    Hi Ulli. A hamster?!!

What about a woodpecker? Or a hammerhead shark?

OG, I usually get the Clique thing when it's way too late. Maybe I shouldn't be on this thread, or even on this forum!
Using words like "should" shows that you are stuck in clique mentality.
    Drop that!
Join our Fight Club, and roll up your sleeves.
Ha ha ha. "I'd rather be a hammer than a nail..."

If all you have is a hammer, every problem will look like a nail, they say.

The real ones to watch out for are the people whose only tool is a screwdriver

Personally, I'd rather be a forest than a tree....

    1.38 I'd rather be a hammer then a nail
2.32 I'd rather be a forest then a street (tree... ah well)
Thanks, that sounds better. However, I stand by my version

You get individual araucarias in most botanical gardens, but their indigenous South American forests are in danger of extinction.

You are quite right, of course.
    Furry animals get to me.

Plus I used to have a favorite saying that cracked people up...
When said in the right context hamsters take on new associations.

Those among you who wonder just who the members in this clique are, watch the reactions this comment gets:

My pet peeve on the forum has always been those members who bring their subjective opinions onto a serious discussion and offer no evidence other than their personal testimonies, which usually derail the intention of the thread. This behavior is also a waste of valuable bandwidth.

Now.... personal testimonies are a wonderful thing when supporting a group in their theology. This is what the Fundamentalists call 'witnessing'.

For a group of individuals to sit around the camp fire singing kumbayah, and 'witnessing' to each other, gives the group a warm and fuzzy feeling. There in not a thing wrong with that. It is only when someone starts witnessing from the back of the bus that this behavior becomes obnoxious.

There is not a shred of objective evidence found in any personal testimony.

Most of the discussions in the 'General Discussion' Forum were intended to be objective in content. That forum was provided to discuss 'real' evidence and present such.

Subjective testimonies of personal religious, or astral experiences, or any other such personal testimonies should be kept in the proper forum where they belong - in the 'Channeled and Other Controversial Material' Forum.

    Just my humble opinion....

Still waiting to hear the names of these mysterious clique members so I can join in that chorus.
There are quite a few how have brought up "the clique" now...
When we get to 1500 testimonies I figure we have enough evidence that such a clique exists.

    It's rant time.
Music came up with the expression and I grabbed that ball and am running with it.
All in honor of 9eagle9. (She'll be BAACK, I promise)
I have to ask ulli. Music's expression was most certainly an insult, and directed squarely at 9eagle9. So unless I'm mistaken, which I hope I am, this thread title strikes me more as sticking pins in a 9eagle9 voodoo doll, not actually honoring her. Am I way off base here?

    Cheers,
    Fred

Try sticking a pin in a 9e9 voo doo doll, and it will wind up planted squarely in your own rear end, mark my words, Fred. No one with any sense would think of doing such a thing in 9's direction! *coughcoughmusiccough*

    Sticking pins? Voodoo dolls??
Of course you are not off base Fred....this thread was designed to bring out all sorts of issues.
    Be my guest.
Must admit I have forgotten about 9eagle already. I saw Musics choice of words and the rest is history.

Here is a place to rant freely. But rants are not necessarily invitations for combat.
So where do you want to go with this?

This thread is not, in my opinion, to honor anyone but to let the steam out when there is some, and to get go at someone on friendly/non courteous basis. I just did that with Reaver - although I am not sure of his intents on his side. But who cares, it is the hammer thread, you see...

Sensitive egos will certainly be shock here. One thing though, when someone call it out, it should be respected and enforced, I think this should be a rule (yes Reaver, you went too far once on the other forum, this time I would call it out. but otherwise, I have fun). Otherwise, anything goes. imho

You will be missed. Anchor, too.
How will you ever learn the art of insult now?
A forum of 5000 members and only one is ever allowed to rant and insult freely?

Reminds me of the assigned role of the court jester....
    To me that's an imbalance.
If each one of us is a universe then each one of us has to be able to play all parts.....

    hmm...interesting.
    I wish I had Carmody's post handy....
He once explained how there is a gender thing going on when it comes to making peaceful choices.
In his post he described a bunch of shop assistants chasing a shop lifter down the road, and only the female kept on running,
Determined to catch the thief. Meanwhile all the males turned back.
His explanation at the time was that the males feared what they might be capable of doing once they took the chase to it's conclusion.
The cartoon I placed in the OP is there for a reason....
All interactions in the real world are about both parties, but Internet forum interactions are about the self, and one's relationship with the self/Self.
