BREAKING: Israeli outlet Haaretz has blatantly plagiarized my post about Sky News editing their video on the Amsterdam riots, lifting a number of sentences word-for-word and only slightly revising the rest.

A side-by-side analysis shows at least five paragraphs of the Haaretz article were directly taken from my social media profile and republished with just a handful of minor edits.

The plagiarist in question is Rachel Fink — the same Rachel Fink who wrote a hit piece about me in Haaretz in June, based on a smear job by the Washington Post which was so shoddily-written that its very first sentence was immediately retracted.

Her previous piece, labeling us a “fringe news site,” was merely Haaretz’s latest attack on myself and The Grayzone. Last November, the outlet labeled editor-in-chief

a “conspiracy theorist” after he pointed out that the Israeli government killed large number of Israeli civilians in October — a ‘conspiracy theory’ which Haaretz itself went on to confirm two weeks later.

That same month, another Haaretz piece accused our top editor of carrying out a “masterclass in manipulation,” claiming Blumenthal “has a history of denying war crimes, so it's no surprise he provided a piece that very selectively uses facts, includes purposely edited quotes to change their meaning and grossly plays down the atrocities against Israelis.”

Given their long history of disparaging myself, Max Blumenthal, and The Grayzone in general, they were apparently unable to publicly credit a Grayzone employee. So they did the next best thing: shamelessly plagiarize our work and pass it off as their own.

The blatant forgery of my writing by Haaretz is pathetic — and likely illegal — but ultimately unsurprising. It does, however, raise the crucial question: is there anything Israelis won’t steal?

Trump picks Iran hawk as UN envoy
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has backed a “maximum pressure” campaign against Tehran

US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, a staunch ally of Israel and a foreign policy hawk, to serve as the next ambassador to the UN.

“I am honored to nominate Chairwoman Elise Stefanik to serve in my Cabinet as US Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tough, and smart America First fighter,” Trump said in a statement to the media on Monday.

If confirmed by the Senate, Stefanik, a congresswoman from New York, would replace career diplomat Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who has been representing the US at the UN since 2021.

In a post on X on Sunday, Stefanik wrote that the US was “ready for a return to President Trump’s MAXIMUM PRESSURE campaign against Iran.” She argued that Tehran has been “emboldened by the weakness of the Biden-Harris Administration.”

During Trump’s first term, the US scrapped the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and ramped up sanctions against the Islamic Republic. In January 2020, Iran’s senior commander, Qassem Soleimani, was killed in a US drone strike near the Baghdad airport. The White House accused Soleimani of orchestrating attacks on American military personnel and civilians in Iraq and Syria. Tehran condemned the strike as illegal under international law.
Stefanik has been one of the strongest supporters of Israel during its ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza and air strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon. She backed West Jerusalem’s decision to ban the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA), whose staffers were accused by Israel of aiding Hamas militants. “The Biden-Harris Administration has sent over $1 billion to UNRWA since 2021, filling the coffers of this terrorist front. Hezbollah designates November 11 as Martyr’s Day, a solemn occasion commemorating the sacrifice of all martyrs and especially Ahmad Kassir, who valiantly orchestrated a pivotal operation against the Israeli military command in Tyre back in 1982, reshaping the course of history.

Marking the anniversary of Martyr Kassir this year is done by achieving victory in the battle field, Afif stressed.

Afif stressed that valiant fighters of Hezbollah are eager to meet the enemy and avenge the martyrdom of their master, adding that the Resistance fight will determine the fate of the nation and the entire Middle East.

Afif added that around 65 thousand Israeli soldiers have failed to control any of the Lebanese border villages after 45 days of fierce clashes with Hezbollah fighters.

Hezbollah official underlined the firm ties between Hezbollah and the Lebanese Army, recalling the martyrdom of martyr Sayyed Hadi Nasrallah along with the Army officer Jawad Azar in addition to the martyrdom of the army officer Mohammad Farhat in the border village of Aitaroun as well as his funeral in Zgharta which turned to be a national wedding.

This reflects the real role of the army in protecting Lebanon, Afif affirmed.

Some Lebanese parties who fought the Army in the civil war allege now to defending the army by opening the political fire at the Resistance raising a normal question about the Israeli landing operation in Batroun, Afif said, emphasizing that those will fail to strike the relation between Hezbollah and the Resistance.

Afif highlighted the malicious pro-Israeli propaganda against the Resistance and its social milieu, adding that it witnessed a come-back after Hezbollah restored its power.

The Israeli aggression dates back to the thirties of the past century and has started before the emergence of Hezbollah, according to Afif who wondered about the intentions behind this reality distortion.

Afif indicated that Hezbollah acknowledges the high cost of the resistance against the occupation and aggression, asking about the alternative choice and maintaining that patience will certainly lead to victory.

Afif underscored that the battlefield was portrayed by Maariv which said that 50K Zionist soldiers have failed to occupy any Lebanese village.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed responsibility for personally ordering the detonation of thousands of communication devices across Lebanon that killed and injured thousands of people in September.

Omer Dostri, spokesperson for the premier’s office, cited him as making the remarks on Monday, ending draw-out efforts by the regime and its allies to distance it from the murderous atrocity.

At least 39 people, including two children, were killed and more than 3,400 others suffered mostly debilitating injuries throughout the country after explosives planted in advance in numerous pager and walkie-talkie devices were set off on September 18 and 19.

The casualties included many members of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement.

The blasts maimed many of the victims, afflicting them with eye and limb injuries. The injuries that ranged from missing limbs to gaping abdominal wounds and other lesions occurred after the devices beeped indicating incoming messages.

Hezbollah has, for the first time, attacked a major Israeli air force base with a significant rocket barrage as part of its retaliation against the regime’s atrocities.

The base is located south of the occupied city of Haifa, approximately 40 kilometers from the Lebanon-Palestine border.

In addition to this operation, Hezbollah launched a swarm of attack drones at the command center of the Ramim Brigade at the Hunin barracks, successfully hitting the targets with precision.

The group also targeted a logistical base of the 146th Division located north of Sheikh Dannun village, east of Nahariya.

Resistance forces further struck the Shraga base north of the occupied city of Akka with a missile barrage.

The regime’s Tel Nof air base, south of Tel Aviv, was also targeted by Hezbollah as part of these operations.
