yes they are...wasn't that an old chinese curse "May you live in interesting times"

Actually Viking, I've been tracking these earth changes very closely on my blog...which has been taking so much of my time I haven't had a lot of time to spend trolling or posting on PA lately. You should check it out here:
    http://ascendingstarseed.wordpress.com

There's over 700 posts archived since Oct 2009, due to a glitch in the program everything got dumped into "uncategorized" last week. I've managed to recategorize about 100 or so posts, but the best way to find info is using the search box on the left hand column....there's a little bit of everything there, but the focus is earth changes.

Drop me a line though comments if you make it over that way, there's some great stuff on earthquake predictions, japan collapsing and weird stuff going on in florida ...check it out.

    gotta grab some zzzzzz's,

    Quote Everett neighborhood is sinking
Posted on March 17, 2011 at 2:54 PM Updated today at 10:59 AM

EVERETT, Wash. -- People living in the Valley View neighborhood of southeast Everett are waiting and watching. A two story house on their block is tilted at a 20 degree angle and could collapse at any moment.

A crack in the earth that first appeared six weeks ago is now threatening about four homes. The City of Everett has "red tagged" the home on Burl which is collapsing. That means no one is allowed near the property.

Giant sinkhole in Florida grows even deeper

Quote March 23, 2011 – LITHIA, FL – The sides of the sinkhole that swallowed up part of the Southeast County Landfill in Lithia four months ago collapsed last night. The avalanche of dirt did not widen the gaping 129-foot crater, but did deepen it by about 10 feet, officials said. No one was injured and it is believed the dirt collapse was caused by the process that is aimed at filling the hole that is now estimated to be about 60 feet deep. “We anticipated some movement, some additional sloughing of sidewall as a result of the pressure grouting,” said Richard Siemering with HDR Engineering, which works with the Hillsborough County Solid Waste Department. He said the collapse delayed the process only a couple of hours until assessments could be made. The grout is forced into the ground to shore up the bottom of the hole, he said, and it exerts pressure in all directions, including up. That can cause the bottom of the hole to shift and that’s what caused the sides to fall in. It’s not unusual for this to happen, he said, and it could happen again. Michelle Van Dyke, spokeswoman for the county solid waste department, said engineering crews have been out there for two weeks conducting the first phase of remediation. That involves drilling diagonal shafts that reach under the bottom of the sinkhole and pumping grout there to stabilize the hole. But what exactly is beneath the dirt and debris that forms the “plug” at the bottom is unknown, she said. In any event, the stabilization process may have caused the sides to fall in, leaving vertical walls inside the crater.-TBO[/SIZE]

Huge sulfur dioxide plume streaming from Vanuatu volcano

Quote March 24, 2011 - VANUATU – On the tiny island of Tanna, Vanuatu in the South Pacific is one of the world’s most active volcanoes: Mt Yasur. As the NASA Aura satellite orbited overhead on (March 18, 2011), the Ozone Mapping Instrument detected a large sulfur dioxide plume being emitted from the volcano. OMI, though designed primarily for monitoring the ozone layer, is an important tool in monitoring volcanoes. NOAA’s Satellite Analysis Branch operates the Washington Volcanic Area Advisory Center (WVAAC) in conjunction with the National Weather Service to issue volcanic ash advisories and alerts. These advisories are critical for air quality monitoring, but even more so for diverting air traffic in the impacted areas. Volcanic ash, if ingested by jet engines can cause significant damage, and even loss of the aircraft. It is estimated that NOAA’s ash monitoring saves the aviation industry between $100 and 200 million per year. The Mt Yasur volcano is situated in the Wellington (New Zealand) VAAC, but NOAA SAB processes and monitors plumes from many volcanoes around the world who’s ash might enter the WVAAC airspace.- NOAA

    First North Pole ozone-hole forming?

