Original rival of Chinese Communist Party, to include Sun Yat Sen and Chiang Kai Shek. And so to the American strategy especially after 1949, a quick friend vs. CCP who became friendlier with the Soviets. That was a retreat; KMT is not from Taiwan originally. But that is why the island became an important pivot in a great big mess.

Donbass is like Yemen, or Syria, or Mali, and so on, those do not have a "brand name" that registers in the western brain like "Taiwan" or "Israel".

It is disgusting, but, we get our Foreign Policy from the British and ignorance from the CIA.

Alex does his own updates; sometimes twice a day for 2o-3o minutes or so. I find he is a little easier on the ears than Alexander from 'The Duran'. Alex doesn't speak as much on 'The Duran'.

I listen to the following somewhat regularly:

    Alex Christoforou [Geopolitical Commentator]
Patrick Lancaster [Independent Journalist in Ukraine [8 years in the Donbas]]
Gonzalo Lira [Lives in Kharkiv, Ukraine]

Elensky cuts off gas. Green leader shows up in Kiev. Greek shippers stop sanctions. Update 1

Gonna take this in a sideways direction as a result of whats happening here in Ukraine. Just think about how fast things could unravel without even firing a shot, and now the US just approved another 40 billion in military aid to Ukraine. Yeah lets heat up a red hot poker and shove it somehwere. Oh the insanity of it all.

China has stocked up on 60% of the worlds grain supplies at present, Russia just took 400,000 tons of grain from Ukraine. If your not preparing for whats coming at home , its your own dam fault

    https://www.chinausfocus.com/finance...monetary-rules

America Has Stopped Playing by the Monetary Rules

The Economic Weapon: The Rise of Sanctions as a Tool of Modern War, historian Nicholas Mulder reminds us that even when Britain and Russia were savagely battling each other during the 1853-56 Crimean War, they continued to service their debts to each other. Likewise, when hedge funds launched predatory attacks on Asian currencies during the 1990s Asian financial crisis, they ultimately still played by the rules (even though their unethical behavior brought some East Asian countries’ economic progress to a halt).

The United States’ February 28 decision to freeze around half of Russia’s foreign-exchange reserves would seem to fall into a different category. Though the US has taken similar actions against Iran, Venezuela, and Afghanistan, Chinese economists thought those were exceptional situations and find it shocking that the US would carry out such measures against Russia.

The international financial system is based on the trust that all participants will play by the rules, and honoring debt obligations is one of the most important rules there is. Whatever the justification, freezing a country’s foreign-exchange reserves is a blatant breach of that trust. The US, which issues the main global reserve currency, is jeopardizing its financial credibility for the sake of some elusive short-term tactical advantages. That is a big mistake.

For many years, China’s ability to amass foreign-exchange reserves was a symbol of its burgeoning economic success. But this has been a controversial issue since the mid-1990s (when China’s reserves reached $100 billion), because the purpose of trade is not to earn ever-greater foreign-exchange reserves, but rather to to participate in the international division of labor in a way that improves resource allocation across borders.

The Asian financial crisis in 1997 seemed to vindicate the argument that China needed large foreign-exchange reserves with which to fend off predatory attacks by international speculators. By 2003, China’s reserves had quadrupled to $400 billion, and there was growing international pressure on Chinese authorities to allow the renminbi to appreciate. But they were reluctant to do so, because they didn’t want to cause a slowdown in export growth. China’s vast foreign-exchange holdings thus continued to increase at an accelerated pace.

Then came the 2008 global financial crisis, which compelled China to recognize that its foreign-exchange reserves might be in jeopardy. The prime minister at the time, Wen Jiabao, expressed these concerns publicly in March 2009: “We have lent a huge amount of money to the US, so of course we are concerned about the safety of our assets. Frankly speaking, I do have some worries.” He then urged the US government to “maintain its credibility, honor its commitments, and guarantee the security of Chinese assets.”

The US government did honor its commitments, and China carried on accumulating foreign-exchange reserves, which peaked at $3.8 trillion in 2014, before falling by $800 billion in the following two years as the Chinese central bank intervened heavily in the foreign-exchange market to stabilize the renminbi in the face of large capital outflows. Since 2016, China’s reserves have fluctuated around $3 trillion under a more flexible exchange-rate regime, even though it has continued to run a current-account surplus. Today, they stand at around $3.2 trillion.

