This has been one of the longest days ever but I have good news. Little baby Danial was born at 2:55pm and weighed in at a whopping 2.1 lbs. Mom had a natural birth (last one was a C-section) and both her and baby are doing well. His heart is strong but it will be some time before he is out of the woods. There are just no words to describe what it feels like to see a baby that small. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. For once I am very grateful for modern medicine and what they are able to do. A good ending to a very emotion filled day.

Just today I was thinking - after revisiting some eighties movies - that of little movies this day can we still tolerate that much musical accompaniment as was usual for back then except for Star Wars. It seems that a lot of these movies - if you turn around, listen to the instrumentals and blur the lines - could pass for Star Wars movies today.

Have we become that more silent? Or just more to the point?

You don't have to answer that if you don't feel like it. Just curious...

i stopped smoking at 32 after 15 years of smoking. I had cold sweats for few days, dreamed i was smoking for a full year, but believe me, it is still much harder to lose weight than anytime stopping to smoke, in my personal experience. You just cannot stop eating altogether, and losing weight makes me much more tired, while stopping to smoke gave me energy.

Now, i have been quite absent from the forum for a while and there is a good reason for this.

As I told you, a while ago, i started dating again. And this is totally changing my life and vision of things, an inner earthquake.

Well, despite my own misconception of what men want in a woman, some are great human beings lolllllllllllll

I think I met one.

This will make Eaglespirit happy: it is about LOVE.

I reallllllllly have a great time, with a real super human being, in and out. Although we are at the first few months (no Ulli, it is not the younger than me one), and I may change my views, I doubt I will - having life experience by now to go by and to help see through people.

Yes, 1inMany, we can meet love even at an older age, even if over weight, even if....... and there are men who look from and to the Inside first. I think I am falling for it, getting in love.

This is just sooooooooo good!! I had been soooooooo many years - many many - alone (i don't dare saying the numbers, it is traumatising just thinking of the time lost lol) I never thought this could happen. So my time is in gardening love instead of forum life.

He is bright, affectionate, funny and to my taste, handsome (Mini Flash says "he is old!!" lol, not much more than her mom, in fact only 2 years more!!! lol). The feelings seem quite reciprocal. I am having a real good summer here. I am quite happy in fact. Some of our activities: tango, bicycling, Mensa dinners - he wanted to make sure i can handle that lol, i passed the test of handling them lol - movies, readings exchanges, a real great time.

And this is Justone (of Avalon) deeds: he pushed me again and again to go get a boyfriend lol (I will spare you the words used) Thanks to him, and a bit to Simon who pushed too, I got the guts to start dating again. And to Bill who wrote me that men are attracted by the energy and the Inside of a woman first and to Karelia who listen again and again about dating adventures lol. And to Ulli who told me to drop the younger than me one because my stars were better off with an older one.

So here a new conspiracy, a conspiracy from a few Avalon Members to help into the happiness of one of them.

What a nice and exceptional crowd you are all.

I have tried dating, and every time I come across a lovely woman, I end up ranting about conspiracies. I just can't help it! Needless to say, it never seems to work out for me...

It's just so hard to communicate to somebody who is not on the same level of awareness, and I'd be lying to myself and the person I'm dating if I didn't try my best to share information. Maybe Avalon should become a dating site, because we're all on similar levels!

Also, you're right in saying that not ALL men are egoic buttheads. Some of us are very sensitive and can feel who a woman is on the inside, and care about a spiritual, emotional connection more than anything else. It seems women my age ain't attracted to sensitivity though...

Very bright, therefore he understands, however, he does not want to admit that most governing bodies are corrupted to the core. In fact, it is a question of amount of corruption, not of facts, for him.

However, I can tell you that much, on a spiritual level, he is way there or rather here - in a very natural way, one of those whose true inner strenght is integrated, it seems to me up to now - and this is yet more important to me. He does not like fanatism of any kind, quite level headed in fact. And as I am taking it slowly, softly, including conspiracies, even if I have been in/around it up to my neck, it will be fine. That is what 30 more years brings. Life is not only conspiracies, it is first and foremost love and wisdom, including aware knowledge, to me.

There is a lot of wisdom here. I envy you for being able to take things slowly. My mind is too wrapped up in the madness going on where I sometimes feel that I won't ever feel settled enough to be "grounded" until all this is exposed and everybody knows what is going on...and the world is finally a peaceful place. Well, there's much work to do if I will get to that level!

Im just waking up here in Barbados. Feeling blissed out, and blessed.
And my body is aching ...yesterday all day unpacking and cleaning the apartment...every square inch was covered in black dust.
Even though I had closed all the louvres the strong winds had two months to blow the dust from the cane fires through the cracks. And here is that little tortoise shell cat from next door, happy to see me again.
My connection flight was delayed...so I ended up spending 9 1/2 hours hanging out in Miami airport, after two days and a night of no sleep. Such a trip would have been easy when I was younger.
But it's ok. At least I'm here (and now) Catching up.....

Sam, that peaceful place is nearer than you think. One small step....

There was no youtube 3400 years ago – and no more Sumerians either. I think Playdo meant 3400 BC. They might have had youtube, they seem to have had everything else.

Sam, I personally don’t think it would be a good idea for forum members to get flirtatious. The forum is a haven where men and women can engage in frank discussions about all kinds of intimate subjects without all the usual pitfalls of that sort of emotional involvement. That is something too rare and precious to give up, although the possibility of two forum members coming together to form a couple is a wonderful idea too.

As to how a couple actually operates, it might help to be a rocket scientist to understand how a great thrust of energy can be created by mixing two different types of fuel. It is a double act where both might be doing different things. If, say, you take the formula ‘think globally, act locally’, then in our house, it would be me thinking globally and my wife acting locally, and the connection between the two that is producing the energy for both would be on the largely unspoken soul level of togetherness. My wife, while wise to the bigger picture enough to steer clear of all that stuff, simply takes her loving, bubbly nature to everyone she meets, and of course it rubs off on them. I leave that mostly to her, just as she mostly leaves the theoretical underpinning to me; the point being that neither of us would be nearly as effective in what we do without the other. This is the basis of any kind of team work, blending each other’s skills and covering each other’s weaknesses, and this is also what the forum is seeking to do on an altogether different scale. Hence there is no ‘business end’ whereby the so-called, or self-styled, awake and aware are contributing any more than others who seemingly do not fit that description.

I remember when for the first time i listen STAR WARS Soundtrak. A shock!
It was a double Vinyl Long Play. Two months later I went to see the movie. I was facinated by the colors. When you expect something and you know the music, "on every path", is not only easier but more funny.
