After watching the video thought of my Kayak trip on the Yukon and paddling through Miles Canyon the walls were made up of basalt columns and the video in question speaks more to me as a natural geologic feature.

at 5:30 seconds the canyon walls can be seen unfortunately the hexagonal pillars on the right side of the canyon are obscured by the sun shadow.

An awful lot of police on that river, lol. Keeping the kayakers in line I guess Seriously though, great scenery - it must have been awesome!

thanks DeDukshyn it was a fun trip ...2 months and over 1000 miles and one portage around Whitehorse but the rest of the journey was truly amazing...

does anyone else feel the landmark in question is natural?

Does the anomaly look natural ? natural or computer glitch? some say it could be a google earth software glitch.
If so there should be other examples of this.
Can anyone show pillars like this on google earth ocean in another location?
    It sure is strange.

Well I loaded up google earth, checked a few views and concluded, as I originally did -- there are no column there, it's all an illusion based on the way google earth chose to artificially "light" the scene. The "view" in the OP video of "looking out between the columns" was a complete fabrication.

    Well done - thanks.

(So should I now speculate that Google has noticed this unfortunate leak of information, and covered it up ?)

That must be what happened, lol The irony is that the people who put the claim together in the first place would have analyzed it from the same angles I did and seen that it is not a cave and the "light" shaded areas are not columns at all, but I guess the motivation for "fame" (or ad payments via youtube) is a formidable foe of reality.

BTW (before someone questions it) I did view it from its "popular" angle as well and it still looks the same as presented in the OPs video.

I reserve any judgement on what this anomaly is. Frankly we just don't no. When you look at it with google maps (satellite) it looks very strange indeed.
At 2 miles per inch resolution this area stands out. What is interesting is the good detail to the north and south. Just my 2C observation.

Update on this discovery. This is from Jimmy talking to Richard Dolan.
Below video conversation (starts around the 1:20 time mark)

From new data this anomaly is not as deep as first reported.
It was first reported to be 1200 feet deep to the top of the roof.
Now it looks to be 100-200 feet deep and possible could be
reached by divers? Also it may have been built pre ice age
10,000 years ago which would put it on dry land at that time.

    Cheers......

So do we know if anyone is planning to dive and check it out?

    Onawah I think that's a key question.
Jimmy Church has eluded he's working on a exploration mission. I don't think he's ready to share
the details during the planning stages. Perhaps being only a few hundred feet down will make this much easier.