Whatever the causes, there is no denying that China has accumulated an excessive volume of foreign-exchange reserves. As I have been arguing for decades, there are two big reasons why it should reduce these holdings. First, with more than $2 trillion of net international assets, China’s net investment income has been negative for almost 20 years, because its holdings are disproportionately in low-yield US treasuries. This is a grotesque misallocation of resources.

Second, the US dollar eventually may fall significantly, because America has been running huge net foreign and national debts for decades, and this shows no signs of changing. Moreover, the US Federal Reserve’s expansionary monetary policy (in the form of quantitative easing) may continue to create inflationary pressure in the future.

To be sure, with many countries, especially China, holding such large quantities of dollar-denominated foreign-exchange reserves, the US dollar can remain strong for quite some time. But at some point, the greenback’s value will fall, and the second largest foreign holder of US treasuries – China – will face huge losses.

Given this possibility, I have long advocated a floating exchange-rate regime for the renminbi; a cautious approach toward capital-account liberalization; diversification of foreign-exchange reserves; patient, market-driven internationalization of the renminbi; and more balanced trade with the US. But all these suggestions assume that the US will play by the rules. Now that it has unilaterally frozen the Russian central bank’s foreign-exchange reserves, the foundation for my policy recommendations has crumbled.

If all foreign assets – public as well as private – can be frozen in a split second by reserve-currency countries, policymakers should not even waste their time with hedging measures like diversification. Now that the US has proved its willingness to stop playing by the rules, what can China do to safeguard its foreign assets? I don’t know. But I am sure that Chinese policymakers, and perhaps those in other countries as well, will be thinking very hard about solutions.

    By News Desk - May 10 2022
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Algeria on 9 May in a visit that was not announced in advance by the Algerian foreign ministry.

Talks between Lavrov and his Algerian counterpart, Ramtane Lamamra, began on 10 May.

The visit coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Algeria, as the Soviet Union was the first country to establish diplomatic relations with Algeria following its independence from French colonial occupation in 1962.

Lavrov will also meet with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Lavrov’s visit comes as European nations, largely dependent on Russian energy exports, seek alternatives from countries like Algeria.

According to Al Mayadeen, Moscow’s strategy may push Algeria towards the alliance between Russia, China, Iran, and Venezuela.

Lamamra visited Moscow in early April as part of a delegation from the Arab League to discuss the Russia–Ukraine conflict. Arab countries are hoping for a resolution to the conflict due to the impact the conflict is having on global wheat supplies and on food prices.

According to an analysis by The Cradle, much of the Arab world depends on wheat supplies from Russia and Ukraine. The effect of the conflict on global food supplies and prices will be felt mostly acutely among countries already stricken by economic issues, namely, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, and Egypt.

The visit of the Russian foreign minister comes as Moscow seeks to build relations with the Arab world amid growing tensions with Tel Aviv, after Israel formally condemned the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.

Israel is also seeking to build up its military presence on the Moroccan border with Algeria, which Algiers sees as a threat to its national security.

The support of Tel Aviv towards the adversaries of Russia and Algeria may be a factor in bringing diplomatic relations between the two closer together.

As the diplomatic spat between Moscow and Tel Aviv grows, Lavrov has formally invited Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh to Moscow.

An analysis by Middle East Monitor (MEMO) from 23 November 2021 suggested that Israeli presence on Algeria’s borders will likely push Algeria closer towards Iran, another close ally of Moscow.

Inflation & Ukrainian War are Greatest Threats to the World Economy

COMMENT FROM GERMANY: Oil and flour shelves are empty.

    N
REPLY: I really do not know if the braindead politicians actually understanding what they have done with their COVID restrictions, and then whispering to Zelensky “please sacrifice your own people to create a diversion for the collapse in the economy” so they can blame Putin. Meanwhile, the Green German candidate Baerbock found herself being pelted with eggs. These politicians have no idea what they have done to society — none whatsoever! Even the Federal Reserve came out and warned that the war in Ukraine and the surging inflation are the greatest threats to the world economy. But the politicians will never listen.

Germany has also issued a cookbook on how to cook without electricity. Welcome to the insanity of Republican forms of government. I suspect they will all vanish post-2032.

