This is the one thread where members moderate themselves. Considering the size of the thread, its amazing that the thread has had as little mod intervention as it has. I missed the most recent altercation, and thats just as well, as my own view would likewise be against the current grain. Where some see fantastic stories and superpowers, I tend to see a lot of suppressed thoughts and emotions, and hence a lot of projection. Of course, I have a bias, as well, having my own understanding of what is necessary to have what one might call a stable magical practice. If we could show Jim one thing, I would have it be how to love himself without all scientology trappings. Or, maybe he does, and I am the one with the tree in my eye.

I have to say this. Last night there was a post that disappeared. But it wasn't deleted. I swear. Bill posted something (content not important for this purpose). It is post number 33728. Then, jiminii posted a response to something Freed Fox said. Then, Rakhyt posted his poetic prose. And at the beginning of Rakhyt's post, he said to jim to remember the Village is a place of peace. I refreshed the page, and noticed that what Rakhyt said to jiminii wasn't there any more, and instead there is a note that his (Rakhyt's) post was edited for unnecessary content. And jiminii's post has disappeared. Rakhyt's post is number 33729. There is no blank post between, there is no edited post between, there is nothing between.

I know what I saw. This is just...weird.

Report this to Paul, we may have a visitor. In fact, I will if you do not mind. Yet, am aware that it may be nothing, just all self moding from each poster.

May be you were much too wired!!???

One can't see it until the chaos becomes so unbearable that one cries from the depth of one's being for some help, change, an answer...and then it comes. It is quite stunning when it first happens. Then it's quickly forgotten again, then another wave, etc., until a pattern is discerned.

This is the dance I'm doing right now. Some might have noticed that I haven't posted here for a few days. Not because I didn't have the time or I didn't have anything to say. Dipping in and out of the first bit of wakefulness...

I'm fighting (working with?) this the best I know how.

Saw this yesterday (I think it was yesterday ):

Sounds reasonable? It was written in 1908 as bullet point 8 of the Manifesto of Futurism. To give you a flavor of the context, here’s bullet point 9:

We will glorify war—the only true hygiene of the world—militarism, patriotism, the destructive gesture of anarchist, the beautiful Ideas which kill, and the scorn of woman.

Negativity got a hundred years start before positivity even got its pants on. That’s a pretty fast tortoise for a hare to overtake.

In the last exercise in communication, I have seen both, projections and forces. They tend to work together sometimes, don't know why, it must be to show the intelligent ones their frailties and what they have to work on. Failures to see right away means projections and there, we keep working with the force - in the wrong direction.

I was wired up too last night and could not sleep, two nights in a row. Ouf!

I had some problems and had to stop all hormonal therapies for at least one month (yes, I am getting there, nature changes). Life is hot and sleep far in between!!!

I am driving quite a lot these days to school, the university very quite far, and I give a lift to two women, one originally from Haiti and the other originally from Tunisia. It is fall here and I am sill blasting my air conditoner in the car. They must thing "she is a real Canadian, loving the cold" LOL.

This is me in my mad hatter days, in 1988, together with my friend Simon (RIP) We were in Mustique, a tiny private Caribbean island. By that time had had already seen UFOs while I had to wait another 6 years before my first sighting.
I still feel as young today as I look in that picture...thats the weird thing about aging. Im sure everyone can relate.

Interesting points, Ulli. Seriously. The soul cannot be divided...yet...the whole soul does not reside in this body. It couldn't possibly, to my way of thinking. A couple of things struck me about what you just said. First, I am sorry you cannot express these experiences you judge as odd, weird, really out there. I understand, because of all the weird experiences I have shared, they have only been a fraction of the All of them. So, yes, I get it...but...I wish you would feel more comfortable too.

And secondly, I am reminded of the individuality of our experiences. On the one hand, I see plenty of similarities in different paths. The clearing jim talks about is very, very similar to the experience of allowing things to fall away (possibly like what Adyashanti teaches), but the way to get there is completely different. These different groups...those who study the paranormal (ghosts), and those into metaphysics (dimensions), and those into spirituality (higher self)...they use different languages.

My own thinking here, is that there are so many different languages because we are all so different. You've been looking into timelines and such here lately, and jim talks about that, and his words or his language and methods might really call to you. They don't necessarily call to me, but I might learn the same thing in another language.

To me, that is the beauty of this experience at this time. It is our saving grace. Of course, you know me, the way I survive is by finding the commonalities...

The soul is the part that spans all space and all eternity. The level of existence

The body, at death, starts to dissolve, moisture evaporates, and the cohesiveness which is there while animated by spirit, no longer applies.
The difference between soul and spirit is a question of consciousness, or self awareness. Everything living has spirit, but not necessarily soul. Soul identity is the knowledge that I AM. I Am HERE, NOW, ALWAYS, and I have a plan that goes further than mere survival strategy. A creative plan, a vision. This to me is the difference between spirit which is animating life forms, and soul. I still see a lot of confusion about this subject, but to me it is pretty clear. All humans are born with the seed of soul in them, but not all seeds sprout.

Personality is the part or parts that we project at our environment, and it changes all the time. We play roles with different people, defending who we are talking to. Friends usually get to see a different face from that which we show our parents.
Strangers yet another, our ability to present a mask is not to be underestimated.
But none of that has anything to do with the soul.

That depends on the newbie. If he is a Virgo he or she will not want to leave a stone unturned. An Aries might just jump in, do their thing and get out again without waiting for an answer.
As far as I'm concerned, as a thread starter, I don't mind what people do.

When I woke up that morning I was feeling burnt out and a bit disappointed about my earlier astrology thread, which was meant to be a study circle but ended up with me getting nearly ten requests a day for chart readings, and the number was growing as some people only joined Avalon for the purpose of getting a free reading and then leave again.
I did over 80 charts there, and have another 80 requests I never got around to doing. That's when I had to put a stop to it.
I still use astrology for certain crisis moments, to get an idea of what energies are going on, but am far more interested now in the need for community building.
This is the most urgent thing if humanity is to survive. The communication skills we learn here on the forum can then serve us in our own 3D neighborhoods one day.
By the way, you added a bonus zero to the number of posts there. We are not even anywhere near 40,000, let alone 330,000.

Ah, but ulli, don't you remember how drama seems to erupt every time we get all festive? Not to mention the energetic steamroller that seems to go flying to Costa Rica? Not saying I won't be here if we have a party....
