Yes, I absolutely believe fear is the game being played but I also believe in the shift. My problem is perhaps with the scary nature of the shift that many are trying to convey.

Although I do believe that this video in the OP is sincere, I do not know if the source is genuinely benevolent aliens or some other source. Hope this cross threading is not off topic and irrelevant to the discussion, as I don't think it is.

I'm not buying this one.

Firstly, can anyone find anything else on this guy? I cannot with only minimal research so far. OK, he has a google plus page, but that is not evidence enough - I could make one for Santa Claus right now, if I wanted.

Secondly, he is a bit dramatic in his presentation. "[Microwaves from the sun scorching the earth is nonsense, but these Van Allen belt particles...]" Claiming that most conspiracy theories are nonsense is ridiculous here. He worked for NASA, right?!

Thirdly, how come the newest thing to be 'afraid-of' is always pushed just a couple of years in front of the present day? 2 years ago it was 11/11/11, last year (and earlier) it was 12/21/2012, this year it's 2016... and so on. If this information has been around for 16 years (ok - it's only absolutely confirmed as of 3/23 of last year, but still,) why are we just now hearing about it? This is the type of thing that has a potential for MASSIVE leakage. It feels to me that someone would have brought this to the table by now. Members of our alternative community have a knack for jumping all over things like this and bringing them to light immediately.

Fourthly, receiving messages from ET is nothing new. Does anyone remember this? -

But he is clever. The man in the video (whoever he is! ) is no dimwit. Why would he have willingly given more than enough information for good researchers to verify his credentials?

By saying that if he were clever he would have tried to conceal his identity, I meant that by making his such a public statement, that he probably would lose access to his primary source of information.

Also, it wasn't that he willingly gave credential information, which you are right, he should do, but it was the way that he dwelled on it for so long it seemed offish to me...outside of how most people generally behave. To me, it made me suspect that he was abusing his credentials by delivering a possibly untrue message. That is just me making assumptions based on generalities, he may be different, especially since being a NASA mathematician in and of itself would make him somewhat extraordinary. But I just got a not-right dishonest feeling from subtle things that he did and said.

He doesn't seem too emotional about the subject and he covers it up with some face mimics. His intonation follows the same, repeating pattern, like he's reciting a poem. The speech is well prepared, there are almost no pauses and there's no reaching to memories on his side that i can notice.

Scientists with quite a few years of work behind them also tend to think automatically in scientific language and it's rather hard for them to avoid using it. The speaker seemed more like an educated layman to me.

That being said, the message itself may contain some truth, who knows.

Question, if this is true and NASA received this information, why send a ship to Mars?

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of different programs, projects and departments, which are heavily compartmentalized and keep secrets not only from us but from each other.

For example, there certainly exists a secret space program utilizing very advanced technology -- but very few people, (if any!) even in NASA will know about it.

If coded signals were received by a project within SARA, and the decision was made to keep it all under wraps, most of the people in SARA itself would not know. Most in NASA would not know. Obama and many of his political advisors may not know. Only those very senior in military intelligence are likely to be in the loop -- while key preparations are made and critical decisions are evaluated.

Having said that, I'm still concerned with the 331 day delay (would we really sit tight and wait 331 days before asking our next question?) -- and with how a workable protocol for sophisticated communications was established given that there could (apparently) only have been between 10 and 20 opportunities for two-way message exchange.

That's not a lot of communication when not only do you have to understand very complex messages, but prior to that establish and agree a language based on math and coded sequences that's rich enough for there to be no room for error when discussing the end of civilization(!).

As you probably know 331 is a masonic code.

If you were told you truth or came cross the truth would you recognize it? It is mainly conjecture on this thread, fact and evidence is what is needed to have a solid base. There has been so many stories, leaks etc, that it is a confusion of fact, fiction and half truths and guess work. Forget about opinions, beliefs, get the facts, get a proof or a paper trail at least to start with.

I think I figured out what they do. They always come up with something new and people buy it like a fish eating a worm on a hook. I think it makes scence to say that if any of these conspiracys were true that a real reporter would eventually get it out through some main stream media. Im not talking about some blogger who thinks he has it all figured out and comes up with some dillusional story. Im talking about a real reporter, if any of this was true they would get it out to the main stream. After all, not all main stream is controlled by the "illuminati".

