Having a Water Supply During a Long Term Disaster

In a disaster situation, everyone knows they need 1 gallon of water per person/a day. Due to the bulkiness and weight issues of storing water, it is not always feasible to store water for a long term disaster. Many survival experts suggest every family have a water filter in order to treat water for a long term disaster. Due to the importance of having water on hand, it is a prep item that should be viewed as a necessary investment. Therefore, find the very best water filter than you can afford. Some suggested water filters are the Berkey Water Filter, and the Katadyn Water Filters...

This is an extensive thread by Pharaohs Maze, "What are your preparations for any potential crisis situation?"

I have the Berkey Sport and saved rmauersr's information on other models below:

Berkey portable water filters are easy to use and very effective. Berkey portable water filters remove virtually all contaminants and bad flavors from water. Even pond water can be made drinkable with Berkey portable water filters.” It's much cheaper at Amazon.com for $19.49 vs. $28 on their site.

    Refill Capacity:
    Water from any source -160
    Municipal Water - 640

“At 22 ounces and weighing less than 1 pound, the sport Berkey bottle is lightweight and easy to use. No pumps, or breakdowns to worry about either.  When encountering a lake, pond, or stream, just fill up and start drinking.”

"The exclusive filter also incorporates proprietary absorbing media that are impregnated into the micro-porous filter for the IONIC absorption of pollutants into the filter such as aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, and other dangerous heavy metals."

The Katadyn Mybottle is another good choce.

There are many models from Berkey and Katadyn. For those who want the best, the expensive Katadyn Pocket water filter has an amazing capacity of 13,000 gallons depending on the water. Lifetime guaranty if that means anything anymore.

I am confused as to the identity of this man.
In the heading it says he is an ex-CIA "director" though I'm not sure exactly what that means, either.
And in the description of the video, it says that he remains nameless.
Does anyone have more info as to who this man is and what his role was?
    Thanks.

62%? Now 81% chance of Atlantic Event - Update from Climate Risk Scientist Doctor Simon Atkins from Advanced Forecasting Corporation

Quote Advanced Forecasting Corporation (Simon Atkins) has upgraded the chances of an event occurring in the North Atlantic Ocean, which would generate a tsunami that may impact the coast lines in that area, from 62% to 81%.

Below is a list of events recent activities behind this increase in chance.
    • The 7.4 Richter earthquake South of Fiji two days back.
    • The 8.2 Richter earthquake in Easter Russia yesterday.
    • Magnetic alignment down the northernhalf of the US East Coast, with heavy precipitation from NY State to the Canadian Maritimes, in actuality an 'attracting energy'.
    • Large market losses, espeically tne Nikkei Index (Japan) -- shows where main electromagnetic energy is 'pulsing' from, espeically with an 8.2 earthquake following to the north (in theory that all energy is connected)
    • Lunar eclipse / full moon(today) (which puts additional pressure on the oceans)
    • Other unusual chaotic events (washington state bridge collapse likely due to tectonic plate movement, and not egineering; two incidents of passenger aircarft engine fires due to pules of solar electromagnetic energy)

As I write this, I have been informed there is now a second bridge down in the US in the past 24 hours. I remember that Clif High has predicted, via the webbot, that bridges will probably be down in a thousand mile radios during the Global Coastal Event related activities in the USA. The second location being in Texas with a railway bridge catching fire and collapsing over the Colorado River.

The time frame for this forecast from AFC, is from now up until the 5th of June, but there may be an extension depending on any solar activity occurring at that time.

Note that this is the first time that Doctor Simon Atkins and his company Advanced Forecasting Corporation has forecasted a tsunami event to their clients. (They don't have a habit of doing this...)

Suspected plate fracture in California/ Oregon, USA : Insiders reportedly evacuating West Coast Cities

I don't mean to put the fear into anyone with this post. I just think there may be something to this considering the situation in the World right now. The timing of this event adding to everything else else going on makes you wonder.

There is definitely a bit of strange earthquake activity going on not only in this region in CA, which you can view through this link, http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/, but all around the World. Of course, this is to be expected because of the recent activity on the Sun, but the readers out there who are aware of the many predictions for this period in time, may understand that there is possibly a whole lot more to this.

The swarm of small quakes are centred around roughly 10km's north west of Greenville in California, USA.

The larger 5.7 Richter earthquake that struck yesterday (yesterday in Australia that is) was also in that region. Here is a picture of that region.

And here (take link for images) is the location of all the quakes below with the white circle being the 5.7 magnntude quake yesterday. As you can see, in the map above in comparison to the map below, the location is on the Southern East corner of Lake Almanor.

If you are in California, just be aware of this and perhaps start keeping an eye on the situation more closely. Also see my post from yesterday, 'Possible Volcanic eruption luming in Lassen Volcanic National Park, California', if you missed it.

Here is the post from The Daily Sheeple regarding the subject of this article.

Via thedailysheeple.com, 24 May 2013 (Thanks Shannon) - After fifty earthquakes struck Northern California in the last 24 hours, and a massive quake in eastern Russia measuring 8.2 on the Richter scale, reports are emerging that some high profile individuals on the U.S. west coast have begun evacuating their families.

Unidentified international dignitaries have likewise been reportedly flown out of the San Francisco area.

The reasoning is that there may be a suspected massive “plate fracture” occurring off of the Oregon/California coast.

    Received by Steve Quayle:

    Quote
    "Something HUGE is going down….

Just had Two 5.7 earthquakes just north of Sacramento near Lassen Volcanic National Park. Don’t normally post this kind of thing just giving you a heads up…
All I can say is someone was given the word that California is about to get a big one. Moving their family out right now. They are in San Jose. Not someone who would joke around unless they knew something…

I really don’t want to freak anyone out but this is legit info… I’m sorry, just knew when this guy said something that he was worried. He was given the word to move VIPs then told to get out of Cali. Like NOW!

Key dignitaries from SanFran consulates have been flown out.

Suspected plate fractures off Oregon, Cali coast. A double header. That’s all I know.."
