The "sea people" of the Mediterranean and North Atlantic (my ancestors) have been attacking the "land people" of central Eurasia (Russian and Slavic) for many centuries, with great loss of life. That Russian bear may be old and scarred, but it's one damn tough old bear.

Maybe we sea people should let the bear be, and quit trying to take its land and kill its cubs. If we did, then the bear might leave us be. If we continue our aggression, the bear will become increasingly dangerous and many more will die. Respect the various peoples of this earth, and their various lands (granted - not something my ancestors have shown much talent for.)

In war, there is an unbelievable difference in motivation between being an attacker in a foreign continent and being someone who protects his home.

That is why Finnish people could frustrate Soviets in WW2. Finnish were protecting their homes, and Russians, led by Soviet elite, were forced to to fight for world conquest.

In Ukraine war, the situation is same. Std-Ukrainians may not quite understand what they are fighting for (NATO/US?) -- but Russians know that this is to protect Mother Russia, at any cost.

On 3rd April, Presidents of Finland and Ukraine, Alexander Stubb and Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a defense pact between the two nations. Finland has not signed such bilateral pacts with a war-going country since our President Risto Ryti signed a Ryti-Ribbentrop-pact in June 1944, which was actually just a personal letter from President Ryti to the leader of the Nazi-Germany, Adolf Hitler, where he vouched that he would not pursue for peace with the Soviet Union (Russia).

The second paragraph on crimes of high treason in Finnish law states that:

If any person in Finland or a Finnish citizen outside Finland, during a military or international political crisis affecting Finland or an imminent threat thereof, with intent to bring Finland to war or to an act of war,

1) publicly incites a foreign state to commit an act of aggression against Finland or Finland to commit an act of aggression against a foreign state,
2) publicly disseminate statements or other expressions intended to influence public opinion in favor of the use of acts of aggression,

in a way that the act clearly increases the risk of Finland being involved in a war or a war act, she must be sentenced to imprisonment for inciting war.

How can our President tie Finland militarily to a country that is in a war against Russia thus risking Finland being dragged into the war directly, without fulfilling the above-mentioned clause for a high treason? If war between Russia and Finland breaks out because of this commitment, I can see no other outcome than that President Stubb has committed a high treason.

Moreover, aren't the public statements of President Stubb and Minister of Defense

against Russia clearly increasing the risk of Finland getting dragged into a war?

🇺🇦🇺🇸⚔️❓The United States is looking for partners to build a railway to a military airfield near Lvov. The 14th Aviation Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was previously based there.

The US Agency for International Development invites interested firms or consortia to submit applications to redevelop the 75-kilometer section between Lvov and the Mostyska II freight station by July 1, 2024.

According to the project, the entire section will be equipped with the European standard (1435 mm), so as not to change carriage bogies when transporting goods from the EU.

Now the airfield infrastructure is used by Lvov International Airport. Daniil Galitsky, which has not been functioning since the end of February 2022.

It was previously reported that the integration of Ukraine's logistics routes into NATO infrastructure to prepare for war with Russia has already begun

The AFU losses amounted to up to 300 Ukrainian troops, two pickup trucks, two 152-mm D-20 howitzer, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, and one UK-made 105-mm L-119 howitzer.

In addition, one AFU ammunition depot has been destroyed.

▫️Units of the Zapad Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on formations of the AFU 14th, 116th mechanized brigades, 77th Airmobile Brigade, and 1st National Guard Brigade near Petropavlovka, Sinkovka (Kharkov region), Stelmakhovka, and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People's Republic).

Two counter-attacks launched by formations of the AFU 3rd Tank Brigade and 110th Territorial Defense Brigade were repelled. The AFU losses amounted to up to 450 Ukrainian troops, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles, and two motor vehicles.

In the course of counter-battery warfare, one U.S.-made 155-mm M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, one U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, one 152-mm 2A65 Msta-B howitzer, one 152-mm D-20 howitzer, one 122-mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, and one UK-made 105-mm L-119 howitzer were neutralized.

▫️Units of the Yug Group of Forces improved the tactical situation along the front line and inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 5th Assault Brigade, 71st Jaeger Brigade, and 79th Air Assault Brigade near Minkovka, Kalinin, Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka, Katerinovka, and Karlovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 560 Ukrainian troops, one U.S.-made M113 armored personnel carrier, one U.S.-made Humvee armored fighting vehicle, and five pickup trucks.

In the course of counter-battery warfare, two U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzers, one U.S.-made 155-mm M198 howitzer, one 152-mm 2A65 Msta-B howitzer, two 152-mm D-20 howitzers, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers, one UK-made 105-mm L-119 howitzer, and two Bukovel-AD and Anklav electronic warfare stations were neutralized.

▫️Units of the Tsentr Group of Forces improved the tactical situation and inflicted losses on formations of the AFU 27th, 110th mechanized brigades, 144th Infantry Brigade, and 109th Territorial Defense Brigade near Novgorodskoye, Yevgenovka, Umanskoye, Vozdvizhenka, Kamishevka, and Toretsk (Donetsk People's Republic).

Five counter-attacks launched by assault detachments of the AFU 23rd, 24th, 47th mechanized brigades, and 68th Jaeger Brigade were repelled.

The AFU losses amounted to up to 355 Ukrainian troops, six motor vehicles, two 152-mm 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, one U.S.-made 105-mm M119 howitzer, and one BM-21 Grad MLRS combat vehicle.

▫️Units of the Vostok Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of the AFU 72nd Mechanized Brigade, 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade, 102th, and 108th territorial defense brigades near Pavlovka, Shevchenko, Vladimirovka (Donetsk People's Republic), and Marphopol (Zaporozhye region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 120 Ukrainian troops, two infantry fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two Polish-made 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery systems, and one UK-made 155-mm FH-70 howitzer.

Two AFU field ammunition depots were destroyed.

▫️Units of the Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on formations of the AFU 128th Mountain Assault Brigade and 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade near Kamenskoye (Zaporozhye region) and Dnepropetrovskoye (Kherson region).

The AFU losses amounted to up to 110 Ukrainian troops, one U.S.-made M113 armored personnel carrier, four motor vehicles, one Polish-made 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery system, one U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, one 152-mm D-20 howitzer, and one 122-mm D-30 howitzer.

▫️Operational-Tactical Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces delivered strikes at command posts of the AFU 5th Assault Brigade, 54th, and 92nd mechanized brigades, as well as engaged manpower and hardware clusters in 124 areas during the past 24 hours.

▫️Air defense units shot down 43 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, ten U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles, and three French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs.

📊In total, 613 airplanes and 276 helicopters, 25,934 unmanned aerial vehicles, 531 air defense missile systems, 16,374 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,344 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 10,645 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 22,687 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
