I always had this understanding that before the new earth and humanity were going to be born,
things were going to become so difficult that nothing would work anymore,
all normal, logical approaches would be doomed to fail,
and the only thing that would get people through this time would be faith in God.
And this is not a projected outside God, but our inner connection to the Absolute.
This private place, where we draw all of our strength from, which of course varies from person to person.

As`long as we are in victim mode nothing will work out for us...
we have no more recourse than to tap into our inner powers.
This is about us, and how we keep in top shape, spiritually.
Let's share our little triumphs here,
and prop one another up when someone starts to slip...
but if possible let us use our own light
and refrain from sharing videos of other Internet gurus.
I don't mind music, or art, or stories, but not preachers.
I myself try really hard not to post YouTube speakers, no matter how good they are.

Maybe some of them are totally brilliant, and should be given a thread of their own,
but I really want this place to be the Villager's own place, where they can enjoy the benefits of being members of a cohesive group...
So what I'm saying is that all of us are gurus here, each one better than Gregg or Dolores,
or Abraham Hicks, or even the greats like Gurdjieff and Osho.
Ok ulli, suppose i still am not totally healed from "Guru disease" and surely there are other threads for those...Here's my recent one

And now i will watch "Everything for Sweden" Swedish Americans coming to Sweden competing to meet their relatives. They go through all kinds of tests like peeling a crow and serve as a meal and other physical and mental contests. They find Sweden to be Paradise on earth and call it their real home etc but of course they never go to the grey suburbs with high unemployment where most of the immigrants and fugitives are "piled up" and shootings and burnings occur now and then.

I think I just found the Buddha...

Haha, so that's where the Buddha disappeared to.

Osho told this story about how the Buddha entered him for a couple of days...
and after looking through Osho's eyes got so freaked out seeing how the world had changed
since he was last incarnated here,
    that he vanished again.

Thought itself, as we know it and understand it.. thought arises from the deepest part of the mind, which is that of a cloud of the fundaments of emotion. The emotional spin and coloration, to some degree or another... is on every thought we may have.

Shooting and burnings occur now and then - sounds pretty good to me compared with some North American neighborhoods in some cities (comparison level is daily).

Thought itself, as we know it and understand it.. thought arises from the deepest part of the mind, which is that of a cloud of the fundaments of emotion. The emotional spin and coloration, to some degree or another... is on every thought we may have.
Thought processes are slower than feelings as there are any number of options to consider,
while feelings are only two-fold; good or bad, comfortable or uncomfortable,
just like instinct (which is in charge of survival), where the options are fight or flight..

The thing with thoughts is this:
By seeing a larger range of options, a menu of choices, one can weigh options carefully
and decide on the best plan of action.
Not so with feelings on their own, which just say yes or no.

A kid who decided (decisions mean thought) to save up their weekly pocket money for a bicycle
can either give into the feel-good temptation of buying an ice cream with that money instead,
and therefore never get that bicycle.
So for anything that is more than a whim discipline is required,
feelings need to be ignored, and that only works via thought processes, like reminders.

But on the whole, all three (instinct-feeling-thought) need to be active.
Feelings provide enthusiasm and are not to be sniffed at.
Without enthusiasm there can be no action.

Ah, Ulli, something I can finally bite into. And thanks for dropping by my page.

This dynamic of mundane versus esoteric has had me stumped for so long. And with the work on energy modalities, most notably yoga and reiki, it has become a morass of conflicting experiences and understanding and focus. Until recently.

Recently I have come to understand a very important and fundamental component of our life here on earth: that I am my own guru. It is this forever-old dichotomy that leaves most of us perplexed and unconvinced. And in that very confused state, whether we acknowledge it or not, we fall back on the tried-and-true conditioning that has kept us prisoner for so long. We retreat to our familiar strongholds that are easily defended without the need for comprehension or even a functioning philosophical precept. It is a packaged contrivance that all can buy into and easily defend by dint of numbers alone, never mind the infinite set of examples that support its basic tenets. But they are a contrivance none the less and are therefore not true.

To counter this preponderance of evidence that wrestles every experience into submission with preconceived reactive measures requires a superhuman effort barely worthy of consideration because of its ineffectiveness. Yet isn't that statement part and parcel of the mindset we all inherit as conditioning in our early years?

