If you research maps of this area you'll see it had many names and inhabited by many different tribes for several thousands of years. Before 1900 there was never a map that I know of that actually had a section of land on it with the word "Palestine" written as a specific country. I'm no expert but I believe the word Palestine derived from the word Philistia or Phillastines, which actually was a tribal area of where Gaza is now. Gaza is a very ancient city.
That whole area where Israel/Gaza/West bank is now was called Judea, Samaria, and Galilee for a long long time. The whole area was fought over, renamed, and had different boundries many times over. The more you research this area the more one realizes the word Palestine could actually mean a region of many tribes of peoples.
The whole history of the middle east is so complex and confusing it's no wonder its a tinder box over there. Then having outsiders coming in there telling them how they should live etc even makes matters worse.
    Yes, that's all absolutely true.

    What Did Biden Promise Netanyahu?
My concern, and I suspect that of many others, is that Biden told Netanyahu:
    1. Go ahead with the Gaza ground invasion. We'll support you with intelligence, surveillance, and elite special forces. (They'll be in IDF uniform, don't worry.)
    2. If Hezbollah, Iran and/or Syria then attacks Israel to open other fronts, we'll bomb the hell out of them on your behalf.
I'm going to make a prediction. I'll say it once only. If all this actually does escalate as in 1+2 above, then Israel will end up destroyed.

With all that firepower sitting in the Mediterranean Sea, Israel may be thinking that they'll never have the chance like this again to take out both Hamas and Hezballah and might be on the verge of just going for it. All or nothing. Sounds crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are actually discussing this. I'm starting to think the reason they haven't gone into Gaza yet is because they are waiting on the 2 US carrier fleet to arrive and is readied. I read somewhere today that another battleship group is also heading there.

Either way, I think we'll see something big happen rather soon.

I think Netanyahu has a higher pecking order than Biden. Remember he got standing ovations on a visit to the US during Obama era? Remember he boasted Obama would run for the phone when he called him? I don't think Biden knows much of what is going on. So Biden would have been told by Netan "Watch your steps. You are in my country"

I won't stick my neck out for the "reality" of this photo, other than it is Syrian on the report of Al Tanf and Conoco Field attacked by Iraqis:

Who knows what that is, other than it looks like Americans in a walled compound.

Yes the available history is 4,000+ years old; the modern situation is the outcome of breaking up the Ottoman Empire.

Entente may have been the worst possible manipulated collaboration of Europe, which is behind Sykes-Picot:

a 1916 secret treaty between the United Kingdom and France

...the British government agreed to recognize Arab independence...

which is a legal act, followed by the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which is, rather, a statement of Zionism.

Ok. What was in the legal matters?

The Arabs require (1) recognition of their nationality, (2) protection of their race from alien oppression, and (3) an opportunity of re-establishing their position as a contributing factor in the world's progress.

Wait a second. The Arabs got tossed a cookie as a reward for combat operations.

Everyone else got colonized. Like, for example, the Kurds might have appreciated those three conditions. Now they are "a problem".

    Here is a religious reaction:

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed one of the goals of its insurgency is to reverse the effects of the Sykes–Picot Agreement for the purpose of building a united Islamic State.

But that is Wikipedia with a dearth of additional material, i. e. something secular like Syria, and this example just makes it look like Zionists versus Caliphates, which is not quite the case. Most of the locals had issues with the British and French to begin with. That is why the Syrian expression for "he's lying" is:

    smells British.

The ongoing trouble with Zionism is that "my system" supports it, and I do not agree and cannot affect the system.

Hezbollah is rather a private charity. They could get free money from a guy in Malaysia, due to his support, not because the country runs a propaganda and tax regime to force him to do that.

So now you see the Fascists won two engineered World Wars and have pressed their luck here and in Ukraine.

On a popular level, it conveys religious lies about Judaism and Christianity. You have been hosed. Those are fabrications.

Fighting and dying for a "supreme ideology" as Schwab (or ISIL) would have you do is Fundamentalism.

