Default New human-like species discovered in S Africa

New hominoid possible human ancestors seem to be popping out of the ground
literally in the last few years. What no official anthropologist will say in public is
maybe they are finding possible early ET ( Booteans) intervention in genetically
engineering homo sapiens modern humans , to make it suitable to 'host' our non-
physical eternal being in this reality. Other theories are the Annunaki created
us as a helper species. But the official Darwinian theories below does not know
the real origins of Homo Sapien Sapien (us). Just speculation and conjunsure
as far as I can tell.

Homo naledi has a mixture of primitive and more modern features

Scientists have discovered a new human-like species in a burial chamber deep in a
cave system in South Africa. The discovery of 15 partial skeletons is the largest
single discovery of its type in Africa. The researchers claim that the discovery will
change ideas about our human ancestors. The studies which have been published in
the journal Elife also indicate that these individuals were capable of ritual behaviour.

The species, which has been named naledi, has been classified in the grouping, or
genus, Homo, to which modern humans belong.

The researchers who made the find have not been able to find out how long ago
these creatures lived - but the scientist who led the team, Prof Lee Berger, told BBC
News that he believed they could be among the first of our kind (genus Homo) and
could have lived in Africa up to three million years ago.Skull similar in shape to a
modern human's apart from pronounced brow and smaller brain cavity

    skulls

Like all those working in the field, he is at pains to avoid the term "missing link".
Prof Berger says naledi could be thought of as a "bridge" between more primitive
bipedal primates and humans. "We'd gone in with the idea of recovering one fossil.
That turned into multiple fossils. That turned into the discovery of multiple
    skeletons and multiple individuals.

"And so by the end of that remarkable 21-day experience, we had discovered the
largest assemblage of fossil human relatives ever discovered in the history of the
continent of Africa. That was an extraordinary experience."

Prof Chris Stringer of the Natural History Museum said naledi was "a very important discovery".

Professor Lee Berger of Wits University explains what his team found

"What we are seeing is more and more species of creatures that suggests that nature
was experimenting with how to evolve humans, thus giving rise to several different
types of human-like creatures originating in parallel in different parts of Africa. Only one
line eventually survived to give rise to us," he told BBC News.

I went to see the bones which are kept in a secure room at Witwatersrand
University. The door to the room looks like one that would seal a bank vault. As
Prof Berger turned the large lever on the door, he told me that our knowledge of
very early humans is based on partial skeletons and the occasional skull.

Wrist and palm very similar shape to a modern human but fingers are more curved

    hands

The haul of 15 partial skeletons includes both males and females of varying ages -
from infants to elderly. The discovery is unprecedented in Africa and will shed more
light on how the first humans evolved."We are going to know everything about this
species," Prof Berger told me as we walked over to the remains of H. naledi.

"We are going to know when its children were weaned, when they were born, how
they developed, the speed at which they developed, the difference between males
and females at every developmental stage from infancy, to childhood to teens to
how they aged and how they died."

I was astonished to see how well preserved the bones were. The skull, teeth and
feet looked as if they belonged to a human child - even though the skeleton was
that of an elderly female. Its hand looked human-like too, up to its fingers which
curl around a bit like those of an ape.Homo naledi is unlike any primitive human
found in Africa. It has a tiny brain - about the size of a gorilla's and a primitive
pelvis and shoulders. But it is put into the same genus as humans because of the
more progressive shape of its skull, relatively small teeth, characteristic long legs
    and modern-looking feet.

"I saw something I thought I would never see in my career," Prof Berger told me.

"It was a moment that 25 years as a paleoanthropologist had not prepared me for."

One of the most intriguing questions raised by the find is how the remains got there.
Short foot similar in size to a modern human. Arch suggests naledi walked on two
    feet

I visited the site of the find, the Rising Star cave, an hour's drive from the
university in an area known as the Cradle of Humankind. The cave leads to a
narrow underground tunnel through which some of Prof Berger's team crawled in
an expedition funded by the National Geographic Society.Small women were chosen
because the tunnel was so narrow. They crawled through darkness lit only by their
head torches on a precarious 20 minute-long journey to find a chamber containing
hundreds of bones.Among them was Marina Elliott. She showed me the narrow
entrance to the cave and then described how she felt when she first saw the chamber.

