And I'm eating those thin German/danish spice cookies, the ones that are about half way to a gingersnap. yum! German soul food.
    Do you mean Spekulatius?

They are actually of Dutch origin: speculaas

There are several interpretations for the origins of the name Speculaas. It may derive from Latin speculum, which means mirror, and refer to the fact that the images are cut as a mirrored bas-relief into a wooden stamp which is then used to decorate the Speculaas. Another explanation of the name refers to the Latin word speculator which, among other meanings, could also refer to a bishop or St Nicholas' epithet "he who sees everything". Specerij the Dutch word for spice is another possible origin.

They are trays yummy!!!!! With so many wonderful spices, they MUST be good for one

Huge winds blowing through the Alps. Had a bad/short night.....

Was thinking a lot about why people stay together. My folks (Dad a Sag/mom a Capi) have been married 53 years!
Was not always rosy and they do bicker a lot in their aging years, but for the most part they are still "friends", who enjoy each others company.

yes, exactly that cookie. My mother was born in Flensburg. Almost danish.....

I thought she was born in hamburg, but no, she was born in Flensburg. My grandmother walked out of wreckage the firestorms of hamburg, as the war ended. heavily pregnant. she said they hit a fork in the road and half the people leaving went east(ish) and half went west(ish) Those who went the wrong way were all killed by the Russians - About 50% of the people who walked out of the wreckage of Hamburg. The rest made it to places like flensburg.

It was there, in the third story of a mostly deserted house, that she gave birth to my mother, as the bells wrung for the first time, on the first strike, to signify the end of the war. May 5th, 1945, 8:15am. The REAL end of the war, when the interim government announced to the city of flensburg that..the given moment and time (and the record of the time) was the official notification and the end of the war itself.

Donitz was in control of the German government and he made the announcement formally at that exact time.

Fast forward to the year 2000, may the 5th (5th month, 5th day) exactly, to the hour, the grand cardinal cross in the heavens, was complete. This tells you that this time and date I speak of, that was 55 years, 5 months and 5 days earlier..was indeed the real and true moment in time that signified the end of the war in Europe. As stated, also my mother's birth moment.

OK, the power did not ripple or cut out when I said that. Power lines cross through all areas, so when you produce a temporal ripple/shift in your immediate vicinity, usually you get a power outage or ripple. You get a literal continuity issue occurring.

for example, when we had the whole Charles thing going on, those of us who were asked to vet it, had a private area to chat and speak. well, in that area, I spoke of my er, origins-clearly and plainly. The moment I hit the key to send that, the ripple or shift was big enough that the power to my house tried to go out three times in rapid sequence.

Wow, thats some history! How far is that book you're writing?

Its such a pity that my generation learnt so little of our parents history due to their pain......

Only in recent years have we heard little smatterings:- my dad was on the run almost all the war years (he was born 1931). His father had gone before to look for work, and mother with 5 kids followed, walking from Poland to Germany.

Trivia. The other traditional German Christmas treats (aside from Spekulatius of course) are: Lebkuchen and Christstollen.

    Love those cookies too Carmody,
a Dutch photographer friend of mine introduced me to them once.
I always had a lot of European friends that taught me alot about
food and cooking. I love that about Australia, we are such a melting
pot here. I don't understand nationalism myself, we are all from
    somewhere else.
I remember once in science class, we were
learning about stars and supernovas, how all the elements are
made in stars. I said cool, so we are all from the stars.
My teacher just looked at me as though i was weird.

One's familial legacies can reach out and find one, regardless. If I told you what happened in my life, up to the age of 5, it might cost me my life. I did get a dimensional traveler or tulpa(ish) individual (physical manifestation of remote viewing, possibly) on the property today. They came close, I come close (to speaking) and.... that's about it....

Perhaps now is not the time for more ripples.

Yes, take risks, when you are appropriately "armed"

Wanted to share this pic I took on my recent visit to South Africa.

Like my son, you have the sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Gemini.
That is quite a set of coincidences there.

Taking the risk of moving to South Africa as soon as he finished his studies in Berlin, against the advice of all his college buddies, saved the life of Fritz Perls.
All the others died in the Holocaust...having chosen "safety".
He went on to give the world Gestalt therapy.

    Great quote JB.

Had squash soup and an avocado for dinner. I've cut all meats out of my diet. I'm a type O blood. Any suggestions from the villagers who have been on vegetarian or raw foods diet? I know that type Os are suppose to eat meat but I naturally just stopped pretty much. Felt a lot of heaviness and almost couldn't stand the site of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Love

    Nora
I am a type O and have been thriving as a vegetarian for 21 years now. I am hale and hearty. Healthy as a horse or any other animal that almost never gets sick. How about a mutt dog? They don't know what sick is.LOL

The doctor who wrote the blood type book has recanted her thesis. I could have told her she was full of sh!t. Here reasoning was that O's were the oldest blood type. Nice left brained BS IMO.

In closing, diet is personal and emotional. Whatever you eat, think nutrition and make sure you love what you eat. Penance or 'politically correct' eating will 'poison' whatever you eat. Don't forget to bless and charge your food either!
I agree, Modwiz... food is personal and emotional and we can affect the nutrition and vibration of the food with our intent.

Remember, as you prepare food, to keep your thoughts as loving as you can, because this becomes part of the food as you work with it.

Wow, now Marianne can never cook another meal without thinking of Tita and Pedro and their love and their new way of communicatig.
Nor can she ever tell the Village about her dishes without the Villagers thinking the same.

...OK, the power did not ripple or cut out when I said that.

Funny you mentioned the power thing.

I take my granddaughter and a friend of hers to school every morning...they have to walk in the dark and cold (this morning the temp was 4 degrees F), so I prefer to drive them and spend at least a few extra minutes with my granddaughter. This morning my alarm did not go off. Woke up, checked the alarm clock and it read 8:34pm...in actuality it was 6:34am and I should have been at her home at that time. Figured we had a power hit, but my clock was the only one in the house that was affected.

Got home, put the coffee on to brew...the coffee maker kept shutting off and on. Turned on the computer...it would go black screen and shut off. Did I mention that the street lights would go out as I drove past them this morning?

I almost always remember my dreams...but not last night. Went to sleep, woke up, no dreams. Connection?

Am I making something out of nothing but a few coincidences? It's just been strange. I've had these kinds of things happen with electricity a few times...I used to say that computers and such would see me coming and have a nervous breakdown! But today it's not stopping so far.
