Secondly, their main and constant benediction to one another is peace. It's not a trivial saying. It's an actual state of being. As an outsider, I can say to any of them:

As salat aleikum (peace be upon you)

To which they must tell me:

Wu'aleikum as salat (peace be upon you as well)
I'm wearing a shirt with a peace sign on it right now. It is literally upon me. My favorite shirt

I remember thinking about this before, how they have to reply, used to seem stupid to me but now it makes sense. If they don't reply.. then it's time to be worried. I kind of wish we had some kind of early warning system like that going on.

That's right. The first impression of something like that might seem trivial. It's not.

Let's see. We just attacked Iran, again, while activating a network of surveillance cameras, for purposes beyond our control. It literally is Anti-Christ.

    But that's ok because it's a "problem"?

We have a huge gaping hole where that peaceful welcoming ought to be.

The next thing that comes to attention is very prominent to me. There are a couple of things that pay almost no attention to afterlife, Judaism and Christianity. On the other hand, there are things that do focus on afterlife, Zoroastrianism and Islam.

What this means is you take into consideration decisions being made at this very moment. It determines your fate.

And so, I think, this is one of the Hadiths:

It is better that you forgive the debt.

This "better" is interpreted as meaning "or you'll probably go to hell."

This is an operative, motivating principle, and then you would know at some level, canceling your debt may help you.

As an outsider, if I ignore their theology, it is a lot easier to deal with on a human level. I am able to agree that there are ways to be and how to treat people or not, or you'll go to hell. Usually works like a compass.

I think I've already been to some form of Hell. I believe people make their own "Hell", and it is in fact here on Earth. I don't believe in any everlasting torture or anything like that because that's just too cruel.

What was it like? Well it was very personal. There were many Hells. In one of them I couldn't talk or think anymore, only with short words three letters or less. In another one it was like something was wrong with the lights, and they were all looking at me. In yet another one, I saw faces and words everywhere. There was another where sounds would repeat every time I heard them, and my head just filled with clutter. I remember thinking "this is so cruel" and somehow I zapped out of it same as with the other ones.

I've noticed not many people pay attention to the afterlife.. at least in my circle anyways. I wonder how my folks are doing, wherever they are.

What do I expect to happen in the afterlife? Honestly, I am hoping for nothing! What keeps being implied in my head though, is that I am going to reincarnate as some kind of alien. I really do not want that. I don't want to be a ghost, or an alien, or a God. I just want a nice rest, and just like my mother said, NOT to have to reincarnate back HERE again.

What you are describing is more akin to the Ghost Realm.

Hell is unstoppable agony caused by extremes of heat or cold.

Not everlasting, but proportionate to the crime. When you betray a country and use its resources to commit genocide, that amounts to the highest form of crime, so, we have some real winners in the works.

As I posted, here, one of our prime missions is to close the door, which doesn't happen by labeling Muslims (or anyone) as "evil", or whatever other garbage can be dredged from the depths of a depraved mind that does this.

The posting was in the process of attempting to ply my heart strings for sympathy, whereas the inflexible answer is the United States must be stopped.

They have been dumping hell on earth for almost eighty years, is the world's number one source of chaos and violence. This is by self-justified plan. No amount of prayer is going to wash it away.

Mother said it had to get worse before it gets better. She called it "evil's last stand" and it's starting to finally make sense..

I remember killing a spiders nest in my house before. All those baby spiders.. smothered in Raid. I recall thinking at the time "This is what Hitler must have felt like"

I feel bad for the States, I feel bad for Hitler too. It reminds me of the song "Sympathy for the Devil". I think they were talking about Lucifer in that song.. and I feel bad for him/it too!

The highest form of crime, in my mind, is the "hypnosis". Many here would disagree. I was taught that it was a "crime against the spirit" and following my recent dealings with the thing known as Satan, I don't think hypnosis should even exist. Same applies to "thought forms", these are things that just do not belong here and have been orchestrated from the very beginnings of time to aid in our own destruction.

Every moment spent in the presence of another person (or act of communication) is hypnosis.

