I continue to find a change of tone in the wires today:

We usually don't get much on the result of the paramilitaries. I'm content with a brief blurb of what someone says they found in Israeli newspapers or tv. Spares me the trouble of dealing with it.

There may come a time when today's "dramatic" is "not considered newsworthy", but, this brief glance is at what must be multiple payloads of at least 100 pounds TNT equivalent, and a blast fragmentation radius of at least a hundred meters. Five or more of those in any small area is dramatic enough.

It sounds like we are at a goo-goo level of thumbsucking delight when someone is able to make their case against Palestinian statehood.

It feels like we are in an existential struggle with something that lacks a mind. I don't know what that would be. I would just like it to go rest quietly in Wyoming or wherever its natural habitat might be--not the same as mine obviously.

As someone who is very pro Israel, I actually support this move. Rafahs too densely packed for bombs. The IDF should at least delay until more civilians have made the crossing. I believe its 300,000 are planned for in an evacuation, so Israel should stick to ground ops for now.

Just a note here. This short video is totally worth watching! But Palestine has not "become a member state". The General Assembly vote was a strong recommendation to the Security Council to recommend Palestine as a new member state. However — of course — the US has already said that it will veto the resolution when it is presented.

They are mostly airlifted.

Yemen just announced the *intent* to attack Mediterranean shipping. It is a long distance, which stretches their cutting-edge capabilities.

There probably has been *some* sea transit, in the middle of the U. S. Navy--much harder to hit. So far, the Navy seems to have intercepted everything launched at them. So far, I wouldn't say the Yemeni strikes are very good--except a number of mediocre attempts has had a few strong results.
