    "Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is speaking out about her dramatic break with Donald Trump, making explosive claims about the fight over the release of the Epstein files. Greene says Trump was determined to stop the files from being released and accused him of personally confronting her over her decision to oppose him on legislation.
    Greene has also described Trump’s reaction to her political disagreements, saying he yelled at her for not supporting his bill. In another striking claim, she has criticized the MAGA movement and described it as a “cult.”

    DD Geopolitics

    🇺🇸US to release up to 40 million barrels from Strategic Petroleum Reserve on Trump's order, Department of Energy says

    The oil is being offered to energy companies as a loan, to be paid back later with extra barrels. It is the last batch of the 172 million barrels Washington pledged to the IEA's coordinated 400-million-barrel release after the US launched its war on Iran.

    The same 40 million barrels were already offered in June. Companies took roughly 500,000.

    With fuel prices climbing and midterms less than two months away, Washington is also pressing European governments to drain their own reserves.

    The US started a war in the Gulf, and now it's emptying its emergency stockpile and asking allies to do the same to cover the cost at the pump.

    Is this what happens when the Strait is open?

    Wow, even the 'Conservative American' says it. But personally, I think that it was Trump's cover up of the Epstein files that triggered deep disapproval of him among Americans, and Trump's unprovoked attack on Iran further indicated that he's not in charge of USA, I$rael is.

    Yes, the Iran war has destroyed Trump's presidency

    September 29, 2026

    No one would claim that the Iran War has been a political godsend for President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. But some Israel-First conservatives are willing to say—and lately have been incessantly saying—that the Iran War hasn’t been a political scourge.

    Those Israel-First conservatives are wrong, even if the devil is, at least partly, hidden in the details. The Iran War has damaged Trump’s approval ratings, consumed his presidency, and darkened the GOP’s prospects in the upcoming midterm elections.

    A chief proponent of the argument that Trump hasn’t suffered all that much from the Iran War is Ben Shapiro of the Daily Wire. Shapiro’s political analysis is plainly motivated by the fact that he was a loud and influential proponent of the war who promised—falsely, as it turned out—that Iran couldn’t close the Strait of Hormuz, a chokepoint for the global energy trade.

    These days, Shapiro seems to be implicitly acknowledging the war is very unpopular while trying to argue this fact has nothing to do with the declining approval ratings of the president who launched it. We should thank Shapiro, for he has expressed his new argument in such a way as to help us uncover those devilish details that make the Iran War a not-entirely-straightforward story of political calamity.

    “There’s an op right now to pretend that the real reason for President Trump’s unpopularity is foreign policy, but that is not true, by the polling data, it is not true,” said Shapiro on a recent episode of his podcast. “The reality is that Americans have affordability concerns, President Trump came into office saying he was going to alleviate the affordability concerns. He has not in fact alleviated the affordability concerns, and therefore, his polling numbers have consistently slid since Liberation Day.”

    This is a bit like me saying my wife isn’t mad at me because of the drinking, but because I drunkenly crashed the car.

    The Iran War, as everyone now knows, has driven up prices at the pump—prices which, unfortunately for Trump, are prominently displayed on every major street across the country. On the eve of the war, regular gasoline averaged $2.98 per gallon. Today, at the time of writing, the average price is $4.48. Americans are notoriously averse to high gasoline prices and tend to punish presidents over the issue, sometimes even when the president can’t justifiably be blamed.

    But make no mistake: Virtually every sentient adult understands that 1) oil comes from the Middle East, 2) Trump started a big war in the region, and 3) gas prices shot up right afterwards. And again, even if Americans didn’t grok the connection between the war and the gas-price spike, the latter would still have hurt Trump politically, and it would still be a knock-on effect of the former.

    It’s not just prices at the pump that have gone up because of the war. Groceries and other consumer goods travel across this vast land on tractor-trailers that run on diesel and get a lot fewer miles per gallon than even your Uncle Larry’s F-350. Diesel prices have smashed records and now sit at around $6.50, up from $3.76 before the war.

    No wonder truckers are furious, prompting rumors of an imminent strike.

    And no wonder the Iran War has contributed to general inflation in America. Anyone who has been reading the official economic reports knows the war is responsible for more than a third of recent inflation.

