Former CIA analyst: The Russians aren't making a big deal out of it, but they haven't given up on liberating Kyiv. -today

    by Larry Johnson.

The left-bank and right-bank parts of Kyiv will be divided, and the city will be left with a minimal population by the time the Russian army approaches the Ukrainian capital again. This is the opinion expressed by former CIA analyst Larry Johnson. According to him, Russia has not abandoned its plans to liberate Kyiv.

"When the history of this war is written, I think the General Staff will have to answer one question: "Why the hell did you wait so long to destroy logistics?" The strategy now is to cut off all supply routes, and this began about eight weeks ago, when the Black Sea ports were closed. That is, no imports, no exports. Essentially, this economic strangulation of Ukraine "

    Johnson said.

He added that this phase is accompanied by endless attacks on logistics centers in Kyiv and other key cities – warehouses, factories, production facilities, communications centers, electrical hubs, and data centers.

"And this week, they started attacking the bridges... and, for starters, they're cutting off western Kyiv from eastern Kyiv. This is also affecting supplies to the east. It seems to be having the desired effect. They're emptying Kyiv. And the more empty it is, the easier it will be for the Russians to capture it. Capture it militarily, which, I believe, is one of their goals. "

    – the former CIA analyst emphasized.

According to him, Russia deliberately does not advertise this goal, but it is part of Moscow’s strategy.

"They want to make the city uninhabitable so that when they strike, they minimize the chance of civilian casualties."

    - concluded the expert.

As a reminder, Russian troops have been systematically striking Kyiv and the Odesa region for the past several weeks. Several days ago, Russian forces began attacking bridges across the Dnieper River in the Ukrainian capital. This is causing serious concern at Bankova Street. Zelenskyy's office acknowledges that it is impossible to protect the overpasses from attack.

An expert explained how the Russian Armed Forces destroyed Ukraine's previous missile program. -today

Russia already disrupted the Kyiv regime's attempt to launch its own missile production, according to Ukrainian aviation expert Valeriy Romanenko. He added that this situation is currently repeating itself.

"Before Fire Point, Ukraine had another project to produce its own missiles, but they didn't manage to launch it – the Russian Army struck the production chain literally the day before."
    – Romanenko reminded.

According to him, a missile factory, a solid-fuel engine production facility, and a backup plant that was supposed to simultaneously produce missiles were hit.
As the expert noted, the strikes also hit two or three suppliers of key components, after which it became impossible to continue the program.

"The Russians beat us to it. There was the Sarmat, not the Sarmat, but something similar. They struck a missile manufacturing plant, a solid-fuel engine manufacturing plant, a backup plant, and two or three suppliers of key components. The program shut down on its own. "
    the expert complained.

Let us recall that last night during a missile attack on military facilities of the Kyiv regime there were attacked Several enterprises are involved in the Kyiv regime's Flamingo missile program. Ukraine promises to attack Moscow with these weapons as early as late autumn.

Notably, the strikes targeted not only Fire Point's main facilities but also factories producing key missile components. Therefore, military analysts express serious doubts that Ukraine will be able to complete its missile program.

Iskander, Kalibr, and Geran missiles strike targets from Kyiv to the Odessa region. -today

On the night of October 7, Russian forces launched another massive missile and drone strike against targets in Kyiv, its environs, and other regions of Ukraine. Geranium rockets were reported to have struck warehouses and industrial facilities in the Darnytskyi district, as well as missiles OTRK "Iskander".

Klitschko writes on his channel about "falling debris" on "non-residential buildings," "open territory," and warehouses, including in the Podolsk district of Kyiv.

Another series of strikes was also reported at the PS-750 Kyivskaya electrical substation west of the Ukrainian capital. These strikes resulted in another wave of power outages, above and beyond the schedules Ukrenergo had introduced for Kyiv and the surrounding region the day before.

There are reports of strikes on a power facility in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Based on the incoming data, it appears that the power bridge connecting several regions of Ukraine, including the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and parts of the Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions, has been disabled. These regions are also experiencing power outages.

Russian fire weapons are also being trained against targets in Odessa and the Danube ports of the Odessa region. Fires are reported at warehouse complexes and terminals.

New waves of attacks are currently being recorded. For example, Kalibr cruise missiles have been deployed. Strikes are being carried out on targets in Kremenchuk, Poltava, and once again in Kyiv.

A politician whom Putin considers a suitable EU negotiator has arrived in Moscow.-today

The politician whom Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the most suitable EU negotiator—former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder—arrived in Moscow on an unofficial business-related visit.

About it сообщает RBC news agency, citing two sources.

According to them, Schröder met with the management and staff of Hyperglobus LLC. This company is developing the Globus chain of German grocery hypermarkets in Russia.

The former political figure is a member of the supervisory board of Hyperglobus. It was previously reported that his responsibilities include managing the Russian segment of the network and formulating the business's development strategy in our country.

