For everyone here, the question of why slur Adamus by writing Adumus - what a weird question. Mine would be why automatically and i mean automatically presume that other's intent are to harm or misinform, because they mispell.

On this forum there is dyslexics, dysphasics, who usually have problems with words spelling and expressions, and there is a bundle or people who are not English speaking to start with. So why presume right from the start that our mispelling is a negative intent???

So now, if I am not mistaken, Jake speaks at least two languages, I speak 3 1/2 (one is badly spoken) and others more. How do you expect, for god sake, to master these languages as if we were native? That the American, British, Australian, Kiwi, or English Canadian or Taiwanese who speak and write another language without fault throw the first stone at our English spelling.

My friends,,, I digress... I was hoping for less of a personal attack and more of an intellegent debate about Gordon Duff admitting that 40% of what he says is disinfo... Guyfox... I am dissapointed. Good stuff happens on many levels. What we look for (often unconsciously so) in others to determine if we're interested in paying closer attention to them comes in so many flavors ... some superficial, some at levels I have no clue about.

You're totally within your rights, and properly respecting your own choices and what you tune into, when you dismiss whomever, for whatever reasons.

I do the same. We all do. Some of us have been lucky enough to have lived long enough, and to have changed our own views of whom to respect, for what reasons, often enough and radically enough, that we no longer pay much attention to what choices others make, unless per chance that other person happens to be one whose judgement in such matters we've found worth paying attention to.

The stuff worth worrying about lies at other levels.

Totally agreed.

I see enough misspellings in the posts I read, and in those I write (and I have no excuses worthy of the mention) to almost automatically assume, unless deliberate slander is made extremely obvious, that the misspelling is entirely accidental.

To presume guilt, and explain that away by saying that only an "I misspelled it" apology is needed ... is to get things arse backwards. Both out of courtesy, and out of statistical probability, I recommend presuming innocence, ab initio. Don't "call people out" on their mistakes; rather ignore their mistakes for the most part, and offer assistance in the infrequent case that the mistake is material.

I am getting the impression, GuyFox, that you found a way to put Jake on the defensive.

GuyFox, may I suggest laying off Jake. He's a good man. A very good man.

And Jake ... you've got nothing to be defensive about. Gordon Duff has done more than most of us to discredit himself, and those of us who still happen to be reading his articles with interest, can mostly only shrug our shoulders and make some weak excuse such as "there's no accounting for taste."

Thank you. Paul, I have a piece of the puzzle... I cannot imagine a world where i justify telling lies to tell the truth. Perhaps I will embrace lies and deciept, as a valid way to tell MY story... Perhaps I will insult and discredit and attempt to destroy others who do not see it my way. I don't tend to read Gordon Duff's writing very much, for the same reasons that some have expressed on this thread, but there have been a couple of occasions on the forum where I've read claims he's made that - to my current knowledge - are baseless distortions for which he has provided no evidence.

The first is the the ADL was responsible for the anti-Semitic fliers distributed in the Ukraine.

The second is that 70,000 survivors of 9/11 have cancer. No, they haven't, thank goodness.

The figure of 66,900 does NOT refer to the number of cancer victims. It is the number of people who have registered for the Victim Compensation Fund.

The number of cancer victims was actually 1,140 the last time I checked, although obviously and sadly, this number is only going to increase with time.
