Default Are Trump Supporters A Virus?

This first video here was originally posted by Raskolnikov in Bill's thread about the woke reaction to Trump's victory.

A man wearing a MAGA hat is walking thru New York City, recording the reactions he's getting from his fellow New Yorkers. I was struck by the expressions he provoked; I expected some displeasure or mockery perhaps, but what I saw was something like disdain bordering on hatred. There was something quite sinister about it all.

    41 seconds long:

    Source: https://www.bitchute.com/video/igOZo6AHKLui

I was instantly reminded of the movie 'Inception'; a technology is presented in the movie which allows one person or persons to enter the mind of a "dream architect" while everyone participating is put under an induced sleep. But it's just a matter of time before the architect's subconscious is aware it's being infiltrated and rounds savagely on the infiltrators. The architect's subconscious takes the form of other humans, and they quickly grow increasingly hostile towards the intruders until it becomes violent. But before that happens, they offer deeply hateful looks...like the ones in the NY City video:

Start around the one minute mark:

As I was just watching now, the dialogue made an impression on me. It seemed quite apropos given the current situation...

"Why are they looking at me?" the female character asks.

Leo: "Because my subconscious feels that something else is creating this world, and the more you change things the quicker the projections start to converge on it."

And Leo's character later says, "They sense the foreign nature of the dreamer. They attack like white blood cells attacking an infection."

I'm presenting the dialogue and the dream as metaphor for our current social/political situation...or am I?

Our reality is often referred to as a dream, or "Maya" as the Buddhists call it. In light of this theory, the next logical question is, who is doing the dreaming?

I'm not sure where I'm going with all this really, except that I can't help but think of something like A.I. at the moment, and programmed virtual reality. Perhaps the program (leftists, wokies, the deep state, etc) recognizes the resistance (heterodox folks, Trump supporters, alt community types etc) as some kind of virus, quite literally. It might explain the hate, which often appears to me as something artificial, programmed, unreasonably histrionic, and without logic.

    Just thinking out loud here...

I was just thinking as I was looking at that image and quote that in our current social/political situation, we have one set of people (woke, far left) that regard the other set of people (heterodox, Trump supporters) as a collective virus; whereas the heterodox/Trump supporters typically view the woke left as being under the influence of a mind virus. That's quite a distinction actually, and it tells a story.

In other words, one set of people (woke left) deeply dehumanizes the other set (heterodox, Trump supporters), whereas the heterodox/Trump people view the woke left as being the victim of an outside force.

I guess I'm trying to understand the origin of that mentality. I'd like to understand where all that hatred comes from.

Until the media is held accountable for this we can't be surprised by the effectiveness of the outcome.

Some have a strong internal reality compass that can lead them through storms of lies.
Others do not and depend on the instructions they receive

The rhetoric crossed many lines with angry deliveries, impassioned deliveries, crying deliveries, manic deliveries, attempts at humorous deliveries, subtle deliveries, pseudo intellectual deliveries, fashion oriented deliveries and probably not a few subliminal deliveries.
    Non-stop...
    Constant...
    Never argued never checked.
Always there even when it's not.
Have you ever listened to the FM radio?
While driving I'm amazed at the dribble coming out of the mouths of talking heads as they try to think of things to talk about while adhering to their matching orders of don't mention anything political.

Country songs that should be pandering to God, Country and the political right all spinelessly indulging in drinking, casual sex and the same crap pop music sings about.

Female DJs on the morning radio show during my commute, talking in detail about random personal hook ups with details thus openly campaigning for permanent promiscuity among women. Only fans sex workers on the same radio show handed a microphone and talking about how prostitution is a great gig economy job... All the while someone is letting their kids in the back seat of a car listen to all of this.
It's social engineering for the abdication of personal responsibility and the destruction of the nuclear family.

You act shocked at the amount of folks indoctrinated by all of this while I'm shocked it's not worse.

Trump's arrival forced these forces of evil to show their hand by being just over the top enough to expose their under belly.

And as such there are maybe half of us who kind of have a hint there is a massive orchestration of evil going on here and thank God for that.

I did not see that many overtly 'hateful' looks in the short clip. Some could be of course but it's up to interpretation. Not saying they look friendly.
And let's not forget the guy was also filming them with his phone I suppose and their 'unconfortableness reaction' might also have been due to this fact. I don't want to be filmed by anyone (unasked) in the street either, no matter how the person looks or what his/her intentions are. (Not that I would react in any hateful way though but I would feel uncomfortable and try to 'escape' it asap).