    Is it true?

    Hardly.

In any circumstance, at every moment, each of us has access to the truth. It runs just below the dialog most of us consider to be our rational selves working on current issues in our lives - the mind talk. Yet if you listen, you will hear another voice that undoes all the so-called rational thinking and lays in plain sight, the plain truth. Often this voice is not what we want to hear - it's not part of the script. So often we just ignore it (we are all well conditioned ignorers). Still, the voice, if we are being honest, is far more compelling than the loud and often wild clamor of our usual thoughts.

The voice is so foreign that it can be misunderstood as delusional thinking. Yet just as our usual thoughts always find another to blame or a fresh excuse to vindicate our actions, the voice always brings it back to you. We attack ourselves and then wonder where the attack came from, due to our conditioning. The voice calmly holds you accountable, for you are the center of creation. You create what you observe. There is no one else.

And the voice will tell you the secret to undoing all trauma and sorrow. It will tell you that you must guard your thoughts. That it is your duty to hold the truth in your mind and never waver, never relent, never give in. It will also tell you to act in accordance with divine law - all the time, not only when convenient or you're in the mood. All the time, every moment.

And we would say that that is impossible, that is asking too much of us. Still, the voice would relentlessly maintain that is what you do now, only you serve the wrong master and pay it homage above the Creator. And you do it with a single-minded focus worthy of a jedi master. Imagine if your will was not your own but that of your Creator! Imagine how a life lived on the path, in line with divine law, would completely change the focus, the potential.

You are your own guru, always have been. Your guardian angel is closer to you than you can imagine. The power of light is within us. Guard your thoughts well...
Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. Bruce Lee

Free will can only be as free as the mind that conceives it.

The quote in the picture is very untrue, but I'm convinced that, what's needed, more than ever, is a bunch of enlightened fools. Or to put it in a more acceptable format: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.", Magaret Mead

And now the Americans are riding a bus with a countrymusic dance band and the musicians stops to pee just next to the road. The Americnas go In the US you'll go to jail for doing this they say!

It's rather moving actually as they start to read about their ancestors sitting outside the house where they were living before emigrating to America, fascinated to discover incredible similarities in profession and character and all of them start to cry...

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart" ~ Helen Keller

Thanks Wind. I was thinking about HeartMath the other day but forgot to follow-up. Guess it means, follow up. Hee.

I wish everyone in the world would watch it. Many have. The count is 163,583, since 2/12. This is so absolutely true for me. It's the simple secret to health.

    Mysteries of the Heart

    Uploaded on Feb 6, 2012

The Institute of HeartMath (http://www.heartmath.org) shares fascinating understandings of the human heart as explored in more than 20 years of its research. The 'Did you know' facts are lesser-known gems of information to enlighten curiosity on how your own thoughts and emotions are affecting yourself and others.

HeartMath Research Director Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., says, "It's important to take a pause and really consider what our emotions are contributing to our environment and to other people. Our research and its applications can help people create a positive emotion-based environment that has real effects on physiology."

McCraty said that the true nature of human emotion is one of care and love. He said HeartMath and other research shows that by focusing on these core heart-felt emotions, it can enhance one's connection with others, and that this connection extends far beyond the individual.

Oh, sorry, Ulli. I'm going down the posts. I reposted the one on HeartMath from Wind. Feel free do delete, and I'll add to The NetWork Hub thread.

I welcome anyone to add their information there as well. There's not a lot of dialogue. It's designed as a quick check of what's happening from all areas.

    I don't delete, Paula,
actually, I can only delete my own posts.
Most of us here already know what Heartmath is about, Im sure, I've known about it for ten years.

Anyway, what I meant to discourage was the promoting of people who "have all the answers"
as that would only diminish us finding out who we are and what answers we ourselves might come up with.

Paula, your last post had me confused, as it showed the text Im pasting below. Since then I have gone to a few other websites, and there is this text again.
So something is wrong, and I hope I don't have a virus on this iPad.

So please forgive me if my reply was a bit strange.

Here is what your post looked like, apart from the mention re Heartmath.

I fixed it for ya -- the 11-th character on the 21-st line should have been an F, not a D.
