Very quickly, I never meant my previous post to be considered an attack on The Reset Button, which is a good idea and a great place to start.

I was trying to add a larger dimension, or perhaps a direction to the endeavor. Sort of like a guiding star of what's possible. We already know what's at stake...

We might not know what is possible if we are successful, and wring our hands at the prospect of voting all our leaders out of office at the same time.

They could cause a lot of havoc on the way out.

I was trying to put emphasis on the stakes, on why it is worth effecting change regardless of the short-term ramifications.

Also, I guess I failed to recognize where we went from suggestions to ramping up The Reset Button strategy. Sorry, it wasn't mentioned in the op and I missed the fork in the convo.
It sure did NOT feel like an attack to me, Ernie. Just a conversation. :~)

Arrowwind's topic is not The Reset Button, and I apologize for my passion gushing out of the container. I'll try not to hog the thread as others offer their ideas about what to do to "Break the Backs of Corporations."

I'm actually surprised, since I sent The Reset Button to some well-known activists, that some activist hasn't formulated an even better goal, plan and strategy - and made it known far and wide. All the activists I know seem content to (as Wade Frazier would say) hack at the branches rather than go after the root. I was very excited to see Ronnie Cummins (a big, well-known activist) publicly recognize that single-issue activism isn't working and that we need a united mass movement. I have asked him to take a look at The Reset Button. The two issues that are burning for Ronnie are organic food/anti-GMO and climate change. I think Ronnie sees that going directly at the politicians, asking them to fix things, won't work. Hopefully, he'll see the value of the first step in the process of actually getting into a position where we ordinary citizens with passion can make the changes that TPTB would never make.

Well I couldnt... and Im not to computer savoy but A sign kept coming up that said not permitted to copy.

anyway, I did type it and into a petition form, I changed very little as you will see when I put it up a little later this evening for review here.

Quote Arrowwind's topic is not The Reset Button, and I apologize for my passion gushing out of the container.

Actually, it very much is. We need to take another stab and moving this out to the public.

Please understand Dennis that I do not believe that this petition would pass. I am using the government site to bring attention to the reset button to many people who would not find it on their own. If it did get legitmate attention and by some miracle pass... well I would eat my hat! and if you saw my hat you would understand that I am not too inclined to do that nor put myself in a position where I might be obligated to do so.

But zillions of people everyday go to this site and read and sign petitons. It is a way to move forward the RESET BUTTON.. that is how I see it. there is also another petition service I am aware of that can do the same work... I will have to go look for that one. Why not use the power of the government website to advance our reclaimation of our freedom?

Actually, a lot of activist are kind of dimwitted, IMHO... and this is why they did not latch onto the RESET BUTTON. So another direction must be enacted... and by who really, if not us? You have another idea?

This should no way lay on the virtual desk to collect dust.

I have always believed it was going to be ordinary people - like you and me. I got discouraged when it didn't happen, and started doubting that there are enough awake ordinary citizens to make it known far and wide - and figured that I had miscalculated the percentage of people that are strictly followers.

If you have read the proposed amendment and the proposed law, you'll see that they go in tandem: just those items that NEED to be in an amendment are in the amendment (amendments are much more difficult to pass than laws), and all of the remaining provisions to create honest elections without the control of Big Money and the corporatocracy are in the proposed law. Neither one alone is enough - and proposing to pass one without even showing the other may make it appear that those proposing this as a solution don't really understand the problem. I recommend posting BOTH the law and the amendment for consideration in a package.

I emailed you. Let me know and I'll send DOC or ODT files of any or all of the document, since you cannot copy the PDF.

The following was taken from The Reset Button document with minor adaptaions to create a petition to put on the us.gov petition site. The sole purpose of this posting of a petiton it to bring to the forefront the Reset Button to many people who would not find it on the net otherwise through the power of a government websit. With the posting of this on the gov. website I am calling for a mass movement of Avelon members and anyone else called to action to move this forward in other sites and social media forums and mainstream media comment areas. I do not believe that this will ever be inacted by our government. It is the start of a wake up call to them and a real peaceful revolution.

This should be a simultaneous action somewhere in the near future.
What do you think? are you ready? is it a good idea?

Petition to the United States Government

    Commentary:

The RESET BUTTON’s Plan, Strategy, Goals as well as the Urgency (and the reasoning behind each) are spelled out in the full RESET BUTTON document, and summarized on the www.ResetButton2012.org website.

The focus is on Phase 1 of The Reset Button which this petition addresses: US citizens gaining control over the election process, and getting all of the Big Money influence out of elections. This is the only way that any real change will ever come out of Congress and the White House.

