If this was an episode of '24', she'd be on trial for Treason. She'd be found not guilty, but the legal process of Discovery might be very interesting.

The weirdness just gets more weird!

I find it odd that she actually went through that hearing yesterday only to resign the next day. Why would she do that?

On its face, nothing really has been making any sense for weeks now.

P.S. -- Some have been wondering why the reported location of the alleged sniper Crooks' body was several feet away from his gun, after the shooting ended. Perhaps Crooks never shot, and had already left his gun to get away, when bad guy snipers shot him, from a second story window of a building just behind him.

Don't think that's the case, judging by this footage taken just seconds before the first shots rang out.

No, he's only speculating that Crooks didn't fire the first shots. It's not clear from the footage if he did. However, there is no dispute that he was holding the rifle when those first shots sounded. It's perfectly plain in the picture. He's holding the rifle and taking aim at his target, and I believe it's safe to assume he was still holding it when he was killed seconds later.

I may be showing my lack of familiarity with firearms, but I'd not expect to be able to see Crooks mouth and mustache, if he was on his sights, while holding a rifle for right handed shooting and while I was viewing from his right side. Rather I'd expect the rifle to be high enough on his cheek to block my view of his mouth and mustache.

There may be a question here of whether he had a scope, or was using iron sights. I suppose that a scope might sit higher on the barrel, resulting in the rifle being lower on the side of his face, blocking less of it. My recollection however is that I read something claiming his rifle only had iron sights ... but neither my recollection nor much of what I read is entirely reliable.

The guy testifying just said that he was briefed that Crooks fired 8 times and that 8 shell casings were found near his body. WTF?????
