This is exactly the reason WE the people frowned so heavily on Nuke power. Man is infallible, and mother nature doesn't give a hoot for polluters. All those deep sea holes in the "ring of fire' offshore, will turn the already pressurized crust to crumbly moving matter, and release the volcanic molten lava to boil the seas.

I had always though if we had to use it, the containers which cost megabucks in a capitalistic cut corner economy, and the companies care not for the people so they cannot be in charge of the regulations.
But if we would have started a Global waste and salvage to remove and send the waste to a orbit of the sun, then it would burn up upon impact.
All those bright ideas during the 70's are still worth a look, otherwise, NO NUKES, still unsafe, and dangerously carcenogenic and dna damaging.

My home in Oregon might be in the path. I hope that all nuclear power plants will take all necessary measures to ensure their emergecy shut off and cooling systems work like they were designed. I personally don't want to breathe radioactive air. Our need for energy will continue and we can only hope it doesn't happen again. I feel much safer having said that...not. I could preach about the governments need to release free energy devices and change the way we do business... but I won't.

As to iodine, you can buy Betadine in any drugstore or the generic provodine iodine under the store lable.

IMPORTANT RE BETADINE OR PROVODINE IODINE DO NOT DRINK IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
BUT it can be safely uptaken by the body just by applying it to the skin - say your whole back or chest. Let it dry on and your body will do the rest. Its wonderful stuff for wounds too. I buy the brand name Betadine because I find it works better but they both work

With all of the natural (seemingly) devistation occuring from earthquakes and tsunamis,,, It may turn out that the worst damage is STILL done by mankind. ie, Exploding nuclear reactors. We can concievably clean up and rebuild from the storm. WE CAN'T CLEAN UP NUCLEAR RADIATION!!!

I thought they were getting it under control?
And i wouldn't worry about the fall out spread on Rense just yet as there are many variables. The wind could change any moment and blow in the opposite direction.

Rackmeister... Actually Crecent Bay got hit pretty hard,and without the advance warning,more lives could have been lost. The one life lost was a photographer that stayed too close to shore and got swept away. Everyone else moved inland.

A Nuclear Physicist was on television earlier today.
He stated the meer fact that the Japanese government was trying to cool the reactors using saltwater ,was an indication that the generators used to cool the reactors have failed. That alone, according to him is of concern.
He sounded surprised live on the air that saltwater was being used.
He went "OHHHH well, THAT'S not good"
I am not a fearmonger. And I try and read between the lines too. Just want to be cautious and prepared.

Potassium Iodide is the type of iodine used to protect the thyroid from radiation... as in Lugols iodine, SSKI, or potassium iodide tablets that you may be able to find in pharmacies.

Worse yet is that intentionally spread. Accidents at reactors are one thing.

Potassium iodide, aside from protecting from radiation for the thyroid, is a marvelous nutirent for the body, It can heal many conditions, and it and of itself has cured some cases of breast cancer. I would not be without it. It fully removed cysts from my thyroid. I have info on what it can do stored at www.healthsalon.org just type iodine in the search feature.