That is so stupid because I can easily be friends with someone who may be my ideological adversary. That is fine. If one is a Jew and another a Muslim, it means at a certain level, they disagree about something, which has absolutely nothing to do with whether they can live together peacefully, like in ancient Gaza or modern Syria.

All real religions are absolutely non-denominational in terms of human issues.

    Qv. the Druze:

Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt urged Israeli Druze citizens and conscripts on Sunday not to participate in hostilities in the Palestinian territories.

In a statement on X, Jumblatt asked Druze Arabs not to take part in such conflicts.

“The march of history, no matter how long it takes, goes hand in hand with the freedom of peoples, and the day will come when Palestine and its sanctities will return to their Arab owners,” he said.

On Saturday, Jumblatt issued statements in support of the attacks launched by the Palestinian Hamas group against Israel.

    Whereas last month:

Israel's Druze spiritual leader wrote to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday that the relationship between the country and the Druze community is in danger, and warned that if solutions to the community's distress and persecution are not...(met, protest may take a different face)

Put that in a microscope and you will see the Druze were pretty specifically tri-partitioned by the makers of borders.

So, no, arbitrary British colonies are not accepted on a mass popular level. That is why the state entity will be replaced.

Yes, what's happening in Gaza is horrible but it's Hamas and Hamas's own charter that is blatantly calling for genocide of a peoples.
And then Israels response to Hamas appears genocidal, how can either side expect peace to magically appear behaving like this?
Everything about this whole ordeal is wrong, upside down and backwards.
Hamas is not in control of the people of Gaza, other than on paper. The people of Gaza are running around afraid, scrambling for their lives, picking up the dead and injured, and half of the citizens of Gaza are children. Thinking that the Palestinians of Gaza are thinking or "expecting" is erroneous. They are running for their lives, they are feeling, experiencing, terrorized - not thinking or pondering.

Nope. I do not trust the BBC one bit.

The stranglehold that Israel has over NATO media has never been demonstrated so clearly as between 8pm and midnight (UK time) yesterday.

At around 8pm UK time, BBC and all other NATO media reported a huge “Israeli airstrike” on a Gaza hospital that had killed hundreds maybe even over a 1,000 given that the hospital itself was bombed so the wounded would not get treatment. Complete carnage.

The headlines on ALL articles specifically said “Israeli airstrike”.

None other than Hananya Naftali IDF digital spokesperson quickly claimed responsibility with a tweet that he later deleted.

    https://t.me/warmonitors/16345

Another Israeli government account said that “euthanasia” had been provided to collapsing Gaza hospitals. That tweet was also deleted.

Israel has been giving evacuation orders to hospitals all week and threatening to bomb them.

With immediate outrage over the next 3 hours, the entire NATO media narrative quckly scrubbed those headlines replacing it with “Israel blames xyz” soon to be followed by Israel has “proof” that xyz dunnit.
You do not trust the BBC one bit? So when they report the football scores do you actually think they are all wrong and England didn't beat Italy 3-1 last night and they actually are not qualifying for the euros.

The BBC definitely have an agenda on many issues including this one but they are also under some scrutiny. Although I am sceptical of all. I would trust what they say on this issue more than I would on jihadist publications that have more skin in the game.

It sounds like from your post that we should apportion blame by the nature of social media posts and not hard forensic evidence that exists from video footage of the event and the aftermath on the ground. So the police would be better at investigating crimes by analysing the social media posts than by doing a thorough investigation of the crime scene?

Im not even convinced that Hananya Naftali is the IDF spokesperson. Although he does seem to work with the government as a social media advisor and content creator.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/IsraelPales..._spokesperson/

Quote Naftali is an Israeli human rights activist with more than 350,000 followers and has been continuously tweeting about the conflict.
He describes himself as: “That Israeli who talks to the camera about peace in the Middle East.”

Even if he is a IDF spokesperson, his tweets were not necessarily made with full awareness of all the details of the incident. This is not evidence that israel did it.

    This is Hananya Naftalis response

Following the uproar, Naftali quickly apologised on Twitter, claiming he was simply quoting an article he had seen on Reuters.

    https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/10/1...s-responsible/

Actually I think this is quite interesting

I wouldn't be surprised if the agenda is to purposely make this whole event very ambiguous to decipher. To further create division.

