Destination location for today, take your pick! Worldly or off worldly?

Up at the ass-crack of dawn, 4:15! I guess it is not even dawn, more like pre ass-crack of dawn. I am a morning person for sure.

Been warm and dry here, I am loving it. I have been able to paint and actually have the paint dry. Mixing paint, primer, and plaster of Paris for a chalk paint. Gives a matt durable finish to wood furniture. Fun stuff!

Off to one estate sale this morning and then to a vintage market that we hope to set up at next month, just to check it out to see if it is something we want to do.

All of you, have a great weekend!!
Thank you, BC and you have a "Revel & Fancy" time, too.

Hi Samsara, it's clear you are a lightworker. Zoot, Zoot, Zoot, Zoot.

Well, I have survived my first week back at work. Can't say it was all easy, but I'm getting back into my role there as best that I can. What's been brewing is the same old, bunch of women together cat-scratching each other in a useless fight. So sad. Turns out that the three women that took turns replacing me (more $ for them), have been soooo mean to each other and a very tensed climate has taken root in the team. What a change from my peaceful days enjoying my time off. Anyway, I have been teaching them to zoot, zoot, zoot, love to each other. First time I mentioned it, I got the blank stare back... what is she talking about ? But they know me.. hehe. Pretty soon, I'll have the whole team zooting to one another. If I'm going to spend my days there, might as well make it useful.
This is what I'm talking about. I've seen this video earlier this year and it stuck to me. I love the ears...

Today's my daughter's 35th birthday. I don't know how she got that old, while I stayed so young. What a wonderful, beautiful, fantastic young woman she has become. Her being in this life with me is such a gift.

    So much Love...

This is an awe inspiring picture and a thought provoking one as well. At least for me. I remember pictures from our so-called Moon landings, with the Earth in the background, a colorful cloud dotted blue marble. Based on how the Moon looks from Earth, especially in this picture, shouldn't the Earth dominate the Lunar sky? Our planet is many times larger than the Moon.

Ok, Carmody, I'd be glad for your take on this one.
It does definitely dominate the lunar sky. the trick where the moon seems larger than normal when at the horizon, is a trick of atmospheric lensing. It's associated with the same trick that creates mirages. (Earth atmosphere)

There is also a diameter vs distance issue. If you have a cue ball or pool ball about 6 feet (2M) from your eyes and then reduce the distance by 50% to 3 feet (1M), the size difference, to your eye size and perception, does not seem all that great. Now, if you do the same distance trick with a spherical device, about 50% bigger, the differences in perception, are not all that great.

It's when you close the distances from your eye and it's associated size..down to about 1 foot (30cm) and then cut the distance in half to 6 inches (15cm), then you get a greater perceived change in sizes, or how much of an arc (across your view) the perceived object covers. Now go the same trick with the pool ball and then the ball that is 1.5 times wider, and the perception will be that the 50% larger item is changing more in perceived arc of size or view obscured than the pool ball. The math is fine, it is our perceptive basis, that is an issue.

The thing about the moon vs the earth size is the same, the relationship of size in the sky is not the same or linear 'seeming' to our perception, due to distances involved.

thus, if the moon vs earth distances was lets say, 30% of what it is now.... the eye and it's perception and also the mechanics of the issue, would change in their numerical relationship, in this seeming non linear manner. the earth, from the moon, would appear to be near a 2x diameter as compared to the moon seen from the earth. Our perception would 'seem' to us to be more correct.... according to the raw numbers of the size differential between the two celestial objects (at that reduced distance differential). The other thing, is that the image of the moon and it's size is falsified. that has to be a photoshop effort.
    Not photoshop.
The moon looks a little bit larger near the horizon than when it is overhead, but not significantly, like on this photo.

It's to do with the lens of the camera.
The kind the paparazzi's use to get a close-up of the stars.
Have a look at the pictures of the moon on this website...seen through different lenses.

Found this tidbit of Osho conversation just now and found it rather interesting and thought provoking.

Q: If our evolution is interconnected and humanity is one body, why do
you stress individuality more than universality?

Osho: Yes, we are part of each other. Not only is humanity one,
existence is one. This oneness can be felt on two levels: one is in deep
unconsciousness and another is in superconsciousness. Either you have to
become a tree; then you are one with the whole. Or you have to become a
Buddha; then you are one with the whole. Between the two you cannot be
one with the whole. Consciousness is individual, unconsciousness is
universal; superconscious is universal, consciousness is individual....

Why do people feel so happy in a crowd? Why does happiness in a crowd
become so infectious? Because in a crowd they fall down, they become
unconscious. They lose their individuality, they merge their
individuality. By dropping their consciousness they drop their
individuality. Then they are happy, then there is no worry, then there
    is no responsibility....

