Alexander Mercouris gives his usual thorough update on the current situation in Ukraine and what a sorry tale he has to tell. Among other things, Alexander reports that:

- Putin feels he's allowed the West to string him along and that there's no chance of a negotiated solution to the conflict;
- Ukraine refugees are being threatened with losing benefits if they don't return to fight, which puts them firmly between a rock and a hard place. It should be noted that many European countries are against this.
- There are rumours that the West will use confiscated Russian assets for funding the war in Ukraine; if so, apart from the legality of it, this may backfire if other countries decide it's not a good idea to hold assets in the West.

Finland entered into a defense cooperation agreement with the United States on Monday, allowing the U.S. military access to Finnish national security facilities. In the past month, Finland closed its border with Russia, accusing the Kremlin of sending migrants in an act of 'hybrid warfare.'

This new video is largely about the predicament within the US, but the first 20 minutes are MOST MOST interesting, very relevant to this thread.

Michael Jaco interviews Dr Scott Bennett, a former US Army Special Operations Officer who has just returned from Russia.

When he was there, Bennett trained with the Spetsnaz (Russian Elite Special Forces), and went to the front lines with them, in combat.

I learned more from what he recounts in his opening 20 minutes than in every other video or article I've seen or read, including those from Douglas Macgregor or Scott Ritter. It was totally illuminating in a whole bunch of ways.

Interestingly, he saw other Americans, together with South Koreans, Japanese and Serbians, also fighting alongside the Russians. Bennett reports that they all explained: "Russia is the only uncorrupted nation."

HIGHLY recommended for anyone who's been closely following this thread, and this conflict. Trust me. Just the first 20 minutes.

(There's also one brief section starting at 52:50, when Bennett returns to mention advanced Russian drone warfare, and how the drone operators train for 40 hours until they can fly them "like peregrine falcons". It's a very short section before they resume discussing internal American problems, but it was also most interesting.)

Finally some balls ! I asked myself from years! where are the balls from this country? (US)with Thousands and Thousands veterans from all wrong wars they fought...
Most of them treating to survive their PST,Thousands and Thousands committed suicide, but the rest?

◾️According to the Russian Defence Ministry, Russian forces repelled 16 attacks by Ukrainian forces in various directions, destroying up to 620 Ukrainian militants and four tanks, including a German Leopard 2;

◾️Russian air defences intercepted 6 HIMARS and Uragan MLRS shells overnight;

◾️A Ukrainian kamikaze drone attacked an asphalt compactor on a bridge in the Graivoron district of the Belgorod region, injuring 3 workers, Governor Gladkov said;

◾️The number of shells fired from the Ukrainian side on the territory of the Belgorod region exceeded 70 for the second day in a row, the governor said;

◾️The AFU shelled Gorlovka in the DPR for half an hour, firing 18 shells of the NATO calibre of 155 millimetres, the DPR representative to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to Ukrainian War Crimes said;

◾️The explosions occurred in Dnepr, Ukraine, amid an air alert, Ukrainian media reported;

◾️The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE ODIHR) said it was not in contact with the Ukrainian authorities regarding the list of so-called "victims in Bucha".

Journalist investigating the purchase of a luxury villa by Zelensky's mother-in-law has died in 'mysterious circumstances'.

The body of journalist Mohammed al-Alawi was found in a deserted area, according to Egyptian media quoting police. Multiple fractures and haematomas were found on his body, and his death was caused by a cerebral haemorrhage due to a severe head injury.

The publication's source said Al-Alawi was beaten by a group of people.

In August, Al-Alawi published an investigation into a luxury villa bought by Olga Kiyashko, Zelensky's mother-in-law. The villa was located in the so-called "city of millionaires" in Egypt.

This was reported by the state channel "Vesti. Crimea".