Currently all elected officials are beholden to corporate sponsors. They either ‘bought-in’ to the agenda of the Financial Elite, or they have been ‘bought-out’ by the Financial Elite. Attempting to deal with this body is 100% futile, and the electoral system has been rigged to keep them in control, using Big Money and the overpowering influence of the Bid Media that they also control. Third party candidates are prevented fro ever having a change at winning more than a small, statistically insignificant number of seats, and could never affect change. This is by design. The only way in is through full electoral paradigm change. The only way to get paradigm change is by creating an overwhelming financial pressure and public relations nightmare for all the Financial Elite’s major corporations – with US citizens simultaneously going on a Nationwide General Strike, Boycotting all of the corporations and Divesting from these corporations UNLESS The US GOVERNMENT VOTES TO ENACT THIS ABOVE AMMENDMENT THROUGH THEIR OWN VOLITION.

The action, (major simultaneous financial pressure on all major corporations- including Nationwide General Strike, Full Boycotts, and Complete Divestment) has never been done before. This action, by US Citizens, is the greatest power US citizens have to make these changes. If this does not work, nothing will, and we citizens are permanently ‘debt slaves’ without hope. We have nothing to lose by trying , we have lost everything if we do not try.

This document contains the best ideas from some of the most brilliant minds in the United States, and the only plan and strategy proposed by anyone to actually gain control of elections, get ordinary citizens elected, and accomplish the goals we citizens want accomplished. Goals that the 2-party, 1- owner, Financial Elite’s political machine would never even consider, much less pass into law.

Activist will recognize virtually all of the major issues that we citizens have been fighting for in the topics in Phase II. Please read the PDF Phase II file found at www.resetbutton2012. Ordinary citizens should at least be aware, at this point, that we citizens are in a financial war with the financial elite. They have declared war un us. We do not have the option to sit out the fight – they have brought the fight quite literally to our doorsteps. 11 million homes foreclosed, 9 million expected to fall in 2012. But their big weapon, the ‘neutron bomb’ of the Financial Elite is that they are about to deliberately burst a $700 trillion dollar derivatives bubble, that they deliberately created. Either we stop them or they will create a worldwide depression and we will be in survival mode. We have an excellent chance to stop them if we act immediately and act in unprecedented unity. The Monetary Reform Act can disarm their “neutron bomb”, but they won’t pass it. We must.

The bonus (as if we need a bonus) for winning the financial war with the Financial Elite is our freedom, control over our own elections, control over our governance, and control over our own destiny.

We need the help of as many US citizens as possible and we can win.

Remember- you (and candidates) do not have to agree with anything in Phase II to agree with the goals of Phase I. The goal of Phase I is simple: a government of the people, by the people and for the people –Literally, not just a slogan. The goal of Phase I is an incredible goal for all citizens – we ordinary citizens will finally be the voice of government - and we will have completely removed the Financial Elite’s control over our elections. Sign the petition to the US government today to take your stance.

Then please read, sign and spread the word about THE RESET BUTTON. Our lives, our liberty and our health and our happiness depends upon it. The Financial Elite have declared war on us, and they are winning. We must win – or we lose everything.

Ok, you'll all have to forgive me here, as I have not completed what should essentially be prerequisite reading to fully (and coherently) participate in the discussion at hand. Getting any heavy reading done has been difficult as I've got family visiting for New Year's (excuses excuses, I know...). As long as I'm prefacing here, I also want to send my deep gratitude toward the members contributing here, especially Dennis Leahy and Arrowwind.

I just want to confirm/comment on a few things regarding the drafted amendment posted above...

If I'm not mistaken, petitions to the U.S. government must collect something like 32,000 signatures within either 60 or 90 days, is that correct? I'm not sure what law this falls under, but I'm positive that I've read something to that effect somewhere before.
In either case, I would suggest that this not be submitted for awhile. Long enough to pick up some real preliminary steam and iron out the finer details.

    I am in agreement with the majority of the points raised/propositions made. However criticisms are typically more constructive than praise, so here 'goes;

A nagging omission (seems to be) specifying a set limit on public funds dedicated to elections. The mandated equality in media coverage to individual campaigns only covers a portion of election spending. In the past election, for instance, "robo-calls" were implemented prolifically.

I appreciate the motive behind mandatory position papers, as it would serve to hold politicians' feet to the figurative fire, but I don't like the idea that an official would not be able to evolve his/her policies in accordance to new details/findings/developments that may come to light. Am I mistaken in that assumption?

