    MMmmm, ice cream...my weakness.

The heat is back for another three day visit. Maybe I'll pull out our old hand crank ice cream maker and invite the grandkids over for homemade ice cream...the adults, too...they can help crank.

Love this thread! I haven't made homemade ice cream in years. What a treat! I'll make extra for y'all.

    Good day villagers,

It is 1:18 AM here and I just got out of bed.
Have been practising Astral travel again and had my first glimpse of success.

I'm reading the books of William Buhlman and he suggests to give the command to be 'out of body' for as long as is needed, just in the moments that you feel yourself drifting of to sleep.
Of course this is easier said then done, because giving the command itself causes me to be awake and not drifting of to sleep.
Anyway.... After about 1 hour or so, I fell asleep (which isn't supposed to be happening when you succeed in an attempt for astral travel), but I woke up from it after a short time. Waking up... I became aware of my astral body. It or 'I' was semi-attached to my 3D body and sitting up straight in the bed. only attached with the lower part and legs to the 3D body.
So... I didn't know what to do then... I sort of became aware that I couldn't see and that awareness seemed to pull me back into my 3D body.
    That was it.
    so cool

Now I'm ride awake and unable to sleep, loaded with energy.
    Don't know why.

    love you all!

@ Dedukshyn... that picture of Innis & Gunn almost makes me regretting the decision to give up alcohol.... almost!

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but it sort of fits into "here and now" -at least in a couple of hours.

Kerry Cassidy will be interviewing George Kavassilas tonight at 7 pm Pacific Time (10 Eastern).
    It will be on www.freedomslips.com

I'm not that familiar with George K. but have seen one of his videos, and it should be interesting.

The Celestine Prophecy has been popping up a lot lately. Me and my daughter were talking about it the other day, then, cleaning up a cabinet I came across the DVD, thinking I should watch it again soon. Now I come to the Village and there it is again. So... going to watch it now.

I astral traveled a bit as a kid, but didn't have a clue what the hell was happening -- I referred to them as "funny dreams".

My childhood technique was, just before falling asleep, feel that your are spinning forward or backwards like a summer-sault, - not just imagine it but create and focus on that feeling when you do a slow summer sault after haven't doing it for years - like butterflies? Does that make sense? Focus on that feeling and the spin, and occasionally I'd launch out of my body - unfortunately at an extreme rate of speed - which was often disorienting - but still worth it.

I have been trying on and off again for years and just can't quite get there - I can vibrate "next" to my body on an ethereal level, but that "leaving" just doesn't seem to work for me .... I'll keep trying though ;-)

And ya, Innis and Gunn is a good beer - one of the best brewers I think. But don't give up your abstinence -- people usually do that for a reason, and I'm eventually going to cut beer out of my diet as well ..

Funny too, I was just thinking the other month of some quality reading material to get my 14 yr old into - the Celestine Prophecies came to mind, He'd surely love that - and it is a nice enough read anyone can relate. I lost my copy though so I'll be scouring the used bookstores I think - always good places to find reading material - I got "The Door of Everything" just randomly at a book sale -- I love that book ;-)

Another great old movie, "Quartermass and the Pit", about some things we're familiar with. This movie came out in the late 1960s and the themes are ancient astronauts, genetic engineering of humanity, thought imagery thru video, the energetic power of fear. Enjoy!
    ]
We just watched this movie last night. I commented that the writers must have been slipped some inside info at the time (which is not unusual, since the film industry has often been used to pass on bits of disclosure).
Quite right. But what makes me suspicious now is how come this movie is on your mind as well as Rahkyt's all on the same day?
Telepathy between you two would be the most acceptable explanation, but what if some third party is using you as guinea pigs without your consent? ok, I'll dismiss that thought.

    Wonderful Dedukshyn,

Kids always have a natural way of doing these things don't they?
Sorry to hear that you lost the hang of it.

Have you read the books of the guy that I mentioned?
His method seems to work for a lot of people and is easy to do. Maybe you can pick it up again.