Nevertheless, utter disdain for Trump supporters is real. I can't recall the last time I ran across a neutral reaction to overt displays of Trump support, e.g. wearing a hat, a bumper sticker, a Trump flag, etc. In my experience, such is met with the sentiment of camaraderie or as if the perpetrator is a diseased bug that need be squished under the heal of one's shoe. The classic movie They Live comes to mind... one is either wearing the sunglasses or one is not.

Propaganda fuels this divide, but I think it goes even deeper than that, for both haters and supporters. People generally tolerate and respect disagreements and differences of opinion, even when political, so long as their differences are founded on generally agreed upon rules and givens that govern their shared reality. For the most part, we all agree the earth revolves around the sun in a 365 day period, measured by a year, etc. We can disagree about the intricacies of earthly reality within this framework, but if half the people begin to insist the earth is flat, or that the sun isn't real, or on some other paradigm that challenges the other half's understanding of reality, people tend to cling violently to their order of understanding things. To extreme degrees, one's sanity even depends on an agreement of the givens.

There are many who simply cannot comprehend how the vast majority of people (a number now overtly evident by the results of this past election) can support a felon/rapist/racist/dictator/destroyer of democracy/con man. This man is literally Hitler/Mussolini/Stalin/Mao incarnate.

In other words, these people are living in an alternate universe entirely, and they are very frightened because of it.

    Well said.

Regarding Huxley's quote: "The purpose of propaganda is to make one set of people forget that other sets of people are human."

Why is the purpose of propaganda to forget that other sets of people are human?

The answer to this question reminded me of this stanza from Robert Burns poem "Man's inhumanity to man makes countless thousands mourn!". So I looked up the poem and was shocked to find that it was written in 1784; hundreds of years before the many modern day genocides took place.
Happiness comes from within, nowhere else.

I suppose, if the enemy is not thought of as human it's easier for soldiers to kill him. Pity or conscience don't come into play if what you're doing is fighting a pestilence. That's pretty much how terrorists were viewed in the wars of the middle-east, was it not? It's also how the various Muslim sects view each other, and how Muslims see Jews and vice versa. In Northern Ireland during "the troubles" we saw Protestants and Catholics act the same way. And look what happened to the Tutsi in Rwanda back in the mid-nineties...

But this behaviour did not arrive with the gun and bomb. History is not merely riddled with mass slayings and genocide, but written by it. It's an unfortunate mainstay of the entire human story. Hatred of one's neighbour promoted by the state is the very fuel at the heart of war. And once unleashed it knows no bounds. It has the power to be the destroyer of worlds. Take the Punic wars between Rome and Carthage. Rome whipped up such an existential loathing of their Mediterranean neighbours that, during the final battle, in the siege of Carthage, the legions of Romans went on the rampage. The city was razed to the ground, brick and mortar; every man woman and child was not merely killed, but mutilated, dismembered, and burned. Carthage, a once glorious kingdom and realm was utterly, utterly erased from the map, and from history. That's just one of a myriad examples of how the state win their wars (in ancient times and today) by agitating the populace, and fomenting fear and hatred.

In regards to President Trump, the MAGA movement & the media's Qanon this is mass targeting of these individuals, just like targeted individuals.

But the thing that is going to be a game changer is the fact that RFK Junior wants to take the fluoride out of the water.

Why, because your pineal gland will begin to decalcify and once your pineal gland starts function again , in my personal experience, people may lie to you but you pick it up straight away when they do. For example, that person will say what ever they say to you and straight after you will know if what they say is true or a lie. Imagine the implications of that when all propaganda will become ineffective, all because fluoride was taken out of the water.

I spend a fair amount of time walking the streets and riding the subways and busses of New York City. I have never seen anyone wearing a MAGA hat. On the other hand, I have only twice noticed people wearing Harris t-shirts, and they were a lot more subtle than the bright red hat. One also does not see lawn signs for candidates here (lawns are rare, but you can stick in your front yard or window.) And on election day, I didn't see anyone wearing an "I voted" sticker which they do hand out at polling places in New Jersey. New Yorkers just don't wear and show their politics in hats and signs like the rest of the world, although they don't make some interesting fashion statements.

