A suspected associate of Epstein has been found dead in France. The cause of death has not been disclosed, according to the BFMTV television channel.

Siad, a 69-year-old Algerian national who also held Swedish citizenship, was known as a model agent. However, in 2026, the French television company France Televisions published an investigation alleging that Siad had hired at least four French women for Epstein. One of them claimed to have been subjected to sexual slavery for several years.

Suspected Epstein accomplice Daniel Siad found dead in France
Daniel Siad, a French-Swedish modelling scout with close ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead at his home in a Paris suburb, prosecutors and his lawyer confirmed Wednesday.

Siad, 69, was among several French men accused of helping Epstein traffic and abuse women. He was found dead in Colombes on Monday. The Nanterre prosecutor's office said an investigation was opened that evening to determine the cause of death, with an autopsy planned as part of the probe.

French investigators had been looking into Siad over allegations including rape and human trafficking, though he had not yet been questioned. He had denied the allegations and said he wanted the chance to give his account.

His lawyer, Menya Arab-Tigrine, told AFP that "he is dead and he was innocent." She added that if he did die of a heart attack, the constant pressure and anxiety he had been under likely played a role.

Documents, past statements

Siad's name reportedly appears in more than 1,000 documents released as part of the declassified Epstein files. In a 2014 email to Epstein, he described his recruitment work in casual terms, comparing it to fishing, sometimes successful and sometimes not, and maintained that Epstein had exploited his trust.

Several women have accused Siad of recruiting them for Epstein. A former French model, identified only as Juliette G. to protect her privacy, said she was introduced to Epstein through Siad in 2004 and viewed him as a potential source of answers about what happened.

Former Swedish model Ebba Karlsson, who filed the first complaint against Siad in February accusing him of rape when she was 20, told AFP that the case had been close to resulting in his arrest and expressed frustration that justice would no longer be possible through him. Karlsson has also linked Siad to Gerald Marie, former European head of the Elite modelling agency, who faces separate rape and trafficking accusations from multiple women and has denied wrongdoing.

Lisa Brinkworth, a former BBC journalist and co-founder of a support collective for modeling industry abuse victims, said the Paris prosecutor's office had known Siad was closely tied to Epstein and facing serious allegations, and criticized the lack of action against him. She called for prosecutors to investigate other individuals connected to Epstein facing similar accusations.

Another death in mysterious circumstances

Siad's death follows a familiar pattern among men linked to Epstein's network. French authorities arrested modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel in 2020 over allegations that he had procured women for Epstein. Brunel was later found dead in his cell at La Sante prison in Paris in February 2022, a death French authorities classified as suicide.

Epstein himself died in prison in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. He was found unresponsive in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, and his death was also ruled a suicide. Subsequent reporting and government reviews pointed to lapses in overnight supervision before he was discovered during a morning check.

THE CLEARANCE: What Bill Gates’s “Q” Access Authorization Was Actually For — And Who Was Working It

Everyone has the Bill Gates "Q clearance" story backwards. It isn't biosecurity. It's nuclear — and the nuclear venture behind it was being worked by Jeffrey Epstein for four years before it was granted.

This article is part of the Epstein Files Investigation Series.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

- The clearance is nuclear, not biological — and almost everyone reporting it has this backwards. On July 29, 2026, Senator Rand Paul entered into the Senate record a Department of Energy letter confirming that Bill Gates held a DOE “Q” access authorization from June 11, 2014 to December 6, 2021. A Q is an Atomic Energy Act instrument. It governs Restricted Data — nuclear weapons design, production, and special nuclear material. It is not a biosecurity credential, and classified biodefense work does not run through it. Coverage pairing the clearance with Fauci, DARPA, and vaccines is wrong on the technical facts.

- The correct explanation is TerraPower — and TerraPower is in the Epstein files. Gates founded and chairs the advanced reactor company, whose R&D partnerships include Idaho National Laboratory, Los Alamos, and the Y-12 National Security Complex. That is a sufficient predicate for a Q. It is also the venture Jeffrey Epstein was working, through Gates’s own science advisor Boris Nikolic, across at least four sovereign channels between 2010 and 2013.

