Musk is thinking like a capitalist (needs an ever-increasing market) and a white supremacist (unconsciously because I do not think he is consciously a racist). But perhaps he is simply in that mode of thinking because he has handed over test tubes filled with his seed to more women to have his babies! (One man with many women and children is actually one of the characteristics of traditional black communities in his home country!)

There are more than enough people on the planet, and the world population is actually increasing. Untapped human potential is huge.

What we need is to maximize the potential of more people, irrespective of race or nationality. Education systems are inadequate, ignorance and dumbing down are flourishing in a consumer-driven world of entertainment and distraction, countries are spending billions on control and destruction systems (competition wins over co-operation), and the greed of the wealthy is out of control.

Yet, I have optimism. Humans have survived and thrived on this planet by learning and adapting and correcting course when a choice threatens the survival and thriving of all. But, the longer it takes for visionary leaders to emerge, the more death and destruction and enslavement there will be.

I know there are ardent cheerleaders of Trump here at PA who do not see that he is a metaphor for the problem and not the solution. But maybe the time of great leaders is in the past and it is communities who must take responsibility for the building work required and the changes required for all humans on the planet to flourish and make a great leap forward in civilization.

One very central reason that men want to father many children is often not understood or taken into consideration in discussions about population numbers ( that reason possibly being it's too esoteric a concept for most).
Men often unconsciously believe that having many children with their same DNA will guarantee them many choices for what their own parentage will be in future incarnations, since souls make ongoing agreements with other souls to provide bodies and/or family situations for each other.
However, the important factor that seems to be overlooked is that just getting a body doesn't guarantee that any kind of supportive family situation will logically follow.
Simply providing sperm to fertizile an egg, or even providing financial support doesn't equate to the same thing as providing full parental support for a child as they grow to maturity.
And a man attempting to provide adequate parentage to a bunch of kids all at once is a lot more difficult than just providing that for one or two kids.
So Musk may have a lot of kids who have a DNA connection with him, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee that any of them will provide him with a body or a good, supportive family in his future incarnations.
Much will depend on just how much ongoing support as a father that he provides to one or more of them in this lifetime.
Being who he is, he may not consider any of that to be very important.
He may even think that as long as he has a high tech chip in his brain and a robot to serve him in the future, he will have it made. (NOT )
Just being a famous dad with a lot of money alone doesn't necessarily cut it.

    Social Engineering a Spiritual Death
    Greg Reese/The Reese Report

    (Video at the link)

"Experiments conducted at the National Institute of Mental Health by behavioral researcher, John B. Calhoun, began in 1947 with the Rockville “Rat Colony” experiment in which a quarter-acre outdoor enclosure was built to house wild Norway rats. The rats were protected from predators, had access to fresh air and sunlight, and were provided enough food, water, and nesting material for a population of five thousand. Up until the experiment was ended in 1951, the colony maintained a population of around two-hundred. The rats were all still behaving as natural healthy rats maintaining the same sort of violent equilibrium that they do in the wild.

During the “Rat Universe” experiment of 1958 to 1962, where the enclosure was indoors and built much smaller, John Calhoun coined the term, “behavioral sink,” as the phenomenon that occurs when rats become over-crowded, they begin to socially withdrawal, turn homosexual, and act more aggressive.

From 1968 to 1972 they ran the “Universe 25” experiment for mice. A 9-by-9-foot metal enclosure was constructed, built to hold about 3800 mice with unlimited food, water, and nesting supplies. The enclosure was climate controlled and none of the mice had to be concerned with predators or disease. “Universe 25” started with 4 breeding pairs of mice on July 9th, 1968, and during the first year, the mice thrived. The population doubled about every 2 months until it peaked on day 560, and for the next two years the population declined.

During this two year decline, the behavior of the mice changed. Alpha males who were initially dominant became passive and no longer defended their territory. Other males became hyper-aggressive and attacked without provocation. And many of the males fell into the category known as, “The Beautiful Ones.” These males exclusively spent their time alone, avoiding all social and sexual behavior. They obsessed over grooming themselves and appeared to be the most physically healthy. Overall, the males lost interest in having sex with females, and the females lost interest in being mothers. They began showing aggression toward their offspring, including killing and eating them. And their bodies began miscarrying.