Because they are such low quality, then, yes, it is a type of crime, or at least a psychic assault, when you are exposed to it.

What can be changed is the nature of the message/communication/act, not the subliminal flow.

In my example, I have visited churches of most denominations, Catholic, Anglican, various Protestants. I don't like them. I won't be back.

With a little study, upon finding out that Christianity is really Orthodoxy, I went to see what that was about. I went several times. Because it's very different. It actually is uplifting. I've not found anyone else to pay attention to this. They believe whatever false thing they believe is Christianity, whereas it's actually not.

Catholic confession is a particularly insidious surrender of one's will to some guy in a box.

Orthodoxy has something the fakers don't. That doesn't mean I agree with their theology, it means the service is healthy.

Concerning this thread, again, for me, it has been an eye-opening experience. How can someone be on the same website for ten years with thousands of posts like "Mike" and we don't even know who they are?

Because they spent all that time posting in things we weren't interested in and didn't look.

So, I observed, kind of from the outside, that "Q" had shattered the forum, caused all these polemics and arguments and anger, and I didn't know what it was, since it's just a scrap of paper that looks like second-grade drivel. But, I guess, thanks to hypnosis, it grew in power.

This second time around, I guess they were "flushed out" of that hidey hole, and started posting things more openly, different kinds of bait to try to reel you in. And so I start finding this guy, and several others doing all this stuff that appears to be the opposite of the forum's intent.

Look at everything this guy started in this sub-forum. The previous one was Oikophobes. I don't need some psychologist to make up a name to denigrate me and have someone come online and "can't understand" it and file me or us as lesser beings.

And that's almost the whole story we're dealing with; this crowd makes up names for things they don't understand, "other" it, and turn it into the new witch hunt. That's how the whole political party works; it's what they are doing; name calling. From time immemorial to today.

This thread was made by someone who didn't understand what they were doing, and, I am just reacting defensively. I mean, if you want to go believe in some Anti-Christ religion, that's fine, as long as it is confined to your opinion; when it turns into laws that affect us, and military and ICE abuse and murder, no deal.

You get it! That's why innuendo is considered a weapon. When I said innuendo was a weapon to the stuff in my imagination, something replied with "YOUR TURN" as if it wanted me to take a turn at some kind of "find the weapon" game it was playing.

Words can generate feelings, and we can all feel how powerful those are.

Makes me worry about talking at all to be honest. I've hurt people's feelings unintentionally before and that just makes ME feel terrible. My dad was really quiet and maybe that was why. I have trouble to remember any words he said to me, ever.

...I have trouble to remember any words he said to me, ever.

    Presto.

For the most part, anyone I ever knew is going to forget what I said, and remember how it made them feel.

If that is next to nothing, then the memory is as well.

Dispose of the words, just make sounds, mixed with feelings, like a baby. The brain thinks we are adults, etc., but the heart knows we are still the same.

And so I can cuss my animals slap the f*ck out and insult them in the most derogatory ways that would make any person freak, but, because I do it in the same friendly welcoming way, they like it.

On the other hand, people are easy to set off:

Quote Makes me worry about talking at all to be honest. I've hurt people's feelings unintentionally before and that just makes ME feel terrible.

I have to juggle this, because that is the way it should be, and then there are human psyches I will eagerly crush. The difference is Civilization vs. uncivilized. If the basis of civilization is as expressed in the Peace of Westphalia and the UN Charter, the United States is highly uncivilized. Most everywhere I go, that is what I find. It certainly doesn't care how you feel. Or it will lie to your face about it for money.

That whole way of being is absolutely wrong before it takes a single step.

If what I am trying to do is work with a bundle of good feelings, and, that is sensitive and difficult enough because we're not perfect, I have zero tolerance for something interfering with it. I can let someone go to a funny church, on private property, and be confident their thougtforms are too weak to affect me. But if it gets out, if it becomes anything transpiring in public, I won't take it.

We can only go two directions, up or down.

