I know the feeling. i can't live in the city.

Apartment buildings.. I just start shaking thinking about it.

I'd be stuck walking into everyone's dreams. the entire building. Like kids that won't shut up and stop bouncing on the furniture, painting on the walls, etc.

I'd probably teach them to shut up. But they'd likely still drive me nuts. I might blow a gasket for a second and cause one of them serious (real) grief.

I live out of town on a private road. I'm lucky to have found the house to rent.

Workplaces? my mother is a teacher, my aunt is a teacher, my brother has been a teacher, and well.... in my case and in theirs..before we are done, the entire building syncs on us. Everyone lean to the left! we have no specific leadership presence. it just happens that way. Oh yes. My sister. the same.

Maybe living in the tower with that wood stove is a lot cozier than the tent with those
snow-laden oak tree branding hanging over it...
Nah. It's just my DNA shifting into a higher vibration. Thanks for noticing.

Are you trying to get a free massage???

I miss my tent, only 5 months and a week left.
How did you guess? I'm always trying to get a free massage, anywhere, any time.
There is a poor woman in the village near us in Costa Rica, who lives in a really humble little house. She is a cancer survivor, and to get her operation everyone in the village collected money to help her pay for it, including us. That was five years ago.
Then one of the doctors she met at the hospital financed her to become a physiotherapist, they were doing special courses at the University of Costa Rica for uneducated rural people to get this training.
Anyway, just before leaving Costa Rica I asked her to give me one of her massages, and lo and behold...she was incredible.
Then my husband was next...he has had a bursitis in his left shoulder since months ago, and she got rid of it for him.
She always wanted to be a massage therapist.
Now we have installed her at a half price rent in our medical center...just charging her $125 a month in rent...and she was so grateful that we gave her that opportunity that she offered us both a free massage ...not sure yet if once or twice a month.
    Hehe.
My landlady here in Barbados gives me a deal too, not cheap, at $50, when normally she charges $80.
She does the stars, carries a bed into their mansions. She even massaged Oprah.

Not sure if I understand this post. I do understand the part about not wanting to live in an apartment building...can totally relate.
But that last part, Carmody, what mean ???

P.S. Ok I get it...lean to left, as in socialist?

I've never had a massage. No idea what it is like.

the last time i recall consciously doing something really important, was this. I'm not fond of linking such things as one must think of the families and those who remain behind. I will remove this link shortly. I got her out of that horror, as it happened. She was on the way to her daughter's. it was her birthday, IIRC. Her life was getting great... and then, this thing, from behind. thus the aspect that causes problems, in some cases.

I love the story about that woman, especially how good she is.

Just for giggles, I have massaged Monica Lewinsky and her mother, Alec Baldwin's mother, Eric Douglas, Kirk's son, now deceased. That might be it. 50 dollars is a good deal, Ulli. I like people coming to me. Easier to be the boss. I would have it no other way. I occasionally do house calls, charge dearly for some, reasonable for friends. Never really feels right because the environment is usually not as well tweaked as I provide. The energy, and nurturing atmosphere, escapes many people. I also have exquisite control of my climate so that the person is neither too hot or cold. This is an overlooked point by many, including people who have you to their homes. Money and consciousness can be strange bedfellows.

I edited my original reply.....a habit of mine. My German side wants to continue the run on sentence. So it does.

I would spend time, sitting up high....upper stratosphere, whatever.....and wait. And then....an accident on exit, someone could not get away clean. And if one feels the call to do something, if they can....well... should they? And, if one can do something....should they stand by and do nothing?

    My motto:

    If not You, then Who?
    If not Now, then When?

It is simple things like these that make life magical rather than mediocre.
It doesn't even require a high IQ, just common sense and an all-round awareness and attention to detail.
Money and pricing is all about knowing one's worth,
which is the drum I am beating here at the village.
    YOU ALL ARE WORTH IT!!!!
Once people know deep inside that they don't want to rip anyone off...
To integrate the spiritual and the material successfully means that all neurosis dissolves,
and one has reached the banks of the land of sanity.

I've never had a massage. No idea what it is like.

the last time i recall consciously doing something really important, was this. I'm not fond of linking such things as one must think of the families and those who remain behind. I may remove this link shortly.
What was it you did that was important?
I edited my original reply.....a habit of mine. My German side wants to continue the run on sentence. So it does.

I would spend time, sitting up high....upper stratosphere, whatever.....and wait. And then....an accident on exit, someone could not get away clean. And if one feels the call to do something, if they can....well... should they? And, if one can do something....should they stand by and do nothing?

    My motto:

    If not You, then Who?
    If not Now, then When?
Good motto, and rising to the occasion, or in that case, diving to the occasion, would be the obvious thing to do.

About politeness, and withholding questions, I had just faced that choice when I thought would it be rude to ask Carmody to clarify the lawnmower story?
I already knew what he meant, but got a strong tweak to ask him anyway, as others might want to be relieved of their puzzlement.

I do like your new picture. Much softer around the edges than the earlier ones....

Money and pricing is all about knowing one's worth,
which is the drum I am beating here at the village.

Hello Cottage Rose...I see you are visiting the Village...nice to see you.
Did you get anything of value from the various responses to your question re. Chiron?
    There were quite a few.
And I still want to read more of those articles I bookmarked.

I have a book on Chiron around here somewhere that I bought a month or so back.
Maybe a desk clean up is in order.
But yes, it was a subject on my list to research so thanks everyone for the
    reminder.

Interesting day so far, I'm getting triggered a fair bit by childhood memories.
just then in the shower i was transported back to a 5 year old, under some
duress. Water seems to do that to me, it has a habit of transcending me
forward or backwards in time. Also great for creative brainstorming.

The ole' monkey inside relaxes when washing, as well. In most cases. thus the consciousness gets a clear window, for a short time.

Many a great innovative or inventive moment has occurred while the person involved was sitting on the throne. Or in the shower, etc. moments of bodily distraction, or peace. Thus the value of meditation.

The trick, I find, is to recognize the murmur in the brain that is trying to form the words. the emotions rustling about, trying to awaken the Input/output systems. If we shut them down, right down to the brain stem, then the whole body goes silent.

Then we get into those moments that you, Astrid, have been getting. where the mind is conscious and the body is asleep. some mistakenly call this a problem, in these threads about the body being held down or whatnot. This is the best thing that can happen and it is to be encouraged, not feared.

Usually at least once a day, in normal acts of dozing off, I have my capacity to feel my body parts disappear, to go silent, no connection to them...while my mind is fully conscious and awake. I've done it so often that it is something I can get to in minutes. I can even sit there, move my head around, talk to you..and not feel my arms, or legs, etc.

    Another thought struck me:
while most normal villages have what's termed 'the village idiot', the Village has a Village Genius.
    Probably more than one.
But none rank anywhere near our Carmody.
