    Me of so little faith...
I ordered four gas masks on Friday! One for each of us in this house. Freaking out about Syria and world war three, mainly because I don't understand it enough to unravel it. Got so worried that I drank the concoction that I started several months ago to extract the essence from roses. It was supposed to turn out to be rose oil. In truth it was roses soaked in vodka for three months. I think the word was tincture to describe the process. Anyway I drank the tincture after waking up in the middle of the night stressing over war over this weekend. So much for natural health products, I slept like a baby and was ready to start all over again with a warriors strength in the morning. My only wish... I had a self-sustainable farm with the ability to save and feed everyone I love!

I know I have endotheworlditus! IF I didn't think this world was worth saving it would not be so severe!

On a wonderful note my granny has decided maybe twenty-five days of radiation and chemo are not such a good idea! I ordered some tulips, grape hyacinths and crocus bulbs to plant in the yard for the spring.

I know she will be here to enjoy them from her favorite chair that looks out the window! This is meant to be a surprise. I hope I can keep a secret!

Much love to all of you beautiful, awesome villagers! Life is good!
    Julia

Made some banana nut bread today during a much needed thunder storm. I'm so grateful. Watched the ion clouds come in charging the air. Heck of a storm -Rained for 3 hours and the lightning cracked and thunder boomed.

Sitting on my front porch reveling in the negatively charged clear energy created by the storm and eating warm banana nut bread with butter.

Here is a picture I took this past weekend of the Red Oak grove-forest I live in -this is in the northern part of the forest.

It is harder than ever to stay anchored in the Here and Now while war is looming, I find.
Is my mind paying tricks on me?
Yet the smallest effort to become present is instantly rewarded.
Suddenly I can hear nature's noises, river, bird song,
and now that the bridge is open again I can hear cars on the road above.

I had a dream this morning, I was in Knightsbridge, London, and was telling someone how I once had lived there, and often when shopping in Peter Jones I would see at least a dozen women wearing my clothes then, and now I don't know what is going on.
And this person made a derogatory remark about how unsophisticated and old fashioned everything was back then and I said at least then there was a lot less crime.

So Im now trying to figure out what the dream meant.
It has something to do with aging, and escaping into memories of the "good old days"
just as the older people were doing long ago when I was still young,
and they felt out of place with the material progress around them. I used to think of them as whiners.
To me your dream seems to be telling simply that things are changing in London. So you do not know what is going on. Didn't the parliament voted against going into Syria?? There were lot less crime then because UK would not even dream of invading another country, at that time. And who knows, there might be lots less crime once again. It could also be the other way around, some attack being there.

Exhausted. Just got home from the emergency room, nothing serious. Em got twelve stitches, nine in one leg and three in the other. She dropped a plate, which hit the counter on the way to the floor, and it caught both her legs, thigh level.

Good news is that I went in armed and walked out unscathed. Well, I think so anyway. Will see how much clearing happens overnight.

Anyway, exhausted but can't sleep. Don't ya just hate that?

Sounds like a new cocktail: the Bloody Anemic Mary! Should be OK if you enjoy vodka.

Heretogrow, endoftheworlditis is so last year! It didn't happen then, and it won't happen now But I'm not pretending I shouldn't feel too comfortable if I were in Syria...

For the dear old granny, Flash might have picked up a few ideas on her thread? Alternatively something with roses and... well perhaps not.

The wonderful Paul has been rounding up my strays from Saturday for reposting. There were some zebras, which belong here, and also a reference to the 100% red heifer that is supposed to be adequate penance for starting Armageddon. I was suggesting we could spoil its hairdo, and will post it h ere as well.

    Have a great day everyone.

Quote Some Fundamentalist Christians believe that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ cannot occur until the Third Temple is constructed in Jerusalem, which requires the appearance of a red heifer born in Israel. Clyde Lott, a cattle breeder in O'Neill, Nebraska, United States, is attempting to systematically breed red heifers and export them to Israel to establish a breeding line of red heifers in Israel in the hope that this will bring about the construction of the Third Temple and ultimately the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_heifer (Above from Wikipedia) I recall reading that some neocon Christian U.S. Representatives had invested in this endeavor, hoping to speed the process along. Two red heifers that had been considered candidates were found to have been "blemished" (determined by a Rabbi in Israel?), however, there's apparently a new one, that if held to be unblemished for 3 years (it was born in 2010?), will be the one that will signal "the end". There's lots of info on this if you do a search with words like: red heifer, Armageddon, unblemished, Israel, etc., and if you can stomach the bizarre web sites you may find...oiiii.
Instead of turning gray over this, let's apply a little RSA to the red heifer and turn one or two of her hairs gray.