That's basically it. Awareness of feeling that is pretty much the same for a dog, a baby, a speaker of another language, is our moment-to-moment creation of our own heaven or hell. When you inoculate yourself against intentionally spreading misery and do so, you send yourself straight to hell, like a rock follows gravity.

If it's a bit ignorant or accidental, the less severe the hell, but our news is filled with highly-crafted abuse of every kind that is clearly rampant and won't be going away on its own. Their torment will be for Eons.

It's sad but so be it. Response to the sorcery employed in those circles is that it turns out to be quite weak. And I had planned on using this year to get out of the political yowling and focus on Buddhism and similar topics, but then there are things like this thread and 2026 becomes the new most villainous era of all times, performed by none other than my own system, which hates me.

This thing was the closest I've ever come to an ad hominem, because I never say anything about "you", I don't know anybody, I just respond to what is thought or said in public posts. We went through this "if...then" thing, and, if this is what you think, you are a Fascist. And if someone agrees with that, I haven't imposed anything. Just clarified the point.

That makes us natural enemies, of which, I suppose I have countless millions, but it's not negotiable.

The last political speech I watched was when Bush was making excuses for attacking Iraq. I saw this room full of stuffed suits in a trance, riveted on the flow of excrement from the human mouth, and even applauding it. I think it may have been the sickest thing I have ever seen, because I don't watch that stuff, but it proved itself to be absence of soul. A weaker personality would, I suppose, be entrapped.

So, yes, you can look at Obama particularly had an edge of rhythm and gestures that reinforce the auto-suggestions he was making. It could be called a talent. I do basically the same thing, and the difference is in our motives.

I would rather live simply and be left alone by all that...stuff...but I don't know where you can do that. Again sad because the United States, was, at least originally, a haven for those seeking relief from terrible circumstances. It's inverted. How to escape it? I'm too poor to have a clue.

"We can only go two directions, up or down" really spoke to me. I think a lot of the time, I can't handle my own feelings. I remember seeing a dog in a hot car before, and I started to get mad. I couldn't handle it. I left it alone because it was none of my business. I didn't get involved, and sometimes I think I should have.

I tend to not involve myself in much, and I'm really just sitting around watching the world get worse. And waiting.. for something, anything, to happen.

I imagine how all those Muslim's must feel, waiting for some kind of magical sounding Judgement Day that never seems to happen. It sounds both good and bad to me.

I feel as if I have already been judged, I thought the things in my head were going to have to kill me but they let me live and I am grateful. I realize it happened in my imagination but was pretty real to me! Now I am just trying to relax and take things as they come.

I am NOT political whatsoever I am just a peace loving hippie that wants everyone to get along. But then I get talking to people on here, and I wonder should I be praying for War and not Peace? I really think our prayers matter.

Instead of that I started praying for understanding and I think I am starting to understand! It's a miracle

Talking here on PA, especially here in this thread is like free therapy for me to be honest. Thanks for listening and I am sorry the thread got out of hand before. I wish we didn't have to turn people away from the forum.. we should all have the same goal at least I'd like to think so.

    Give yourself some credit.

You're going through a bunch of jitters that make understanding difficult. But that's in terms of complex outer things. You have the most important basic kind, which is the only way to make the first step forward.

It will be on a bridge that is made of a razor's edge, where it's a lot more reliable to go slowly.

To seek war is madness, but to not defend is suicide.

When the feelings of other are considered -- and this is the basic meaning of Westphalia -- and the process of working it out better is therapy, it may be worth considering that most likely, Jesus was among the Therapeutae. Physical healing is only minorly symbolic of the inner kind that must be self-generated. On this, there is no real contradiction between Jesus, Islam, and Buddhism. If those are our priorities, it means we consider the consequences of our thoughts and actions, because they condition the afterlife, which is basically ignored in mainstream religions.

I'm going to go get pulled down by everything, and try to not let it affect me and not lash out in anger at the wrong targets. Sadly, this is normal in the west, but would not be such a burden in the domains just mentioned.

That's the crux of my ethos.

Buddhism does not quite say you have to be vegetarian, it says abstain from killing living beings.

