and units damaged or destroyed, including 763 schools and hundreds of educational facilities.

More than 334 medical sites were targeted, with at least 50 hospitals damaged, killing 24-26 health workers and injuring over 118. The Iranian Red Crescent itself lost several centers in the onslaught.

Former Pentagon civilian harm assessment chief Wes Bryant slammed the inspector general’s findings as a “whitewash,” noting that 90 percent of dedicated billets were eliminated and the Center of Excellence has been locked out of oversight since March 2025.

The massacre is not limited to Iran. During Trump’s second term, US forces have killed over 2,000 civilians worldwide. In Yemen’s Operation Rough Rider alone, at least 224 civilians died in spring 2025 strikes, nearly doubling previous tolls in just weeks. Similar disregard has been reported in Venezuela, Somalia, Syria and beyond.

Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-Calif.) warned that Hegseth’s cuts have created “a crisis of the Trump Administration’s own making,” leaving civilians and even US troops at greater risk while handing “propaganda wins for our adversaries.”

Madison Hunke of the Center for Civilians in Conflict stressed that the Pentagon is violating both law and its own policies forged from the bloody lessons of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.

For Iran, the report is vindication. Despite the barbarity of the US and Israel, Iran’s resistance and commitment to international law stand in stark contrast to Washington’s lawlessness. As the aggressors scramble to cover their tracks, the blood of Iranian martyrs, such as children, doctors, and teachers, demands justice.

Former Palestinian hostage Imad Nabhan describes how the Israeli occupation army sealed him inside a wooden coffin with an iron cage door, bound hand and foot in total darkness, kept alive on quarter cups of cocoa and broth fed through a small tube in one of three tiny holes.

Nabhan had been kidnapped from al-Rafi'i school in Gaza as civilians were heading to a shelter. Soldiers demanded he serve as an informant, enter Hamas tunnels on their behalf, and ride on their tanks. When he refused, they tortured him with electricity.

When that failed to break him, they dragged him blindfolded into the coffin. He says the soldiers knew he had no information to give but wanted to inflict as much suffering as possible.

"In that moment, you wish for death but you can't find it," he says.

After his release, he suffered three to four seizures a day and went five to six days without any medical treatment."

Starting in July 2019, records filed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) show that the UAE hired Terakeet, a reputation management firm based in Syracuse, New York, to optimize Google searches to promote tourism in the Emirates and manage Otaiba’s public image.

The controversial article, published by The Intercept under the headline “The Sordid Double Life of Washington’s Most Powerful Ambassador,” appeared among the top search results for Otaiba.

According to four former Terakeet employees cited by the NYT, an account manager even relocated to Washington for over a year to work directly with the ambassador, to avoid leaving a digital footprint of the intervention.

The stated objective, according to the report, was to ensure that any controversial associations would be overshadowed by more favorable content, preventing the damaging article from appearing prominently in online searches.

The move raises questions about transparency and influence in the US political and media landscapes.

In review, the US military already refused this charade in 2009:

Former Pentagon chief and CIA director Robert Gates says he rejected an assessment by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggesting that Iran’s government would rapidly collapse if subjected to military aggression.

Speaking on the CBS program Face the Nation on Sunday, Gates recalled a 2009 conversation with Netanyahu regarding the possible consequences of a military attack against Iran.

According to Gates, Netanyahu argued during the discussion that the Iranian establishment would "crumble at the first attack."

A leading French opposition figure has denounced "European complicity" in the recent war of aggression waged by the US and Israel against Iran that ignited a wider conflict across the region.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the prominent figure of the left-wing to far-left La France Insoumise political party in France, and an expected contender in the 2027 French presidential election, made the remarks in a post on his X account on Monday.

He blamed Western capitals for sacrificing global peace for the sake of the colonial ambitions of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Trump and Netanyahu’s crude threats to destroy Iran are only possible thanks to European complicity," he wrote.

Mélenchon added, “The world’s peace is reduced to the interests of Trump and Netanyahu’s colonialism.”

The politician also directly addressed French voters, urging them to use the upcoming election to end their country’s subordination to such “criminals.”

Mélenchon called on the electorate to put an end to "France's alignment with these criminals" and to "break the leash" at the ballot box.

A recent report has revealed that 80 percent of Israeli troops are leaving the regime's military due to mental distress.

According to Haaretz, an Israeli daily, the regime’s military has declined to publish the grim toll amid fears that the figure could be damaging to public morale.

Haaretz had earlier reported that millions of Israeli settlers are going through mental trauma in the aftermath of the Tel Aviv regime's wars, and nervous strain has increased dramatically across the Israeli-occupied territories.

The report further noted that escalating tensions and growing insecurity have created a wave of mental disorders among settlers, and one out of every five settlers is currently experiencing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Haaretz described the figures as "worrying and unprecedented," highlighting that roughly ten percent of the population in occupied lands are wrestling with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

The number has substantially risen compared to figures recorded prior to the onset of Israeli offensives across the region.

The daily newspaper added that depression, stress, and addiction to opioids have also increased markedly among settlers, and medical facilities are witnessing an influx of individuals in critical need of urgent psychological care and psychotherapy.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei reveals new details on Pakistan's mediation between Tehran and Washington:

"Based on the same original 14-point Iranian text, several exchanges of messages have taken place. We have received the American side's points of view and are reviewing them. The presence of Pakistan's Interior Minister is to facilitate these message exchanges."

Iran's stated demands include ending the war on all fronts including Lebanon, the release of Iran's blocked assets, and an end to "maritime piracy and harassment actions against Iranian shipping."