Quote March 24, 2011 – ARCTIC – Spawned by strangely cold temperatures, “beautiful” clouds helped strip the Arctic atmosphere of most of its protective ozone this winter, new research shows. The resulting zone of low-ozone air could drift as far south as New York, according to experts who warn of increased skin-cancer risk. The stratosphere’s global blanket of ozone—about 12 miles (20 kilometers) above Earth—blocks most of the sun’s high-frequency ultraviolet (UV) rays from hitting Earth’s surface, largely preventing sunburn and skin cancer. But a continuing high-altitude freeze over the Arctic may have already reduced ozone to half its normal concentrations—and “an end is not in sight,” said research leader Markus Rex, a physicist for the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Bremerhaven, Germany. Preliminary data from 30 ozone-monitoring stations throughout the Arctic show the degree of ozone loss was larger this winter than ever before, Rex said. Before spring is out, “we may even get the first Arctic ozone hole … which would make it into coming history books,” he said. “It’s too early to call, but stay tuned.” Atmospheric chemist Simone Tilmes, who wasn’t part of the study, agreed. “We do not know at the moment how large the ozone hole in the Arctic will grow, because the thinning of the ozone layer is happening right now,” said Tilmes, of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado.-NGC
Kilauea volcano lava threatens fragile rainforest

Quote March 24, 2011 – HONOLULU – A wildfire touched off by the eruption of the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island has spread and burned some 2,000 acres of national park land, threatening a fragile, protected rain forest, authorities said on Wednesday. Authorities are not sure when the fire might be contained, said Gary Wuchner, a spokesman for the National Park Service. The flames were being fanned by “strong gusty trade winds,” the park service said. Firefighters were dropping buckets of water on its hot spots from helicopters, it said. “Approximately 2,000 acres have burned, and there is no estimated containment date,” it said in a statement. The wildfire was caused by lava from the March 5 eruption of the volcano’s Kamoamoa fissure, and it is burning about seven miles southeast of the Kilauea Visitor Center, located on the volcano’s east rift in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Firefighters are hoping to protect a lowland rain forest on the east rift that is home to endangered Hawaiian bats, happyface spiders, carnivorous caterpillars and Hawaiian honeycreepers, all found only in Hawaii, it said. Kilauea is one of five volcanoes that formed the Big Island, officially known as the island of Hawaii. Periodic eruptions of the volcano have destroyed 213 homes since the volcano emerged from a period of dormancy in 1983. -MNN
Freak Alaskan tidal waves freeze 32 musk oxen in their tracks

Quote March 23, 2011 – ANCHORAGE, Alaska — At least 32 musk oxen were found frozen in the ice on the northern coast of Alaska’s Seward Peninsula, killed in the aftermath of a tidal surge and flooding from a winter storm blowing in off the Chukchi Sea, the National Park Service said Tuesday. Researchers found the frozen animals March 15 while flying over the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve to track at least four of the animals, which had been outfitted with radio collars. “Basically, the radio collars led us to the dead animals,” National Park Service spokesman John Quinley said. Officials planned to fly over the area again Tuesday to determine the fate of another 23 animals in the herd. It wasn’t immediately clear if any of those were fitted with collars. “We didn’t see any carcasses, but we didn’t see them walking around,” he said. The remainder of the herd could be buried deeper in the snow. If so, the bodies wouldn’t be visible until spring. It’s believed the animals died Feb. 25 when a winter storm created a tidal surge and coastal flooding that inundated lowlands. –The Washington Post National

California: 2nd massive landslide reported in Scotts Valley

Quote March 23, 2011 – Scotts Valley, CA – About 25 homes in unincorporated Santa Cruz, near Scotts Valley, are affected by a landslide of shale and mud. Residents of 26 homes in an unincorporated area of the county are in their second day of being stranded from the outside world after a landslide on Monday afternoon blocked the only road to their homes. According to Scotts Valley Fire District Cpt. Mike Pasquini, the slide, which occurred near Scotts Valley on Nelson Road at Sky Meadow Lane, does not present any immediate danger to residents. “The homes are affected in the sense that they have no access,” Pasquini said. Santa Cruz County sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Clarke said that the landslide began around 10 a.m., with rocks falling for hours until the road was closed around 2 p.m. ”The road is completely closed — it’s impassable by car or foot,” Clarke said.-Scott Valley Patch

They keep spraying chemtrails to block our sunny days 85% of the time in VA. I know about April showers but c'mon. Everytime there is a break in the clouds to clear the sky, some plane drags a long silver trail vertically, and the trail spreads out like clouds with lots of wind in em. E.L.E NIN Extinction LEvel Nine, is coming in 10 days and the last couple of nights the winds in South Richmond, have been howling. I haven't heard wind like that here before. So strong it sounds like it's whistling and a train tracky feeling.
Then Nibiru in June/July and by the end of the year so close you can see it without binoculars. This will last for 7-10 months and if there are any survivors, here comes Hercolus big as our Sun.