Even though the population dropped and the living space increased, the mice did not recover. Calhoun interpreted the reason for this collapse to be the result of a “spiritual death,” which then directly led to a physical death.

He wrote that the first death is that of the spirit. Their spirit has died. They are no longer capable of executing the more complex behaviors compatible with species survival. Calhoun was saying that if you diminish a creature’s spirit, it will lose its survival instincts. He saw how this would effect life for humans, and said that the establishment would have to change in order to avoid social breakdown in crowded human environments.

“We need a better establishment to allow interrelationships, to protect us from too many contacts, but to allow us for those contact which we do engage in, to be more meaningful for our own lives and more meaningful to others in a compassionate sense of each of us being involved and helping the other to fulfill his role. We have many more roles, and this is where the notion of compassion comes in and is helping... each of us helping others to fulfill their program for development.”
    ~ John B. Calhoun
Studies have shown that people who live in large cities are less happy and have less meaningful lives than those who live in small towns. For many of us, it is no surprise to learn that living like pets in large crowded cities is unhealthy for humans. But for the establishment, it’s big business. Studies in China and the USA show that residents living in more populated areas spend more money and consume more products. This is because most social interactions become comparative and competitive, more about having the same things as your neighbors, and less about meaningful friendships.

The 15 minute cities will grow, but so will small community as many humans are learning to reject the establishment and take responsibility for their own lives."

    • UNSEEN: The Truth Behind Death Protocols:

    quote:

I am Richie Brown bearing witness to the darkest chapter of the Covid era.

In collaboration with investigative journalist Jacqui Deevoy, who produced the the haunting documentaries ‘A Good Death?’ (2021) and ‘Playing God’ (2024), I’m embarking on a mission to unveil the chilling truths about the NHS death protocols implemented and executed in UK hospitals and care homes from 2020. We will look into many suspicious and untimely deaths - often referred to collectively as The Midazolam Murders - and question the widespread use of deadly medications, the silent imposition of Do Not Resuscitate orders and the grim re-enactment of end of life protocols reminiscent of the abolished Liverpool Care Pathway.

In a race against time, we aim to capture the voices of those whose lives were forever changed and record their testimonies before ‘the powers that be’ succeed in silencing them and the people fighting for justice on their behalves.

Before the truth is buried beneath the sands of time, we will document the harrowing stories of those who can no longer speak for themselves.

    Default Re: The Depopulation Plan

    • Depopulation is being openly discussed: scientists call for a halving of the world population by 2200:

A recently published study in the journal Sustainable Development openly argues that the world population must be reduced to four billion or less by the year 2200. That is roughly half of the current 8.1 billion people. And the academics who wrote this present it as if it is the most logical step in the world.

    • What exactly the study claims
The researchers, including a scientist affiliated with the University of British Columbia, state that human population growth over the past century has led to biodiversity loss, climate change, and the depletion of natural resources. Their conclusion: if we want to save the planet, there simply must be fewer people on Earth. They present this as a “soft and just” reversal of population growth, to be achieved through birth control, broader access to abortion, and encouraging lower birth rates worldwide. The study aims for a reduction that should be noticeable within two generations. The authors cite the following benefits: restoration of natural habitats, fewer greenhouse gases, fewer conflicts over resources, and — ironically — less poverty. As if poverty is solved by reducing the poor rather than distributing wealth more fairly.
    • Nudge policy: the silent hand of policymakers
What is particularly telling is stated literally in the study itself: the authors hope to “nudge” policy with their work. That is technocratic jargon for steering behavior without people realizing it. No democratic debate, no referendum — just academic pressure on politicians to amend legislation that subtly pushes people toward having fewer children.
This is not a new phenomenon. Governments, international organizations, and major think tanks have been working for decades to normalize lower birth rates through subsidies on contraception, discourage family formation through economic pressure, and glorify childless life. The study now gives this policy a scientific veneer.