    Before the war, inflation was trending down, only a couple ticks away from the Federal Reserve’s target of 2 percent. It seems likely that Trump, if he hadn’t started his dumb war in the Middle East, would have garnered praise for presiding over declining inflation and that the Fed would have cut interest rates, juicing economic growth. Instead, inflation now sits at 3.4 percent.

    (As an aside, this weekend I traveled to Istanbul, where many Middle Easterners of various nationalities complained to me that Americans only oppose the war because of the gas prices. That’s simply not true. The war has been unpopular since day one, when all that Americans knew was the American-Israeli strikes had killed Iranian leaders including the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.)

    Shapiro, ever the neoconservative, insinuated in the quote above that the decline in Trump’s approval rating owes more to his tariffs than to his war. The data doesn’t back that up, as the conservative commentator and election analyst Ryan Girdusky noted on X in response to new survey data. “The most eye opening part of this poll is that Trump’s approval rating and the strength of the economy went up right after Liberation Day,” Girdusky said. “Fell slightly afterward and then plummeted at the start of the Iran War.”

    Shapiro has unwittingly helped uncover another, subtler, way in which the Iran War has indirectly damaged Trump’s approval ratings and, by extension, the Republican Party brand. Shapiro recently went on Fox News to commiserate with the host Mark Levin—another Israel-Firster and warmonger—over all those dastardly antiwar conservatives blaming the Iran War for everything.

    “Iran is a 4-percent issue with the American people,” Levin said, as Shapiro nodded in agreement. Levin was referring to Fox News polling that shows not many Americans name the Iran War as their top issue. “So, whatever happens in the midterms, it doesn’t appear that Iran’s going to drive anything one way or another.”

    “I think that’s exactly right,” Shapiro replied.

    Part of the problem with Levin’s analysis has already been covered above. In the Fox poll, a plurality of Americans—34 percent—named the cost of living as the most important issue, and the Iran War has made living costlier.

    But the subtler problem is perhaps even more illuminating. Simply put, Americans believe Trump is too focused on foreign policy at the expense of the problem they really care about, which, in fact, his Iran War has exacerbated. This is a PR disaster for the Trump administration and the GOP. Americans don’t prioritize the war that has dominated the headlines and distracted the White House, even as Trump claims to have boldly prevented Iran from unleashing nuclear apocalypse.

    It may be grotesque to find silver linings in this dumb and deadly war, but here’s one:
    Americans no longer buy the war narratives. That is certainly not, however, a silver lining for Republican candidates in this year’s election, no matter how cynically they try to distance themselves from the war. In fact, it’s a good bet they’ll do much worse than if Trump hadn’t launched this unnecessary war, despite what Shapiro and his ilk may tell you.

    Trump Unveils $15B Steel Giant as Carney Auctions Canada for Parts

    October 1, 2026

    Summary
    00:00 The Midweek Update - Trump Unveils $15B Steel Giant as Carney Auctions Canada for Parts - September 30, 2026
    01:14 Mined, Melted and Poured in America
    05:28 Carney’s Summit Sells the Airports
    08:47 The Body Count

    This midweek update contrasts two investment stories.

    On Monday, President Trump announced a $15 billion Mesabi Metallics steel mill in Iowa, supplied by the first new iron ore mine in the United States in 50 years, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Export-Import Bank Chairman John Jovanovic and Mesabi Metallics’ Rewant Ruia laid out how tariffs, government credit and a complete American supply chain made it possible: a crash course in the American System of economics.

    Two weeks earlier, Mark Carney’s Canada Investment Summit claimed nearly $500 billion in new investment, but the first thing on the block was long-term concessions on Canada’s four largest airports, and of its 167 projects, 63 are mining and metals while only 8 are non-military domestic manufacturing, as Stelco announces up to 500 job cuts in Hamilton.

    The episode then turns to Canada’s MAID program, with 16,499 assisted deaths in 2024, and to Sir Julian Huxley, UNESCO’s first director-general, who wrote in 1946 that “much that now is unthinkable may at least become thinkable.” It closes with the official U.S. poverty rate falling to 10.2%, record-low child and Hispanic poverty, and a new optimism about America’s future.