Rescuers are struggling to reach thousands of survivors in remote areas of Burma after an earthquake tore up roads and reduced hundreds of homes to rubble, leaving 75 people dead.

The powerful 6.8-magnitude quake struck in the east of the country near the borders with Thailand and Laos late on Thursday and was felt as far away as Hanoi.

The towns of Tarlay, Mong Lin and Tachileik in Burma's Shan state appeared to have been most severely affected by the quake, which flattened hundreds of houses and toppled monasteries and government buildings.

Huge seismic burst jolts the Pacific?

Quote March 25, 2011 – JAPAN – Did something just jolt the planet? We’re seeing a strong seismic burst of energy on global seismometers that is concentrated most strongly in the Pacific. This doesn’t fit the pattern of a tremor but looks more like a sudden powerful release of seismic energy or a plate nudge. It’s anomalous because no quakes have followed which adds to the mystery. The area of greatest density is in the Pacific region though weaker spectral patterns also show up on graphs much further from the Ring of Fire. Is this a prelude to more intense geological upheaval from Japan? Below are some of the seismograph reading of the unusual event which just registered. -The Extinction Protocol

Thousands of fish found dead in Florida lake

    Posted on March 25, 2011
Quote March 25, 2011 - ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — Dozens of dead fish have risen to the surface at a lake in Hanna Park. The floating fish have produced a foul smell and an eerie site. “I’ve seen a couple of people biking around, but as soon as they get to this area, they turn right back around,” visitor Heather Lenier said. The sight and smell is enough to keep people away from the lake. Scientists said an outbreak of golden algae is responsible for the death of thousands of fish. The algae is producing a toxic chemical. When fish come in contact with the tainted water, their blood cells literally explode. “Those cells that carry oxygen are being ruptured,” biologist Dana Morton said. “Oxygen is not getting to the fish, and the fish look like they are suffocating, which they really are.” Morton said that as harmful as the algae is for fish, it is harmless for humans. In 14 years of testing the water in the lake, scientists said they have never documented golden algae. In fact, it’s more commonly seen in the lakes and ponds of Texas than Florida. Scientists said the lethal plant has been present for years at the lake in very small amounts. “All species have different conditions under which they bloom and go crazy,” Morton said. –News4 Jax

Infectious disease expert warns of dangers of gram-negative super-bug

    Posted on March 25, 2011
Quote March 25, 2011 – LOS ANGELES — A deadly drug-resistant bacteria is spreading to more patients in nursing and long-term care facilities in Los Angeles County, according to local health officials. KNX 1070′s John Brooks reports a study conducted by the Department of Public Health has found over 350 cases throughout the county, primarily in elderly patients. Dr. Brad Spellberg, an infectious disease expert at Harbor UCLA Medical Center says there is no current teatment for CRKP bacteria — and there might not be any in the future either. “There’s been a complete collapse in the development of new antibiotics over the last decade…and in the next decade there isn’t going to be anything that becomes available that’s going to be able to treat these bacteria,” said Spellberg. Medical expert Dr. David Baron of Primary Caring in Malibu cautions hospital visitors that there’s no need to panic, but advises people visiting their loved ones to examine the standards of the intensive care units. -CBS

Massive dust storm disrupts life in Kuwait
    Posted on March 26, 2011

Quote March 26, 2011 – KUWAIT - A massive dust storm made its way into Kuwait, causing much disturbance to normal life. Mobile networks were jammed, and heavy traffic resulted because of poor visibility that plunged to almost zero. Flights too were disrupted and the airport was shut down. While incoming flights were directed to other nearby airports, outgoing flights were cancelled. The dust storm is travelling from Iraq to Iran and into the Persian Gulf. The storm spans more than 100 kilometers and is very thick. –Daijiworld
Bug swarms near Australia’s Gold Coast mystify scientists
    Posted on March 26, 2011

Quote March 26, 2011 – AUSTRALIA - Ken Tomkins, 61, was hospitalized after skidding his bicycle into a mound of dead bugs and shattering his hip, collarbone and ribs, the Gold Coast Bulletin reports. Tomkins said he noticed the slick as he rode along The Esplanade at Surfers Paradise, but initially thought it was water or leaves. He will be bedridden for six weeks after hitting the bugs, which were piled to the edge of the road by a council street sweeper, at about 25kph. The water beetle invasion is a never-before-seen phenomenon that has stumped local scientists. The incident was captured on amateur YouTube footage showing the large black beetles swarming around lights and dropping to the footpath in Surfers Paradise. Entomologist Professor Clyde Wild from Queensland’s Griffith University said he had no definitive explanation for why the beetles had turned up in such large numbers at the beach side holiday hot spot. “I’ve never seen swarms of these like this before, why they are at the beach front escapes any explanation I can think of,” Wild said. ”You might see two or three on any given night – this is literally thousands.” –Herald Sun

Cost of world disasters tripled in 2010

I WONDER WHAT THE COST WILL BE IN 2011 !!! IF WE GET THAT FAR...