"The first time I went to the excavation site I likened it to the feeling that Howard
Carter must have had when he opened Tutankhamen's tomb - that you are in a
very confined space and then it opens up and all of a sudden all you can see are all
these wonderful things - it was incredible," she said.Ms Elliott and her colleagues
believe that they have found a burial chamber. The Homo naledi people appear to
have carried individuals deep into the cave system and deposited them in the
    chamber - possibly over generations.

If that is correct, it suggests naledi was capable of ritual behaviour and possibly
symbolic thought - something that until now had only been associated with much
later humans within the last 200,000 years.Prof Berger said: "We are going to have
to contemplate some very deep things about what it is to be human. Have we been
wrong all along about this kind of behaviour that we thought was unique to modern
    humans?

"Did we inherit that behaviour from deep time and is it something that (the earliest
humans) have always been able to do?"

The team of scientists who were small enough to squeeze through the cave's
narrow underground tunnels and into the cave system.Image copyright John Hawks
Prof Berger believes that the discovery of a creature that has such a mix of modern
and primitive features should make scientists rethink the definition of what it is to
be human - so much so that he himself is reluctant to describe naledi as human.
Other researchers working in the field, such as Prof Stringer, believe that naledi
should be described as a primitive human. But he agrees that current theories need
to be re-evaluated and that we have only just scratched the surface of the rich and
    complex story of human evolution.

I find it interesting that this find occurs right on the tail of Gobekli Tepe, where they have had to admit that life was rather well organized, artistic, and developed in "humankind" if indeed we are looking at that at all (LOL). The carbon dating on this find is of interest.

I suppose this is massively off-topic, but have you heard of the theory of human DE-volution? This theory posits that what we call "hominids" are humans (of which there have been many kinds, but who all looked more or less like us) left over from the turn of previous Kalpas.

Notice how similar the infant chimpanzee looks to modern adult humans, and how as the infant chimp matures, it becomes prognathous.

To me, this (the human devolution theory) makes much more sense than "alien intervention", which can't be proven and must be accepted on faith.

p.s. It is just like the Ultraterrestrials to feed us a line of bull about our origins, giving themselves credit for our existence. I think the "ET" origin theory is just another Ultraterrestrial mind-f***.

I don't know who Billy Meier is, but even to say de-volution is incorrect, actually.

The reason is, to devolve means to go from more specialize to less specialized. To evolve means to go from less specialized to more specialized.

Well, clearly, an infant chimp becomes more specialized as it matures. So do human infants as they mature. So infant chimps and infant humans both evolve as they mature.

And as a species, humans are very unspecialized. Our teeth are very unspecialized compared to those of other species. Our hands and feet are very unspecialized. Chimps and the other great apes are much more specialized than we are. You can see it from their anatomy.

So it stands to reason that we start out unspecialized at the beginning of a new Kalpa, and then, when the Kalpa turns, at the end of Kali Yuga, if we are replaced with a new species of humanity, any survivors of the former species would evolve to meet the conditions of the new Kalpa, becoming more and more ape-like the further into the new Kalpa we go, while the new species of human remains unspecialized until it is the turn of yet another Kalpa, and their turn to evolve. And so on.

The exoplanets that hint at life billions of years older than Earth A solar system
including five Earth-sized planets has been discovered which is so ancient it was
born not long after the dawn of time - and experts say it could help find life on
planets far older than we expected. The system's parent star, named Kepler-444, is
117 light years from Earth and 11.2 billion years old. When the sun-like star was
formed out of a primordial cloud of gas and dust, the universe was just a fifth of its

A solar system including five Earth-sized planets has been discovered, which is so
ancient, it was born not long after the dawn of time. This artist's impression shows
Kepler-444, 17 light years from Earth. Its planets (also shown) were detected from
the dimming that occurs when they transit the disc of their parent star

In January, a group led by Tiago Campante — an astroseismology or 'starquake'
researcher at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom — announced
the discovery of five tiny, likely rocky worlds close to an ancient star. Now he says
that discovery could lead to new insights into where alien life could be. 'This system
gives us hope that there are other habitable worlds that we can't detect because we
don't have enough observing timespan yet,' Campante told Nasa's Astrobio.net.
Upcoming observatories could change that, he added. Whether life can live for
billions of years, however, is pure speculation.

'If intelligent life develops in a system as old as this one, would it still exist or
would they extinguish themselves?' Campante asked. That makes them roughly the
same size, or slightly smaller than Earth.'There are far-reaching implications for
this discovery,' said Dr Tiago Campante, from the University of Birmingham's
    School of Physics and Astronomy.