    This report, originally reported by TIME, is now circulating on a number of media channels.

    https://techcrunch.com/2026/10/01/musks-ai-chatbot-grok-reportedly-encouraged-trump-to-capture-venezuelas-president

    Musk’s AI chatbot Grok reportedly encouraged Trump to capture Venezuela’s president

    In December 2025, about a month before the U.S. invaded Venezuela and captured its president, Nicolás Maduro, President Trump had a secret meeting with Elon Musk, Time magazine reports. This was roughly seven months after Musk left his role in the Trump administration at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

    During this meeting, Trump “spent hours” talking to Musk’s Grok chatbot, including asking how Venezuelans would respond to the capture of their president, a source told Time. Just a few months earlier, in September, Trump began ordering U.S. military strikes against Venezuelan boats that Trump alleged were involved in drug trafficking.

    People had apparently been turning to Grok asking about the boat strikes and political climate in Venezuela, as The Atlantic reported at the time. So Grok told Trump that Maduro was a “deeply unpopular dictator and that many Venezuelans would likely celebrate his downfall,” Time reported.

    When such celebrations indeed happened after the U.S. invaded on January 3, Trump apparently “came away thinking Grok was ingenious,” that source told Time.

    ~~~
    Here's the entire TIME article:
    https://time.com/article/2026/10/01/...2026-interview
    And this is the relevant paragraph, which many commentators are discussing:
    ~~~
    Since returning to office, Trump has marveled at AI’s capabilities. He is increasingly in thrall to the tech executives courting him. In December 2025, Elon Musk returned to the Oval Office for a clandestine meeting. Trump spent hours asking Grok, Musk’s AI chatbot, questions about his presidency and legacy, according to an official present. At the time, Trump was ordering missile strikes against Venezuelan boats he alleged were smuggling drugs into the U.S. He asked Grok how Venezuelans would react if the U.S. captured Maduro. According to the official present, the chatbot responded that Maduro was a repressive and deeply unpopular dictator and that many Venezuelans would likely celebrate his downfall. After Trump ordered the mission to seize Maduro, the following month, celebrations broke out in the streets. Trump, according to officials, came away thinking Grok was ingenious.

    I've been reading political hit pieces, and political puff pieces, for a long time.

    TIME magazine is a master at them.

    This TIME article is well written.

    It hits many of the buttons that the anti-Trump side is increasingly pushing in main stream media.

    It gets the basic facts correct, and it reliably reflects the main stream narrative being fed potential voters in the coming Nov 2026 election.

    I wouldn't trust TIME magazine, or much else such media, with any unverifiable judgmental claim, pro or con, regarding any public figure. In this particular case, I'd be surprised if Trump “spent hours” talking to Musk’s Grok chatbot ... just my guess ... but Trump seems more like a fast moving people person, not addicted to "hours" of technology. He praises AI from its financial, re-industrializing America, and other power politics perspectives, not as a nerd (e.g. your bovine admin) might.

    Nice hit piece, TIME.

    The Muslim Question In USA
    Here for about fifteen minutes (32 minutes to 44 minutes) or so Riccardo Bosi whom lived in the middle east for several years explains the Muslim philosophy about western people and western countries.

    Now this may not be politically correct as us westerners are very accommodating but it needs to be heard and in typically aussie style you can expect some colour fully commentary from Riccardo so if you feel you might be offended please move along.

    P.S. If you wonder why we don't have much of a problem with Muslims here in Australia, well thats because we won't put up with it we put our foot down. You remember the Cronulla Riots, you heard how Riccardo speaks of muslims and I have seen it personally how situations have been dealt with and (surprisingly the freemason) police even put their foot down here in Australia.

    Final note I have had friends that are muslim and one of my best mates of several years was muslim and I can say the vast majority are great people that simply want to get along with everyone, prosper and have good life.

    And then there is the Muslim invasion. Bosi delivers an unapologetic call to proscribe Islam as an ideology, not a religion, and warns that the West is committing cultural suicide. Dr. Merritt exposes the programed infiltration of Christian nations, Jaco reveals weapons stockpiled in American mosques, and Derek Johnson calls on every patriot to stand ready. The enemy is at the gate.

    What's this old internet meme... I think it goes something like this:
    "They're scaring you with notions that 'Islam' is invading your country to distract you from the fact that Zionism already has."

