    Ulli, I remember seeing my dad use a scythe too.
    Putting a bright spotlight on that car!
    And seeing you wrapped in steely gossamer wings for a good, speedy trip home.

    >sigh< If Calz were around I'd post a music video just to get him going.

    Peace to the village,
    JB

    Found this tidbit of Osho conversation just now and found it rather interesting and thought provoking.

    The group is always ruled by the stupid person. The stupid cannot become
    intelligent, but the intelligent can relapse easily and become stupid.
    And of course, stupid people tend to make groups because alone they
    cannot rely on themselves. They are afraid, they don’t have any
    intelligence. They know that alone they will be lost. They tend to make
    groups, crowds. So whenever a church exists, whenever a sect exists,
    ninety-nine percent of it consists of fools. It has to be so. They
    decide policies of religion, politics and everything.
    Hmmm . . . sounds just like the groups he created, especially in Oregon.
    I think the word "manifested" fits better here than "created".
    My reasoning behind making such a distinction is that creativity is more of a conscious act,
    with control of a situation.
    Osho's loss of control once he arrived in the US was pretty evident.
    Four planets in Sagittarius...hence the ultimate liberal finds his true self or lack thereof in foreign lands.
    What happened to him is so typical of the workings of the parts of the subconscious mind that were never resolved or integrated. He was a ferocious reader who didn't walk his talk.
    I only really started paying a bit of attention to him several years after his death, and found that there was as much to learn from his contradictions as from his discourses.

    Interesting statement, Astrid.
    Must be geographical ....
    Could Aussies be considered outsiders, in their collective consciousness?
    Because only when slightly distanced from the center can one have detachment...
    To see irony is then an added bonus.

    Heading to the Cape to visit the Kids and Grandkids...and will probably bring Purdy Girl, my favorite labradoodle, back with me for a week visit,
    wooohooooo!

    Ulli...while I was reading through Walsch's writings that I linked to in previous post I lost count of how many times he expressed the importance and wonder of 'here and now' in his books ... Love, Love, Love!!!

    Emily woke me up to go out, and I was wide awake for a little while.

    Here's a bump for Samsara's video from a couple of pages back:

    Zoot-zoot-zoot to everyone this SUNday morning!

    While we were on vacation recently, and staying with friends, I was drinking coffee early one morning on the back deck. While admiring their handywork in creating a nice tropical area complete with a fish pond, I noticed something rather amusing,(I almost spit my coffee out) and just had to get a picture. Especially being that they are fairly strict christians.

    Can you spot it?

    We have a conservatory where the vine grow from the outside in. a neighbour told us that the vines are at least 100 years old. At one time, there were some realy old guys, standing at our door, demanding to visit these old vines, making all sorts of remarks about them to one another in French which I could not then understand, but I could see that they were impressed with them.
    But the grapes are very sour though.
    Must figure out how to fertilise them properly some time.

    What a lovely property!

    The grapes look like pinot noir, btw. In any case, to raise the sugar levels, leave them on the vine until just before the first frost.

    I found Rajneesh to be a good example of the fact that even grand and cosmic experiences are rarely truly transformative, especially (as you note) at the subconscious level. Ramana Maharshi points out that, "even though one practises Kevala Nirvikalpa Samadhi for years together, if one has not rooted out the vasanas [subconscious karmic residues] one will not attain liberation."

    I began a prayer of thanks for continued assistance from the false and welcomed guidance, when a Golden Eagle flew by. I was awestruck. Against the familiar backdrop of tree tops and sky, I was shown the breadth and grandeur of this mighty One, this God manifest.

    Not my photo.

    The problem is the limited depth of view, creates the limit on a given sphere of knowledge and knowing, thus we enter the area where the those of lesser reach end up hitting their limits in these smaller loops and smaller circles of logic and reach.

    And when that happens, we engage the limits of the body, as in emotions and thoughts driven by emotions. For when we reach our limits, those unknowns are first explored by our emotions and logic as a pair, instead of with logic alone. Thus the colorations are one of loves, hates, fears, desires ---essentially, projections into logic with deep emotional tinging and colorations.

    Thus, what another may call an understanding that is clear or obvious, the other cannot see and their reach toward the given thing or area...is colored heavily by instinct and emotions.

    And in that, we find the principle acts of what we call the PTB, with regard to their methodologies. To hide their activities so the logic cannot be found by those of a lesser capacity for spheres of logic and chains of thought on possibilities and potentials.

    manipulation, of those in an unknowing state.

    And that turns into something akin to bulls in a china shop, concerning the behavior of a lesser reach group who are on the move, with their actions and ideas heavily colored by their deepest desires and animalistic components.

    The truth of the matter has always been simple.

    Fear is used as the fight or flight aspect of being alive is the base function of all rumination, a hard commonality in all duality beings, that can be engaged in any of us, who is alive. This, almost to the last person or being that is here.

    ~~~~
    As a collective of individuals with some aspect of underlying commonality, the object lessons in this idea of creating reality as we go along..it is interesting that the lessons that are required to be surpassed, as both lesson and barrier, do indeed come to us. Often. Over and over again. until they are defeated, surpassed, or known for what they are.
    Which as been my conclusion for quite some time (early 90's). An entire globe, for the most part..going through the rebirth that a monk in a monastery would be gong through?
    Since we emerged into this global collective, with data sharing (in all ways), this is the one thing we seem to have moved into -almost immediately, as in synchronous and bound to the change itself.
    Which...in any sort of hindsight tied to the idea of what humans are, this should come as no surprise.
    A shining example of the world of the mundane thinking that this middle of the road, with limited reach, is the limit. the comfort zone. See that limit, that median, that middle of the bell curve, that center of the herd... once more announce to itself .....that it is real. Here is the latest episode of Lost being announced:
    If one puts enough animated coverings on the walls and enough furniture in the room, heck, most times you can't see the walls. Helps ease the spirit. But... at what cost?
    Samsara's daughter & grandson's dog: Kandu is a 10 year old Golden Retriever, my daughter's family loving dog.
    Ah, one of those senior moments . . . well, at least I was in the ball park with the dog site.
    Anyway, certainly sympathize with Samsara's family (Amos our black lab is pushing 12 yrs), and sending our intent for a smoth transition, realizing that any separation is temporary. Mazie has lost quite a few beloved canine friends in the course of her life, and so is expecting a kennel's worth to greet her when she crosses over.
    Blessings!
    The other Kandu is quite an awesome dog too.
    I saw our Kandu last evening. He is slowly leaving but hangs on a bit because he so loves his family. My grandson stayed overnight and we got to talk about how his dog is doing. He is a very smart kid, he will be fine. Thank you All for your help.
    speaking about enlightenment,
    we can eat our way to it .... soon.
    Quote More Chinese Farmer Innovations: Baby Buddha Pears!
    Farmer Gao XianZhang has created a plastic mold that he uses to enclose each pear, and eventually the fruit will assume the shape of that mold. It's a simple enough idea, and of course it's hardly the first time that anyone has done this with some fruit. But you've got to credit Farmer Gao with coming up with a design that consumers will be attracted to. And Chinese consumers tend to bite when it comes to this 'good luck' jazz.
    Lets hope Gao is equally successful in his overseas endeavors!