'We now know that Earth-sized planets have formed throughout most of the universe's
13.8 billion year history, which could provide scope for the existence of ancient life in
the Galaxy.'By the time the Earth formed, the planets in this system were already older
    than our planet is today.

The planet hunter strikes again: Astronomers made the discovery after trawling
through four years' worth of data collected by Nasa’s Kepler space telescope (illustrated)

'This discovery may now help to pinpoint the beginning of what we might call the 'era of
planet formation.'He said in a talk earlier this year: 'Earth-size planets may have readily
formed at earlier epochs in the universe's history when metals were more scarce.'
However, the chances of an advanced race of beings living on any of the planets are
remote, despite Kepler-444 being 25 per cent smaller and 700 degrees cooler than the sun.

Each of the worlds is so close to its star that its year - the time taken to complete one
orbit of the star - is less than 10 days long.At that distance, the planets would be much
hotter than Mercury and unable to support Earth-like life. The system's innermost planet
is the size of Mercury, the middle three are the size of Mars, and the outermost is
    slightly smaller than Venus.

The scientists found an ancient planetary system containing five planets (shown at the
bottom of the illustration, compared to other planets at the top). The system's
innermost planet is the size of Mercury, the middle three are the size of Mars, and the
outermost is slightly smaller than Venus

Astronomers discovered the system after trawling through four years' worth of data
collected by Nasa's Kepler space telescope.Dr Campante's team conducted the research
using a technique called asteroseismology, which involves 'listening' to vibrations
caused by sound trapped within a star. The oscillations led to tiny pulse-like changes in
brightness, which allowed the researchers to measure the star's diameter, mass and
age. The planets were detected from the dimming that occurred when they passed
across the face of the star.By measuring the minute fading of light coming from the star
the scientists were able to calculate the relative size of the planets.

Professor Bill Chaplin, who co-authored the study, said: 'The first discoveries of
exoplanets around other sun-like stars in our galaxy have fuelled efforts to find other
worlds like Earth and other terrestrial planets outside our solar system.

'We are now getting first glimpses of the variety of galactic environments conducive to
the formation of these small worlds. Kepler-444, which is 11.2 billion years old, is a
quarter of the Sun's size but bright enough to be seen with binoculars in the
    constellation Lyra (illustrated)

'As a result, the path towards a more complete understanding of early planet formation
in the galaxy is now unfolding before us.'Kepler-444 is a quarter of the Sun's size but
bright enough to be seen with binoculars in the constellation Lyra.Professor Steve
Kawaler, a member of the team from Iowa State University, said: 'This is one of the
oldest systems in the galaxy.'Kepler-444 came from the first generation of stars. This
system tells us that planets were forming nearly seven billion years before our own
Solar System.'Planetary systems around stars have been a common feature of our
galaxy for a long, long time.'

    THE KEPLER MISSION SO FAR

Kepler is a space observatory launched by Nasa in 2009 to discover Earth-like planets
orbiting other stars. It's designed to survey our region of the Milky Way in a bid to
discover Earth-size exoplanets. It works by detecting regular variations in brightness of
stars, which are caused by orbiting exoplanets passing in front of them.

Kepler: NASA's mission to find habitable planets

So far, the observatory has found 1,013 confirmed exoplanets in 440 systems as
    well as 3,199 possible planets.

In November last year, astronomers said there could be as many as 40 billion Earth-
sized planets orbiting in habitable zones within the Milky Way, based on the data
    collected so far.

Kepler was originally built to last three-and-a-half years, and since then, experts
have worked to extend its life. But in August 2013, Nasa announced it had given up
trying to fix two failed reaction wheels, meaning that the mission had to be
modified. The 'K2 extension' was announced in May last year, meaning that the
partially paralysed observatory will detect habitable planets around smaller and
    dimmer dwarf stars.

Last month, Nasa announced that Kepler had found its 1000th confirmed exoplanet.

