A fundamental illusory separation is that there is more then one ego. Ego plays this game with itself. That is why the ego cannot be vanquished. 'You', 'I', 'me' cannot defeat ego, 'who' would 'it' be that would get rid of 'it'?

I guess someone could say, "If I cannot vanquish it, I will make it smaller/ infinitesimal in stature." But 'who' is 'it' that would accomplish that? Ego, that is 'who'!

Well great! Aren't you so magnificent ego for making ego so infinitesimal!

Ego self-creates ego so that ego can worship ego.

If 'I' worship ego, isn't ego worshiping 'me' (also)?
