Are you talking about international law?
The photos I saw seem to be mostly from China,
where it appears anything goes,
as far as animals is concerned.

If they forbid the dying of pets
they might also consider not putting them in their soups.
I have seen some shocking stuff.


Also, I need to mention, I'm not in favor of messing with pets in any way, other than keeping them clean.
I also find most grooming excessive.

Received an e-mail just now full of pictures of painted or died dogs and cats...

not sure what to make of this trend.

When it sees this reflected in the double glazing it's going to go berserk.

('Berserk' for Sierra and in memory of my Dad who always used to pronounce it as a spondee)

I know many of You have slept with crystals and such under Your pillow through the years...the past few nights my dreams have been phenomenal involving Loved Ones/ Family/Friends in past/present and future type scenarios of well, just fun and reunions and reconnections. I have put 2 sizable quartz crystals either side of my head under the pillow at eye/temple level...it has been, ummm, out of this world : )

Good morning, my friends. Am temporarily stuck in the city, car trouble, since yesterday. It is funny how this happened, like the Universe had a hand in it. Since Em and I live so far from civilization, shopping doesn't happen often. Which I have no problem with, haha. But it does make things like school clothes a bit of an adventure. So we set out with a plan, a strategy, to hit only certain stores on a very well thought out route, starting out by us and eventually ending up in the city. One day and done.

It worked quite well, this plan. Power shopping. We were at our last stop, decided we would head home, exhausted but feeling we had accomplished more than we normally would in three trips. Got in the car to head home, car wouldn't start.

As it worked itself out, we are reminded how much we have to be grateful for. Even though the old pos we just got for M wouldn't start, which was the back up plan, and even though Mike and Little One were two hours away in the country anxiously awaiting our arrival home.

I am reminded, blatently and unmistakably, Universe is taking care of us.

Grateful for a cool place, grateful to be in the midst of family, grateful to still have this place in the city, grateful to have learned how to create this shield, and grateful to be returning to the peace and quiet very shortly.

Amazing how the universe works! Love it. Wouldn't have it any other way. A couple of weeks ago, the clutch went out on mee truck, as I was going over Snoqualmie pass. We were delayed just long enough for my wife and I to take a walk with the dogs. We found a small cave and huddled in it for fun. We had a blast! We did not make it to our appointment, but we found out later that the clinic that we were going to had shut down for the day. (some flooding damage, and they had to close for the day)

When we got back to the truck, and tried to engage the clutch,,, it was fine!! No problems. We simply drove home with huge grins. It has not happened since, and I have taken it to a shop to see if there are any problems, but nothing.

Yes, Jake, exactly! On Friday, I realized I was sending out entirely too much negativity about this trip...dread, anxiety, a bunch of knotted up crap. So I changed what I was sending out, I visualized the roads we would travel, visualized the stores, visualized how much fun Em and I would have since we can giggle for hours over thing most people don't even notice. I visualized the salespeople, the whole experience. And I sent out nothing but good stuff.

First store, Em must have tried on fifty shirts, no joke. Now normally, she would have gotten all upset and then I would have gotten upset, but instead we ended up with a whole bag full of stuff she adores

At about 3:00, we were wearing out. Had done jeans, shoes, and shirts. Had to finish up with some gym type shorts for marching band. It was about 105f, in the middle of the concrete jungle, no shade for miles, got into the car and put the key in, it turned over but wouldn't start. I looked at Em with a hint of panic, she looked back with the same. Took the key out, put it back in and it started right up. Now, if the Universe had not been taking care of us, we would have been stuck about 30 minutes away in the heat in the middle of thousands of people and their collective stress, in the heat of the day in Texas.

But no. Got real close to our house here, finished up, then the car died. Just so happened that K and her boyfriend were getting ready to go to a wedding, had just enough time to get us, and our haul, home where we would be fine. Funny, they left thinking we would go on home to the country. We grabbed the key, jumped in the pos, wouldn't even turn over. This morning? Pos started right up. Haha. Just to make sure we stayed here though, the pos (unbeknonst to us until the light of day) also had a flat tire. So the (obvious) reason it wouldn't start is because if it had I would have gotten stuck at night outside our neighborhood with a flat tire.

So, for whatever reason, and I do Trust there is a reason, we stayed put. There are so many more ways the Universe intervened, but that's enough sharing for one day.

Jake and 1inMany, both your stories remind me of my ancient convertible VW in Barbados. The gas gauge didn't work, and I would run out of gas quite frequently. The weird part was that it never happened when I was in the middle of nowhere...like some sugar cane field, which could have been dangerous, but always within feet of a gas station.
Or uphill from it, so I could just let it roll right in.

Go check your tooth pasted, does it have Fluoride or SLS in it? that's FAR worse for you than a simple dye that men and women use(, especially in their elder years) quite often.



The insanity that this type of legislation represents baffles me.... and erodes what little faith in humanity I have left.

I googled it...apparently the only state where it is illegal to dye dogs hair is Florida.

So now I have my own theory how that legislation came about...

Some people must have really gone overboard.....nothing better to do than pamper their pets to death.

I have my own theory as well...

We hate most that which we see in ourselves, and FL,,,, well how many "blue hairs" live there again? I think that is THE #1 retirement state in the US.

oh what beautiful proof of humanities foibles...... or failings.