From UFOTV®, accept no imitations. Now presenting the most controversial UFO /
ET case in history. The truth is exposed in this remarkable film about how one
man's meetings with extraterrestrials lead him through dozens of countries,
meeting many famous world leaders including Saddam Hussein and later revealing
ancient prophecies that would eventually come true. In 1958 he predicted the Iraq
Wars, Global Warming and even the AIDS epidemic. You will be captivated by
how "Billy" Eduard Albert Meier became known in his early years as "The Phantom,"
(a real life combination of Indian Jones, Han Solo and Larwence of Arabia), who
carried a 44 Magnum and apprehended serial killers and mass murderers. Meier's
life story is an enigmatic journey that ultimately culminates with him becoming the
messenger for an advanced race of ET beings know as the Plejaran. Their message
is clear: earth is in trouble, the people have been asleep, and we must make
drastic changes or there will be devastating consequences for all of mankind. In his
later years Meier stumped hundreds of skeptics with his clear UFO photographs,
film footage and sound recordings of Plejaran "Beam Ships," all taken and recorded
in broad daylight. Exotic metal samples he received from the extraterrestrials
according to scientists, remain to this day, irreproducible. So decide for yourself if
it's all a hoax, and if so, then ask yourself, why has Meier been the target of 21
assassination attempts? Could it be that the message that humanity so desperately
needs to hear is not welcome by many of our world leaders? Discover why this, the
most controversial UFO case in history has endured and remained alive in the face
of intense skepticism for over 50 years.

New Human Ancestor Species from Ethiopia - May 2015

    Published on 27 May 2015

A new relative joins “Lucy” on the human family tree. An international team of
scientists, led by Dr. Yohannes Haile-Selassie of The Cleveland Museum of Natural
History, has discovered a 3.3 to 3.5 million-year-old new human ancestor species.
Upper and lower jaw fossils recovered from the Woranso-Mille area of the Afar region of
Ethiopia have been assigned to the new species Australopithecus deyiremeda. This
hominin lived alongside the famous “Lucy’s” species, Australopithecus afarensis. The
species will be described in the May 28, 2015 issue of the international scientific journal Nature.

Scientists have unearthed the jawbone of what they claim is one of the very first
humans. The 2.8 million-year-old specimen is 400,000 years older than researchers
thought that our kind first emerged. The discovery in Ethiopia suggests climate
change spurred the transition from tree dweller to upright walker. The head of the
research team told BBC News that the find gives the first insight into "the most
    important transitions in human evolution".

Prof Brian Villmoare of the University of Nevada in Las Vegas said the discovery
makes a clear link between an iconic 3.2 million-year-old hominin (human-like
primate) discovered in the same area in 1974, called "Lucy".

Could Lucy's kind - which belonged to the species Australopithecus afarensis - have
evolved into the very first primitive humans?

"That's what we are arguing," said Prof Villmoare.

But the fossil record between the time period when Lucy and her kin were alive and
the emergence of Homo erectus (with its relatively large brain and humanlike body
proportions) two million years ago is sparse.

The 2.8 million-year-old lower jawbone was found in the Ledi-Geraru research area,
Afar Regional State, by Ethiopian student Chalachew Seyoum. He told BBC News
that he was "stunned" when he saw the fossil.

"The moment I found it, I realised that it was important, as this is the time period
represented by few (human) fossils in Eastern Africa."

The fossil is of the left side of the lower jaw, along with five teeth. The back molar
teeth are smaller than those of other hominins living in the area and are one of the
features that distinguish humans from more primitive ancestors, according to
Professor William Kimbel, director of Arizona State University's Institute of Human Origins.

"Previously, the oldest fossil attributed to the genus Homo was an upper jaw from
Hadar, Ethiopia, dated to 2.35m years ago," he told BBC News.

"So this new discovery pushes the human line back by 400,000 years or so, very
close to its likely (pre-human) ancestor. Its mix of primitive and advanced features
makes the Ledi jaw a good transitional form between (Lucy) and later humans."

A computer reconstruction of a skull belonging to the species Homo habilis, which
has been published in Nature journal, indicates that it may well have been the
evolutionary descendant of the species announced today.

The researcher involved, Prof Fred Spoor of University College London told BBC
News that, taken together, the new findings had lifted a veil on a key period in the
    evolution of our species.

"By discovering a new fossil and re-analysing an old one we have truly contributed
to our knowledge of our own evolutionary period, stretching over a million years
that had been shrouded in mystery," he said.Climate change

The dating of the jawbone might help answer one of the key questions in human
evolution. What caused some apes to climb down from the trees and make their
    homes on the ground.

A separate study in Science hints that a change in climate might have been a
factor. An analysis of the fossilised plant and animal life in the area suggests that
what had once been lush forest had become dry grassland.