The aspect that I am most unsure of is the strict limitation of 4 years of service. I can see the merits in this, but I'm not sure I fully agree with it. Experience can be very useful when dealing with complex issues, such as foreign relations and economic growth/stability.

Finally, just because I'm not completely aware of the educational backgrounds of Dennis et al, it might be really helpful to get a constitutional lawyer to look this over and offer their suggestions.

Anyway, thank you all again for the time and effort put into your work here. Frankly I'm a bit surprised that this thread hasn't taken off in a big way yet, but I'd say it's only a matter of time. I'm sure there are quite a few like me who need to catch up on their homework (but unlike them I can't keep my trap shut!)
Sorry if any of the above was already covered and I've spoken too soon.

Quote Petition to the United States Government
Before this thread gets too far along, I want to clarify something. Which government?

As many here know, the original organic Articles of Confederation, which were drafted in the early part of the 17th century, were partially usurped at the Declaration and signing of the Constitution, as over half of the signers were Freemasons and agents for the Crown, which as you know, is a subsidiary of the Vatican and part of the Roman trusts from the 1600's. The "To Ourselves and our Posterity" actually refers to the nobility and is not for us. There are schools of thought which would say we never had a Constitution by the people, for the people, and of the people.

But I digress. Let's move forward in time and go to the mid 1800's when the global banksters were feverishly attempting to take full control of the money supply, and the somewhat rogue individualists who had emigrated to this new continent, who were very difficult to enslave. They fomented the civil war and financed both sides, until Lincoln would not pay the massive usury and printed greenbacks, for which he was summarily eliminated. Then, after the war, congress proposed the Reconstruction Act, which essentially wanted to make all of us "us" citizens just like the blacks and turn us all into indentured slaves. Seven southern states walked out of congress and congress never reconvened.

A new corporate government was formed in the District of Columbia, the Reconstruction Act was passed, a new class of citizen was created, and the sovereign American was left out in the cold. We all became 14th amendment corporate citizens of the new corporatocracy. Then in 1913, they accelerated the job, took all the money supply away from us, and put us under the fiat debt system, which has completely shifted all assets into their hands and made us fully indentured slaves. Then in 1933, all of the energy, labor, and future strength of the people was hypothecated and given to this global oligarchy as collateral in the bankruptcy of this country.

So, we are all corporate slaves, have no representative government, no means from which to address grievances within the current corporate structure. There are movements to "Restore the Republic" and bring back the original organic intention from the Articles of Confederation, but they have failed, or are very hampered and co-opted and infiltrated if they gain any steam. There are sovereignty movements which file declarations of extrication from the corporate 14th amendment citizenship, yet these fail since it is then impossible to operate in the controlled commerce.

Although I am hopeful, I need a question answered. How do we affect this change without returning to some form of true representative government, and dismantling the existing corporate government to which we are indentured through debt and adhesion, where over 50% OF THE POPULACE IS DRAWING SOME FORM OF GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF A PAYCHECK?

    .
Dennis will have to address some of this when he comes by.

I would say that position papers should not limit a candidate in any specific area. It is a calling for how he would address each issue so that the people will know exactly how a candidate stands on each issue. Consider just how many issues were never addressed in our recent election. It will be in writing so flip flopping will be much harder. . It certalinly would not limit him/her from writing other position papers on other topics.

All I can say is that exactly all the details of this are not all that important to me for I understand that the current elected officials will never go for it in part or totality. They have been bought and sold already. They have refused to fix the mess and the most obvious incongruencies and constitutional illegalities necessary to maintianing liberty. They have supported new laws to pull the consitution out from under our feet.

there is so much that needs addressing but mainly this phase one is to restore the power of the vote to the people.

I too had some of the very same questions that you propose... Certainly setting limits on public money would be necessary. How much would be appropriate I have no clue. I would say mandated free public time on leading and easily accessible to the public news channels might be in order... or perhaps even a youtube dedicated site so no news agency can call foul. If say, 30 million were dedicated to each registerd candidate that might be enough if they spend wisely and to the point. Way too much money is generally spent on total wastes of time to confound the voters.

We do a want a petition that will be read and will be signed. Some people may opt not to sign on the governement site and choose to only sign the Reset Button as it stands for this plan has no intent to change the Reset Button as it stands. Have no doubt though. This petiton will go nowhere in the halls of our esteemed halls of government at this time. It's main intent is to plant seed of thought and to tell the people what they up against and what really needs to be done, which is a full boycott of corportations till they are brought to their ever lovin knees and a constitutional govenment is forced upon the system by the will of the people.

