    Memories.

My father had a box of cigars. He does not smoke neither I (i was thirteen). So we put the cigar(very big cigar) in the vacuum cleaner's tube. I've never seen a faster smoking. The Habana or Montecristo became red from the beginning to the middle. The problem was that the machine sucked the cigar right into his "belly" and then we have to face a problem. ha..

Best wishes to Ernie and Nora.

...and i don't know what happens to Modwiz..... The Picture of Dorian Grey?
I have been slowly coming back into focus. Glad you noticed my playful work there.

I love a good cigar. Love them! Don't get one very often, but when I do, it is down to the last little stub. I love chewing on them too. Nice and sloppy.
I love a good cigar, too, but rarely smoke any. Mainly because Cubans are still very difficult to come by, are expensive, and, for some reason unbeknownst to me, are the only cigars that I enjoy. But when I do come across one, as you said Modwiz, I will chew on it for a good long time, and then smoke it down until it threatens to burn my fingers.

...And then my wife avoids me until the succulent, IMHO, aroma dissipates. C'est la vie.

And Dan, that's a hilarious anecdote. My wife has a Dyson vacuum cleaner and I can only imagine that thing sucking down a cigar!
Cubans are so delicious and their cigars are great too. On the subject of cigars, I am reminded that I massaged Monica Lewinsky. If I ever see Bubba I'll have to ask him how that worked out. Dry cigars are nasty.

Irish stout, empty on my desk, I am sitting here after midnight in Sweden, after viewing replies to Bill Ryan´s thread on past lives, followed by a wade through the cut and thrust of comments about Bill Wood asking for a dollar. Goodness me, the atmosphere here has heated remarkably. It was minus 20 outside before I started reading, now it is minus 4.

Thanks for the link. They have a Shaman cigar. Almost bought some but I was not in the mood to fill out a registration form at this time. Cigar destiny and a catchy name are sure to get me to sign up and get some of those babies here. Just wish I knew of they were chemical free. That is certainly one of the things that makes the Cubans so mellow. Their leaf is the other.

I had a very interesting 'aha' come to me as I was getting into bed. It was about checkmate and chess and why we will win the game. Some of the controllers, even the seriously insane ones, have considerable intellects. The kind of intellects some chess masters have. What chance do we have in a chess game against such minds? One thing is scale and variability, but that was not my 'aha'. My 'aha' was based on rules of the game changing with the most significant rule being that pawns no longer accept their limited roles. They no longer accept being able to move only one space or piece at a time. Capture is catch as catch can and not on a diagonal only. Finally, some pawns will act as knights or bishops and maybe even as queens. This, is what the chess masters cannot account for or strategize against. One color switching to the other is also a factor. There is a far better game than chess to win at and most of humanity is beginning to see that.

The village is as usual, calm, peaceful and funny. I am grateful to have found you in the midst of Avalon. Many of you have transformed before my eyes since yesterday, becoming kittens, waves, angels, turning the world upside down... and sideways. I am tempted to change my avatar also, but I like the Lemurian priestess. I will stay the same for a while, at least until you get to recognize me walking through the village.

Today was a nice day, we had a bit of snow, a nice change from the icy rain we’ve been having lately. I’m getting ready for my 6 month leave from work – only 8 work days to go!!! My colleagues are very curious, saying that I’m lucky (which I am), courageous (or crazy) and all want to know what I will be doing.... I will be taking time for myself, for my healing, I will spend time outdoors and talk to the trees, the birds, the rocks, I will meditate, I will travel without leaving home, I will try to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. Life…

The spouse of a good friend of mine has passed. I got the e-mail today. I did not know her much. When I saw them this past summer I knew she was not going to make it. I wish I would have been wrong. The funeral is on Saturday.

I got another e-mail, from my best friend – my root sister. She was cancelling a dinner we had planned tomorrow. She had a biopsy on a lump in her breast recently, which she kept secret. The breast clinic called her today to give her an appointment tomorrow. She is quite worried about it. She will call me tomorrow to give me news.

Then another e-mail, this time from the “solidarity market” (?) – a cooperative from which members buy directly from the farmers/producers. I won a $10.00 rebate from an organic vineyard. They have a fabulously nice red wine. Life is good after all...

Here’s a song from a Quebec group of musicians back in the 70’s, called Harmonium. I've had this song in my head since the weekend. Please excuse my French…

Neptune is coming, I can feel it. Of course, it is in a position right now in my Chart, where it is firing up lots of other 'vibrations'.

Another thing is how 'normal' I have come to understand the idea of always having my body shut off while napping. to be conscious all the way through the given nap time period, but to have most or all of my body shut off/down, regarding 'conscious' connectivity. so much so now, that I can be actually reading on the net and close my eyes for a few minutes.... then go back to reading consciously....and still not be able to feel my arms or legs, etc. (which i had disconnected from for those few minutes of closed eyes.

The price is that months of 'real time' can go by...and I barely notice.

    Welcome, Samsara.

Was doing a last check of the Village doings before preparing for bed, and noticed part of your signature...om mani padme hum. Compassion. It has become my mantra over the past few years and has brought much peace amid the winds that blow through life.