As the trees made way for vast plains, apes found a way of exploiting the new
environmental niche, developing bigger brains and becoming less reliant on having
big jaws and teeth by using tools.Prof Chris Stringer of the Natural History Museum
in London described the discovery as a "big story".

He says the new species clearly does show the earliest step toward human
characteristics, but suggests that half a jawbone is not enough to tell just how
human it was and does not provide enough evidence to suggest that it was this line
that led to us.He notes that the emergence of human-like characteristics was not
    unique to Ethiopia.

"The human-like features shown by Australopithecus sediba in South Africa at
around 1.95 million years ago are likely to have developed independently of the
processes which produced (humans) in East Africa, showing that parallel origins are
a distinct possibility," Prof Stringer explained.

This would suggest several different species of humans co-existing in Africa around
two million years ago with only one of them surviving and eventually evolving into
our species, Homo sapiens. It is as if nature was experimenting with different
versions of the same evolutionary configuration until one succeeded.

Prof Stringer added: "These new studies leave us with an even more complex
picture of early humans than we thought, and they challenge us to consider the
very definition of what it is to be human. Are we defined by our small teeth and
jaws, our large brain, our long legs, tool-making, or some combination of these traits?"

As another possible hominid is dug up in Ethiopia this only suggests to me that we
may be a complete separate species . Or possible more evidence of manipulation by
a extra terrestrial race like the Annunnaki. Anyway no mention of that above , but
its interesting for me to see what the 'Soil Sifters' are up to....LOL

This is just Science fiction hokum right ? Yet with all the mainstream sky- fy -
Science concepts being created into our reality . The fact we are descendants of
older humanity , or created by a extra terrestrial race is not that far fetched to me.....

I totally agree that anyone who is interested in this topic really ought to read Forbidden Archeology. There is an abridged version, too, that is neither as long nor as expensive as the full length version.

Quote read the absolutely monumental Michael Cremo/Richard Thompson opus "Forbidden Archeology" just for starters-
I think they are saying they are one of many 'dead end' species that evolved.
I saw some mainstream vids about that. That could be the case ? some could
be ET ' human prototypes so to speak ? that's the speculation . No they are
saying it maybe a 'bridge' species , which would tie in with the footprint Mary
    Leaky found.

I did see a Michael Cremo vid on the link earlier I might have a lookin a minute.....
There are quite a few radio interviews and I postedwhat looks like the most recent
presentation. Funnily enough aprox 35min he's talking about Mary Leaky and that
they have not foundany ancient hominoids with human feet. The ones in the article
in post 1 is similar to humans.

Michael Cremo – The Hidden History of the Human Race

    Michael Cremo Website: http://www.mcremo.com/

An amazing updated chat with Michael Cremo about Extreme Human Antiquity.
Michael will also be joining us this summer on the Modern Knowledge Tour and will
be presenting some incredible evidence which points to a much different, and far
older origin of the human race than what is currently presented through the well
funded mainstream Darwinian model. Over the past two centuries, archaeologists
have found bones, footprints, and artifacts showing that people like ourselves have
existed on earth for many millions of years. But many scientists have forgotten or
    ignored these remarkable facts. Why?

“In connection with the California gold mine discoveries we find not only evidence
for extreme human antiquity but also evidence illuminating the processes by which
dominant groups in science exclude controversial facts from scientific discussion
and public attention. These processes, which I collectively refer to as
the “knowledge filter,” are a powerful factor in removing certain kinds of evidence
from scientific discourse and research. Because of the very effective knowledge
filtering efforts of Holmes, Sinclair, and other scientists in the late nineteenth
century and the early twentieth century, the California gold mine discoveries from
Table Mountain are hardly known today.” – Michael Cremo The Nineteenth Century
California Gold Mine Discoveries: Archeology, Darwinism, and Evidence for Extreme
    Human Antiquity.

Did our ancient ancestors 'kill the cat'?

    By Helen Briggs
    BBC News
    2 December 2015

Our ancient human cousins may have fought off big
cats with spears, according to archaeological evidence.

The sabre-toothed cat lived alongside early humans,
and may have been a fearsome enemy, say scientists.

Several feline teeth - and a chunk of arm bone - were
uncovered at a site in Germany known for the oldest
    discovery of human spears.

The 300,000-year-old animal fossils are described as "spectacular".

The sabre-toothed cat - once known as the sabre-toothed tiger
    - lived from about 55.8 million to 11,700 years ago.
