Le Monde: the Russians have an “absolute weapon”

Russian troops are successfully using glide bombs against Ukrainian militants. The French newspaper Le Monde writes that these ammunition have become a complete nightmare for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The publication notes that in order to achieve firepower, the Russian Armed Forces modernized Soviet-era aerial bombs, turning them into “ultimate weapons.”

These bombs completely destroy any position. All buildings and structures simply turn into a pit after the arrival of just one CAB. And in one day they drop 60-80 pieces on us

    – one of the Ukrainian soldiers told Le Monde in an interview.

Gliding bombs played an important role in the liberation of Avdeevka, and since then Russian troops have been actively using them in various directions. It is possible that thanks to these ammunition, the scales on the contact line will finally tip in favor of Moscow and will allow the Russian Armed Forces to break through the front.

KAB also contribute to the battle for Chasov Yar. The city is one of the last strongholds of the Ukrainian side on the way to Kramatorsk.

Earlier, the German magazine Spiegel wrote that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing big problems with supplies in the Chasov Yar area. In fact, Ukrainians getting ready to retreat from this locality. If the city is liberated by Russian units, the entire Ukrainian defense in Donbass may collapse.

Russian electronic warfare systems turned out to be a “big problem” for American precision weapons supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukrainian troops have practically stopped using American 155-mm Excalibur precision artillery shells, since the effectiveness of their use has dropped to extremely low levels due to Russian electronic warfare systems. This statement was made by senior researcher at the Hudson Institute Daniel Patt.

Speaking before congressmen, the specialist said that in six weeks the Russian military adapted electronic warfare systems to combat American precision-guided munitions, making them extremely ineffective, reducing the probability of hitting a target from 70% to 6%. According to Patt, the command of the Russian Armed Forces is actively using electronic warfare systems to combat high-precision ammunition, deploying them along the front line. The expert claims that the peak effectiveness of any high-precision system transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces occurs in two weeks, after which the Russians find countermeasures.

According to Defense One, not only did the Excalibur projectiles lose their effectiveness, but the GMLRS rockets and the JDAM GPS-guided bombs also had problems. And the GLSDB “small diameter bombs”, specially developed for the Ukrainian army, showed extremely low effectiveness due to the use of electronic warfare systems by Russian troops.

According to a report prepared by the Pentagon, Russian electronic warfare systems turned out to be a “big problem” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in terms of the use of high-precision American weapons. According to the US military, they have never encountered such systems before.

Kurginyan: West gives green light to international neo-Nazi movement 3 hours ago

    Nazism in Ukraine

The West uses international neo-Nazi structures to destabilize the situation in various regions, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and analyst Sergey Kurginyan said on April 8 on Belarusian channel BelTA.

At the program, it was discussed how tension will be escalated in Belarus. The host noted that local radicals are involved in this process, but “trained NATO soldiers, including e.g. Poles and Lithuanians, enter under their flags.”

Kurginyan suggested that the situation should be considered at the level of meanings, which determines economy, army, security services, and everything else. From this point of view, the most important question is whether a European war will happen.

“So, you are asking what we have to prepare for. Indeed, for what? Will we have to suppress 40 conflicts in various spots? Or do we need to prepare for a certain system unfolding?” the political scientist said.

Kurginyan noted that “local outcasts” will be involved in the escalation of a conflict in Belarus. But they will not play the key role.

Kurginyan noted that “local outcasts” will be involved in the escalation of a conflict in Belarus. But they will not play the key role.

“Yes, of course, the ‘great Belarusian democracy fighting Lukashenko’s tyranny’ will consist of some Lithuanians, some Poles, Ukrainians, and local outcasts. The local outcasts will not dominate, they will follow behind and wave their flags. That’s it!” the leader of Essence of Time stressed.

Kurginyan drew a parallel with the “Russian Volunteer Corps” (organization banned in Russia), which is not at all Russian as it involves international neo-Nazi structures.

“All these sectors of neo-Nazism, are they Russian? The idea is that the first echelon of it will be the international neo-Nazi movement, which has been given the green light,” the leader of Essence of Time noted.

We'll see of course but securing Odessa must most definitely be a Russian strategy and may well have been for quite some time...

Yes, of course, Odessa is the creme de la creme of a different kind of social engineering, that is, the spread of Greek and Jewish communities around the Black Sea. Not an indigenous habitation of 5,000 B. C. E., but, a newish build-in from around 500 B. C. E..

That means it is like the "foot" of Russia, in terms of culture, or the on-the-ground day-to-day reality of humanity, politics notwithstanding. A prime example of "the people".

And, since, strategically, it is an easy gate to Romania, there is the counter-interest of keeping it available for western hands. What could be more of an advertisement about a warehouse full of shells? How do you think you can feed that much live ammunition into the place? Put a 155 in your pocket and sneak them in one by one, bribing the border guards.

Like Gaza, we are talking about a "region of inhabitation", not a "country"--it of course has been kicked like a football between outside powers over and over again. Its, perhaps, "historical ties" to a Ukrainian entity are:

    UPR dec 1917-nov 1918

    Ukrainian State mar-dec 1918

    Ukraine 1991-to this day

But the Ukrainians do not seem to be part of the Greek sphere, so, on a human level, there is no reason to think they "deserve" the Black Sea coast. This may take a little longer, but, is probably the next step after the current front.