    A few questions to ponder:
    - Who orchestrated the assassinations of JFK and Charlie Kirk? (It wasn't Muslims.)
    - Was Jeffrey Epstein running a child trafficking operation to blackmail powerful men for the benefit of... Islam?
    - Is AIPAC established by Muslims to serve Islam's interests?
    - Why are most members of the congress voting to support military aid to Israel used to slaughter Palestinians? Because Islam bribed them?
    - Are so many Muslims fleeing the middle east because of Islam, or because zionists are slaughtering them and stealing their lands?
    - Israel provided material support to ISIS to terrorize Syria, Iraq & Iran. Isn't this the reason that ISIS never attacked Israel?
    - Was it Muslims who brainwashed 'zionist christians' to unconditionally serve Israel, to the point of demanding USA wars for greater Israel?
    Etc.

    Those who don't like Muslims migrating to USA should maybe stop devastating their middle east countries of origin. Just a thought.
    By the way, a google search just indicated the number of synagogues in the USA as 3,700. So what?

    The frightening thing is that the psychological effects of brainwashing and crowd think, both of which are being amplified on social media, always override reason and facts for most people. Americans do not even realise how brainwashed they are. By the way, brainwashing does not always have negative effects. For example, South Africans were inundated with rainbow nation (diversity is our strength) 'propaganda' , which worked. A small group of fascist self-identifying white Afrikaners are pursuing the divisive strategy (heavily supported by the US), but the rainbow nation identification is shared by the vast majority of the population, which is good for national cohesion. Tolerance for differences is so high in the country that differences are celebrated and are a source of national pride.

    American commentators like Tucker Carlson still debate if a war or sanctions or demands on other countries are justified. e.g. Iran cannot have nuclear weapons is accepted by all as valid.) Americans do believe that killing and violence can be justified. Violence may be inevitable under some circumstances but it is never justifiable.

    The UK population is firmly in the grip of racist and xenophobic beliefs and no reasoning gets through to them. South Africa is still struggling with a wave of horrific xenophobia but the truth on the ground is that there are too many poor people in South Africa and the huge wave of economic immigrants put a strain on social services, competition in the job market for the working class, and demand for housing etc. The xenophobia in the US and UK is largely manufactured and not driven by economic hardships in communities.

    Trump is going to unleash a nuclear bomb on Iran. I am pretty sure about that. His ego demands it. Americans will really around him or remove him from power and replace him with someone who will follow the same policies but in a socially acceptable way (like Obama). No country will unleash nuclear bombs on the US, but Americans will believe that they will and amp up their violence and destruction 'preemptively', until they run out of bombs or start hurting themselves so badly they will have to stop. I am speculating!

    However, we cannot give up on reason and empathy. If we do, we hand the world over to the barbarians from the jungle.

    Edit to add: You will find people posting on this thread who celebrate the 'successes' of Trump. For them, the deliberate killing of over 160 little children at Minab was worth it, as has been the destruction of Gaza, the killing of people by ICE, the incarceration and deportation of unaccompanied minors, etc. Perhaps they shut out that violence or perhaps they divide the world into desirables and undesirables, and at worst perhaps they enjoy the violence ... like playing a video game.

    Must watch.

    Beginning at 21:50 the discussion turns to Trump's interference in elections in South America (e.g. Argentina), and a particularly horrific 'intervention' in Bolivia.

    Some may remember that I've posted several times that this wouldn't happen. But as timelines morph and change (and yes, they really do), I confess I'm not at all so sure about that now. It might be the ideal one-strike way (from Trump's POV) to "declare victory" and withdraw.

    A tactical nuke dropped on Pickaxe Mountain wouldn't actually do that much harm, as it's an immense granite edifice, and — of course!! — Iran will definitely have moved everything of military value from that region anyway.

    But the spectacle would be significant, and the geopolitical impact would be to legitimize tactical nuclear weapons on other battlefields such as Ukraine, Russia, Europe — and even Israel, if the Pakistanis get involved. So the real danger would be that of tactical nuke proliferation elsewhere, their use no longer taboo.

    What I am still 100% sure of is that a full-scale Armageddon-like nuclear exchange won't be permitted and will NOT happen.

    Trump’s Industrial Revival vs Carney's State Suicide: Can We Build a Future?

    Promethean Overviews
    October 2, 2026

    America’s industrial future takes center stage as Mike Steger examines President Trump’s approach to steel, artificial intelligence, and national renewal, contrasting it with Mark Carney’s Canada and the choices facing Americans this November.