Zelensky Looking at the US to Wage Economic War Against Russia

Over the weekend, Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that he is hoping US financial pressure on Russia will end the war. “So far, I think that the United States of America is the accelerator of the sanction policies and I think they do more than any other country. And this is the way it should be because they are the most powerful country right now. I see the same support with respect to sanctions from the United Kingdom,” Zelensky told reporters at Fox.

The Ukrainian leader admitted that he needs the US to be involved in the war, economically, which is selfishly pushing the nation and all of NATO into World War III. On top of sanctions, President Biden just appealed to Congress for $33 billion in aid to help Ukraine. Only $3 billion of that will go to food and humanitarian programs to help civilians and the five million Ukrainian refugees, while $8.5 billion will go toward economic aid. An alarming $20 billion will go directly toward assisting military action against Russia.

Putin is not exaggerating by calling the West an aggressor, as it is no different from Ukraine calling it the “accelerator.” The press is painting Putin out to be a madman hellbent on war with the world. His goal from the beginning was clear – secure land that he believes belongs to Russia. He had NO intention of provoking NATO nations or creating a global disaster. The press was certain that Putin would declare war against the US and others on May 9, Victory Day, which symbolizes when the nation defeated the axis powers in World War II. Let us not forget that the axis powers would have won the last world war if not for Russia. The UK and US have been memorialized as the victors, but Russia experienced more casualties than either nation.

The US and other nations have unofficially declared an economic war on Russia. We are a few missteps short of a full-fledged war to the likes we have never seen. Zelensky wants other nations to get involved and join the war, even if that means the loss of millions of lives.

I think that some of you Putin supporters have drunk too much of his koolaide. The chechyan war II was a model for what the Russians are doing in Ukraine, it's the same technique they used in Syria's olleppo. They flatten the opposition. By the way, the second Russian invasion of Chechnya was prompted by false flag terrorist attacks on Russian apartment buildings, the police even caught some Fsb agents red-handed with explosives in targeted buildings. But these explosions were attributed to chechyans, who had just won their freedom and had no need for terrorism.

From my understanding this is an old Soviet approach on the usage of artillery, to flatten the opposition. The Soviets didn't give a sh!t about collateral damage and neither do the Russians. Putin is from the KGB, but you think he's a freedom fighter? Pure bullsh!t.

People like to point out the need for Russia to eliminate american bioweapons ln Ukraine as an excuse to invade. Well, last I saw there are dozens of such sites around the world, including in Wuhan China, but I don't see Russia raising a finger about that. Again, another very weak excuse for destroying a weak country and killing thousands of innocents.

I don't deny that there were and are problems in the Ukraine. I contend that none of those problems were close to justifying an invasion.

Bill, I am surprised at how naive you are about Putin and his cronies. To paint them as heros and whitehats is not only absurd but dangerous. This man murders his opposition, all credible opponents, if not jailed, are assassinated in helicopter crashes or the like. If you think he's against the new world order that's a joke, he's a graduate of Klaus Schwab's WEF young global leader's program. I have close Russians inside and outside the country and the covid vaxes, which are made in Russia under subcontract from Western drug companies, are being pushed hard in the work force, often as a employment requirement. Also, it's reported that within the borders of Russia and the surrounding former Soviet republics that there have been WHO drills of mobile vaccination units utilizing military support. Look at Russia's staunchest allie, China, and look at Shanghai, that's the future in Russia and possibly the rest of the world.

If you don't know, the groundwork for the next phase towards the one world government in addition to digital IDs is the WHOs global treaty on pandemic preparedness. China and Russia, and the rest of the west will be signatories. And once the next scamdemic hits all these countries will submit to the who and it's medical tyranny as witnessed in covid.

This Russian invasion of Ukraine is a distraction. Putin is just a WEF puppet following the plan. Anyone who thinks he's a freedom fighter has real trouble grasping reality. And that is very dangerous.
Dear Justplain, I am interested in two of your arguments, which I have highlighted in blue.

May I request you to provide a few links that may support your arguments?

The first one concerns the "sameness" of strategy/tactics used by the Russian army in Chechnya (Grozny), in Syria (Aleppo) and in Ukraine (...).

