I had to return my "reverse image inverter goggles".

No matter what I tried with them it kept coming back with the same results ...

Mmmmm, wonderful smells coming from the kitchen...big pot of vegetarian chili cooking low and slow on the stove...homemade artisan bread baking in the oven.

Made enough chili to have for dinner with plenty left to can when dinner is done...or to serve 20 or so guests. Anyone hungry?

I figured it out, what's bothering me. I am in a state of transition. After thinking back over some of the undertakings I have buried myself in, or thrown my whole self into, spent chunks of my life on, I miss the sense of purpose. With purpose comes drive and motivation and a reason to go do something...anything lol...a meaning to this life, a reason for being here.

After thinking back over the conclusion of the same undertakings, I also see I do not feel motivated to go find something new. With the conclusion of each of the time periods in which I lost myself in a purpose, came an emptiness and a sense of loss.

I know I learned from every endeavor, but I also wonder what good is that knowledge if it can't be put to good use? I don't know enough to be considered an expert in any one thing, but I'm not a moron either. I must be in transition. Between big projects that won't go anywhere, lol. I guess we shall see...

I'm having a lull of maybe 30 minutes right now while waiting in our car.
Was on the way home, but now I'm stuck here.
Today was hubby's day off and so we went to town to buy more beads.
Then a patient called about a sick kid who needs urgent attention
and there wasn't enough time to drop me off at home
so here I am sitting outside the medical centre,
preferring the privacy and comfort of the car
    to the waiting area inside.
This town (Orosi) in so quiet...after the racket of San Jose...
..there is hardly even traffic noise...
just some birdsong and kids voices in the distance. Dog barking.
Moped, then a squeaky bicycle. Road with potholes, no puddles, as it hasn't rained.
Bought a charger for my iPhone today... to keep it charged in the car..it plugs into the cigarette lighter.
    Very nifty.
Taking a picture of my view now...might post it later.
Would love it if I could just post it with a single button push...

I've been a silent observer, it seems to be a more rewarding strategy than throwing yourself in at the deep end...

    Well for a little while.

My partner and I have experienced 'spirits' up stairs on the landing. At the untimely hour when the toilet is calling.

I only sensed them but my partner saw the shape.

When I experienced the presence I felt a bit of fear within but that passed the following day. I placed some crystals in the corners and asked that the spirits are sent with love to receive guidance where they belong and that they take with them the lessons from earth.

That night I felt three presences leave, they came into my room and the love I felt was beautiful.

Unfortunately the one that had interrupted my partners visit to the loo got told to go away in no uncertain terms.

Is this going to be a common occurrence now?

I think my partner may need to learn some better communication skills, he just thinks their timing could be better.

Experiencing pain and suffering is the gateway to joy and happiness.
It's chronic pain that prevents the gateway opening.

Thanks, meeradas...because I had to search who that was, that had left the building, I found this:

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=8CnhcGpmH9Y

This music is amazing, and she is so beautiful...

Somewhere around five minutes in, her fingers are flying...this is truly...amazing.
Agree, she's incredible. "She ain't playin', she's prayin'".

She had a great teacher... she's one of his daughters.

Most only know the other one.

He was my dog. And I was blessed to spent half of my life with him.
I appologise for vomiting my grief here... I just needed to share and ask feedback.
I so much loved him and he gave me so much love back... I don't know what to do now.
What do you do, when you know you lost your peronal qute, sweet, loving angel who has always been there?

Have you lived in your current address for a while or have you just moved there? Is this something you have just noticed or could they have been around for a while? Sometimes, they attract your attention because they have a need...

The last house we lived in had a variety of spirits come and go...only one of which I would call malevolent. My Wiccan friend, my daughter and I worked together to send him on his way...did a whole house cleansing, etc. Apparently, he thought my granddaughter was his baby and would try to protect her from us...trying to intimidate and strike fear into our hearts.

The first thing I must say is have no fear...I looked at it like they were just people without their body...some are just nicer than others, just like in physical reality. And I talk to them like I would anyone...eg. "I would appreciate a little privacy now, please" or "Please be quieter walking up and down the stairs (or opening and closing the front door or whatever)...we'd like to sleep now."...being polite, but firm. Sometimes it was just a family member who had passed recently checking on us...lots of love...before moving on.

I would help as many as possible go into the "light" or move on...as you experienced, it is quite a feeling.

Most nights I would ask my guide to safeguard and protect our home and all within as we slept...asking to be awakened if something needed my attention.

I don't know if it will become a common occurrence for you. It was for me from the moment I first moved into that house...to the east was an old Indian burial ground, to the west a train had gone off a tressel (sp?) bridge in the early 1900's and many died, to the south a group of "satanists" would meet in the woods at least one night a week and lots of 'sacrificed' cats would be found. The whole area was very active. Of course, no one told us this until after we moved in.