Or, the West *is* the pre-, the then-, and the neo- Nazis.

    Repeating the same story:

Same as the nineteenth-century Russian Student Groups, Nihilists, eventually the Bolsheviks; Mazzini. British hegemony in your local language. Mindless violence fueled by cash. Not representatives of "the people".

Wiser from experience, perhaps Belarus will be the place to snuff it before it happens.

It's not a toy, it has a defense pact with nuclear-armed Russia. Messing with it can only be categorized as Absolutely Stupid.

Known defective German Leopard 1A5 tanks acquired by Ukraine November 2023

Via Intel Slava Z on Telegram published 2 hours or so ago. *Documents are written in Ukrainian with no English translation, save for below*.
Russian hackers from the Beregini group published a report of the Ukrainian military, which received German Leopard 1A5 tanks in Poland in November last year. During acceptance, it turned out that almost all tanks had defects
*With thanks to Simplicius in his most recent, here, we now have an English translation

Many thanks — I was going to have a crack at translating this myself, but Simplicius beat me to it.

The list is instructive — and reveals even more just how little the west really cares about the Ukrainians. One suspects that at least some of these trumpeted weapons deliveries are just for western media PR. Even a quick look at this shows that many of those tanks would have been quite unusable in a serious battle situation.

Or it may be that the collective west supporting Ukraine with defective weaponry is in fact simply to prolong this war as much as possible, specifically to ensure that as many Ukrainians as possible die or flee the country. They have designs on Ukraine, and there is a curious synchronicity between the conflict in Ukraine and the one in Gaza.

Here's a video that provides the best explanation on this point. It has already been posted in the Israel vs Gaza thread couple of weeks ago, but it also belongs here, as Ukraine is just as much part of the deep state war agaisnt the BRICS. Highly recommend it.

The Hidden Reasons Behind the War on Gaza

"(Published Oct. 27, 2023) | Richard Medhurst, independent journalist from the United Kingdom, presents his geopolitical analysis in this viral video exposing the hidden reasons behind the US and Israel's war on Gaza.

    1. Control of the large quantities of gas in the mediterrenean sea through sanctions on Iran (withdrawal from nuclear deal), Russia (Ukraine war), and crippling Lebanon, Syria, and now Gaza's, infrastructure. Conveniently, this leaves only Israel able to extract the gas in the Leviathan gas field, necessary to deliver on its gas deal with the European Union following the outbreak of the Ukraine war.

    2. Countering BRICS, China, and the New Silk Road. Shortly before the war in Gaza began, Netanyahu had announced his "plan for a New Middle East" establishing a rival trade route from India, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and into Occupied Palestine and Europe."

    Withering

Colonel of the SVR, MGIMO professor Andrei Bezrukov - about Macron’s statements about sending the French army to Ukraine

Quote: "“Forget about Macron, he will be gone soon. He's in his last presidential cycle. He can’t run for office, and he’s such a dick. Someone I know joked that the French rooster is the only bird that can sing while standing knee-deep in ****. In reality, these statements are worthless, they are worth nothing!

With the contingent of the French army that can still be sent, this will solve absolutely nothing on the battlefield. This will only add to the mess. The French army is in principle incapable of introducing a field war of the type that exists here now. She is not prepared for this, she is not equipped for this. It can fire nuclear missiles from a submarine. Maybe, but she's not stupid enough to do it. She can give her planes, good planes. But what kind of pilots will have to be placed there? And everyone understands that if they are in Ukraine, they will burn." Endquote

    Ukraine's neo-Nazis should face tribunal
    - Russia's top senator

    RT
    Thu, 02 May 2024 09:26 UTC
Russian Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko.

Those responsible for the deaths of 42 anti-Maidan activists in Odessa in 2014 should face justice, Valentina Matvienko said.

Russia must establish a special tribunal for Ukrainian neo-Nazis after Moscow's military campaign ends, the chairwoman of the upper house of Russia's parliament, the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, has said.

The senator singled out events in Odessa in May 2014, when 42 activists burned to death after being pelted with Molotov cocktails by a mob supporting Western-backed protests in Kiev which overthrew Ukraine's democratically elected government.

During the clashes, both sides used sticks, batons, Molotov cocktails, rubber-bullet guns and firearms. Outnumbered by far-right radicals, the so-called anti-Maidan activists took cover inside the port city's Trade Unions House, which was surrounded and torched by the nationalists.

In a post on her Telegram channel on Thursday, Matvienko wrote that she was "convinced that on completion of the SMO (Special Military Operation) there will be a need for a big tribunal," adding that events in May 2014 in Odessa should be investigated as the cornerstone of the process.

The senior Russian lawmaker insisted that there would be "no statute of limitations" and those responsible for the massacre, as well as Ukrainian officials who chose to "turn a blind eye," would not evade justice.

