Sean Penn recently appeared with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer to advocate for more weapons, more long-range missiles and even F-16s for Ukraine as soon as possible. He lamented the Ukrainian soldiers being slaughtered while calling for more of them to die – and at the same time said we shouldn’t worry about the Ukraine War escalating into World War III because that would just play into the “bully” Russia’s hands.

Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger wonder how a liberal lion like Sean Penn could have become such a reliable mouthpiece for the CIA and military industrial complex.

Thanks for this. I find it hard to watch, but I do sample such clips in moderation to get a sense of what is happening.

This particular scene seemed similar to the kind of actions in forests that have taken place for more than 200 years, since muskets came into use - for example depictions I've seen of the Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War, and the Battle of the Bulge.

But I am struck that the modern rifle-type weapons are so astonishingly quiet and lightweight! - as well as having much more rapid fire and far more ammunition. All of which makes things even worse for the men, no doubt.

I find it interesting that there is some kind of Terramar facility in the background ? Maybe its nothing or maybe its one of those human trafficking locations ...
Why would an non-profit charity organization have an warehouse or some kind of shipping facility ?
The TerraMar Project was self-described as an environmental nonprofit organization. It was founded in 2012 in the United States by Ghislaine Maxwell.

Yes, they're definitely hard to watch; I have to brace myself for them to be honest, most of the time.

Compared to the courage of those men doing the fighting, the courage (if you can call it that) to observe from a distance what they are undertaking pales somewhat

Scott Ritter (or Doug Macgregor?), in a recent update, made a comment about the ruggedness too of the equipment being deployed on the Russian side. (I remember now, it was Doug.). Perhaps, and I'm definitely no expert here, some of those lighter weight guns are sturdy yet light as a result of a part titanium composition? I don't actually know.

couple of observations, if I may...

while we are supposed to accept sitting around in the cold - wrapped in a blanket - nibbling on insects - give up our cars and freedom of travel... meekly watch cities / towns being turned into Open Prisons (15 minute city thing)...while being regularly injected with god knows what dubious substances....

The Military Industrial Complex, NATO et al...have all that hardware (and advanced technology) that must take up, suck up, an incredible amount of energy and resources - causing loads of pollution to make -

I looked for a video about what happened in Berlin and this is a bit of a random choice but shows the basics - while watching it I had strong waves of kundalini energy coming in - and tears filled my eyes - this was a YES signal and I think this is the way to go - this is what regular citizens can do to come together, raise the energy for Peace and make a difference... this kind of thing -

Citizens around the world want Peace, Prosperity and Friendship - not all the crap we have to put up with now with war and division... (I'll get off my soapbox / pulpit now.... )

Russian boy praised for saving two minors in Ukrainian attack
A ten-year old boy from Russia’s Bryansk Region is being hailed as a hero after he managed to save the lives of two first-graders during an attack by Ukrainian saboteurs on Thursday.

According to local media reports, Fyodor and two girls, Zlata and Lena, were being driven to school by their neighbor, a 63-year-old man known as Uncle Lenya on the morning of March 2. On their way they encountered a group of armed men.

After realizing that the men were not Russian servicemen the driver attempted to turn the car around and flee, but the Ukrainian operatives opened fire on the vehicle, killing the driver on the spot and wounding Fyodor in the chest.

Despite being shot, Fyodor managed to pull the girls out of the car and escape the scene. “Fedya [Fyodor] told us ‘go to the forest,’” one of the first-graders told the Moskovsky Komsomolets outlet. “I was there, in that car. I saw people in white uniforms and one in green. Fedya showed us where to go and we ran together,” she said.

Fyodor and the girls eventually made it out of the area and were able to catch a ride to the nearby settlement of Novy Ropsk, where the boy was taken to the hospital. Doctors managed to extract a NATO-issue bullet from his chest. Doctors say Fyodor’s condition is stable and that he is expected to make a full recovery.

Bryansk Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz paid a personal visit to Fyodor on Friday and commended him on his bravery. “Despite being so young, he acted like a real man, like a true fighter,” Bogomaz wrote on his Telegram channel. The governor has announced that documents are currently being prepared to award him with a medal ‘For Courage.’

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also stated on Friday that “everyone in the Kremlin and the president are in awe of the heroism of the boy and the man [Uncle Lenya]” and announced that their actions will be officially noted.

The Ukrainian operatives who crossed into Russia’s Bryansk Region on Thursday have since been forced back to Ukrainian territory and hit with a “massive artillery strike,” the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said.

Why Bakhmut Is Falling

Just two days ago I reported that Bakhmut is falling. The Ukrainian soldiers there are outgunned 1 to 10 and die under artillery fire with little chance to shot back. More reports from the front have since come in. They support my dire view.

The German pro-Ukrainian news outlet Bild reported this morning that there were misgivings in the Ukrainian war leadership:

President Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi have conflicting views on how the military should handle the situation in Bakhmut, according to unnamed sources within the Ukrainian political leadership cited in a report by Bild.

Bild writes that Zaluzhnyi was deliberating a tactical withdrawal from Bakhmut weeks ago over concern for the wellbeing of his troops.

The Ukrainian government told Bild that remaining in Bakhmut was the right decision due to the serious damage it inflicted on Russian military personnel and equipment. However, according to other sources cited by the publication, the situation is at risk of becoming untenable.

"The vast majority of soldiers in Bakhmut do not understand why the city is being held," a Ukrainian military analyst told Bild on condition of anonymity.

Just hours after that item came out Zelensky's office issued a press release denying any such trouble (machine translation):

On Monday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff.
The commanders of the operational and strategic troop groups reported on the situation on the main front lines.

The members of the Staff considered the situation in Bakhmut in particular. Assessing the course of the defense operation, the President asked Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi and Commander of the operational and strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia" Oleksandr Syrskyi about further actions in the Bakhmut direction. They spoke in favor of continuing the defense operation and further strengthening our positions in Bakhmut.

I do not believe that Zaluzhnyi and Sirskyi gave such advice. The situation for the Ukrainians in Bakhmut (Ru: Artyomovsk) is hopeless and they certainly know it. Losses would be less if the troops would pull back to the next defense line on the higher grounds west of Bakhmut.

The current situation is a mess:

To move out of Bakhmut or to move supplies in one has to cross a 10 kilometer long corridor which is only 6 kilometer wide and completely covered by Russian artillery and ground fire. The results of attempts to run that gauntlet can be read in the Russian Defense Ministry's daily report:

In Donetsk direction, the active action of the 'Yug' Group of Forces and artillery operation have resulted in the elimination of up to 225 Ukrainian personnel, five infantry fighting vehicles, nine armoured fighting vehicles, five pickups, four motor vehicles, one Uragan MLRS, and one D-30 howitzer.
One ordnance depot of 55th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and one U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-37 counterbattery warfare radar have been destroyed near Dachnoye and Chasov Yar (Donetsk People's Republic) respectively.

Losing 23 transport vehicles in a day, plus the people in them, is quite severe. It has stopped to freeze in Bakhmut and the fields are now too muddy to drive over them. Here is video of some pickups which tried and got messed up by artillery fire. All roads out are under direct Russian fire. The best way to move in or out is thereby probably a long walk through the muddy fields.