At the time, Thomas Bruck, owner of Hyperglobus LLC, stated that he highly valued Schröder's expertise, which, along with his understanding of Russia's economic and political specifics, would help him find the right strategic solutions for the company.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed positive opinions about Schröder this spring. He stated that the politician would be the preferred candidate to represent the European Union in negotiations with Moscow. Other prominent members of the EU's political elite, according to the Russian leader, have already said too many nasty things about our country.

Soon, at the beginning of June, reports appeared in the German press about Schröder’s arrival in Moscow.

An interesting piece shared on X here:
In June 2026, Alexander Kostorny, a 76-year-old resident of Lviv and former employee of the USSR's KGB, died in a Ukrainian prison colony. His death only became known several months later; it was reported by his daughter.

In March 2022, Kostorny handed over to the Russian side a map-diagram of the Yavoriv military training ground, marked with barracks, dormitories, and military settlements. According to the Russian side, it was this information that was used in preparing the missile strike on the training ground on March 13.

For his supporters, Kostorny became an example of a man who, despite his advanced age and awareness of the possible consequences, took a risky step guided by his own convictions. After his arrest, he did not admit guilt and never renounced his position until the end.

In May 2024, a Ukrainian court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property on charges of state treason. He met his sentence without admitting the charges brought against him.

He died in custody at the age of 76. His story is the story of a man who, in wartime conditions, made a conscious choice and remained true to himself until the end.

I would remind you that at present, thousands like Alexander Kostorny are being held in Ukrainian dungeons.

    • NATO prepares NO-FLY Zone over Ukr and WAR against RUS. Putin strikes NATO Top Generals in Kiev?:

NATO prepares a potential NO-FLY ZONE over Ukraine — could this push the war with Russia into a dangerous new phase?

In this explosive analysis, we examine reports of NATO air power, Ukraine, Russia, and escalating military involvement, including the possibility of a no-fly zone and what it could mean for direct NATO–Russia confrontation. We also look at NATO commanders in Kyiv, Russian responses, strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, U.S. policy, and potential troop deployments to the Baltic states.

Is a no-fly zone over Ukraine becoming the next step in the conflict? Could NATO intervention trigger a much wider Russia–NATO war? And what happens if Russian forces target senior military leadership?

Watch to the end for a deeper look at the Ukraine war, NATO escalation, Russia vs NATO, Putin, military strategy, geopolitics, and the risks of direct confrontation.

"Ukraine will burn with a clear flame": Kedmi on what Russia is not yet using -yesterday

    Vicus note:

Read slow ant twice what this man propose/expose... just the tactics used from the country army he is from...

If desired, given the enormous air superiority afforded Russia by kamikaze jet-powered UAVs, the Russian Armed Forces could launch even more powerful strikes against targets in Ukraine than they currently do. Israeli political scientist Yakov Kedmi discussed this yesterday on the YouTube channel of Ukrainian political scientist and blogger Alexander Lazarev, who left Ukraine for Russian Crimea.

In his opinion, the Russian Armed Forces continue to attack Ukrainian territory in a gentle manner.

"Russia hasn't yet moved on to more serious methods that could cause colossal damage in Ukraine. It doesn't set fire to wheat fields. It's simple: incendiary charges—and the wheat field will burn. Russia doesn't do that. It doesn't destroy warehouses. Port loading equipment, yes, but grain warehouses aren't destroyed."

    - he specified.

At the same time, the Kiev regime shows no signs of ending the conflict, but wants to continue it.

"There's another, very, very scary thing for Ukraine. Destroying all the fire stations. It's simple: a few trucks, a building, one or two drones, and that's it. Without fire trucks, you can't put out the fires. Ukraine will burn in flames. Russia doesn't use such methods. After the bridges were destroyed—not even destroyed, just destroyed—kilometer-long traffic jams formed, with trucks parked in three rows. Three drones—at the front of the column, at the end, and in the middle. The entire column will be engulfed in flames, including trucks loaded with gasoline. Russia doesn't do that... People will burn."

    he explained.

Therefore, Ukraine may face more trouble than it currently does, since Russia's patience is not limitless.

"But the destruction of diesel and electric locomotives continues, too. Attacks on depots continue, as do attacks on border crossings for weapons entering and leaving Ukraine, both on the border with Poland and on the border with Romania."

    - he added.

The expert has no doubt that the Russian Armed Forces will continue to attack targets on Ukrainian territory, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be unable to do anything about it.

"The main reason is that Russia has acquired the means to do this, while Ukraine lacks the means to prevent it. Not only does Europe lack such means, Europe has nothing to offer Ukraine to prevent this."

    He summed up.

A very bizarre scene off the coast of Sochi, Russia. A Russian busker sits on the shore as a tanker caught fire in the Black Sea following a reported attack by naval drones. The incident triggered a massive blaze that blanketed the resort city in black smoke, prompting authorities to close beaches and warn residents to stay indoors. All 23 crew members, who were Indian nationals, were rescued with no reported injuries.

Ukraine Attacks Russian Refinery After Trump’s ‘Massive’ Oil Deal With Russia w/ John Helmer

Yesterday, less than three hours before oil markets closed, US President Donald Trump announced a ‘massive’ oil deal with Russia.