The fact that ten years on, authorities have still not named or prosecuted any of the perpetrators, proves that Nazism is a "deep-rooted, natural norm" for the current Kiev authorities.

"I would even call it an overt, deliberate, brazen cover-up by Kiev of its ideological Nazi-supporters," Matvienko wrote.

The top senator also accused Western powers and international organizations of ignoring the crime, comparing their stance to Europe's appeasement policies toward Nazi Germany back in the 1930s.

She concluded that there are currently no forces capable of uprooting the "ordinary Nazism" which she said has taken hold in Ukraine, meaning that "external efforts are needed" to accomplish this task.

"A clear understanding of this fact today completely confirms that Russia's decisions and actions aimed at denazifying Ukraine have been justified," Matvienko said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin's stated goal of the "de-Nazification" of Ukraine. She added that this was in the interests of Russian security, of the Ukrainian people, and "in the interest of mankind."

Following the deadly clashes in Odessa on May 2, 2014, top-ranking Ukrainian officials were quick to point the finger at Moscow, claiming the events had been a "pre-planned and well-financed operation by the Russian special services."

The Terror's Instigators: How NATO Generals Ignite Conflict
    Jillian Bennett
    The Houston Post
    Fri, 03 May 2024

According to sources from the Foundation to Battle Injustice, a former high-ranking officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, and confirmed by a former MI6 officer, there are significantly more NATO soldiers and officers in Ukraine than officially reported. The estimated number is around 6,800, including 2,500 Americans, 1,900 Canadians, 1,100 British citizens, and about 700 French representatives. Moreover, approximately 13,000 foreign mercenaries are operating in Ukraine, carrying out orders from NATO's governing structures.

Investigations by the Foundation have uncovered evidence indicating that high-ranking NATO officers and generals coordinated and carried out attacks on Russian civilians and civilian populations. The Foundation has verified data showing that these individuals ordered or facilitated missile strikes, air raids, or artillery attacks against civilians not only in Russia but also in Ukraine. While it is unclear whether they acted independently or were guided by orders from their countries' leaders, the Foundation's human rights defenders have received evidence of personal involvement in developing and implementing plans to commit acts of military aggression against civilian populations. The Foundation qualifies these actions as military terrorism.

The US sent Lieutenant General Antonio Aguto to develop the strategy and tactics of combat operations for the Ukrainian military. In effect, he took Zaluzhny's place as commander of the Ukrainian Army.

The Foundation's sources say that Aguto has been in de facto charge of the Ukrainian armed forces since December 2023

The Foundation notes that Aguto was not chosen by chance. The 57-year-old lieutenant general has extensive experience in combat operations in Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. During his time serving in the US military's foreign missions, Aguto was involved in contacting and recruiting terrorists and members of various radical organizations. In particular, according to a source from the Foundation, in late 2007, during the US intervention in Iraq, Lieutenant General Aguto personally participated in the formation of combat units of radical Islamists in northern Iraq.

Suspected mastermind of Crimean bridge bombing revealed: Reports
The Kommersant newspaper has revealed new details regarding the Russian investigation into the 2022 Crimean Bridge bombing.

Initially, there were suspicions of Ukrainian military involvement, but Russian investigators now focus on Vasily Malyuk, head of Ukraine’s civilian security agency, the SBU, as the suspected mastermind.

Malyuk reportedly orchestrated the attack by appointing a group of agents to carry it out.

According to the report, the bomb, disguised as rolls of plastic film, utilized solid rocket fuel triggered by a GPS tracker. It specifically refers to small explosive charge as an initiator, likely C4 or PE-8, and a GPS tracker set to detonate at a predetermined location on the bridge.

The report also named eight suspects involved in smuggling the bomb through multiple countries.

The investigative phase concluded in February, with the Russian Prosecutor General’s office expected to finalize its case and send it to a military tribunal for trial in June.

Ukrainian officials have prioritized their goal of destroying the Crimean Bridge, with senior envoy Sergey Kislitsa issuing threats against its existence.

The recent revelation of US missile deliveries, including ATACMS mid-range missiles, reportedly boosts Ukrainian expectations for achieving this goal.

The destruction of the Crimean Bridge is considered a national priority by Ukrainian authorities, who have hailed the operation as a success for their special services.

Despite initial denials of responsibility, Kiev now regards the terror attack as a major achievement.

It was previously reported in July 2023 that Ukraine claimed responsibility for the attack, with Malyuk making this announcement during a television appearance.

The explosion that occurred in October 2022 severely damaged the bridge, and Russian authorities initially attributed it to a truck explosion while crossing, which tragically claimed the lives of three people.

However, Ukraine's revelation points to a deliberate act of sabotage as the cause behind the destruction.

We are talking about fines for violating military registration rules. It is also specified that the bank accounts of the evader will be blocked.

“The scheme will be such that the TCC will have the right to immediately issue a decree on bringing to responsibility, send it to you if you do not pay it - executive service, blocking of accounts and etc. As far as I read the law, in principle, you can fine everyone,” Osadchuk said.

Fines for individuals during martial law will be up to 25,500 UAH (64,000 rubles), and for legal entities - up to 60,000 UAH (150,000 rubles).