Therefor, the Bhutanese are not able to fish their own rivers, and Indians sit across the border and catch them and sell them to the Bhutanese who eat them.

So, martial arts is not a sport, it is the capability to kill.

Not all martial arts are Buddhist, not all Buddhists do martial arts, but Shaolin Monastery must be one of the most famous examples of them all. It actually is like a big umbrella with respect to Asia.

I've never killed anyone, but, this is a very violent world, and you might have to. Becoming a Buddhist does not affect your karma much. And anything else you read is going to tell you not to kill anyway. The answer is that the state of a Buddha is not in Conventional Reality. Everyone already generally agrees that killing is to be avoided, so, this is not a profound teaching at all. Or, there is not even anything more to say about it.

What it translates to on a personal level, is, I've never killed anyone, but I have protected several.

Want to know who I last fought?

    Two pit bulls.

I was in the front yard one day, when, I think we had two dogs of small size. Someone moved in to the house next door, which was unusually close, because these were originally father and son places and we still had the original 1938 asbestos siding. These people got some pit bulls, and one of them was usually staked, and the other had a house or small pen or something.

My little dog is trying to play, he doesn't know what a fight is. And he has a tendency to go over where the one on the chain is able to reach.

Fortunately I happened to be standing there when I saw the one from the house has gotten loose, and he's chasing my little dog around the yard. And I saw it and it did not look playful and I intuitively sensed he was going to kite my dog over to the chained one, and, that's exactly what happened and it's just because I have this killer instinct that I was already on the way over. And it was true, they started to maul him and I had to fight them both and keep yelling at my dog to run away because I don't know if he's shocked out of his senses or they broke his leg or something, and if nothing happens I'm giving these pits a matter of seconds before I break their necks.

Around that point he got up and scrammed, and, they backed down. I would have killed them both immediately.

So far, no person has pushed me to that point, but if they do, the answer is the same.

The Indian epic Mahabharata is this same question. And it is probably among the world's best pieces of literature, if not the best. Taken as historical fiction based on actual events, but not "true" in any objective way. It's not about Krishna and Arjuna. It is all about soul and the difference of heaven and hell. The Iliad and Odyssey would disappear together in it. In this culture, we don't even have an epic.

I personally focus Confession and Purification, and I haven't done anything to anyone, so it is mostly to clean that stuff out of my mind.

Wow. I hope no one ever does push you to that point!

I've had a couple of dreams of being a killer. I was a little boy in both dreams, but I was killing for FUN! It was so disturbing.

I had another dream of being a slave, I wasn't my self then either. I was brown. Someone else killed my master I remember thinking IM FREE. I was so grateful but I remember thinking also, why couldn't I have been the one that killed him? I had a huge Faith in God and I didnt really believe in killing so thats probably why. I hate slavery so much

That dream is a little disturbing.

It's true. Most of our social problems are because boys are raised differently.

You are taught war as a game. Then you are taught your value is competition, that you have to be stronger and smarter than someone else, to take their piece of the pie, and tough luck to the loser.

To the extent I got sucked into that, fortunately, it was mostly about bugs. I might have smashed a lot of small stuff just because it was there. This was self-correcting because one day, I watched a friend pick up a turtle and throw it as high in the air as he could, so it would go splat on the street. He thought it was funny. I was mortified.

This thread is like that. It started after an event. It was a massacre of Jews in Australia. I came on and found it posted as a normal article in a running thread as usual. And I look over here, and the same event has been turned into a universal threat that I need to react against, which is beginner-level Fascist propaganda at its plainest. Everyone knows that. All these aggressive political regimes are based on calling something a threat and inducing a response. My only response is I'll decide what's a threat for myself. Therefor I can't share or be under the same government with someone who says Islam, Iran, etc., is an existential threat. I don't have existential or born enemies. They produce themselves by what they do. It's happened more than once this week.

Unless there is a need to review why this thread was disputable, we'd be better off posting in something else. It's true that usually multiple subjects are tangential and something isn't going to specifically cling to the title, but this one is just a good example of a bad example.
