Today has been one of those days.
Many seemingly independent events, "workings" and even people are starting to
converge into a crescendo. This whole last month of withdrawing,
eating very very pure foods, and working very hard on clearing out past
garbage has all been for an upcoming event that today just got dropped
into my lap. Intense is an understatement.
THIS is exactly what i have been waiting for, my hands are no longer tied,
blinders are off, what a relief. Finally i get to fully do my job here, i guess
must have passed that last test, or something to that effect.

Thought those two words would exaggerate the polarity ...two famous media clichés...which are constantly being used to capture attention...
also to avoid all ideas of either creation of life (gender related, ie sex) or destruction of life (violence) to leave it to the readers to examine their internal response, independently of language associations.
Hence I was really hoping to come up with a term that would be free from any association with either extreme, something very, very impartial. I'm now thinking more of blending, or mixing....deliberately non-poetic, words that would never manipulate any emotion so that the image can speak for itself.
There is no neutral term. ‘Merge’ certainly isn’t neutral. Highways (artificial constructs) merge, and so do corporations (fictitious entities claiming moral and even real person status). So language is going to let us down however hard we try. And emotion doesn’t even necessarily come into it at all. We talk of parent companies (in French of mother and daughters) in situations totally devoid of any human feeling.

The image itself does likewise. It is an artist’s impression based on a number of snapshots of different galaxies at different stages in a process of coming together that takes millions of years. There is no guarantee that some part of the process is not incorrect, maybe the film is running backwards at some point, and then we are back with deceptive narrative. You can reconstruct an egg on film by playing it backwards, but you still have to mop the floor.

Possibly the only way we humans can relate to an event of such magnitude in time and space is to view it in terms that are familiar to us. The death scenario is the usual one, the birthing scenario I don’t think I’ve seen before, but if you have, then all to the good. The constant bursting out of new life strikes me as being consistent with the notion of ongoing creation of which human reproduction can only give a woefully inadequate idea. There are also things to back up my statement.

First, the astronomer Tom van Flandern describes a theoretical mothering process whereby stars process planets in pairs: they emerge in opposite directions out of the star’s own material. He also suggests that planets behave similarly in producing moons, with smaller planets producing just one. (The likely artificial status of the Moon is probably irrelevant to this argument). If this were to be so, then logically, on the next higher scale up, galaxies might well do likewise. You can either see this as an anthropomorphic projection, or on the contrary as an astronomical template for the animal reproductive system.

Secondly, if you take Gaia as a living conscious entity (we do, don’t we?), and suns also – they are sublogoi of the galactic logos, to use Law of One terminology (although we are wary of channeled information!), a galaxy is the higher conscious being that takes care of our Sun and Earth and ultimately ourselves. It is the top of our family tree, and so there is nothing wrong in tracing some slight family resemblance. It produces a sense of oneness with the universe in a way that the opposite approach, via the violent scenario, does not.

But we are still operating within the finite, where duality rules. Galaxies are finite, just like us, and infinite, just like us.

I’d like to ‘marry’ this discussion, if I may, with the other one, on writing. For me, language is metaphorical, language is metaphor. To use a different one, you rub two (or more) ideas together and you obtain a spark of understanding.

My thoughts on the modern novel were far too incomplete, but they at least gave some idea of the paranormal things that begin to happen when the tale starts wagging the dog
One important notion theorized by postwar writers was to undermine the authority of the author figure (here we refer to the Ego). Roland Barthes even wrote an influential essay called ‘The Death of the Author’. There were practical experiments going on in creative writing workshops (this was long before the Internet) that came up against the problem of clashing Egos.

This forum, and especially the Village, is working towards finding a solution to collective creative writing that avoids the clash of Egos, i.e. by looking after each other first, rather than imposing our own views. We all contribute our differently coloured tiles to the evolving mosaic, hence the magic fairytale element. In other words, the medium is the message, and the message is love. Obviously this cannot be conceived in terms of the sex-violence duality, for in those terms it would be something like total promiscuity
Ok, I take your point. Love it is. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.....
now that we have established that we are having this loving dance here, lets dance.
I just don't want the experience to become erotic, but something entirely different,
more of a lasting transformation than sensual thrills. A state that leaves all of us permanently connected, yet free.
A soul group which has a life that can last over eons of time, if not eternity.
And you are right about language. Like style in general, it signals a vibratory rate that can attract or repel.
Otherwise I'd be dancing with everyone who ever uttered the words "we're all one".
I find those who make that claim consistently are the first to fragment and break away.
Even these absolute staterments can then be seen in a larger context to be relative, as your response to me demonstrated. So, thanks again, araucaria.

Good news...Jim and Fatima, and several of her family members, have left Turkey and are on their way to the states. Looking forward to seeing them...Jim says things are not as we are being told (quick! look surprised!). Thank you so much for your prayers and intentions.

In the midst of a very busy day yesterday, I decided to take a little time for myself. Stopped in at a walk-in hair salon for a trim of dead ends....and walked out with hair 12 inches shorter. Turns out they work with Locks of Love...a group that takes donated hair and makes real hair wigs for women with cancer who are left bald after chemo. I still have shoulder length hair...feels very strange...but it will grow back.

I really like Mod's idea of having "ways" instead of "rules". We've come through a difficult time with a clearer idea of who we are as a Village, gathering together as tho' called for a greater purpose, and a path of healing and miracles set before us if we so choose to walk it together...all under ulli's vision of what we could be and do...yes, the title "ulli, Village Sage" fits rather well.

The Way of the Village...mutual respect...sharing each others growth, healing, and acceptance...clarity in our words and understandings...