Absurd comparison of the coverage of a potential attack on a hospital and the reporting of a football game that is watched by millions and recorded live by thousands.

My skepticism is based on BBC's history of coverups and Israel's track record of lies and human rights violations. I don't believe BBC is impartial in this conflict.

You assume that i believe Jihadi publications because i'm suspicious of MSM?
In light of current events, I will agree though that i'm paying more heed to raw information than a carefully constructed narrative.
I really wish people would thoroughly read my posts before commenting back and misrepresenting my words

This was a light hearted way to point out the absurdity of your comment that you don't believe the BBC one bit. Of course, on many news reports you will trust what they report. For instance on the football.

I said myself in my post that I believe the BBC have an agenda on the Israel issue and I am sceptical. That is different to saying I do not believe the BBC one bit which would be an inauthentic statement. Sometimes the BBC can report something that will be useful and I can asses it through the lens of their known agenda

Where did I say in my post that you believe Jihadi publications because you don't believe the BBC one bit? That is you jumping to a conclusion that I did not make

I'm just merely pointing out they have an agenda as well. That they should be treated as sceptically if not more than the BBC because they have more skin in the game .

But I am not going to make ludicrous statements like 'I do not trust Jihadi publications one bit' because they probably have some interesting insights on certain issues which again I can asses through the lens of their known agenda
Fair enough. I should have said, "I do not trust the BBC one bit on this matter".

A history lesson by Dr. Gabor Mate, holocaust survivor, with compassion and deep insights.

I had never heard this before, but in Isreal it is forbidden to talk about the "Naqba", i.e. the 1967 catastrophic expulsion & killing of Palestinians by Jewish militants. Sounds like a very deliberate attempt of erasing history.

Gabor Mate concludes that Isreal will not succeed in the end, as the zionist enterprises is not sustainable.

As Hal Turner posted this morning , the calm before the storm, everybody is ready , all are in position. The main stream news here in the states are only showing 25 seconds of Biden's speech last night, nothing else, no stories on this church being leveled, nothing. I emailed Congress and reps opposing any money for any war, the u.s.gave money to Iran who backs Hamas and now is going to send money to Israel WTF.

It was stated this morning since we still don't have a speaker NO money can be approved for anything, thank God for incompetence. I can say for those of us Americans that have no connection to Israel or Palestine like me most are saying enough of the war, killing, bombing, enough. The year is 2023, its time to live in peace. We are better than this , all of us.

This is a little bit behind the news. The Carolyne GLick Show is an Israeli show. She talks about Biden still being on his way to Israel. She's critical of Biden's motives for visiting, and implies that Israelis are fully aware that he/USA is double dealing.

Apparently, Blinken sat in the Israeli cabinet office for 7 hours dictating terms for US support. That makes me wonder who Blinken is really getting his orders from.

The Real (and Awful) Reason Biden is Coming to Israel | The Caroline Glick Show IN FOCUS
    Oct 18, 2023

Antony Blinken returns while Israeli troops sit on the Gaza border, President Biden handicaps Israel's security and the world continues to turn a blind eye to Hamas' atrocities and corruption.

Journalist and author Caroline Glick breaks down the news and explains the real reason Biden is in Israel.

Just as a heads up, Judge Napolitano (who is an excellent interviewer, and his videos are always a concise and focused 20-25 mins max), has a bunch of interesting and potentially very valuable videos coming up today. Here they are:

I strongly advise against entering those tunnels in Gaza,

it’s strategically very naive in my opinion and can only result in great loss of lives.

Presume for a moment that your enemy was preparing for the last case scenario for longest possible time.

The terrorist heads have amassed nukes in briefcase or various versions of advanced artillery sufficient to blow a small area to dust forever .

It’s not wise , I mean and well like usually

    🙏 don’t shoot the messenger

    So sad ☔️

If they’re so caring about their terrorist I suggest fencing the area would suffice . After few weeks most would surface or blow themselves up.

It would save lives and resources .