That’s why I say don’t become a member of a group. Otherwise you will be
as low as the lowest member. Become individuals. In a group you will
always fall to the lowest denominator. It is natural, it is very
scientific. If you are walking with a group of one hundred people, the
slowest person will decide the speed. Because the slowest person cannot
move faster, he has his limitations. And if the group has to remain a
group, the group has to move with the slowest. The faster person can
slow down, but the slower person cannot become fast; he has his limitations.

The group is always ruled by the stupid person. The stupid cannot become
intelligent, but the intelligent can relapse easily and become stupid.
And of course, stupid people tend to make groups because alone they
cannot rely on themselves. They are afraid, they don’t have any
intelligence. They know that alone they will be lost. They tend to make
groups, crowds. So whenever a church exists, whenever a sect exists,
ninety-nine percent of it consists of fools. It has to be so. They
decide policies of religion, politics and everything.

Beware of this mobocracy and be alert. Because in you also there are
moments, stupid moments, when you would like to relax. Then you are not
responsible, then there is no worry. Then you can always throw the
responsibility on the group. You can always say, “What can I do? I am
walking with the group, and the group is slow, so I am slow. The lowest
    member is deciding everything.”

If you really want to grow, be alone. If you really want to be free, be
responsible. Hence I insist on individuality.

    Hi All...Happy Holy Saturday : )
Prompted to share a post made on another site I visit...rather timely happenings here and now.
If You go to Walsch's site "The Holy Experience" is a free download and is simply a refresher for You Here and Nowers...but it was right on time with my now happenings brushing through the reading...also "Part of the Change" is a good one too. I think You'll enjoy them even if You had read Neal Donald Walsch's work before.
    Love! Love! Love!

    ...
Hi ****...and am in full agreement with "something weird (and wonderful) is going on" and the "on" button is shining brighter each day now!

Thank You for sharing Your personal now happenings and bringing the link here...I am reading "The Holy Experience" from that site and there are things that have just occurred with me that are in mind blowing rhythm with happenings of and pertinent points made by Mr. Walsch.

We are helping to change the whole now, now---immensely...by the upgrade of our awareness and thoughts and selfless actions as never before, being non-gathering givers...it is as though there is a new divine electricity connecting us all and kicking into a higher gear that is mystically magic : )

A few weeks ago, he was not feeling too good, so went to the vet. We have since found out that he has spleen cancer. Nothing much can be done. We have been giving him Reiki treatments and he is being fed differently, so he became a bit more lively. We all know what is coming though. Today, he is not feeling that good. Please send loving energies their way, so that when the time comes, things go as smoothly as it can. It will also be my grandson's first real experience of death, and I know that is one hard lesson to learn.

Ah, one of those senior moments . . . well, at least I was in the ball park with the dog site.

Anyway, certainly sympathize with Samsara's family (Amos our black lab is pushing 12 yrs), and sending our intent for a smoth transition, realizing that any separation is temporary. Mazie has lost quite a few beloved canine friends in the course of her life, and so is expecting a kennel's worth to greet her when she crosses over.

    Blessings!

I love that one too, Thanks!

I was about 3 yrs old, and after some trial and error, taught myself how to use my parents' record player. This was one of my first favorites -- it pierced my little heart for some reason -- and so I played it over and over again, waltzing around the room, until I had worn the vinyl out.

When I was older, I took ballroom dancing classes for about 11 years, and certainly love to waltz!

That one is beautiful too, with a bit of a melancholy tone to it. very beautiful!

I never found the courage to take ballroom dancing classes, caring so much about what other people might think of me and it was not a 'cool' think to do back then
I never understood what it was in some tunes that made me love them so much, until a friend of mine pointed me out (laughing) that every time I heard a music with 3/4 (tripletime?) I started to feel happy.

You posted a picture with your grapes, that were good for harvest about 50 pages ago...
    ours are finally ripening too
We have a conservatory where the vine grow from the outside in. a neighbour told us that the vines are at least 100 years old. At one time, there were some realy old guys, standing at our door, demanding to visit these old vines, making all sorts of remarks about them to one another in French which I could not then understand, but I could see that they were impressed with them.
But the grapes are very sour though.
Must figure out how to fertilise them properly some time.

This is something I want to do this year, get an Austrian Scythe

This is a nice video showing one in action (with nice music).

Zen out for a couple of minutes ...

I used to watch my dad do that when I was a kid. Video brought tears...I guess I've been overstressed these last couple of days. Overworked, and also caught a tummy bug yesterday...
Reducing my small Barbados household into a suitcase and a piece of carry on luggage while distributing the rest...
the happiest recipient was the 76-year old gardener of my son's in-laws.
And I've been so careful about not accumulating clutter for the last three years.

Still haven't sold the car, but later this morning some people are coming back to take her for a test drive.
Crossed fingers. They all want auomatic gear these days, sigh....