    Edited to add:

There are others here who are much more knowledgable than I when it comes to this sort of thing...they would know of any pitfalls or what to watch out for. In my ignorance, I've only done what felt right and natural to me...and it happened to work.

So sorry for your loss. It hurts like he11...

What do you do? You grieve the loss, remember the love and the joy, and know that he will be waiting for you when your time comes to pass on.

I've had dogs all my adult life and remember with much love each and every one that has died. I still miss my eskimo spitz, Sugar; Buster the mutt; Mr. Red, the golden; Sylvester kitty with the unique meow that I rarely, but occasionally hear even now 9 years after he passed.

My last dog died..what..about three years back?

and I basically had to hold her down, with the vet there..and try and kill her....for over an hour. She just would not die. A fighter right until the end. She was about an 80lb (35kg) dog, and she took in about enough tranquilizer, to kill at least two horses.

And while we tried to kill her, I had to hold her head, as she was trying to bite the veterinary doctors. So my arms where shaking from the strain, of holding her head tight for this one hour plus time period.

As this was happening, I delivered the eulogy. I spoke about her youth, her life, her crazy moments, and how much fun she was, as she was totally off her rocker and unpredictable. It was such a difficult scene, that even the vets had to go outside and take a break, they could not handle it. And they had done this hundreds of times before.

we where so connected that twice I nearly died on the highway and each time, I came home..and she had emptied her bowels, at approximately the same time the stress and fear hit me, on the highway. She never had a collar, and I never really ever used my voice with her. We where wired mind to mind. She was part wolf. It was a wolf pack thing. She barked maybe twice, in her entire life. Both times, while backing away from spirits in our path.

One of the reasons I managed to hold it together in the face of that, is that I knew, personally really knew and had experienced many times, that death of the flesh is only a small part of the dream. And that continuance after the given physical death, is a real thing. It's always difficult at first, and we each deal with it in our own given way.

Hello skamandar, im so sorry youve lost your friend.Ive had a couple of very special dogs in my life too.Ill never forget when mybeloved childhood dog passed on, i was devastated as are you, and my mum brought home within a day or so a gorgous black labrador cross pup and when she told me this was the last one left as everyone wanted the gold ones- well then that gave me more of a purpose for having a new dog in my life. I know its soon but you could visit the animal shelter and save a life and start a new friendship- you know when we feel grief there is nothing better than giving love, it heals us

I checked it out and it reminded me of my almost life long boycott of hollywood and its septic effluent. I did find the info quite interesting though.

Skamandar, my love, as I used to call him died.
So sorry for your loss. It hurts like he11...

What do you do? You grieve the loss, remember the love and the joy, and know that he will be waiting for you when your time comes to pass on.

I've had dogs all my adult life and remember with much love each and every one that has died. I still miss my eskimo spitz, Sugar; Buster the mutt; Mr. Red, the golden; Sylvester kitty with the unique meow that I rarely, but occasionally hear even now 9 years after he passed.
Belle I totally understand you. I hear Skamandar all the time. I just do. I was thinking I am totally out of my mind. Even when he was in the hospital and we were triyng to save him, while he was still alive I heard him. My mother told me I was waking up in my sleep and doing doggy sounds, you know...
I am very sorry for your loss too.. and I know you understand me, as I understand you - we both love this creatures

I'm so sorry about your loss. Losing a beloved pet is terribly upsetting.
You did the right thing, to express your grief.
The only thing you can do now really is just grieve...and stay with those feelings....
without forcing yourself to feel otherwise or repress them.
Eventually time will heal the pain but for now all you can do is get as much sympathy as you can.
    You certainly have mine.
The people here have all lost pets and loved ones, and know what you are going through.
You will be reunited with Skamandar one day, Im sure of that.

Carmody I am so sorry it was so painfull to put your dog to sleep.... I was not brave enough to do it.
I was histerrical when it was suggested to me. I was shouting to the veterinerian and my parents that they are bad for wanting to kill my dog. I was very disgusting. I kept him alive while he was redy to go. I am a monster - but I did just that - kept him here as long as I could.
And I can't stop blaiming myself for that and at the same time now I am 100% sure I was going to keep him alive as long as it was possible. I am terrible. I kept him and I hope he will forgive me.

lookbeyond - I am an egoistic creature and I think I will never have a dog again but.... when skamandar died, my parents got older in an instance.
I don't know if it will be better for them to take another dog or not. This is my issue. For me - I don't wan't a dog now but maybe they will want... I don't know.
I really know that the dogs in the shelters need love and we can provide.
I once was afraid and I met a street dog, who self appointed itself as my bodyguard. They are so qute and sweet in general and they just need a human to give them a hand. I know they will do anything. I don't know if I am ready yet. Skamandar - our only dog, was a family dog, very loved by everybody. And maybe I can injure somebody elses feelings if I just get I shelter dog. But I will ask.. we wil see..