I suppose that this sameness will be blatant, if you are right that is, in the case of Grozny and Halab (Aleppo). That can be verified, and then can be used to measure whatever the Russian forces are doing in Ukraine now.

The second concerns the identity of Vladimir Putin as a Schwab disciple. The central issue would be how far attending the meetings and being schooled/groomed went, and to what extent he just attended and informed himself or learnt and became a follower. It may be hard to come by good information there. Let us not forget that Putin was an accomplished spy – it would not be so easy to sound his real intentions in such a matter. I must admit that I am particularly intrigued by this bit, because yes, also Russia sings the vaccination songs.

If you find the time to retrieve good supporting information, I will be grateful and all ears.

Welcome to the insanity of Republican forms of government. I suspect they will all vanish post-2032.

That is the correct phrase for what we do not have. See: U. S. Constitution. This effectively vanished by the addition of statutory law.

What we have are "Republics" with a democratic form of government. In the U. S., it can simply be repealed. In other countries, Germany, etc., the constitution forbids it. That one says a person is a subject of the government of Germany, which is a subject of the European Central Bank. Capitalist fascism wrapped up in platitudes.

...the US just approved another 40 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

It has not passed the Senate. If this was important, something for here, the Senate would reject it, the House would re-write it, and it would just bounce back and forth until we all perish. That is how our Congress spends the majority of its time...stalling. This may pass unquestioningly, or, who knows. But that is a lot.

Today is another release on what happens when you give money to the usual idiots:

Senior Democratic Party politicians are the chief "ideologists" of America's illegal operations in biolabs operating throughout Ukraine, and have involved major multinational biotech companies in their activities, Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia's Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defence Troops, has indicated.

Speaking at a briefing in Moscow on Wednesday and citing an MoD analysis of documentary evidence, the RCB Troops chief said the profits US politicians earn for the private biotech sector helps to pay for their re-election via campaign donations.
According to Kirillov, the US executive branch has also worked to create a "legislative framework to finance military biological research directly from the federal budget", and with funds of non-government organisations underwritten by the state and controlled by the leadership of the Democratic Party, including charitable foundations affiliated with the Clinton family, the Rockerfellers, George Soros, and Hunter Biden.

Major global pharmaceutical companies have become involved in these shady "public-private" partnership schemes, including Pfizer, Moderna, Merck, and Pentagon-affiliated biotech firm Gilead, Kirillov said.

"US specialists are working [in Ukraine] on the testing of new medicines, bypassing international safety standards. As a result, Western companies seriously reduce the costs of research programmes and gain significant competitive advantages", the officer said.

Ukrainian state structures are also involved in the US-funded and organised military biological activities in their country, Kirillov said, with Kiev's main job being "to conceal illegal activities, conduct field and clinical trials and provide the necessary biomaterial".

In 2020, Kirillov said, an attempt was made to infect the residents of the settlement of Stepovoye in the Lugansk People's Republic with a multi-drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis using counterfeit banknotes contaminated with the disease's causative agent and spread among local youth.

Additionally, the RCB Troops chief said that his agency has received information detailing the Pentagon's experiments on Ukrainian nationals at Psychiatric Hospital No. 1 in the village of Strelechie, Kharkov region, with the research targeting male patients aged 40-60 with a high stage of physical exhaustion, and overseen by a US national.

The Russian military operation in Ukraine has stopped the spread of US military activities in Ukraine, and halted these "criminal experiments" on its civilian population, Kirillov stressed.

In the case of the research taking place at the Kharkov mental hospital, Western specialists were evacuated in January 2022, and the equipment and pharmaceutical preparations involved relocated to western Ukraine, he said.

Polish specialists have also been working with Ukraine's biolabs, Kirillov said, citing documents detailing the work of the Polish Institute of Veterinary Medicine and the US' Battelle Memorial Institute - a Pentagon contractor - on research assessing epidemiological threats and the spread of the rabies virus in Ukraine.

"In addition, documentary evidence has been obtained about Poland's funding of Lvov Medical University, which includes a participant in US military biological projects - the Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene. Since 2002, this organisation has been implementing a retraining programme for specialists with experience working with dual-use materials and technologies", the officer said.