Of course everyone in New York knows about MAGA hats, but in this video they see someone actually wearing a hat. Is their reaction: "OMG, an actual MAGA hat wearer!" or "OMG, a disgusting Trump supporter?" I can't really say for sure.

Another thing about New York City, it ain't as monolithicaly Democratic as you think and it is becoming less so. In 2016, Hillary Clinton beat Trump in the New York City by a 67% margin of error. That margin of error decreased in 2020 and again in 2024 to only 32%. Similar story in the other boroughs of New York City and in the borough of Richmond (Staten Island) Trump got the majority.

Quote Democrats losing ground in New York City, data shows
    https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news...idential-race/

In New York, Trump trailed Harris by more than 900,000 votes – a smaller margin of victory than Biden had over Trump in 2020.

According to the CBS News Data Team, Democrats have been losing ground in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens since 2016.

While Harris may have beat Trump in New York City, she did it with a 37-point margin of victory, compared to Biden's 53-point margin in 2020 and Hillary Clinton's 62-point margin in 2016.

"Latinos voted in larger number for President Trump, not only nationally but in New York City. When you combine that with the new Asian groups that are voting for Republicans ... that's where it's at moving forward," political strategist J.C. Polanco said.

Political strategists say such as the trend nationally, many New York voters were driven this year by the economy and immigration, especially after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott started bussing migrants to New York two years ago.

"If you have Democrats in charge of the state, Democrats in charge of the city and Democrats in charge of the country, if you're not happy, you kind of go to the Republican candidate," said Boris Heersink, a political science professor at Fordham University.

Democratic Congressman Ritchie Torres, of the Bronx, who won his reelection, posted on X in part, "Donald Trump has no greater friend than the far left ... The working class is not buying the ivory-towered nonsense that the far left is selling."

"I don't think this vote means that people are fundamentally more conservative," said Grace Mausser, co-chair of the New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. "I think it means that they recognize that the Democratic establishment has abandoned them."

"Do you see New York City moving more and more to the right in future elections?" CBS News New York's Ali Bauman asked Polanco.

"I see New York City moving more and more to the middle," Polanco said.

That's something Polanco says New York may see in next year's mayoral election.

Democrats have been unable to complain about Trump's heinous deeds and policies in his first term because they do the exact same heinous acts. All they can do is scream in frustration about Trump's personality and appearance, and assign pejorative labels to him. The Democrat establishment has somehow been able to maintain the mental construct that Democrats are of the people and for the people, for the workers not the CEOs, for the miners and not the mine owners - yet it is complete bullsh!t. There's a mental syndrome/condition called transference that must be in play, where the patient (Democrat) has an uncomfortable clash with cognitive dissonance, where they know on a deep level that the foundation of their acceptance of Democrat actual policy/deeds (versus Democrat words) is wrong, flawed, false. That nebulous negative feeling then gets transferred to the current political enemy (amplified by ten thousand by the corporate media.) Note that the message in the screaming and crying does not contain any logic or factual reasons, just pure emotion.

Just reread my OP and all the great responses. And I'm still not sure what I was driving at in my OP exactly.

I was going to initially write about cluster-B traits; I wrote in another thread that the woke reaction was like a "collective cluster-B demon in its death throes". And I got stuck on that comment for a moment as I asked myself if I was being metaphorical or literal. I couldn't answer my own question.

And then, as I was creating this thread and offering the comparison between the MAGA haters in the video to the hostile subconscious creations in 'Inception', I was once again left wondering if I was being metaphorical or literal.

At the end I make the comparison to virus and host, and am left with the same question. Thus the thread title, "Are Trump Supporters A Virus?"

Obviously I know and respect the power of propaganda, repetitive media messaging, social engineering, and so on. But I think I was looking past all that and into the inky darkness of something else entirely. When we attempt to do this we're forced to use exotic and quasi religious language...words like demons, A.I., Archons, mass mind control technology, virus/host, etc.

Those words can offer clarity and confusion in equal measure sometimes. Yet, offering them up as metaphors seems unsatisfactory as well. So I'm stuck somewhere between the metaphorical and literal, and it feels pretty disorienting.

We're like scientists who are viewing a phenomena and are plugging in various reasons for it's existence into a formula to see of it works. Meanwhile it remains a theory, or a metaphor.

