Here and now, I am the proud (but somewhat embarrassed) winner of Ulli's Ebay auction for a necklace and earrings.

No, I'm not embarrassed because I have no holes in my ears, my Swiss Army Knife will make quick work of that minor detail. I'm embarrassed because I should have used the "buy it now" and just purchased the set for the (underpriced) fixed fee. I paid too little. Not fair to Ulli.

I meant to come back on here and tease a few of you into having a bidding war, but I was off at my daughter's school...

Oh my gosh, Belle, do you suppose that is all it takes? Because I can do that. I guess that would mean my expectations for myself are too high. Little One's first day of pre-K at the "big kids" school was fantastic. He loves the school. Em came home with a flute yesterday, and is playing with a beautiful tone today. This is, what, her fifth instrument? And M came home all giggly because Ivan held her hand today...well, kind of...well, he brushed her hand with his. And I'm really tired, but a good tired.

Truly, I can't remember the last time everyone came home happy, and it feels like I just released a muscle that has been tensed up for too long.

I am sooooo grateful.

You know what else this means? It means that I also know that someone has been sending loving thoughts my way. Actually, not A someone, but many someones...I bet a village full.

My idea about parenting was even simpler....simply made sure he didn't kill himself.
The rest would unfold all by itself, nature's way. But others, including my ex, thought I wasn't doing enough fussing....
Kids have a natural curiosity...and I never stifled that with heavy-handedness.
I still believe education should just be to teach them to read and write and then give them the Internet.
They will educate themselves, according to the interests which motivate them.

So, yes, I consider it is true that you have high expectations on yourself,
and that it might be a good idea to relax a bit.

But then again, that may not be in your nature. Cancerians like to fuss and worry.

Of course you can do it! You're a good Mom...

Someday, I hope to be as wise - and succinct! - as that grandma. For now, I expanded her words to:

"Roots" - a sense of connection, grounding, family, heritage, belonging to the Earth, true history, unconditional love

"Wings" - freedom, choices, encouragement, empowerment, self-worth, self-confidence, sense of wonder and awe, basic life skills (healthy nutrition, healthy communication, healthy relationships...mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health foundation)

In both "roots" and "wings", a non-codependent passing on of the skillset, passing the flame from torch to torch, teaching/mentoring with the full intent to allow the fledgling to: fledge, stumble, fall, get up, and fly. Goal: healthy independence.

...aw, I like grandma's version better. :~)

Another odd-anomalous form experience

A couple of days ago in the afternoon I was standing on my front porch looking East at the mountains. At about 30 degrees up and half way between me and the mountain I saw two wave form patterns.
They were parallel-perpendicular formed to each other. One of them faced me West(at 3:00 o'clock) the other faced south (at 12:00 o'clock). They were both rectangular and inside of them were these waves, oscillating and moving in a singular wave pattern, West (facing) rectangle wave was flowing down, the South (facing) rectangle was flowing up, reminded of something out of the beginning credits of the show The Outer Limits.

Both structures were clear in energy, and it looked as though someone had taken a couple of chunks out of 2 separate ley lines and then spliced them into the electromagnetic field.
The rectangles looked like they could be 3 to 5 dimensions so there was angle and depth to them.

They were definitely not water energy lines or water sound energy lines -they were not linear or close to the ground. But they did have the appearance of 2 clear almost watery wave energy windows or doors stuck together and suspended in space, but not naturally so.

Just remembered this: my gf woke me in the middle of the night, maybe 3am, to tell me a giraffe came by. It wasn't alone, many beings about, as has been the situation lately, apparently (still as insensitive as bucket of hammers), as my first question was "just a giraffe?"

Guess my mindset was, well...could be worse, we got shadow dude and smokey restless ones and angry-ish dad, plus lately she says she thinks the whole neighborhoods been swinging through, that either she's getting more sensitive or outsiders beyond the three residents--angry dad, teen girl, small boy, the shadow dude from attic/grove, and ever since she poked her head in attic like a quick restless swirl of smokey spirits roll around...that was "normal" as I understand it.

So the last few weeks, especially this past weekend, she's been telling me that our rooms been like grand central station, she notices the most when she is dolling up in front of the vanity, they seem to breeze through and she watches them in the mirror. This is even day time and duskish especially. But she always handles her ****, and keeps the fear levels down, as it is early (before she starts drinking).

At night she gets scared, drinking or not. Think the shadow dude messes with her a lot. Know there's somebody that jumps in or takes her away when she reaches point of emotional breakdown (on days when 3D drama is high, lot of that going on w her good friend cuzzie having masectomy and her family just being typical misdle class abusive un self aware & generally miserable,'taking it out on her).

Jeez sorry, lotta background...the point: she made it seem like she thought the giraffe was her cuzzie. She was fairly certain it was her (if I understood correctly in my delerious sleepy state)...I asked her why, and she tells me "cuz she told me". Apparently I fell back asleep, and said "god said everything is ok, so I went back to sleep".

I'm not sure if she meant cuzzie told her god said that, or that god is directly speaking to her now. I'll uave to ask when I get a chance, just wanted to document it now to see how my memory compares to hers...

My takeaway from the whole night was that I didn't ask what giraffe looked like, just asked who else was around.

The other part she told me this morn: in my sleep, I popped up, looked toward the bathroom (where she saw shadowy being...as she was awake checking it out) and said something to/about it...I can't remember.

Anyway, maybe it means I am getting more sensitive.

Also, anybody know anything about people manifesting as animals (giraffes) in their astral bodies?

Hi Nora, Thank You for sharing...I have been experiencing similar patterns in the skies time and again.

I had no idea my old buddy Wilko Johnson had become so famous.
The news of his pancreatic cancer made it to the top headline at Yahoo just now.
Or is that because the news are tailored to my needs, i.e., by the fact that I googled him yesterday?

Whatever, he is still on my prayer list. As is Dennis' sister-in-law.

And Donk, your girl needs to decide what she wants.
A life with phantoms hovering around, or one without those distractions.
It's a matter of choice and preference.
The drinking will attract them, as the spirit in alcohol always works like a magnet to anything
else that is lost in the spirit world.
If I needed to attract spirits, I would definitely opt for those that are more advanced than I am,
so that I can get some help and guidance.

The baby steps are getting a little bit longer every day. Soon enough we'll get out of the denial (hopefully).

She makes more decisions every here & now, takes a little tiny slice more of personal responsibility.

I find it is like in my life, the more you learn and grow, the more challenges you attract.

My focus has been to stick in little reminders, point out little things I notice, which prove that the drink is waaaaaay more of handicap than a "crutch"...I appreciate that idea to stick in the toolkit for use at the ideal time

It's such a pain in the ass, but sometimes a blessing, that so many people around us are heavier or more frequent drinkers than her. On one hand she can say, well I'm not as bad -----, and I don't drink EVERY night like -----. But I get to say: ha! Look what happened when ------ got bombed...prob not good idea, eh?

But that's all in its own time, a project for me, I guess--or an aspect of my reality I can't force, I need to slowly coax. In the here and now, I'm apparently surrounded by spirits, that maybe I'm finally getting my baby steps to be bigger. I keep searching and asking for those more intelligent/evolved beings to bring their presence to my awareness, or help guide me toward being able to be more aware.
