This is truly discriminating! Women are NEVER allowed to fart in public. To fart freely as you wish is a sign of POWER. I've been farting for several months now (luckily they don't smell) and of course i would wish it to stop since it's not just for fun...

It feels weird, definitely, being talked about.
Even in a positive way.
You guys are the sweetest people I have ever encountered.
Most people think I'm totally crazy.
Talking about astrology or religion, UFOs and quantum physics is something I have had to give up in my circles.

I feel lucky if I can converse art cinema with my son, though.
Dan_33 has been contributing great conversation starters
on my profile page.
It's all been a lesson, however, in how alienation (alien nation) can lead to the discovery of the true self.
Which is ultimately the best friend we can have.

I need the Village to help me.
Let's see if this works.
As you know, since coming to Barbados in October I have hardly posted due to an Internet problem at my apartment.
Then this last week, while cat sitting at my son's house, I have had high speed Internet and been able to visit the village
just like I do when I'm at home in Costa Rica.

In about an hour from now the family are returning and I have to go back to my apartment
with the connection problem...
The defective modem is upstairs in my landlady's house.
Since she only uses her computer for e-mails the slow connection doesn't bother her.
Yet I would like her to get a new modem.
I don't want to move out of there, as I'm otherwise really happy ...I have a great deal, rent wise..great location, etc.
The only thing that is bumming me is the slow Internet. I can hardly watch a Youtube even at 240 without it constantly cutting out.
I'd love to know what our collective good wishes can do to bring about a happy resolution.
Right now other than repeating yet again that I think her modem is too old, there is little else I can do.
So lets have a demo of mind over matter.
Please, please?

Got the best available sat wireless feed for our laptop available ... better than nothing but honestly really sucked.

Did not watch a single vid the whole time. Made a few posts and added a few "thank yous" ...

I feel your pain after being spoiled here (with net connection yet at the bottom of the barrel regarding other human "rights").

So ... how much is a new modem? Maybe it would be worth it to you to pay for a new modem for her or get your own modem ...

To get my own modem I would need my own account, and that is a bit costly since I'm not here all the time.
But I could offer to go 50/50 on a new modem, if I can just get her to agree that it is a problem.
I know she has it within her to get a new one. Maybe if the current one packs up altogether first....
I'm back now, and so far no crashed. I'll keep you updated.

That is so touching, Calz, and also comforting to know there are kids growing up today with really caring, loving fathers.
I can't wait for my son to pack the boys onto a plane and bring them to Costa Rica.
They are being raised bilingually as the other grandmother is Venezuelan married to a Barbadian...an unusual match.
Barbados s totally English speaking, normally.
As fate would have it these little island boys are already being prepared for a life in an eco village in the mountains of Costa Rica.
Same as all the other villagers here, whom I would advise to learn Spanish...