- “Reciprocally granted” is the most important phrase. DOE’s letter states the clearance “was reciprocally granted.” Under DOE policy, reciprocity requires a current final Top Secret clearance issued by another federal agency, on an investigation completed within the prior five years. That places an originating full-field background investigation, conducted by an agency DOE does not name, no earlier than approximately mid-2009 — and the entire Epstein nuclear brokerage record falls inside that window.

- Five weeks in late 2010 are the spine. Between November 5 and December 14, 2010, Epstein passed the sitting chairman of the UK Atomic Energy Authority to the CEO of TerraPower’s parent company; told Nikolic he had spoken with the rulers of Abu Dhabi and Dubai about nuclear power and that there were “many ways you can be helpful to Bills goals in this area”; received Nikolic’s report of a three-person private dinner with the Director of DARPA and Bill Gates; noted that the president of Senegal’s son was “also very interested in nuclear power”; and asked Nikolic to arrange the DARPA director for New York.

- The vetting question, not the access question, is the one for oversight. A Q carries continuing evaluation obligations. Gates’s ran through the arrest, death, and worldwide reporting on his relationship with Epstein in 2019, and terminated in December 2021. Whether any of the foregoing surfaced in an SF-86, a periodic reinvestigation, or continuous vetting is answerable — and unanswered.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO READERS

This is a documentary investigation. Every factual claim is anchored to a primary source — a released federal record with a Bates identifier, a document entered into the Congressional Record, or a published government policy. Where a conclusion is inferred rather than established, it is labeled as inference. Where another journalist reported a document first, that credit is given in the endnotes.

Nothing here alleges that Bill Gates knew what Jeffrey Epstein was doing on behalf of his nuclear venture, that Gates accessed any classified material, or that any government official acted improperly. A security clearance confers eligibility subject to need-to-know; it does not establish that anything was read. The question this piece raises is narrower and, I think, more serious: whether the federal personnel security system that cleared him ever saw the record that has now been public for eight months.

I. What a Q Clearance Is, and What It Is Not

On July 29, 2026, during a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing at which Dr. Anthony Fauci repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, Chairman Rand Paul asked unanimous consent to enter a Department of Energy letter into the record. The letter, dated June 30, 2026, confirmed that “Mr. Gates’ DOE Q security clearance was reciprocally granted on June 11, 2014, and subsequently terminated on December 6, 2021.”¹ Two days later Paul released the document publicly as part of a 1,375-page package.²

The letter asked the Committee to keep the information confidential and “not for public release.”³ Paul published it anyway.

Within seventy-two hours the story was everywhere in the alternative press, and everywhere it was framed the same way: Gates held Top Secret access during the pandemic, alongside Fauci, adjacent to DARPA. That framing is wrong, and it is the kind of wrong that gets an entire body of work dismissed.

A DOE “Q” access authorization is an instrument of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954. Under 10 C.F.R. § 1016.3, it is granted on the basis of a full field investigation and permits access, on a need-to-know basis, to Top Secret, Secret, and Confidential Restricted Data, Formerly Restricted Data, National Security Information, and special nuclear material in Category I or II quantities.⁴ Restricted Data is a defined statutory category covering the design, manufacture, and use of atomic weapons and the production of special nuclear material.

It is a nuclear credential. Classified biological defense work — at DARPA, at BARDA, at USAMRIID, in the intelligence community — is administered through Department of Defense and IC channels, not through DOE Q. A Q tells you nothing about biosecurity access.

It also does not establish that Gates saw anything. Q confers eligibility; access requires a separate need-to-know determination for each compartment of information. The DOE letter establishes eligibility and dates. Nothing more.

The mundane explanation is the correct one. Gates founded TerraPower in 2006 and chairs its board. TerraPower has documented research and development partnerships with Idaho National Laboratory, Argonne, Los Alamos, and the Y-12 National Security Complex — the last two being nuclear weapons design and production facilities.⁵ On October 23, 2013, Gates personally toured the Materials and Fuels Complex at Idaho National Laboratory; INL’s press release the following day stated that TerraPower had engaged the lab to support design work on its traveling wave reactor.⁶ That is seven and a half months before the Q was granted. The predicate is well established, and it is nuclear.

Which is precisely why it matters.