The inner Van Allen radiation belt, the one closest to the surface of earth, has mostly alpha radiation (protons.) Dr. Sal says as much in the above video.

However when I look up what sort of shielding is required to protect my body from alpha radiation, I read that a single sheet of paper is sufficient. Even my skin is sufficient, so long as I don't breath in alpha emitting radioactively decaying material into my lungs or ingest it into my digestive tract.

This suggests to me that if the inner Van Allen radiation belt descends to earth's surface (Northern Lights -- everywhere! ?), it's not a serious risk so long as one can stay in doors and has food and water for the, say, two months he expected this to be at its worst. That seems doable, on an individual basis. What might not be so doable is getting most of humanity through this, or feeding us all after it is over, if all we have left to eat is what we can grow from stored seeds on barren ground.

I would have guessed further however that our atmosphere would protect us and even outdoor plants and animals would mostly survive, except perhaps those at very high elevations or those already of rather marginal health.

In sum, I'm suspending judgment on this for three reasons:

• were we told this by knowledgeable aliens communicating to NASA,
• will earth's magnetic poles rapidly flip causing the Van Allen radiation belts descend to earth's surface, and
• would that really be an extinction level event.

Some reasonably knowledgeable in astrophysics and the biological affects of alpha radiation should reasonably be able to answer at least my third reason.

Hi Paul, I thought the Van Allen belt was one of the main reasons that astronauts have to have a lead shielded compartment on their space crafts? I would have thought that if their skin was enough to protect them, that NASA could save a few quid!

I don't think the radiation would be our biggest problem either. The alleged NASA scientist states that 70-80% of the plant life on Earth will be killed off, including all life that lives near the surface of the oceans. Much of the Earth's breathable oxygen (in fact half) is produced by the Plankton (which lives right at the surface) so with no, or very little, Oxygen being produced, and no Co2 being removed from the atmosphere, mankind will have a very tough time.

I would think that any sufficiently advanced civilization, could quite easily model these kind of Earth changes, which after all, are regular and cyclical in nature, especially if they are observing from a vantage point of having millions, perhaps hundreds of millions of years of Earth change data from our planet.

I was thinking that exact same thing MorningSong, how the 'tether' incident made much more sense to me now (if this NASA info is true) the official explanation for the Tether mission never made much sense to me, perhaps it was a trail run to see if the tech was viable.

ps I don't believe that the objects seen surrounding the 'tether' footage were spacecraft either, but that's for another thread.

331 earth days is a paradoxical number to have. The prime number is a smoke screen to hide the fact that anything in whole earth days makes no sense whatsoever. This is like Maurice Cotterell’s number-crunching on sunspot cycles. All very impressive, to x decimal places, but the two basic sun cycles used (polar and equatorial) were exact earth days (26 and 37): very, very round numbers, and terrocentric to boot. Why on earth (pun intended) would the sun be working to terran schedules, as opposed to say operating to Jupiter time or Saturn chronology???

But Cotterell was dealing with cycles of only a few thousand years. Here we are being asked to believe that a one-in-fifteen-million-years event is going to hit us next Tuesday or as near as dammit. How very convenient.

Many scientists are not all they are cracked up to be – mostly by their peers. In fact they are sometimes just cracked up, period. This guy quotes Richard Dawkins, author of ‘The God Illusion’, a grave mistake in my view, and the next thing he is saying is his own version of that selfsame god illusion, in spades. He cannot have it both ways. A minimum of basic logic might have given him a bit more credibility.

Incidentally, by all accounts, Ursa Major is not a very pleasant neck of the woods for these messages to be coming from. You even read that what we see as stars up there are not stars at all but something artificial. But you don’t even want to go there (pun intended). Even their near polar location is not neutral. It would be a very handy place to be for example to trigger a planetary wobble or a magnetic pole shift in the “war on Terra” (not my pun).

Interestingly, Ursa Major in Mayan astronomy/mythology is Seven Macaw, which in John Major Jenkins reading is dislodged from its perch as a focus of attention in favour of the galactic centre. This is a rendering of the visual effect of the constellation tipping round the pole star every day, and through the precessional cycle as well.

On the radio interview Drunvalo said that the Mayans predict a magnetic pole shift first but in February 2016 a physical pole shift will happen.
