You are right- Iowa and New Hampshire are not indicative of who the nominee will be. They can give a candidate a boost (as Iowa has just done for Santorum) and trims the field down. South Carolina and Florida are the important primaries.

Modwiz- can I assume you will not be voting for Santorum???

Ah, jackovesk- I love your enthusiasm. Don't we all wish that the "R's" and "D's" would fizzle out and someone with a different perspective would be elected? I can't share your belief in the outcome of the election, however. Here is the sad fact- the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries did not determine the nominee, but in the last four or five elections, the candiate who won South Carolina and Florida, won the nomination. So, watch the results of those two primaries, to get a better handle on who the Republican nominee most likely will be.

Yes I know. But it's a question of principle.
If a dare a comparison, Vaclav Havel who certainly was a brave man couldn't turn his country in a land of integrity and even ended up his 13 years or so presidential mandate with a 40% low public support.
But at least he made his best (I guess).
BTW, it is with integrity at the highest levels that breakthrough technologies such as E-cat "cold fusion" technologies can make a headway and probably much more.

The way I see it, IF Ron Paul really is the good guy that he seems he is, he will find himself alone locked in an office packed with wolves.

If his so called supporters really supported him, he would not have to become president to dismantle the FEDs or to call into questions the constitutionality of certain laws! Where are his supporters now?! Taking photos of him and posting "tweets" ?

And where are you at now? Somewhere in Bucharest, in front of your computer, "tweeting" on Project Avalon? Seems real easy working the world's problems out in your head, sitting in your comfy computer chair. Looks like it's just as easy calling into question the initiative of others. i don't think ron paul is naive, he knows that if he was elected by a overwhelming grass roots movement within the populace, the powers that be would move quickly to completely DE-stableize the US economy

i assume he is doing his best to communicate with the network of white hats within the current government edifice so that he has allies in place to help him remove the cancer if that time comes.

unless you want to completely destabilize society, the existing political/legal frame work is the only way to create real change. the system will not change its agenda just because its policies are unpopular, they must be forced to do as such, hopefully that force is through the legal framework of the legislative process and not through full scale revolution.

in saying this, i think he has zero chance in getting elected.

Ilie, I understand your reasoning because that is how things use to work, but I would like to think that is the way of the old paradigm and now the highly charged electrons that are coming into our solar system are opening up new ways of thinking, doing and being. I encourage you to at least consider other possibilities.

I do believe that most importantly a Ron Paul victory would represent a more awake American population. It would stop the war that's going to happen with Iran. He will try to implement positive changes and the people will have opportunities to learn from so his work can be continued. We can stop wars, we can stop environmental damage and we can increase prosperity. However I doubt now is the time to start it in America as people are still caught in the left right paradigm and the fear of their party loosing and the fear of terrorism instead of having a belief in peace. Paul wont win now but his ideas will in the form of another candidate in the future.
