Astrid, I think you must need to subscribe: all I get is titles. Still, we see how things are getting 'tighter'. 99 years ago they managed to pass the Federal Reserve Act on Dec 23rd, when everyone was still sober
That's weird, works fine at my end, never mind, I'm sure there are reams of articles on this so called solution by now , of course we know its all BS and yet another distraction..
Pity we can't shake awake the sleeping that are still glued to their idiot boxes, i guess we can't help them all.

@Astrid, thanks for the "Shut Up and Listen" video. I agree it's great. In a little over one month there are 75,138 hits. It may mean that people are looking for another model to assist in the change.

@Araucaria, some of the page doesn't transfer because it's in pic format. But the 6 main headings is really all you need:

6 Things You Won't Believe That Are In The Fiscal Cliff Bill That The Senate Passed At 2 AM While Most Americans Were Drunk

    Joe Weisenthal | Jan. 1, 2013, 10:47 AM | 99,976 | 49

On January 1, just before 2 AM, the Senate overwhelmingly agreed to pass a bill that will avert the Fiscal Cliff. The House approved it late that night.

The bill is pretty straightforward. Income tax rates will only rise on those making over $400K (liberals wanted $250K, GOP wanted no taxes to rise). Spending cuts will be delayed for 2 months to give the sides more time to address them.
So why is the bill 157-pages long?

Because when Washington does business and passes a huge bill, there are all kinds of little other pre-existing tax things most Americans have never heard of, but which needed to be extended, that also get into the bill. It's just how it works.

    1. There's a provision extending a tax policy related to Puerto Rican rum.

    2. And a tax credit for 2- and 3-wheel electric vehicles.

    3. Something having to do with Diesel Fuel:

    4. An extension of some special rules for the film and television business.

    5. A gift to the car-racing world.

    6. Help to asparagus farmers.

Some might think this is nefarious — that politicians see a huge bill and then sneak in all these random things.

The reality is more like these have been around for a while, and every time a big bill comes up about taxes expiring, they get extended too.

The second page is below which includes 157 pages in pdf format. If one doesn't work try the other.

I just heard back from Carol Clark about a reading. It's a Christmas present to myself. I sent off the first email November 28th.

This is on Bill's thread: "Carol Clarke: the most consistently accurate psychic I have come across"

Posting between bouts of cleaning the kitchen floor. The only way a kitchen floor can really ever be properly cleaned. On your hands and knees, with a proper scrub brush. All kinds of ways to try and avoid it, but that is the only way that ever seems to truly work. Isn't that strange? Modern times (whatever that means) ....and this method is still the best.

Edit: there is a reason for this. Modern cleaners will get the stubborn bits off a kitchen floor. But at a cost, of damaging the surface of the floor. This equation cannot be beat, that which removes, also..removes-the floor itself, that is. Thus, the best way is to let it go a bit..and then scrub it. Properly. with a bush, on your knees. If you don't care about the lifespan of the flooring, and you and anyone in the house is amazingly..somehow... immune to nasty chemicals... then knock yourself out and do it the 'modern' way. Either way, there's no free rides.

If i may.....This Cleaner Simple Green works wonders with hot water. Removes dirt and grease nicely. No scrubbing.

    some little help needed
    Dear friends,
This is a message from Skippy, a friend from Avalon.

My daughter was taken urgently to a hospital with a peritonitis and she is now fighting for her life. Could you be so kind to send her a little prayer. Her name is Marie and she is 5 years old.

    Thanks a lot, Marcel.
Hey Villagers, Let's please resend out our thoughts, intentions of healing and prayers for this young child Marie. And does anyone know how she is doing?

Yes, I received a PM this morning from Skippy/Marcel. I'm sure he'd be okay if I shared part of it. Marie is still in the hospital but doing well. She's well enough to paint a big heart.

I'd say stick to rhubarb. You'd have to sell your soul to become part of the 'asparagus gang'.

I noticed I didn't even bother to shake my head. I see it as more fuel to wake people up.

I come from an asparagus growers villages, I could tell all what is needed to grow and eat asparagus. The secret: sandy land, right timing. I do love a few sticks of rhubarb too.

Well Villagers...gonna do some part-time volunteer work at Cape Abilities.

They are nearby and have been around for a while and have quite a network in this area...a couple of small farms too!

Was prompted to stop in there today, filled out an app and will have a mini-tour this afternoon with Pat, the volunteer program director.

Got a very good feeling/vibes from Her and the place and the going ons : )

What he is talking about should be taught in all schools. So true.
I lived in Barbados and now in Costa Rica and saw many foreigners coming into these countries
trying to change the culture to whatever they were used to at home.
As someone who is married to a local I get to hear more of the comments made by the locals
and what they really think of these foreigners. Very intuitive and insightful.
They don't argue when it starts to get on their nerves, by quietly withdraw.
The parasitical types hang around longer, making the foreigners distrust all locals.
But as he says in the video, let them lead. The know what is best...and appreciate anyone's contribution.
Like one old black man told me years ago in Barbados..."I can smell their condescension from a mile away..."

4 avocados sitting on my counter and a bag of unopened blue corn chips. I feel rich. Hoarding them for a little while longer.

Thanks, Ulli. Short and sweet, with the brilliant and compassionate Vandana Shiva. Reposted a couple of places! :~)

Tell me, Colonel... Were you ever young?
Yup. And just as reckless as you. Then one day, something happened. It made life very precious to me.

Either way, there's no free rides.

the yootoob account of somoene called "MorriconeRocks"

Morricone from the wiki on him, "who has written music for more than 500 motion pictures and television series, in a career lasting over 50 years." (+400 films)

    https://youtube.com/user/Morricon...?feature=watch

I sold over 500 DVD's when BluRays (HD discs) where on their way in. I kept, uhm...maybe 4.

One of them was "once upon a time in the west", and another was 'the quiet earth'.

Of course, the Italians being romantics..it was an Italian firm which produced what is likely the vast majority of the guns seen in 'westerns'.
If i may.....This Cleaner Simple Green works wonders with hot water. Removes dirt and grease nicely. No scrubbing.