    • Abortion up to birth: more and more US states
In the United States, ten states have now gone so far as to legally permit abortion up to the moment of birth. Democratic politicians in several other states are actively lobbying for similar legislation. This stands in stark contrast to public opinion, which is predominantly opposed to abortion in the third trimester. The question arises as to what larger whole is taking shape here. Coincidence? Or part of a broader program driven from above by scientists, policymakers, and international institutions who believe that the earth is overpopulated?
    • The question that no one asks out loud
The richest people in the world possess enough wealth to solve global poverty multiple times over. Yet, poverty is cited in the study as an argument for population reduction. That is a line of reasoning that conveniently ignores the real causes of inequality. Meanwhile, people who want children are becoming increasingly economically trapped. House prices, the cost of living, an uncertain job market: young families face ever-higher hurdles.
    • It is said out loud
What was dismissed as conspiracy thinking for years now appears openly in a scientific journal. Academics are calling for a halving of the world population, governments are forcing religious care providers to participate in end-of-life care, and abortion rights are being extended to the day of birth. The depopulation study is not a warning for the future — it is a blueprint that is already being implemented. Whether you want to know it or not.

Given the system we find ourselves in, given the occulted truths as they are, given the denatured condition of man, I would concur with a halving of the world's human population.

My only question: can we afford to let a lottery (in whatever nefarious form TPTB decide that takes) determine which half?

otherwise, in my heart, I feel we need not worry, like, as if we are in charge of our decisions while here on earth in the first place - we are herded en masse without our being aware

The context: we hear about the negative agenda all the time but there is an equal and opposite force we rarely hear about at all
Hint: it usually whispers its intent in peace, without fear, in love of a higher order - its agenda assured, inviolate, and secure

Of course, such a force brings up uncomfortable implications that most may not want to hear. Perhaps that's why the whisper - because the shout can be barely heard over the reluctance of an arrogant and immature mind's chaotic cacophony.

Planet is not overpopulated ... we have eventually space missions going to other planets anyway ... vast part of Earth is NOT populated at all ... floating cities is the future ... Water covers about 71% of the Earth's surface, while land makes up the remaining 29% and of the 29% is already so big, so vast, people have no clue how big 29% of Earth surface really is, let alone the rest!

Mismanagement, suppressed inventions, 6467+ Secret US Patents creating an artificial scarcity & dependencies ... There IS NO OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM ... pure mismanagement + suppressed solutions!

But I'd strongly suggest that it really is. It's not about living space, it's about very finite resources (including oil and all its industrial products), the depletion of the quality of arable land everywhere (therefore requiring ever more chemical fertilizer), and the devastating, accelerating impact on the entire biosphere.

All this is out of our individual hands, but all the information shared on the thread The Possibility of Famine suggests (to me) that if there really will be a famine starting next year in many areas of the planet — because of the rapidly escalating oil spike crisis — all this is being planned at the highest levels.

Both Michael Yon and Chris Martenson have argued that all this is being engineered very deliberately. Incompetence and unawareness just doesn't seem to explain everything that the US is doing right now.

I am posting this long article in parts. If the US has a depopulation plan for that country, how are they going to depopulate the rest of the world? It is a Doomsday article for the US, but so much of what has happened especially in recent years and what is happening right now is explained by this article. And why is Musk panicking about falling birth rates?

Experience in many if not all countries show that a better standard of living for all, bringing down infant and child mortality, and empowering women naturally bring down the birth rate. Why must the solution chosen by politicians involve death and violence and control?

There is much that I find extremely distasteful about the depopulated dystopia a group of people are trying to bring about, but I do think that overcrowding is bad for the planet and for people.