    Mike connects three stories that he argues reveal the foundations of a thriving civilization: investment in American steel production, a White House technology summit, and a resurgence of Christian faith among young people. He explores how basic industry, technological progress, and a culture of hope work together to create lasting prosperity.

    The discussion moves from Minnesota’s iron ore to steel production in Iowa, examining why energy abundance is essential to manufacturing, infrastructure, and the next generation of artificial intelligence. Mike contrasts his vision for America with Canada’s direction under Mark Carney, criticizing its approach to industry, immigration, and medically assisted death.

    Finally, Mike explores religious renewal in France and the United States, making the case that economic progress begins with a belief that the future is worth building. Drawing on George Washington’s leadership at the Battle of Monmouth, he argues that November’s election will test America’s identity, leadership, and determination to move forward.

    Thanks Bill. I do believe that he is surrounded by people like Netanyahu and Hegseth who would want a nuclear bomb unleashed on Iran, with as many casualties as possible, and he has been threatening to annihilate the Iranian people (the latest threats were made at the UN). He may end up doing a performative strike that the world will pretty much ignore as no big deal, but could lead to his own demise as president as Americans long for a 'safer' president. But, in my worst speculations I do not see nuclear retaliation from Russia, China, Pakistan, North Korea, so in my worst imaginings I do not see a worldwide Armageddon but I do see Iranians being in huge danger. If one more child gets killed in this madness it is an awful and avoidable tragedy.

    One thing is clear: Hegseth is of the "Armageddon" death cult, and he is pushing that agenda. Who stays in an army with that sort of agenda? The stats in the article below says 70% of armed forces are 'christian', but that doesn't necessarily mean zionist christian.

    Pentagon’s new religious office faces watchdog challenge
    US religious-freedom group seeks clarity after Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced the creation of a new Office of Religious Affairs

    October 3, 2026

    The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has announced plans to launch a probe into a new religious affairs office recently unveiled by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

    The Wisconsin-based nonprofit said on Thursday that it is seeking transparency into the office’s funding, operations and plans to assess troops’ “spiritual fitness.”

    The announcement came shortly after Hegseth said the Pentagon was establishing the Office of Religious Affairs (ORA) to address what he described as a decline in religious community in the military following an era of “political correctness.”

    In his State of the Force address on Wednesday at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia, Hegseth said the new office’s head is expected to serve as the secretary and deputy secretary’s chief adviser on religious affairs.

    Hegseth argued that the military had previously prioritized “political correctness and secular humanism” over religion, with “secular careerists in cubicles and lawyers running around with red tape” overseeing service members’ spiritual lives instead of military chaplains.

    According to the memorandum signed by the secretary earlier this week, the office is tasked with aligning religious-affairs policy, overseeing the Armed Forces Chaplains Board, representing the department to civilian religious endorsing organizations, and sponsoring research and tools to “support and assess spiritual fitness, spiritual readiness, and spiritual resilience.”

    The FFRF said it will use the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which allows the public to request records from US government agencies, to seek documents on the office’s funding, budget and staffing. The group also wants records on how the Pentagon defines and plans to assess “spiritual fitness,” “spiritual readiness” and “spiritual resilience,” including any technologies or tools being considered. The requests will also cover ties to outside religious groups and records concerning atheist, humanist and other nonreligious service members and potential First Amendment issues.

    Americans United for Separation of Church and State President and CEO Rachel Laser said Hegseth’s new office would elevate Christianity’s role in shaping US military policy. She also accused him of using his position to advance what she described as a “Christian Nationalist agenda” in the military.

    Hegseth’s personal Christian beliefs have previously drawn media attention, with some analysis arguing that they are increasingly influencing US military policy.

    In March, The Washington Post cited former senior military officials and experts on religion and law as saying that Hegseth’s religious policies had challenged longstanding norms limiting the promotion of a particular faith. The war secretary reportedly held monthly evangelical services at the Pentagon at the time, while department employees were reluctant to discuss concerns related to his religious campaign.

    Earlier this year, the Pentagon, at Hegseth’s initiative, cut the number of recognized religious denominations and belief systems for service members from 211 to 31. The department’s latest official breakdown from 2019 shows that about 70% of active-duty service members identified as Christian, 2% as atheist or agnostic, and 24% as having no religious affiliation or an unknown religious affiliation.