I'll stop there...not very coherent nor poetic after only 4 hours sleep.

Damn, this thing posted before I was ready. Don't you hate that!

Did you give them permission to cut your hair after they told you about the wigmakers, as a voluntary act, or did they just do it and then give you the story about the women with cancer? I don't mean to be petty here but stories like this always get my alarm bells to go off. I have stopped responding to calls from charity workers unless I know more about the organization.
So many are rackets and our money feeds same dark forces of the cabal that we are trying to disconnect from. So unless I can see where my money is going I would rather hang on to it until I meet an individual who can't afford to buy a wig.

Yes, I was asked and I gave permission....to everyone's surprise. My surprise was not knowing that this particular salon was involved with this program when I walked in the door. I have donated my hair to Locks of Love once before, known people who have donated their hair, as well as two women who were recipients of the wigs. One of the recipients, my friend Fay, has very little in the way of resources and/or possessions but her heart is huge. The gift of a donated real hair wig meant a lot to her...having breast cancer and a mastectomy caused her to feel less a woman...with the wig she felt 'beautiful' again...something she could not have afforded to purchase on her own. There are few women like my cousin Mary who had breast cancer and a mastectomy also, but who wore her baldness openly...knowing her inner beauty and joy even amidst the difficulty shone brightly enough that a wig was not necessary.

Belle, I've often wondered about that organization, but since I have been growing out for two years, I haven't investigated. Do they accept hair that has been chemically processed ( highlights)?

Hi AriG! As far as I know, they do not take hair that has been chemically treated. At one point they did not take hair that had grey in it, but now they do...so it may change in the future.

    Good Morning

So nice to be catching up. In every way. It is 54F degrees and cloudy/overcast. I think it is a homemade soup day. I learned, over the past week, that it is important to take care of myself in all ways even when I don't feel like it is helping. When I don't, it obviously does nothing...so even if I don't feel it the results would at worst be the same and at best they would make a difference, even slight is an improvement but it may be a huge improvement. Never know... Confidence. Faith.

Operation Laundry Room is a huge success so far. MamaDog and her belly full of puppies are seeming to like sleeping in the warmth and safety. Unfortunately, she left me a little present this morning, and it did not come from the back half. Gross. Anyway, the other day it was so beautiful I opened all the windows, including one that doesn't have a screen. She and Devin hopped inside at some point while I was out. When I came in, she was in her spot in the laundry room even though she could have run the whole house. Good! I'm reminded of Gone With the Wind, though, I don't know nuthin 'bout birthin' no puppies...I will have to draw on inner reserves when the time comes. Dang, this dog is stupid. With a dog to compare him to, I can see that Devin thinks and acts like a human being, whereas she has no smarts whatsoever. Trying my patience, she is. I've never had a stupid dog before :/ And, I need to find a way to get the fleas, et al, off of her without hurting the puppies. Forget about a bath. We have given her a couple outside, and she is not aggressive but she didn't enjoy the process. It's too cold now, but not for the parasites.

Today will be fun, Em and I are smudging the house. I promise not to report on that (hahahahha) though I expect no deep releases. We also plan to place a salt circle around the house, though I doubt it will be circular.

Tomorrow Mike is coming to work in the yard for the day. We couldn't do that for his birthday as it rained and rained and rained. I hope we can get the mower tire fixed for good...I will send out good vibes about how wonderful the experience of mowing is and maybe that will help haha.

    Have a good day, all...

    Much Love to Us,
Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

Food grade diatomaceous earth works wonders for getting rid of fleas....just be cautious not to inhale the 'puffs' that come up when you sprinkle it on Mama.

Had a pregnant dog once that did not want me to leave her during her contractions and the birth process...if I walked away, she would follow me, sides heaving. I understand that is quite unusual.

Received this in my e-mail today. They won their case against the Ecuadorian government and oil companies.

Children of the Jaguar is a campaign documentary about the struggle of the Sarayaku indigenous community of Ecuador in order to defend their human rights and the right of many other communities across the Americas. A few years ago, the government authorised an oil company to enter Sarayaku's land and drill for oil. Neither the government nor the company consulted with Sarayaku whether the project was in line with their traditions and way of life. Since then, Sarayaku has been campaigning for justice and redress, including the removal of 1.4 tons of explosives which are still buried on their ancestral land. They are also defending their right to be consulted regarding further development projects which may affect them in the future.

Having exhausted all judicial avenues at home, the Sarayaku have taken their case to the Costa Rica-based Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Children of the Jaguar follows the Sarayaku delegation as they make their way to the highest regional court in the Americas. If they win, the court's decision will benefit Sarayaku and many other Indigenous groups across the region. It will send a powerful message to all governments asking them to consult with Indigenous communities and request their consent before carrying out development projects that may affect their lives.

http://amazonwatch.org/work/sarayaku The Kichwa made world news headlines recently by winning their case before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, landing a major victory for indigenous self-determination in the face of egregious industrial development threats. Tupak Amaru Viteri Gualinga, community Vice President, and historic Sarayaku leader, Marlon Santi, will share their inspiring story.

To all my indigenous and traditional Grandfathers, Grandmothers and Brothers & Sisters may Peace be yours

TRIBAL CONNECTION is A Painted Story telling of an inner journey, Spirit Walkers, and the merging of seemingly different cultures into one. We all have tribal connections - it is our Earth Connection and no matter who we are, or what color skin we have - we have one, and it's time we honored it, loved it, and embraced it. Humans are Tribal and Celestial - it is our "work" to balance the two in love and harmony. May beauty be yours in all ways.

    Love