Before this thread gets too far along, I want to clarify something. Which government?
Well, to the government that is in power now, the USA government that sponsors this website: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/

We will release ourselves in just the same manner that you did.. We will stop paying, we will stop purchasing, we will stop the game dead in its tracks.

I don't think that this must be an end to all the good things in government as the process moves forward over time but it would lead to the PEOPLE running the government, not corporations through their money power and influence. BTW, Im one of those people who draws government money in the form of SS retirment fund. If we were to take the govenment down by cutting it at the root of the Financial Elite It would be very difficult for me. One way or another difficult times are coming upon us.

Ultimatley, I think that through a fair taxation of the people we can have a very good society if we stop paying for wars, black box operations, funding administration corporate favorites like Obama does, developing a department of energy that is working for the people by developing 'free energy' and other alternatives etc etc This nation has the potential for all its residents to live a good lifestyle, to have good roads and infrastructure, to have the elders and infirmed well cared for, to care for its vets and provide excellent education to all.... once we stop being slaves to the Financial Elite....

The first phase of Reset Button puts the government back into the hands of the people. It may not result in a government that all people like but it will result in a government of the people by the people for the people. Then come what may out of new found freedom.

Remember, Arrowwind has stated that presenting this as a petition on the WhiteHouse.Gov petition website is NOT an attempt to get the US government to consider the amendment and law. Instead, it is a clever way to present the material to more US citizens. I applaud this. Ya done good, Arrowwind!

I just posted the full text of the proposed amendment and law that together would create the electoral paradigm transformation.
    https://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...l=1#post609675

That should answer some/most of the questions posed above about specifics. For the logic behind the specifics, you may want to read "Why This Plan?", starting on page 13 of The Reset Button document (http://www.resetbutton2012.org/Docum...ll.pdf#Page=13)

Grip, we know for sure that the minions of corporatocracy will NEVER address the issue(s) of the USA as a sovereign nation with sovereign citizens versus the CUSA (Corporate U S A.) Newly elected representatives - our real representatives of the people - will have a mountain of legislation to un-do - an even bigger task than writing new (citizen-centric, eco-centric) legislation. But we do know that the first step is getting the minions of corporatocracy all out of office, simultaneously, and getting ordinary citizens not under corporate control in these positions.

IMO it will take the majority of us to make an affective impact on the corporations.

BTW just as an investigative project, go into ANY store and check out how much of the products we sell or buy is MADE IN CHINA.... everything; even our underwear!! So, we have to ask WTF is wrong with Americans? American companies took their businesses to China so they didn't have to pay a decent wage to them and then turn around to make a huge proft selling the products more expensively. How the heck do we break the backs of those American companies when Americans are so materialistic that they don't care where they get their stuff. Nothing against the Chinese, but shouldn't they be taking care of your own needs while America takes care of its own? How can we bring an American company to its knees when everything is made elsewhere? Where do we start? Is there anything wrong with Americans making their own stuff again? Do they remember how to? I'm serious. This is a huge problem that will take alot more than boycotting a few products. It's ALL of our products.... Go see for yourselves if I'm lying....

Even our food seems to be coming from other countries. So, what the hell is wrong with Americans? Is it just plain laziness or materiality or greed or what? We've allowed this dependence to happen to us. It's weakened us. Wait until the noose tightens and we have to practically beg for the things we love so much. Maybe even the things we need to live on. Where will the American pride be then?

I think Americans will need a big time boot in the a$$ to wake up and take action. But don't ask me what that would have to be....

Yes, we are more distributors and consumers than manufacturers, but a nationwide strike will stop the distribution of goods, and because they count on the US as being among the top consumer nations in the world, it will have an incredible impact.

A nationwide general strike will have more leverage than boycott + divestment + moving money out of banks combined.

    Dennis

p.s. Domestic manufacturing (not just the US, but most countries) needs to be reborn, with a new environmental mantra, disposal of the concept of engineered premature failure/obsolesence, and company ownership as collective (worker-owend) enterprises. Since the supply channels of cheap goods produced by slaves, prisoners, and virtual slaves, at high environmental cost, are wide open and established, then legislators have to impose high enough tariffs to make it economically unfeasible for corporations to operate their (Orwellian-named) "free-trade" scam. Again, this is something that simply will NEVER be done if we leave those in power, in power.

yep! (And how much of the Koch brothers' junk is also made in China?)