If nature doesent collapse...the system surely will...

    AFP

The global cost of natural and man-made disasters more than tripled in 2010 to $US218 billion ($A213.12 billion), reinsurer Swiss Re said, with the human toll the highest for decades.

Swiss Re's chief economist Thomas Hess said 2010 was not only characterised by severe earthquakes that "ranked among the deadliest, costliest and most powerful in history" but also by "a series of extreme weather events, such as major floods".

Such "severe catastrophes" claimed 304,000 lives last year, the highest level since 1976, compared with 15,000 in 2009, the report on Tuesday added.
    Advertisement: Story continues below

These disasters cost the global insurance industry over $US43 billion in 2010, up by more than 60 per cent from the previous year.

Earthquake losses - in particular those in Chile and New Zealand - accounted for almost one-third of all disaster losses in 2010, and high claims from seismic activity are expected to continue in 2011.

"Incidentally, earthquake losses for 2011 will also be above average as the total insured claims for the February 22 earthquake in Christchurch are estimated to be between $US6 billion and $US12 billion," said the reinsurer.

"The massive earthquake that struck Sendai on March 11 is also expected to trigger significant insured losses."

Swiss Re estimated last week that Japan's earthquake and tsunami had cost the company some $US1.2 billion, but warned that this figure could be revised upwards.

"Although no long-term trend of increasing global earthquake activity has emerged, the number of fatalities and insured losses from earthquakes are on the rise," said Balz Grollimumd, who co-authored Swiss Re's study on disasters.

"The main reasons are population growth, the higher number of people living in urban areas as well as rising wealth and rapidly increasing exposures. Many of these rapidly growing urban areas are located in seismically active areas," he noted.

More than 222,000 people were killed in Haiti's earthquake, the deadliest disaster in 2010.

The $US218 billion worldwide economic losses from natural and man-made catastrophes last year compared with $US68 billion incurred in 2009, Swiss Re said.

It seems that the situation in Japan is still fluid. These two video show water splashing up from continuously forming fissures along the landscape in Japan. Why isn't any official organization saying anything about this ?

Exactly ! Looking at this thread, it should boggle the mind and amaze averyone as to what is going on in the world. But the majority of the population just goes about there lives as if nothing is happening ! It seems that a few decades of fluoride in the water, chemicals in the food and an endless supply of television has taken it's toll. I stopped drinking tap water and stopped watching TV and starting growing my own vegetables about 3 years ago, that's about the time when I began to feel like an outsider looking in.
    Blessings,

I've been thinking about the earhquakes and the reason for them. As it seems there is more earhquakes nowadays. As I believe that everything on the earth plays it's role and are existing for a reason and contributes to the whole. Now, gas and oil has developed under a very long time, forming depots under the ground. these depots might have the role of shock absorbants between the plateaus and maybe a lubricating role as well (oil), as oil and gas are existing under very high preassure under the ground. So these compressed depots might make the movements of the continental plateaus more smooth and calm and keep the plateaus more "floaty", wich might have helped the planet to develope to a more stable place, resulting in great diversity of biotopes to not to mention the many islands in the oceans with their endemic flora and fauna.

So, if so: we have pumped out loads of oil and gas, making all those movements more abrupt and all together the earth a more unstable place. Let say, frequently occuring tsunamis would in a short time whipe out all old lifeforms from an say, island located somewhere in the ocean. I cant se the purpose for oil and gas to be there, just for us to burn it up.

Just a thought, I don't know much or anything about geology but just reasoning out of logic or what makes sense to me...

Someone with more knoledge might have an other point of view, anyone?

Yes Pagan oil and other deposits are part of the earth engine.
In all ages, in all lands, there have been those who seek truth. This seeking is an individual's search for something more than self, and much more than the confines of this worldly system. It is the seeker, who understands there is more than what meets the eye, who is not afraid and makes the choice to go into the unknown. The process of awaking has begun, the discovery is underway.