    Editor’s Note:

Beneath a Virginia parking structure that appears on no municipal map, server racks hum with calculations that would fracture democratic faith. These machines do not predict elections or track criminals. They model submission. Specifically: how 340 million armed citizens will respond when asked—then told—to relinquish the means of their autonomy. The answer, refined across two decades of simulation, arrives cold: three percent will resist with force. The remainder will comply, negotiate, or simply surrender their agency to bureaucratic politeness.

What follows reconstructs methodology from procurement anomalies, whistleblower testimony, and the physical evidence of infrastructure built for purposes never publicly declared. The sources—career emergency management personnel, defense contractors, and systems analysts—occupied positions where compartmentalized knowledge fragments into recognizable patterns. Their accounts, cross-referenced against purchase orders and facility specifications, describe preparation not for disaster response but for demographic engineering at scale unprecedented in continental history.

This reconstruction employs no comfort. It offers no reassurance that competent authorities maintain vigilant oversight. Such authorities do not exist. What exists are optimization systems—bureaucratic, technical, logistical—evolving toward outcomes their component individuals neither designed nor desired. The reader is advised: the paragraphs ahead document not conspiracy but emergence. Not plan but pattern. Not future possibility but present infrastructure, humming in server rooms, awaiting only activation codes.

Enumerating the Herd: When Everything Became Countable
Procurement records beginning 2018 reveal acquisition patterns that rupture disaster-response justification. Federal emergency agencies obtained inventory management platforms of grotesque overcapacity—systems designed to track not organizational assets but external holdings: private property, individual possessions, biological markers.

    Consider documented acquisitions:

📊 Database Infrastructure: Platforms storing 400 million individual profiles with real-time asset updating. Official capacity claims: 50 million. Actual deployment: maximum saturation.

📊 Biometric Harvesting: Mobile units deployed to “testing sites” and “vaccination centers” capable of DNA extraction, retinal mapping, and fingerprint collection. Samples obtained: estimated 200 million. Consent documentation: fragmented, absent, or retroactively classified.

📊 Property Mapping: Satellite-drone integration achieving 94% coverage of continental landmass, cataloguing rural outbuildings, unregistered structures, and subterranean installations invisible to census protocols.

📊 Weapon Registration: Cross-referenced purchase records, licensing databases, and “voluntary” participation programs creating ownership maps of 78% known firearms. Unknown weapons: subject to separate estimation algorithms.

The enumeration extended beyond traditional state interest categories. Nutritional independence—gardens, livestock, preservation knowledge—entered assessment frameworks. Energy autonomy—solar installations, generators, fuel reserves—received quantification. Communication redundancy—ham frequencies, mesh networks, satellite redundancy—attracted monitoring.

Each category received risk-weighting. Gardens indicated supply-chain independence, hence reduced leverage vulnerability. Animal husbandry indicated survival knowledge outside institutional support. Preserved food indicated temporal horizon extension, hence reduced urgency response to manufactured shortage.

Bureaucratic vision, once established, recognizes no public-private distinction, no constitutional friction, no operational boundary. Everything becomes countable. Everyone becomes entry.

Breaking the Three Percent: Why Calculated Resistance Fails
Historical disarmament analysis—Weimar Germany, Soviet collectivization, Australian 1996 program—reveals consistent patterns. Initial resistance registers 15-30% of affected populations. Through graduated pressure—economic penalty, social stigma, criminal prosecution—this resistance erodes to terminal compliance within 18-36 months. Terminal non-compliance stabilizes at 2-4%.

American planners confronted distinct challenge. Constitutional culture, geographic dispersion, and prior armament rates suggested initial resistance potentially exceeding 50%—levels overwhelming enforcement capacity and potentially triggering legitimacy collapse. Standard pressure protocols would prove insufficient.

Alternative methodologies emerged from cross-disciplinary analysis. Psychological operations research suggested that perceived legitimacy—rather than actual enforcement capacity—determined compliance thresholds. Populations viewing authorities as legitimate surrendered weapons voluntarily. Populations questioning legitimacy required physical confrontation, risking cascade effects.