There is actually very little that can honestly be listed as "needs" that sustain life - and stocking up on some necessities as well as growing our own food meets those needs, easily, for the length of time it would take to force an electoral transformation.

p.s. Our liberation and re-building our infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities will also be liberating for the exploited workers in countries such as China.

p.s.p.s. Something Ulli just posted in the "Here and Now..." thread, that fits right in this thread. For this movement to work, we need to meet our own food needs and those of our local community, so gardening - particularly organic gardening - becomes a radical, self-sustaining, life-affirming practice. : "Revolution In Your Own Backyard" http://www.nextworldtv.com/videos/growing-food/one-million-gardens.html

In defence of Americans these very issues that you point out are widespread in other nations as well. Look at UK. They can't produce one dam thing. All is imported, and especially food. please understand that the US is the foundation nation for the NWO. It has been planned this way for a long time. This is why we have the United Nations on our shores and not in the UK, or Belgium, or Italy or Australia.

What is happening here will happen to all the rest given enough time and advancement of the NWO agenda. So don't rest on your laurels.. get busy waking up people within your own national boundaries.

We are not the only nation enslaved, this is world wide agenda that is unfolding at different rates in different nations.

Americans have been douped by the Financial Elite though the formation of the WTO, NAFTA and CAFTA under the guise of freedom and free trade for all as promoted by H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, after all our prosperous nation had the duty to upgrade the economic standards of the world, no?
.. Bush and Clinton are new world order front men This had driven industry out of our nation which has created competiton in prices that American industry has not been able to compete with hence foricng the closure of factories who did try to stick it out here. It has also created a nonsustainable evironmental issue. These unfair and unequal trade practices under the guise of free trade has bound Americans by the hands and feet.

Now nations that have moved into" Economic prosperity" like China and Mexico and other central American countries who are on the brink of doing the same are having huge social unrest, pollution issues, displacement of people... all the effects that war causes,,, for this is a financil war against the free people of the world with the intent to to further enslave them, destroy indigneous culture, and reduce population eventually.

I was recently in Mexico, on a driving trip through their beautiful land. Not to far from Moneterry we came upon a huge, just a giant valley filled with what had previously been US industry. A hundred factory wearhouses spread across the dessert terrain. Exquisite highways had been built to serve the thousands of trucks that go in and out every day. Mexico has been thriving as America declines. Frankly, I dont know why Mexicans are wanting to come here these days. Yet there is turmoil in Mexico also with the drug gangs largely created though the US war on drugs. We drove past a recent bombing in a city center in Monterrey... they had taken out several buildings... suspected done by drug cartel.. but is Mexico immune to false flage events? I wonder.

F--K. A couple of months ago I went to the American Spirit Tobacco site to get some tobacco coupons for my husband for he smokes organic. A couple of weeks ago the American Spirit company sent me a package and literature to encourage us to recycle cigarette butts... all we have to do is go around and pick up cigarette filters from the ground and public ashtrays and mail them in and they will see to it that these waste products will be recycled. They sent me a sample recycled product.. it was a rather ugly tourquise ashtry made out of a soft plastic. I turned it over and it was stamped made in China... so Im suppose to go around picking up f--cking cigarette butts, pay to mail them in, have them sent to China to be made into F--cking ashtrys to be shipped back here for US citizens to purchase.

I just dont know what this world is coming to....

    Sadly, actually, really I do.

I sincerely believe that if we resisit as people resisited in the old days, actual physical protests on the government we will all be swept up and placed in concentration camps. The day of such protests are done. Their weaponry is too great. Our little guns mean nothing when faced with energy weapons, chem trails, a highly trained military and swat teams all over the country. We dont stand a chance this way.

We need to keep the breath of freedom alive, and develop tactics that we can survive so our message will not die with our corpses.

Exactly and I dont really think enough folks on avelon are getting this message loud and clear.

Currently Im the president of our very tiny local farmer's market. Now think about this.
I've never grown a dam thing in my life till three years ago... and Im 59 years old.

You have to get out there and stretch into your unseen potential. YOU have to make things happen for if not you then who?

If the shtf we will have food. Will you?

50 percent of what we eat this year is produced locally, in Idaho and 30 percent of that in our town area.
Im working at education through the FM on organics, the dangers of GMO and most importantly to bring people together to see each other as sources for our needs, not Chile or China or even the East Coast nor the trucked in foods form California.

    It's not my say - it's yours.

I misunderstood you at first, and thought you were hoping TPTB would move forward with the concept if enough signatures were on a petition, but once I realized it is simply another way to reach a cluster of ordinary citizens (so they will at least have heard of it and some may investigate further), I thought the idea was brilliant.

    :~)