I can remember a few dreams in my life in which I suddenly woke up fully, with the understanding that I was awake in a dream. That was so nice. Like suddenly entering an amusement Park. I have done some flying at will while in that state.
Now I just want the real deal.. entering the astral planes, experience and find out the truth of who we are.

I haven't had a good "lucid" dream in a few years (in the real definition lucid = "fully awake"), but ya flying is awesome in a dream - or running on water, I've done that a lot as well, but it has been a while I'll check out the book you mentioned, I've only read one book on astral travel and it was more of the traveler's experiences as opposed to technique, Thanks!

As I have mentioned recently, synchronicites have been almost non-stop. Today, well . .. what a day it's been in that regard, especially between Mazie and meself! She's always had what I call TV siddhis. Since she's chair-bound a lot, she has the tv on. Almost always now, we'll be talking about something, no matter how obscure, and immediately the tv will present something that directly echoes the converstion. Lately, we'll say something, and the tv character or commercial or announcer will repeat the same word or phrase, and almost simultaneously, with a split-second delay. It cracks us up, but who would believe us, so we don't talk much about, but agree that there's a big Comedian lurking behind the scenes, amusing themselves to no end! LOL!

    I believe you.
Once when I had a dificult decision to make re flying to Pittsburgh or not, on that same day the Spanish subtitles on HBO were stuck for more than three hours on...get this.." vas a ir a Pittsburgh en el vuelo 997 a las 8:00 am".
You will be on flight 997 to Pittsburgh at 8:00am in the morning. This stuff used to happen a lot, but recently only the usual 1:11, 11:11, which has been going on since 1980.

we're linking up! (poor choice of words) ... I've been feeling this extremely strongly in the past few weeks -- like I don't really have words to convey - it seems ... very global.

I found a dead bird in my garden this morning. I heard a very strange sound early this morning and never did work out what it was but the bird had a wound on its back, and a few of the local cats like to hang out in my garden, so I am guessing that a cat got him.

    Bad cats!
As much as I love cats...the fact that they go after little birdies getting their flying lessons is most upsetting.
How many Hummingbirds have I saved, wresting them of my cats' mouths.
It makes my day to set one of them free.
    Tell them off.

If they ignore you, tell them that you know about big cat, and that you KNOW that they can understand you.

My wife did that to a neighbours cat which refused to drop a small lizard on the first request feigning incomprehension.

Then she hit it with a lecture about how she knew about Big Cat and I know that big cat tells you what I mean, and the cat looked at her with that Uh-Oh "I've been rumbled" expression, dropped the lizard as originally requested then, instead of continuing to look sheepish, it simply decided to forget the whole thing and came over for strokes and cuddles.

Mmmm cold beer on a hot summer day, (or warm for this neck of the woods)!
Sorry, BC, but you will need to explain that picture a bit more to me.
Because no matter how I try to look at it, that bird is about to drop a pill into your beer.
    Please correct me.

My version of the an Aesop's Fable

Instead of the Crow and Pitcher it is the Crow and Beer Mug

A Crow, half-dead with thirst, came upon a Mug which had once been full of beer; but when the Crow put its beak into the mouth of the Mug he found that only very little beer was left in it, and that he could not reach far enough down to get at it. He tried, and he tried, but at last had to give up in despair. Then a thought came to him, and he took a pebble and dropped it into the Mug. Then he took another pebble and dropped it into the Mug. So on and so on. At last, at last, he saw the beer mount up near him, and after casting in a few more pebbles he was able to quench his thirst and save his life.

Little by little does the trick.

By a thirsty crow... (No pills in this crows beer)

Haha sounds like my cat ... always comprehended .. but feigned "i'm just a cat!" way too much. I could actually give him commands and if he was in the mood he'd carry them out. Even would fetch stuff -- but I've been seeing more and more cats do that these days ... we had to put him down a few months ago, just got too old .. RIP scooter. Best cat I ever had. <wipes tear>

Today i took my dogs over to my new place for the first time,
They were SOOOOOO HAPPY, my new back yard was like
a trip to the park for them.

Louis was just beside himself with glee.