The solution involved legitimacy manufacturing through catastrophe simulation. Emergency declarations, however triggered, temporarily suspend normative constraints. Populations experiencing existential threat—pandemic, famine, infrastructure collapse—demand state protection with desperation overriding constitutional scruples. Weapons, framed as public health hazards or emergency complications, face voluntary surrender rates exceeding 90%.

COVID-19 provided proof-of-concept. Emergency declarations in all 50 states demonstrated suspension capacity. Population compliance with unprecedented restrictions—lockdowns, business closures, medical mandates—established behavioral baselines. Resistance remained marginal, isolated, easily characterized as pathological through captured media infrastructure.

The three percent calculation emerged from post-COVID modeling. If 97% would comply with house arrest, masking, and medical injection under emergency framing, then 97% would comply with disarmament under equivalent framing. The remaining 3%—geographically dispersed, organizationally isolated, psychologically profiled—could be managed through targeted operations without general population awareness.

📍 Critical Insight: The calculation assumes not heroism but isolation. Three percent resisting individually equals zero percent resisting effectively. Coordinated resistance requires communication infrastructure. Communication infrastructure is monitored, mapped, and vulnerable to disruption. Therefore, 3% individual resistance subtracts from zero coordinated capacity.

Inventory Activation: From Counting to Collecting
Post-2020 procurement anomalies accelerated. Categories suggestive of population management rather than emergency response dominated:

    • Coffin Liners: Polymer burial containers, stackable, weather-resistant, acquired in quantities exceeding combat casualty estimates by factor of 100.

    • Guillotine Components: Hydraulic blade mechanisms, specified for “livestock processing,” acquired by agencies without agricultural mandate.

    • Camp Infrastructure: Modular housing, shower facilities, and processing centers deployable within 72 hours to civilian locations including retail parking facilities.

    • DNA Harvesting: “Testing” implements and “vaccine” delivery systems with documented nanoparticle content—hydrogels, quantum dots, synthetic biological markers—creating persistent biometric identifiers linkable to centralized databases.

The inventory phase, by these indicators, approaches completion. Enumeration established what exists. Acquisition will establish what remains. Transition requires only activation of pre-positioned infrastructure.

Witness testimony from planning-level personnel describes operational concept. Upon emergency declaration—environmental, biological, or infrastructure-triggered—populations receive notification through centralized communication systems. Notification directs movement to “reception centers” for processing, resource allocation, and temporary housing. Reception centers, located at facilities with familiar branding—big-box retail, entertainment complexes, community centers—reduce psychological resistance through environmental familiarity.

Processing involves asset inventory, biometric confirmation, and assignment to categories: essential, non-essential, problematic. Essential personnel receive credentialing for continued movement and resource access. Non-essential persons receive housing assignment pending workforce reintegration assessment. Problematic persons—resistance indicators, non-compliance history, essential skill absence—receive separate processing.

The categorization is not punitive in bureaucratic conception. It is efficient. Resources are finite. Demand exceeds supply. Optimization requires triage. Triage requires classification. Classification, once established, acquires its own momentum.
I suspect Israel is a part of this 'research' and thus knew that they could get the majority of the population to support and carry out genocide?

'They' think they have the perfect plan, and the article in its entirety paints a very scary picture. But, they cannot kill everyone without contaminating the Earth.

Quote Post-Human Optimization: When Most Become Unnecessary
Emerging from planning documents is recognition that most human labor has become technically redundant. Robotics, artificial intelligence, and automated systems accomplish material production, service delivery, and administrative processing with minimal human involvement. The population, from this perspective, represents not workforce but consumption burden—biological entities requiring resource allocation without corresponding productive contribution.

Historical precedents exist for population reduction under resource constraint. Contemporary technological capacity, however, enables precision unprecedented in such operations. DNA-specific targeting, individualized tracking through persistent identifiers, and automated processing infrastructure allow demographic engineering at scale previously requiring industrial camp complexes.

The 90% reduction figure appears in multiple planning contexts—not as explicit goal but as emergent outcome of optimization protocols. If essential functions require 10% of current population, and if resource constraints demand reduction, then 90% becomes mathematical consequence rather than ideological objective.

