US eyes base in state's Outback

AMERICAN military hardware and personnel are to be permanently located in Australia.

Defence Minister Stephen Smith in Washington yesterday revealed he was keen to cement formal links so the US could:

POSITION military equipment on Australian soil including at Woomera in the state's Far North.

HAVE greater access to Australian training and test ranges, such as Shoalwater Bay in Queensland and Woomera.

REGULARLY use Australian bases and ports.

"The strategic focus of our discussions with the United States is to the north of Australia, and to the strategically important arc running from the Indian Ocean through to the Asia Pacific region," Mr Smith told the Brookings Institution.

"The discussions include making sure we are postured to be able to respond in a timely and effective way to a range of contingencies that may arise in our region, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

"That would mean pre-positioning supplies, equipment and navy platforms to be closer to where natural disasters may occur."

Mr Smith was in Washington for high-level discussions with new US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta.

In addition to bases, the pair discussed worrying delays to the massive Joint Strike Fighter program and ways the US could assist Australia to develop its next generation of conventional submarines.

"Part of this planning is to talk to our friends and partners who have significant expertise in designing, building and operating submarines," Mr Smith said.

"Part of this planning is also making sure that our future submarine, its combat systems and capabilities, is interoperable with US forces so we can continue to work together to meet security challenges into the future."

Australia's troubled Collins-class submarines operate in tandem with US nuclear boats and the future subs will be designed to work even more closely with the American fleet.

Mr Smith will have raised eyebrows in Beijing with his admission Australia is the "southern tier" of America's strategic interest. "A point not so often made is how Australia's strategic value to the US is changing. The balance of geopolitics is shifting and Australia is at the southern tier of that central dynamic," he said.

China in the past has accused Australia of being the southern pincer of the American crab.

Seems in my view, that the US are positioning their assets ever more closely around China to prepare for conflict. Natural disaster and humanitarian assistance would be secondary in this move.

They already had their go didn't they with Rome and Britain. They've stripped the manufacturing and culture from the UK and US and flooded them with hostiles from overseas. All the manufacturing is now in India and China so I'm thinking they'll be moving their HQ there and letting the US and UK rot.

No lol. Let's take Miami as an example. America goes to Haiti and turns the country in to a war zone, then lets the angry youth who've only ever known war to move to Miami where they meet yet more hostility. The end result is gang subculture. If the system collapses and the police are no more, who do you think is going to take over the country?

Add that to the erosion of existing communities. There is no community anymore. You have sections belonging to each 'group' and noone knows who anyone else is. Back in say, the 1940's, the local community would be strong enough to protect itself but now they're not.

If employee wants to move to another job, it's 2 weeks notice, I believe, if a tenant want to move out it's one month, I think, how about if the government wants to move out? how many days notice will they give?

Question, having just read the Pane Andov thread re a red giant sun, (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...899#post272899 ) and then following the sugested link, he states one of the only known safe zones is in Australia in a triangular area where there is underground water and a lot of opal mines (these absorb Gamma rays).......would this new base be located anywhere near this area in Australia (as i have seen the opal centre Coober Pedy and Woomera are linked by the A87)??? if so the implications would be clear

All of the groups like that will. Gangs, criminals, ex-soliders, released prisoners. Any group that has a bond 'above' or 'outside' of society along with the knowledge and propensity for using force. Which is how things used to be. Clans, outlaws etc.
One disturbing fact is that in areas that have had major collapse, after civil wars or natural disasters where there wasn't some form of government to step in, the most violent and feral group were children. They were the ones that first resorted to canibalism and random violence. I think what we need to remember is that civilisation is something we learn. The natural state is protection of self then protection of your core support group. Family or Klansmen. Kids haven't learnt it yet and will return to a feral state far quicker than people who are older and have learnt the value of civilisation and working together. William Golding explored it in Lord of the Flies and you see it in movies like Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

If you look at the culture of kids today, war based computer games/gangsta rap, it's them we should be worried about. How many of you could kill a group of feral children to protect yourself and your family? Not many of us could do it and if we did it'd mess us up for the rest of our lives. TPTB know this which is why I think they've been pushing so much violence in the media for years now. It's also why gangs, rebel armies and 'terrorists' recruit children. Our soldiers just don't want to shoot them and if they do they'll probably go mad with guilt.

Darla has the answer here. The power of intent. David Icke talks about us "combing the mirror". This is when we try to fix things by doing somethng physical such as free energy or punishing the so called "TPTB". The answer is that we should group meditate and focus intent to recreate our reality. Thats the answer. Lets not try and win by being better at the hand controller, lets reprogram the software.