The German military has also been involved in research in Ukraine, Kirillov said, citing documents indicating that the Bundeswehr's Institute of Microbiology had taken some 3,500 blood serum samples from 25 Ukrainian regions back to Germany between 2016 and 2019. The officer said the Institute's as yet unidentified interest in these biomaterials "raises questions about the goals [being] pursued" by the German Armed Forces.

An RCB Troops investigation of samples from a veterinary laboratory in Mariupol has concluded that it also may have been involved in the broader US-led biological research activities, Kirillov said, pointing to the presence of pathogens uncharacteristic of veterinary diseases, such as typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and gas gangrene at the lab. Part of the lab's collection of samples was destroyed on 25 February, but due to the rush, some of it has been preserved intact, and is now being analysed by Russia.

"To ensure safety and safe storage, Russian specialists exported 124 strains and have organised their study", Kirillov said.

The officer also revealed that Russian specialists have carried out work "directly in two biological laboratories in Mariupol", and that "evidence has been obtained of the emergency destruction of documents confirming their work with the US military. A preliminary analysis of the surviving documentation indicates that Mariupol was used as a regional centre for the collection and certification of the cholera pathogen", with the samples sent to the Centre for Public Health in Kiev, which transferred the materials on to the United States.

Kirillov stressed that the information that continues to be gathered and analysed by the Russian MoD casts doubt on assurances by US specialists that Ukraine does not have the capability to develop and produce bioweapons, and that the US itself has not "found" any evidence of biological weapons in Ukraine.

    WMD Provocations Possible

The RCB Troops chief also indicated that Moscow has intelligence related to the preparation of possible provocations involving weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine to accuse the Russian military of using such arms along a "Syrian-style" scenario, in which the necessary evidence is fabricated and the "perpetrators" are appointed ahead of time.

One piece of evidence suggesting the high likelihood of such provocations taking place is Kiev's request in a letter to European Union officials for personal protective equipment that provides protection against toxic chemicals and biological agents, Kirillov said.

The supply of organophosphate toxicity medications to Ukraine is also a concern for the Russian military, the officer noted, pointing out that in the first months of 2022, over 220,000 ampoules of atropine, as well as medicines for treatment and disinfection following a chemical attack, have been delivered to Ukraine by the United States.

Additionally, Kirillov said, 10 more drones equipped with 30-litre containers and spraying equipment were found in the town of Kakhovka, Kherson region in late April, on top of three others with similar equipment found in the Kherson region in March.
Kirillov's RCB Troops have spent over two months investigating and reporting on the US-sponsored military biological activities taking place at 30 separate facilities across Ukraine going back to at least 2005.

Western officials and media have largely dismissed the information provided as a "conspiracy theory", notwithstanding Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland's admission at a Senate hearing in March that "biological research facilities" do in fact exist in the Eastern European country and that the US was "working with" the Ukrainians to ensure that these materials "do not fall into the hands of Russian forces". Investigations by the few Western outlets that have conducted their own research have confirmed individual details of the Russian MoD's allegations - such as Hunter Biden's role in securing millions of dollars in funding for a US contractor working in Ukraine.

Why would we ask the BBC, Ukraine, or Schwab about the inner secrets of the Russian strategy or Putin's personal thoughts?

I have seen the "we penetrate the cabinets" piece. That is far less significant than, for example, Saudi Arabia turning its back on the petrodollar.

This is a nice place. If you put that on The Saker, where we get most of our information, you would be banned. Maybe warned one time, but certainly not allowed.

After all, Russia should not have had to go and do anything about Aleppo. They are still in the area. Israel is still regularly attacking it. Nothing much has changed there other than the expansion of insurgency has been thwarted.

If they wanted to "flatten a country" U. S.-style, it would have already happened. And so I think the above posts undermine the argument and press our point. Compare them to real military and governmental information. I doubt it would hold up with the same view or conclusions.

And again both the U. N. Security Council, and, another group there--I forget the name, but about another ten countries--has been subjected to all the things they don't want to hear such as about the bio-labs and widespread torture. Not the BBC version, but, a mountain of evidence that just keeps getting bigger. They don't talk much and are not usually the decision-makers of their countries, but, it makes at least fifteen influential people from multiple continents who have been forced to get a closer look at reality. The Chief says that a truce is not possible.

Will Ms. Nuland accept her invitation to Parliament? That would be unprecedented. These people are still being given a chance rather than excoriated from the face of the earth.