But something clicked in my mind when I recalled the dream training scene in 'Inception'. And I asked myself: are free-thinking, heterodox people sort of intruders in the psychic mind of a dreaming...demon? A.I.? Are we somehow viral, literally or metaphorically?

I dunno, maybe I'm just talkin outta my a$$

I guess you are offering to "brainstorm" with the rest of us.

What I have gotten from this thread so far is a well articulated description of the fundamental difference between the two opposing sides...

In other words, one set of people (woke left) deeply dehumanizes the other set (heterodox, Trump supporters), whereas the heterodox/Trump people view the woke left as being the victim of an outside force.
    ...
This lead me to the realization that the deeply troubled woke left are following in the footsteps of past regimes that have committed genocides. I find this conclusion quite upsetting.

Maybe this is your primary focus...

    Fear.

They're afraid of God not winning, or something that may diminish the value of their conquest, or of you.

Without externally-reinforced mental crutches, they don't have much to go on.

Ignorance is like a gate, an open door, but I would say fear is the primary engine that particularly causes little people to flock to big ones.

This is a fairly clinical view of the spread of mental illness, which has been going on as a collective for centuries. Unless someone is willing to treat it as a malady, how so many human organisms have been rendered stupid and insane, there's no way out. Just two unsolvable paradoxes barking nothingness.

Trump congratulates Hegseth on ‘good job’ after deadly Iran wedding strike
Tehran launched retaliatory attacks on US military facilities across the region after the latest bombardment

    September 3, 2026

US President Donald Trump has congratulated Secretary of War Pete Hegseth over the latest American strikes on Iran, despite one of the attacks hitting a wedding and killing several civilians.

Iranian authorities said two women and two children aged four and 16 were killed when a US munition hit a home hosting a wedding in Kuhestak, Hormozgan Province, on Tuesday. At least 67 others were wounded, many of them women and children.

According to weapons experts cited by AP and the New York Times, the fragments recovered at the site belonged to an American air-delivered guided munition, most likely a JSOW.

The Iranian Red Crescent has since asked the International Criminal Court to investigate the Kuhestak strike, while Iran’s UN envoy has urged the Security Council to condemn it.

US Central Command has said it is looking into the reports while insisting that American forces do not target civilians.

“You did a good job last night in Iran, by the way. You knocked the hell out of them,” Trump told Hegseth during an event at the White House on Wednesday. “We’re winning that one very big, by the way, in case you haven’t noticed,” he added, claiming that much of Iran’s naval and air capability has been destroyed.

Tehran responded to the latest wave of attacks by launching its own ballistic missiles and drones at US military facilities in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE, as well as Erbil in Kurdistan Region, Iraq.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) later claimed to have killed “a number of enemy elements” and destroyed several drones in a missile and UAV attack on Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base.

Kuwait acknowledged that its air defenses had intercepted incoming missiles and drones but reported no casualties. Jordan said ten of 13 ballistic missiles that entered its airspace were intercepted.

Tuesday’s wedding strike follows several other incidents in which US attacks have caused heavy civilian casualties in Iran. On the opening day of the war in February, a US strike hit an elementary school in Minab, killing 175 people, most of them children. On the same day, a US strike also killed at least 21 civilians, including seven children, in the southern Iranian city of Lamerd.

Tehran has accused Washington of war crimes throughout the conflict, reporting up to 3,000 civilian casualties since the US and Israel launched their campaign against the Islamic Republic in February.

For way over 10 years now, we have been using domestic water pumped straight from a spring, so no fluoride. I am not sure that it has made a difference to me (lived in the city before that). Have I become more attuned to BS? I know in my childhood and early adulthood I was deeply hurt by people because I trusted and did not see the BS. Now, I do see right through the BS and pick up ... do not know how to explain it, but ... I see the lies and BS. I am learning to 'roll with the punches' rather than bristle with defensiveness. I thought I am experiencing the wisdom of old age, but you think it could to with the pineal gland and fluoride?

Sorry I can't remember the term but I cannot visualise in pictures in my mind and only realised this later in life. The past few years, sometimes when I close my eyes at night I get this picture show going on, spontaneously ... very colourful and it includes the appearances of faces of people I do not recognise. Me, who cannot have a picture in my mind of anyone (have to look at photos) and I see these distinctive faces very clearly. Maybe it is about fluoride and the pineal gland?

People were seduced by propaganda and did dreadful things as groups long before fluoride was bring added to water so I am not sure that crowd think will go away.