Here I am in a car park waiting for my partner to finish at the doctors. Its been a warm 23 degree day in Canberra, Australia.
The sun is setting on a busy day and the background city noise is disturbing the silence of my car's retreat.
I do rather enjoy my rare peaceful moments of solitude... And thus here I am with the very cliche of today's technology... A iphone with a broken screen, on an internet forum...

Thank you Paul for digging up my lost posts.
Some of them I could have easily donated to the hacker,
they were not really worth saving....

so now I'm feeling guilty that you went out of your way for me.

There is a lesson here for me... in future more effort, please, ulli.

But then again, what is this that I can't appreciate
that which my hands have wrought?
This harsh self judgment, which was with me when I was doing fashion collections,
and it is still with me now?

This is what drives fashion...this striving for newness.

Anyway, there is one gif worth rescuing,
It was for Meeradas, and he never saw it, so here it is again:

And what about the shredded nerves?

This was a serious wake-up call, no wonder you can't sleep.
Soothing energies are called for here, not only for Em, but the whole family,

This time last year, my wife got a nasty gash in the arm, three layers deep, but now you have to know where to look to see the scar. Let's hope Em was stitched up as neatly as that. There is no point carrying around the trauma of the moment for the rest of your life.

Here's a blind concert pianist. Any concert pianist could probably play blindfold, but learning the stuff without being able to read music is pretty astounding.

Default Re: Here and Now...What's Happening?

Now that we’ve all had to change our passwords, let me tell you my old one. As I mentioned somewhere a while back, I pinched my pseudo from someone who I thought didn’t need it any more: a Guardian cryptic crossword compiler who, it turned out, was still in business and turned ninety shortly after I joined Avalon 2 ½ years ago.

On a topical note, Araucaria’s latest effort was published on July 13 although he announced back in January (in a crossword of course, indicating that he had ’18 down of the 19, which is being treated with 13 15’) that he was suffering from ‘cancer’ of the ‘oesophagus’ (a subject that synchronistically came up in another connection in conversation yesterday) and receiving ‘palliative care’. While one would expect this to be a nonagenarian’s last battle, he is certainly giving his illness a run for its money. This is doubtless due to a positive attitude whereby his clue for 18 down was ‘Sign of growth’ – sign as in astrological sign, growth as in tumor, but ambiguous because the positive sense is more obvious. To see illness as a sign of growth is indeed a positive message that I want to pass on to Flash. It certainly helped me only this summer.

When I joined the forum, Atticus/Charles was airing his insider knowledge of the ‘33’ rulers of the world, who apparently split shortly afterwards. So when I chose a password, I thought of security as ‘not giving a clue’, but possibly instead giving a clue address, namely ’33 down’ (there may have been a bit of punctuation as well). Hence, whenever a hacker came along and found this by now useless password, he would at least be reminded at this coded level of the upper level campaign to bring about the downfall of the elite. They are so keen on of every kind of symbology, I just thought I would join in

You were right, Ulli. What an ordeal. I don't know why it is that I can do some things really well, handle most crises in a calm manner and fall apart later...but...when it comes to bloody things, forget about it. Just one of those things. It is taken care of now, and the stitches are very neat, tidy, Em says she sees beauty in them because they are symmetrical. So I'm hoping, auracaria, that she actually doesn't get a long-term reminder.

I have a lot of compassion for Em, first there is not a single possibility of her fitting in. But one of her biggest challenges appears to be maneuvering this physical body. I have refused to tell her she is clumsy even one time. And I tell her all the time that she has inner grace. It only takes watching her for a little bit to realize that she isn't real coordinated. Just a small thing, but I don't want her growing up focusing on the fact that she can't go a week without multiple falls over her own feet.

So, thank you for the soothing energy. Em needs it, and she can always use a shot of "you are loved for who you are, you are loveable, and you are valuable."

She could also use a shot of "do your Algebra homework!" Hahaha.

    Much Love,

Oh, and I am so, so grateful to have my thank you button back. It is always trying to my nerves to "tiptoe" through the village. That's what it feels like when I read and (try to) share from my phone.

Wow, araucaria, that is one deep oesophagus.
I believe I have underestimated you until now. I must apologize.

By the way, we are less than 100 posts away from the 33,333.
Would you like me to reserve the space for you?
