Is that really true?
I searched and couldn’t find where I said that unless it’s part of the whole topic I shared. I stay away from the meat vs. no meat discussions. People usually post to defend their position. I have no need to do that. It’s a waste of time and energy. Besides that’s why God invented the Goggle-Goggle
Protein Content of Green Vegetables compared to Meat?

“Remember whole grains, beans and seeds are also high in protein and should be utilized to achieve adequate protein on a diet with no or minimal animal products.”

In the chart here, an equal caloric amount (100 calories) of porterhouse steak is compared to broccoli, romaine lettuce and kale. Broccoli provides the greatest amount of protein per calorie.
Green vegetables are all rich in protein, and relatively low in calories. They provide generous amounts of most micronutrients with no cholesterol and virtually no fat. Meat on the other hand, is relatively low in micronutrients. Remember whole grains, beans and seeds are also high in protein and should be utilized to achieve adequate protein on a diet with no or minimal animal products. But the point in this example was to illustrate how weight-loss favorable green vegetables are and that no matter how many green vegetables you eat, you still cannot take in too many calories. If you fill up on greens, they will reduce your desire and ability to overeat.
Please note that 100 calories of steak is only about one ounce, which is not much meat to fill you up. More typically, 4 – 8 ounces is eaten, supplying too many calories and too much animal protein without the lifespan enhancing micronutrients. Bottom line—eat more greens and less meat to get more micronutrient bang per caloric buck and to suppress your calorie intake.
No Meat? Where Do You Get Your Protein?

I enjoy the logical answers, the one's that get them thinking. - "Where do I get my PROTEIN? - The same way "meat" gets it's protein...GREENS"
- "How are you supposed to gain muscle without eating any meat?" - My answer: "You are right...we should tell the elephants that" The biggest animals - elephants, gorillas, rhinoceroses, hippos and giraffes all eat predominantly green vegetation.
- Did you know that 100 calories of STEAK has 5.4 grams of PROTEIN? Guess how much PROTEIN 100 calories of BROCCOLI has? 11.2 grams.
- "I have never met anyone who has been diagnosed with a "protein deficiency." Should I be worried? LOL! Most American's get TOO much animal protein (the average American eats over 100 grams a day- an unhealthy amount. Adults only require 30 grams a day). When a diet is centered around WHOLE unprocessed foods (vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts & seeds) the diet contains a healthy amount of protein. It does not need to be a concern.
- FACT: Green vegetables are about 1/2 protein, 1/4 carb and 1/4 fat.
- "Well I for sure don't consume my protein via ANIMALS...are you kidding me?" Did you know that ANIMAL PROTEIN promotes every stage of cancer in rates? The amount of ANIMAL PROTEIN consumption in CHINA directly correlates with CANCER incidence? (Read THE CHINA STUDY)
- "Which has more protein - oatmeal, ham or a tomato?" The answer is that they all have about the same amount of protein per calorie. The difference is, the tomato and the oatmeal have FIBER and many other nutrients that fight disease. HAM- not only comes from a PIG, an animal that does not have sweat glands- GROSS! But it contains cholesterol and saturated fat. Now- remember...SATURATED FAT and DIETARY Cholesterol cause the number one killer in this country- HEART DISEASE. All animal products are devoid of FIBER!

What i like about these guys is that they appeal to all ages and it's not about violence, sex, drugs or being "crazy in love"...Awesome friendly guys from Norway hitting the fan (is this a correct expression?)