That photograph — the one the Telegraph called “by-now familiar” in March 2011 — would, over the following decade, become one of the most-reproduced images in the global press: Prince Andrew with his arm around the waist of Virginia Giuffre, then seventeen, with Ghislaine Maxwell visible behind them. Giuffre would later allege that on the night the photograph was taken, she was trafficked to Andrew. Andrew denied the allegation. Giuffre settled a civil suit against him in 2022. She died in April 2025.

In March 2011, all of this was already on the public record in the Telegraph. The flight to a British military airfield, the Royal visit, the photograph, the seventeen-year-old, the “alleged masseuse” framing. None of it was secret. It ran on Friday, March 11, 2011, in one of the United Kingdom’s largest national newspapers.

The investigation that should have followed did not follow.

Andrew remained Trade Envoy until July 2011. Epstein’s federal carrier authority was renewed in October 2011. The story, as a story, was deflected with sympathetic op-eds — Daily Telegraph columnist Dominic Lawson published “I stayed at Epstein’s so don’t hound Andrew” on March 13, two days after the Stanford piece — and the news cycle ended.

That is what Gordon Brown is now asking British police to undo.

III. The response apparatus
What was happening inside the Epstein network during these days is what the federal record now makes visible.

The story Stanford published on March 11 had been forecast to the network on March 9.

Who knew the story was coming. Sitrick’s office. Epstein. Gmax — whose email handle, timing, and substantive engagement with a story about Maxwell’s role on the aircraft point to one identification.[10] Larry — Larry Visoski, Epstein’s Chief Pilot — who two months earlier had written to US Customs and Border Protection in Newark acknowledging in writing that “the owner of the Aircraft is a registered sex offender and is sometimes subject to enhanced scrutiny.”[11]

Top Wall Street banks helped Epstein move billions – report

Democrats have accused three banks of helping the notorious pedophile “hide in plain sight”

Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Bank of America all helped Jeffrey Epstein make more than $1 billion in suspicious transfers, including payments to trafficked eastern European women, according to a report by Democrats on the US Senate Finance Committee.

According to the report, more than a dozen bankers at the three Wall Street firms were aware of suspicious transfers made by Epstein as far back as 2002, but the banks failed to report these transactions until years later, after Epstein had been arrested and charged with sex trafficking.

Epstein was a client of JPMorgan between 1998 and 2013, during which time he made 5,000 suspicious transfers totaling $1.1 billion, according to the report. Although JPMorgan dropped Epstein as a client in 2013, five years after his first child sex abuse conviction, the bank waited until after his arrest and death in prison in 2019 to retroactively flag these transactions with the US Treasury Department.

The Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) filed by JPMorgan included payments to women in Russia, Belarus, and Turkmenistan, to women who had “been in a relationship with Epstein,” or were “procurers of women as part of trafficking.”

JPMorgan’s compliance executives lobbied their superiors to cut ties with Epstein since at least 2010, with one calling him “scum.” However, senior executives – who, according to the report, knew about Epstein’s payments to trafficked women and joked about his penchant for “nymphettes” – overruled them, and kept the convicted pedophile as a client until 2013.

Deutsche Bank was also aware of suspicious transfers by Epstein, but only submitted SARs to the Treasury until 2019. Epstein transferred most of his assets to Deutsche Bank after he was booted by JPMorgan, and between 2013 and 2019, made 1,140 suspicious transfers, according to the report.

Bank of America failed to report $170 million in payments from billionaire Leon Black, who claimed he paid the pedophile for tax advice. Much of Black’s money ended up financing Epstein’s sex trafficking operation in the US Virgin Islands, and although the bank determined that these payments had “no apparent economic, business or lawful purpose,” it did not file SARs until 2020.

Under the Bank Secrecy Act, banks are required to promptly notify the government whenever they suspect money is being laundered or used to finance illegal activities. “The bankers who needed to be asking questions didn’t ask them,” the report states. “Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes were hiding in plain sight.”

According to Senator Ron Wyden, the Finance Committee’s ranking Democrat, President Donald Trump’s allies attempted to prevent the committee from obtaining Epstein’s bank records. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent allegedly refused three requests to turn over details on the SARs, while Senate Republicans blocked a bill that would have compelled the Treasury to hand over the files.