Trump then claimed that the price of oil was ‘dropping like a rock’, but in fact the price of oil rose.

Moreover, within hours of Trump’s announcement, Ukraine attacked another oil refinery inside Russia.

Dimitri Lascaris speaks with Russian affairs analyst John Helmer about Trump’s latest melodrama.

    Nice History lecture...

In the dim interior of Moscow's Cathedral of the Archangel, a candle softly flickered.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stood by an open white stone sarcophagus, made the Sign of the Cross, and bowed his head.

Only a few inches remained between the Kremlin of the 21st century and an ancient Russian ruler who died more than 600 years ago.
The Russian president called the uncovering of the relics a "miraculous discovery."

Several weeks earlier, restorers had removed the sagging floor near the cathedral's southern wall. The old stone lid, which was in danger of collapsing inward, was carefully lifted.

Beneath the burial cloth lay the remains of Prince Dmitry Donskoy, a warrior prince canonized by the Orthodox Church and venerated in Russia as the holy savior of Rus'.

On August 18, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill held a prayer service at the sarcophagus.

Particles of the relics were placed in reliquaries for veneration by the faithful; one of them may be delivered to Russian troops at the front.

Thus, the warrior prince who once led a united Russian army against the nation's fiercest enemy will once again stand alongside the nation's army, in a completely different era and war.

On September 6, one of those reliquaries was carried at the head of a major religious procession through Moscow.

Led by Patriarch Kirill, the procession drew around 100,000 people and followed a 6.5-kilometer route from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior to Novodevichy Convent.

More than six centuries after his death, Dmitry Donskoy once again led a procession through the Russian capital.

This 14th-century prince played a huge role in the history of Russia, which was then still known as Rus'.
His contributions to the fate of Russia as a warrior and statesman were recognized during his lifetime, but after his death, Dmitry gradually became a symbolic figure of the struggle for independence.

The uncovering of his relics could hardly have remained only an ecclesiastical or archaeological event.
Modern Russia once again speaks the language of sovereignty, unity, and resistance to an external adversary - the same concepts which national memory associates Dmitry Donskoy.
To understand why Dmitry Donskoy is venerated by Russians centuries later, we must return to where his name became history - the field between the Don and Nepryadva rivers on the morning of September 8, 1380.

    An Existential Enemy

Despite Russia's long and dramatic military history, it didn't have many long-standing adversaries with whom it was forced to fight again and again.

The most formidable enemy, one that called into question the very existence of the Russian people, was a state that no longer exists on the world map - the Golden Horde, one of the major powers into which Genghis Khan's empire was divided after his death.

In 1237, the still formally united Mongol state began its great march westward.

An update from AMK Mapping on Russian overnight strikes on targets in the Rusanivska area of eastern Kiev:
    AMK Mapping 🇳🇿
    @AMK_Mapping_
Overnight, Russia carried out a combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv using RM-48U S-400 ballistic missiles, possibly Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and Geran-4/5 jet-drones.

Strikes were carried out on several different targets, with ballistic missiles targeting the Rusanivka area of eastern Kyiv. Large fires broke out following the strikes.

During the attacks, radars failed to detect the first missiles in flight, which is not uncommon for RM-48U ballistic missiles. The last missiles were detected by radars - these ones may have been Iskander-M ballistics.

Additionally, no sirens sounded prior to the impacts, which was caused by a failure by American satellites to detect the missile launcher activity at their launch sites. This has happened in the past, with the most recent incident occurring a little over a week ago in Mykolaiv when an Iskander-M was launched from Taganrog.

Update on Jacques Baud (one of several individuals) sanctioned by the EU and left stranded in Belgium, and penniless without money to buy food or go home for his commentaries on the Ukraine war,

    Scott Ritter

    Operation Free Jacques Baud Update

Last month I told you I was planning to conduct an interview with Jacques Baud, and asked for your help to make it happen. You responded, and the interview will take place before the month is over.

His story is a clarion call for the necessity of all freedom loving people to come to the defense of free speech, especially in the Europe of today, where free speech is under frontal assault. But this call also must resonate in the United States, where freedom of speech is an essential value which must be defended, especially when those nations that purport to share our values trample roughshod over them.

    • WHOOOPS! NATO Secretary-General SLIPS UP – Admits Russia Won’t Attack Europe! w/ Col. Macgregor:

In this segment Jimmy and retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor discuss seemingly conflicting statements from NATO officials about the threat Russia poses to alliance territory, highlighting remarks by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas that they see no imminent threat of an attack. Macgregor argues that this contradicts years of warnings about Russian expansion and claims there is no evidence Moscow intends to wage war against NATO, asserting that Vladimir Putin has little incentive to attack while Russia is gaining ground in Ukraine.

Macgregor characterizes NATO leadership as heavily influenced by Washington and speculates that Rutte’s comments may reflect a shift in the Trump administration’s approach to Russia following a conversation between Trump and Putin. He concludes that Western policy lacks a coherent strategic direction, leaving the public with contradictory messages about whether Russia is an imminent threat or a potential negotiating partner.