Bureaucratic systems do not require hatred to implement elimination. They require only category distinction and process authorization. The Holocaust was implemented not by monsters but by clerks. Contemporary systems, more sophisticated in their automation, require even less individual moral engagement.

Resistance Cartography: Mapping the Marginalized Three
For those recognizing themselves in the 3% calculation—understanding that compliance ensures not survival but merely delayed processing—strategic questions emerge. Historical resistance patterns suggest several principles:

Isolation proves fatal. Individual resistance, however courageous, accomplishes nothing against systems with overwhelming force asymmetry. Coordinated resistance requires communication, and communication infrastructure is compromised.

Legitimacy determines outcomes. Populations resist visibly illegitimate authority more readily than legitimate-appearing authority. Emergency framing undermines legitimacy perception. Therefore, resistance to emergency framing itself becomes strategic priority.

Resources become vulnerabilities. Stockpiled supplies, documented holdings, and registered capabilities become targeting data. True preparation requires invisibility—capabilities without documentation, resources without registration, networks without digital footprint.

Time advantages the system. Each passing year sees infrastructure consolidation, database completion, and population acclimation. Delay advantages optimization. Urgency is not paranoia but realism.

The 3% who resist will not be saved by these recognitions. But they may extend resistance duration, increase its cost to the system, and preserve for subsequent generations knowledge that submission was not universal.

Terminal Prognosis: What the Numbers Foretell
Actuarial tables do not lie. They do not hope. They calculate. And the calculations—rendered in procurement quantities, facility specifications, and simulation outcomes—describe a terminus toward which institutional momentum carries civilization.

Within five years, by these indicators, comprehensive inventory activation becomes likely. Environmental triggers—climate events, infrastructure failures, biological emergence—provide sufficient justification. Population movement to processing facilities follows established protocols. Categorization and assignment proceed according to pre-established criteria.

Some will adapt. Some will comply. Some will resist individually and be processed accordingly. The 3% calculation will prove accurate, as such calculations usually do.

What remains after processing—what knowledge, what culture, what human possibility—depends upon preparations made in the interval before activation. Not preparations of material accumulation, which merely provide targeting data. But preparations of invisibility, of skill preservation, of network formation outside digital infrastructure, of memory keeping that survives institutional erasure.

The enumeration is complete. The inventory awaits activation. The 3% have been calculated, located, and profiled.

What they do with the remaining time is theirs to determine.

Yes. I do believe the stats, especially the terminal noncompliance number at 2% - 4% is effectively equal to zero %.

    Planet is not overpopulated...
But I'd strongly suggest that it really is. It's not about living space, it's about very finite resources (including oil and all its industrial products), the depletion of the quality of arable land everywhere (therefore requiring ever more chemical fertilizer), and the devastating, accelerating impact on the entire biosphere.

This may be another situation where both are true.

I'm not convinced we've discovered sustainable development.

It's hugely overpopulated, in the sense that by basic methods, over the ages, there was a peak population of about a billion in 1800.

While it has grown drastically, when a war results in a million deaths, growth is curbed; perhaps Africa is catching up, because, although slower in technology, that also means they can't kill each other millions at a time.

One is never particularly comforted to realize there are those who plot for your demise and their survival, and for instance the sheer contempt of the World Bank in tying agricultural development to dollar dominance, this is all less than saintly.

What is the "population"? Ageing, geriatric, in need of life support? Should I count that person as the same as one who can do agricultural work? Were the Eskimos right to conclude retirement = death sentence? I have no problem jumping into the flames once I become a burden.

I do have a problem with some "expert" dumping solutions on the rest of us. Any "plan" can be removed relatively easily, but not if you ignore it.

Any technology cannot be sustained very easily, so this is ultimately no help.

I remain open to, I suppose, figuring out how to wean ourselves off of it, that is, to re-learn normal life, while no, it shouldn't take the course of simply destroying the oil industry or anything drastic like that; just corresponding legal changes that would prevent the hoarding of wealth and all this tight-fisted, manipulative control apparatus.

