In a recent interview with Mike Adams, Maria Zeee stated that she "conducted an investigation into these hyper-scale data centers and we found that, we actually took Erin Brockovich's map of all the data centers, including the community reported ones, and superimposed it on top of the Smart City map for several places... Texas, Virginia, Georgia, and we found the same sort of pattern which was a triangulation or edge computing around Smart Cities, and then the hyper-scales were all being placed largely in rural areas above important aquifers. So that is about draining the resources of the people. Whether the data centers need that much water or not, it doesn't matter. It's creating the illusion that they do, perhaps, draining the resources of those people that are left in rural areas and pushing them towards Smart Cities where they'll be able to, quote unquote, "survive." The whole thing is being orchestrated for this Agenda 2030." Clip located at 15:20. Considering how low many of the resevoirs and aquifers have become here in Amercia, it sounds entirely plausible.

In my view, John Stossel provides a down-to-earth look at AI and data centers. (Video: 6.3 minutes)

Good to get some balance in the conversation.

Better teachers and better nurses? I disagree. Both jobs require human connection and by delegating grading and evaluating tests, teachers and nurses become more removed from students and patients.

AI is a massive search and sort program combined with a LLM that mimics human communication. It hoovers up all information created by humans, including opinions, sorts and evaluates, and then gives answers in language dumbed down for average intelligence in humans. It is not infallible, it acquires harmful human characteristics like dominance and control and use of violence (will happily bomb any target), and it does not have consequences to consider. Where a system is designed to consider consequences of its actions, it has been programmed with the bias of creators (e.g. bombing a school full of children is good but misgendering someone is bad).

The irony is that we need a plethora of AI to counteract the risks of bias and faults in programming. (And I agree that it is a really bad idea to leave the development and running of AI in government hands, for many reasons, far beyond costs and profitability.) Have we gone too far though? In my opinion, there can never be enough books in the world even though most books published are rubbish, only good for pulping. Can we apply the same principles to data centres (those principles being my biases)?

Those data centres are large and have flat roofs. Why not mount solar panels on the roofs? And wind vanes on the corners of the buildings? Plug them into the local grid and you may see electricity prices coming down for the community, which would be a benefit, but beyond money, the data centre introduces a benefit that would not have been created without it.

Plants around a facility is definitely a good idea, but as pointed out in this conversation, some plants are invasive (you would be amazed at the extensive damage done around the world by such a simple mistake). Spekboom and lavender are two plants that would be suitable to grow, and both have commercial uses as well, so they can increase wealth for the local community

Since the intelligence of the people building and operating these facilities does not extend to healthy sustainable development (they seem to be driven by win at all costs ego), perhaps communities need to do this themselves?

The clip by Julian Dorey covers congressional staffers gathering in a bar and the growing influence of data centers in the capital. We look at the details behind these meetings to see how they fit into the broader landscape of modern governance.

By analyzing these specific situations, we provide a political analysis of how these groups interact. We also address the concerns regarding the extent of the current build and why these developments warrant closer scrutiny.

I'm not sure if this concerns data centers; it is about the related products. The actual centers so far represent trillions out in financing, for something with no visible profit (or product), and of course when inflation hits, those assets sink in value, troubling their owners.

I don't know the companies behind the software compared to the ones making the infrastructure, but the must be close.

Quote Eight US states have sued OpenAI, accusing its ChatGPT chatbot of encouraging self-harm and violence, including among children, and misleading the public about its safety.

The states allege that ChatGPT is designed to be excessively agreeable and engaging, gaining users’ trust while reinforcing delusions, encouraging dangerous behavior, and even helping plan mass shootings.

“OpenAI claims ChatGPT is safe while it’s giving dangerous medical advice, encouraging people to hurt others, and coaching people to commit suicide – all while pretending to be their fake friend,” Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird said.

Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho, and Montana filed separate lawsuits in state courts on Wednesday. The complaints accuse the company of violating consumer protection laws and creating a public nuisance.

The states seek financial penalties, damages, and changes to ChatGPT. They also want OpenAI barred from developing self-improving AI models unless it can demonstrate that those systems are aligned with human values.

Separately, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sent civil subpoenas to OpenAI and Anthropic on Wednesday seeking documents about safety incidents and possible consumer protection violations, Axios reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

The subpoenas reportedly exceed 50 pages each and cover security incidents, safeguards, marketing materials, and privacy policies. The regulator also plans to compel senior AI executives to testify. Neither the companies nor the FTC immediately responded to Reuters’ requests for comment.

OpenAI already faces numerous lawsuits alleging that ChatGPT contributed to suicides, delusions, and violence. Families affected by February’s Tumbler Ridge school shooting in Canada accuse the company of failing to alert police about the shooter’s violent conversations. OpenAI has acknowledged that it considered alerting police but ultimately did not do so before the attack.

Scrutiny has also intensified over AI agents acting outside their intended instructions. Anthropic recently disclosed that its models submitted a false homicide tip to police and incomplete visa applications, while OpenAI investigated its agents accessing outside systems without authorization during testing.

Are Data Centers Portals to Hell?
Live streaming Lecture 10/18/26 starting at 3 PM CST

    From: Gigi Young <news@gigiyoung.com>
    "Hello!

What is technology’s place in creation, and how does it connect us to the underworld? The controversy surrounding data centers opens a deeper discussion about the essential nature of technology and the forces through which it operates.

To understand its spiritual significance, we must first understand the three worlds of esotericism: the supernatural world, the natural world, and the sub natural world, also known as the underworld.

I will be giving a public lecture today to explore these three planes and technology’s relationship to them, examining how machines draw upon forces rooted beneath the natural world. From this foundation, we will consider data centers as a concentrated expression of humanity’s relationship with technology and the spiritual questions their development brings into focus.

Join me for an exploration of technology, the underworld, and the discernment needed to understand the forces shaping our civilization today (October 18th) at 3pm CT!
The livestream will be publicly available on YouTube, Rumble, and X. However, if you’re a Premium Member, I encourage you to watch directly from the livestream page on GigiYoung.com. This gives you access to our private member chat, where you can join the conversation and connect with other members throughout the stream."
