), there are some particularly interesting features about these slow-moving outer planets. One is that whole generations are astrologically on the same page. This would be the basis for the theory of “waves” of souls such as indigo children coming to the planet. For example (consulting Robert Hand 1976), only those born after 1965 will experience Pluto conjunct Uranus. Another is novelty: new elements added to the usual mix, and others no longer relevant (e.g. Neptune Conjunct Pluto has not happened since the 1890s). With longer life expectancy and Pluto’s variable speed on its irregular orbit, for the first time Pluto Trine Natal Neptune has been happening to people in significant numbers (in their seventies). Or Neptune Sextile Pluto is a transit that itself has a longer life expectancy than usual: I gather that at some point just about everyone alive will have it in their birth chart; so this would be a way of transcending generation gaps and putting the whole planet on the same page.