I guess one could argue that part of the solution to that depopulation plan for Europe in relation to Europeans might be the following.

What I mean with this is the influx of fighting age Men in Western countries, no... I do not feel they are there to attack us, I think they are there to replace the fallen. See, this push on War with Russia is strange, they must know it is a very bad idea, despite their Narcissistic Psychopathic defects they do have think-tanks, they would have advised the intake of these foreign fighting age Men. Widows of soldiers move on too.

Their defect clearly still has them thinking all will be well and in the end of the day they will prevail, feck the rest, right.

They know that if they do prevail that in one generation from that day they will have obedient Youths to control, not going into a certain discussion, yet... the one cannot be seen without the other, could be wrong, still, can't shake the thought.

Another added perspective ... if Earth is already visited by all kinds of different Aliens of many kinds ... most of them may hold the key to offer help with any issues dealing with how to move forward ... and maybe they already did via people like Nikola Tesla?

Alien Tech Space travel and Deep Sea travel are all related to how to move forward dealing with more and more humans being alive in Earth!

The 90% . . . could their plan be to save the children because they're more malleable, and cull the rest of us? How they plan to extract them is anybody's guess but . . . covid vax?

According to Chatgpt the percentage of children in the world today aged 0-10 is 17-18% or 1.45bn.

The number of children in the world today between the ages of 6-14 is 13% or 1.1bn.

Not directly related, but I think this article is useful here ...

    https://substack.com/home/post/p-199538258

Why is the US racing recklessly to build so many data centres?

Quote What the Buildout Is For

Pulling it together — and this is my thesis, stated as a thesis: the data centers are the physical substrate that surveillance, digital ID, behavioral scoring, and predictive systems all run on. The reclassification of pushback as a security threat is the legal lever. The detention capacity is the physical one. The language operation is the cultural one. All three are being installed at once, and all three depend on the compute the data centers provide.

That’s the case. Not chatbots. The backbone of a control architecture that’s been planned, in pieces, by different bodies, and is now being installed in the open.
So, good old fascism! Note that communism is not fascism, but both democracy and communism as political systems can be hijacked by fascism.

Quote The Project That Cannot Finish

In nearly every case, authoritarian projects attempt the same impossible thing: freeze a complex society into a fixed configuration. None have managed to hold it. The thousand-year Reich lasted twelve years. The Soviet system, designed as the endpoint of history, lasted seventy. Mao’s Cultural Revolution was unwound by his own party within a decade of his death. The British Empire dissolved in two generations. Each looked unstoppable at its peak. Each had apparatus that seemed total. Each came undone faster than its planners or its critics predicted.

That’s not coincidence. Total control requires perfect coordination among the people implementing it — and they can’t fully trust each other once they understand what total control means. The faction that wins absolute power becomes a threat to every other faction, so no faction can be allowed to win absolutely. The project stays permanently undermined from within. That’s the structural ceiling, and the current configuration will hit it too.

The damage between here and there will be real. The transition will be hard. But the totality the planners are aiming at is not reachable, because the coordination it requires doesn’t survive contact with the people who’d have to maintain it.
The entire article is worth reading for all the details backing up the thesis ... and it ends on a positive note in that it makes an informed predictions that the project will collapse. However, there will be a lot of damage before the collapse: to the environment, to people all over the world, to future generations, to human civilization.

LLMs are a very useful tool if they are used as a powerful search and sort tool, with the capability to translate, summarise, contrast and compare... With such a tool, humans can do much more with their intelligence. But, AI is destroying precious books (destruction is not required to scan the contents of a book in readable and searchable format), stealing content, programming bias into systems, dumbing down populations by offering to do thinking for us ... and many more harms. Every new technology/invention has risks, but in the case of the development of AI, the risks are being ignored and magnified. It is not the people gobbling resources and racing to build data processing centres that are educating people on the intelligent use of LLMs as a tool but independents, some of who make contributions here in PA
